So I finally decided to go about doing color commissions. That means if you have any lineart that needs any kind of coloring and you can't get the job done, just hit me up and I can't do the job for you. So I was on DeviartArt early and everything was fine, and then after 20 mins from being out of the house, I come back and there's a fresh new look on here. It's gonna take some getting used to, but for most part, I think it's taking a turn in a good direction. They made navigation on here a lil more convenient as far as messaging and browsing. I think I'm gonna like it.

Um yea, so I got tired of traditional inking, and like a dummy I forgot that I could use flash in my developing artworks; so now that I figured that out, I've done away with traditional inking because I don't have a steady hand. In flash I can produce a smooth clean line all in one stroke and if I need to smooth or straighten, it has a tool that can make it possible very easily...which totally ROCKS . So yea, I quit with real pens....for now.



As you know, I'm always up for trades and collabs, so if you wanna do something together (Especially if you got some linework that needs coloring, because I'm enjoying that the most ), just hit me up thru e-mail, notes, comments, whatever, just let me know. It may take me a while to start it because I am currently working on some as we speak, but I promise I will get to you.

I upgraded "The Detective" Demo e-book. I fixed some bugs on it, first I made the buttons easily accessible, and then I changed the background. What's up DA Fam? Well I think my artwork is about to pay off. I don't know if you guys remember a while back how I mentioned that I was illustrating children storybooks for a friend of mine who writes. Well anyway, he has 3 publishers interested in the series. There's one in New York, one in California, and one in Baton Rouge, LA. The One's in NY and Baton Rouge were the first ones to become interested, they just called my friend on a phone conference and basically said that they are going to pick us up, GOOD NEWS!!!! We're almost about to get a final word on that note. However the one in California also noticed us and they're trying to make better offers than the other two publishers to try to get us over in the West Coast. I'm getting nervous because we're so close to coming out on top. At this point all I can do it keep my head up and pray about it until we get some more news. Y'all pray for me, because I think we're about to get our break. Anyway, I won't post any of the artwork until I get more news that will hopefully make me a little more confident about the deals that can possibly go thru. I'm trying to keep a calm mind about it and not count my chickens before they hatch. Well I gotta bounce so I'll keep you guys updated.

So I'm in a very deep sleep this morning until around 7 a.m. when my phone rang. I answered it, and it was my girlfriend. She called me to tell me that school started today...."OH SHIT, TODAY!!!!" is what went through my head when I heard that. I was so sure that it started on Monday (Jan. 14). So yeah, I had 1 hour since the phone call to be to class on time, thank goodness I live about 10 mins from the University. Oh well, talk about starting the semester off on a bad foot; But I am glad that she called or I would have paid big time for missing the first day and not getting my syllabus to see what's going on for the semester. Oh well it's all over now, I made there on time and did what I needed to do. Ok, that's all I have. Talk to y'all later.

CSS (Cascading Something *er* Something....uh yeah....something like that ) I need to learn how the use CSS, can anybody explain the basics for me? Once I get the basics, I can go from there, I'm sure of it, but I just need some insight. Is it similar to HTML or is it completely different? I need to know, cause I want to start making this crummy page look a little more enticing. Well DA, 2007 is almost over, and it's been a great year. I've seen good things, bad things, ugly things, so on and so forth. We're about to move into 2008 and I'd just like to list a few things that I will do to improve my life with the new year, so here goes:

1.) Focus more on school and study hard
2.) Get back in shape and work out
3.) Focus on my artwork
4.) Pay all my bills on time
5.) Be completely faithful to my girlfriend
6.) Relax and not stress my self out
7.) Party like a rockstar

I had to delete both of my Myspace accounts because I got busted doing some dirt...This isn't the 1st time's that's happened. But I tell you thought when you get caught doing bad, the results are catastrophic. When my girlfriend saw those messages, she just didn't want to have anything to do with me, and I don't blame her. And this has happened twice. But after hours of begging and pleading and realizing what I did was wrong she finally took me back, TWICE. I didn't even deserve it the second time but she took me back and I am sooooooooooooooooooo grateful. That's love man. I gotta respect that and do what I'm supposed to do and do good by her from now on. I can't fuck up again, because 3 time's the charm and I'm outta there if I do it again. So basically if you are in a relationship and you really love that person, try to avoid Myspace.com, and if you do have a Myspace account, please be careful about what you say and do on there, cuz once you get caught up, that's your ass. Don't lose somebody you truly love because of Myspace.com, it can really mess up something good. I know now since I have become a statistic. Anyway enough ranting a raving. Y'all have a good day.

Pimp C was laid to rest today, in Port Arthur, TX, roughly about 15-20 mins from where I live here in Beaumont, TX. I went to go attend his funeral, but I was turned around along with thousands of other fans because I was wearing jeans and T-Shirts...WTF??!! Okay, I am a proud supporter of Pimp C., Bun B., and UGK, but I couldn't pay my respects because of my attire? What kind of bullshit is that??? I supported Pimp C, him and Bun was all we had out here in Southeast Texas. They said that is was the family's request, but I think it was the F.B.I. or somebody saying that. I thought that was so dumb. I see now that nobody cares about the fans. All those people took the time out of their daily lives (Including me, cuz I took the whole day off from work) to attend the funeral and were all disapointed because they had to go back home. People traveled from Beaumont, Houston, Louisiana, and other places to pay their respects and they couldn't even do that because they didn't have on a damn tie. I am so pissed off about that. It totally ruined my day. What the hell, were just fans who loved the man, but I guess nobody understands that. Oh well, I still support him and UGK so whatever....BUT I'M STILL MAD!!!

