They hosted the Paint Out Tempe event at the end of April, and I was able to participate. Starting from a blank canvas, I used acrylics, fabric paints, and pop tabs to recreate an idea I had come up with the night before the event. No, I currently don't have photos of the finished piece, but they're on the way. What really makes me feel great about the event is that I didn't feel pressured and I got my piece into a gallery for a whole month. A month! That's frakking awesome! Where'd the time go??

Both are giving me a good deal of trouble in that I cannot seem to nail down poses for either.

I fear I may end up speed-painting Dust Raven, which on the one hand might turn out really well and on the other is nowhere near what I had intended. I am sorely irritated with this block.

I had a meltdown. Complete and utter meltdown complete with crying my eyes out for hours on end and not being able to calm down.

Things are better now though.

I've got a lot going on now (mostly involving cleaning up and clearing out the house) and some of the drive has been geared toward art.

I'm not sure what order these will end up being posted in, but it'll be linework again. I'll be doing colours in a huge batch come summer, so just keep that in mind.

It's all because of an unwanted problem with my wrists, which involved an ER visit, pharmacy annoyances, and general frustration. This was followed by a weekend of my mom visiting and subsequently kidnapping me for 2 days. Now that I'm back on track--sort of--I can get back into the artwork plans.

Here's the deal though; while I might get images done every single day, I won't be able to get them uploaded on time. My work schedule and the schedule of the computer that the scanner is attached to don't always want to coincide for one thing. I probably won't be filling up the pages like I did before, either because it won't look quite right when I scan it in or because I might not have enough in my head to do more than one medium sized thing.
