Today one of my favorite digital art websites, Noupe, has released a new showcase of artistic typography.  Again, the collection is excellent - Click here to head to it -  but what this article has really done is introduce me to another awesome typography site, which you will see when you load through some of those images.

That site is TypographyServed.com and it looks awesome!

I just came across a very shiny resource of fonts on a website called Lost Type. The link is here:

The wicked thing about this website is that all of these fonts are available to download, but you can also choose to pay whichever amount you want for them - useful if you'd like to try a font, and decide that it's great and useful to you, so that you might pay the artist for their work.

Today, we officially renewed our Super Group Status for another 12 months! :la:

I hope everyone's doing well.  This'll be a group update blog.

As of today, The Typographer's Society has 1,057 Members! In December of 2009, I never would have thought we would reach such heights together.  All of us together have collected thousands of deviations, with all of them being very, very high quality.

We've also collected a massive amount of resources, in both the galleries and in the blogs, that have helped our awesome members get better at what they love to do.  That pleases me to no end.

Today, we accepted five new members into our group within two hours! I'm excited about that, because it's showing me that we are constantly growing, expanding, and sharing new ideas!

One of our newest members, :devSynergyDigital:, mentioned in his member request to check out a new typeface that he created, so I did - and I was very impressed with it.  I've decided to feature it here for everyone to see!

FontShop.com has just released their April Newsletter with the best free new fonts that are showcased on their website.

I do have to say that some of them are wild - and I think you'll like them!

If you've never heard of FontShop before, it's a wicked little website that allows you to make your own fonts - right in the browser.  It's very versatile and allows you a lot of artistic license.  While it can't be used to make every type of font, the types you can make are very wide ranged.

As you may know, there are two main groups of members in this group - Regular Members and Top Contributors.

The Top Contributors Member Group is for those that regularly submit artwork to the group, whereas the Regular Members Group is for those that occasionally submit artwork to the group.

I would like to clarify this because I believe that many of our members who are regular contributors are not in the Top Contributors group, and I would like to change that!

As a Top Contributor, your daily submit limit is raised from 2 to 4 and you also have the power to vote on submitted favorites!