I know that this journal comes way out of left field, especially due to the fact that I haven't updated it since May 23, 2007, and I also know that some of you may not even care about this journal in particular; But I posted this for all those who DO actually care. Today as some of you may already know, half of southern rap duo UGK's, Chad "Pimp C" Butler was found dead today(12/04/07). He has been rapping since the late 80's and early 90's alongside with long time friend, Bernard "Bun B" Freeman. I never personally knew him or anything, although I did see him up close and personal when I was working at Best Buy last year, but I was and still am a huge fan of his. He and Bun B. were among some of the pioneers of Southern Rap music, and I am happy to say that due to UGK coming out of Southeast Texas (The same area where I was born and raised and still currently reside). They were rapping when nobody was really feeling Texas rap. They hit mainstream success and gained national exposure when they made a high profile appearance on Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin" back in 2000. Anyway, I just wanted to make it known to those of you who actually DO care. If you are from Texas or any of the Southern states, then I know for a fact that you definitely know who and what I am talking about. If you wanted to share your condolences to his family, Bun B., or any of the UGK family then you can do so on his Myspace page--->[link]

Pimp C is now looked upon as a fallen Texas soldier, but I know now that he has enlisted into a better army up above and he'll do way better than he's EVER done here on Earth.

Pimp C you were a true Texas Soldier and you will forever be missed. Rest in Peace and may your legend live on.

What's going on everybody, it's been a while since I updated my journal. I hope you all are doing well, drawing, poetry, and everything else in between. Well I'm finally getting back into the groove with drawing seeing that school is over and now I have more time on my hands. The "Urbanity" Comic has been started if you haven't seen my first posting already (#1 'The Beach'...you'll find it in my gallery). I know I have a couple things to work on as far as that goes (sorry about those mistake y'all ) but anyway I'm glad to have finally started on that. Well just figured I'd keep you all informed. 1st Topic:

What's really good, my D.A. friends, did y'all miss me? I been kinda taking it easy lately with the artwork and all, it's like my brain just all of a sudden turned into jello or something like that. Anyway I did get to go to the beach but, it rained which meant I couldn't fly my kite, so I got mad a left. Man that was a cool kite too, It was a 3-D jet fighter kite. I payed $12.00 for that kite...anyway I think I'm going to the zoo this weekend if it doesn't rain in Houston, I want to go see the animals. Well Titus and Avanya is no more...but don't get sad yet, because I've created a new series called S.T.A.G. (Superb Tactical Action Group) in which Titus will be the leader and Avanya, Aries, some newer charcters will be involved. They will also be facing the same villains, so It'll kinda be like the superman cartoon transforming into the Justice league if that makes any sense. So look forward to seeing that.

2nd Topic:

You know it, let's do trade art, take a look at my characters from S.T.A.G. (Formerly Titus and Avanya) hit me up, and we can do a trade, also I'm interested in doing some collaboration art as well, so if anybody is interested just send me a note, e-mail, or comment.

*also in the near future I will be updating my website when I get some time I want it to be extra professional so I'm looking for some intersting things to liven it up.

Well it doesn't look like the "Titus and Avanya" comic will be coming to life anytime soon, so I decided not to continue with the comic until I can get a team, because it is virtually impossible to get it done by myself. However, I will continue to draw them and post them and develop new characters and stats for your viewing pleasure, but as far as an actual story or plot I'll have to postpone it for now...sorry folks

Man, the cold is gone and the heat is on, and if you live in the Dirty South, you know it gets pretty damn hot around this time of the year, especially in Texas. And during this time of the year it feels good to be a Texan, people start putting away the long johns and the leather coats, and they start breaking out the white tee's and bathing suits. I happened to notice that winter is officially gone because people are washing their cars with candy coating that makes the paint look like it's still drippin, others are on the motorcyles, and the beaches are packed. I'm thinking about hittin up Galveston Island (an island right outside of Houston and is one of the most popular beaches in Southeast Texas) and Kima (Sub-division of Houston that is located near a lot of water, where there are resorts and lots of seafood) a couple of times while it's still warm; you know, become a beach boy for the summer, besides it's something about being around water when it's summer-time. Well I just wanted to brag about the Texas Heat a little bit, so I guess I'll pull out the sun block and enjoy summer 2006. that's all on that topic, nothing special.

Y'all know what this topic is about "Trade Art" as usual, I'm willing to do art trades all the time, it's my way to meet and fellowship with other great artist on this site. I have added profiles to my "Titus and Avanya" Characters, so go back and look at them again so you get to know them a little better.

1st Topic: Titus and Avanya

My first issue is still in progess, slowly but surely, I am working on it solely by myself, so when I'm not at work (which is where I spend most of my life) I try to work on it. But I think it'll be work the wait when I'm done.

2nd Topic: Urbanity Comic Strip Series

Yay!!! I have someone to write funny and saracastic storylines for my series, that's right, I have a new partner, and that person is . He was nice enough to lend his genius at story writing, so everything is in process for that. Also, I'll start posting those characters here on DA pretty soon as well. For now you can see them at my website (which needs updating terribly). Anyway I'll keep you informed on the comic strip itself.

3rd Topic: Trade Art

Last but not least, everybody knows that I love to do trade art, so if you want to do that with me, just hit me up with a note or comment or some sort of communication.
