Last month I found a gallery full of anime vector traces with thousands of hits and thousands of favorites. I couldn't believe one of my favorite, lesser known Japanese artists was being ripped off. I went to report the deviation and to my dismay had been told that the issue had already been disputed and was no longer up for debate. So I look at this person's gallery and find almost nothing but vector traces, mostly of anime screenshots. Nothing new added to them, no modification or interpretation. Just traces. I was appalled that this was allowed but initially decided not to rant about it.

Hey everyone, I live! Yes, it's true!

Well, a lot has happened.. I'm free from the scholastic ball and chain. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design on May 23. I'm working my internship through the summer while I look for more permanent work. I've submitted applications to a few places that I really would love to work... I just have a few things to say about my perspective on art and being an artist. You may not agree (in fact I'm sure many of the popular, more skilled artists may disagree) but it's my opinion.

New Numerical Order
Happy New Year everyone! Hmm.. some art related new year's resolutions?

#1: Spend more time on my work. If I stopped being so impatient I'd probably have nicer work, color/detail technique wise.

Others:
-Make progress on projects for the year, hoping that after I graduate I'll have time and motivation to do so.
-Experiment with my style and techniques more... find something that I can call mine, be happy with and something that really moves people. (More like life-long goals hah.)

Just a note to let you know I'm alive, I made it through my second to last semester. It's been the hardest so far, but one more to go (which may or may not be harder, we will see.)

Fanime was fantastic, spent too much money, made some of it back in the artist alley. This year was a good year for the AA. There was good traffic all weekend, and the quality of the work there was better than ever before! It was intimidating and inspiring at the same time. I met a lot of great folks and hung out with great folks of old... I think catching up with others is one of the best things about going to con.

Life is still busy, too much work and too little time. And too much laziness, too! -The move sucked. Lots of BS we had to deal with upon move in. But, forging on now.

First- I want to thank everyone whose added my works to their faves and added me to their watchlists in the last couple months. I am really sorry I havent been able to comment to you individually. Life has been very draining.
