Ok I was able to get my license in December but didn't, but oh well, not a big deal! Ok, now it is. Out of the friends I hang out with on a regular basis (the morning people, being the ones I talk to in the morning before school) only 1 (not including myself) doesn't have a license (nor permit). Um, yeah.... I am CONVINCED (though my mom likes to say otherwise) that a reason that I don't have it yet is because one of my classmates died because of a car accident (he was driving). Other (minor!!!!) factor is grades. So knowing this what do ya'll think:
(A) I should have already gotten my license
(B) Should be able to get my license now
(C) Agree with my mom
(D) Other: (Please explain)

"Runs in the family, I'm told," said Harry pleasantly. Draco jerked the curtain back and glared at Harry.

"Potter--" Harry burst out laughing, and Ginny had to clap her hand over her mouth to prevent herself from following suit. Draco flushed, then glared. The outfit his mother had chosen for him was best left undescribed, although "white" and "frilly" and even "shiny" were certainly words that passed through Ginny's mind as she looked at him. Also... was that a peasant collar? Surely it couldn't be... and... were those rhinestones?

"It's a nightmare," said Draco. He looked horribly pained. Harry wheezed with laughter. "You look like an albino penguin."
"I think he looks rather sexy," said Ginny loyally.

"Sure, he might look sexy," said Harry generously. "To another albino penguin. If it was a blind albino penguin and hadn't gotten any in years."

"That was cool! You can do stuff without words just like mum and dad can. Can you do my hair too?" Severus smiled, waved his wand and tapped Mikahla. Her hair was changed to a golden yellow with black streaks. "Aww, can't I have fun colors like Nokomis?" she asked a little disapointed.

"I thought you would like your house colors," Severus said to her. "What colors would you like instead?"

"She loves purple and pink," Nokomis said with a smirk as she tapped her own head and returned her hair back to black. Severus raised his eyebrow, shrugged and then tapped Mikahla again. Her hair turned a vibrant shade of purple with pink streaks in it.

"Is that more to your liking Miss Lennyn?" Severus said to her as she checked herself out in a mirror.

"It's great!" she said cheerfully. "Thank you Mr. Snape. You are too cool." She got up and ran out of the compartment with a huge smile on her face. Severus looked after her, wondering why she had left so suddenly.

"No, thank you." Sirius blinked in surprise and Snape's answering smile held a grim satisfaction.

"Didn't expect that, did you, you bastard?" he thought, and found great pleasure in watching the other man fumble for a moment in reaction to Grace's plain refusal. It was obvious the attractive, volatile Animagus was not used to being turned down. Sirius' voice was laced with puzzlement and a hint of incredulity.

"May I ask why?" Grace's features tightened minutely and her eyes hardened into an expression that Snape had never seen her bestow upon him.

"Because I don't like you, Mr. Black." Snape's smug smile widened into a full grin. Never let it be said that Grace Draven lacked a backbone. He almost felt sorry for the flabbergasted Black. He'd been on the receiving end of that punishing candor a few times himself, and it never failed to cut him off at the knees. Just as it was doing to his enemy now. Sirius' posture stiffened, and there was a faint, belligerent tone to his question.

"You just met me. How do you know you don't like me?" Grace dropped her eyes for a moment, as if deciding what she should or should not say. When she looked back up at Sirius, her glance was diamond-hard with disapproval.

"I asked about you, Mr. Black. It seems you have quite the reputation as a ladies' man."

As some of you might already know, I'm taking drivers ed. @ my school & in order for me to be able to drive on the road in the student driver car, I need my permit (or temp as they call it in some states). 0o0 I've been able to get my permit for the last week but I need to go over to the Dempartment of Public Safety (DPS). *groans* anyway, finally my mom says I'll take you to get your permit after I drop off your brother.
