My appendix burst when I was 19. I walked around with it for 10 days because 3 different docs couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Got me 3 battle scars from that one.

My sister came home tonight! Her docs said it wouldn't be till friday or saturday. Next thing we know the nurse is coming in with discharge papers! 1 hospital teddy bear, 9 balloons, 2 early Christmas gifts, and 1 scar later my sister must have decided she was tired of being spoiled (and poked and prodded) and was ready to come home.

Also, when I got home I had 2 packages on my porch with my prints and box cap!

[EDIT] Docs changed their minds (yet again ) and they went ahead and did the surgery today. Everything went perfectly, and she has yet another scar on her stomach. But I figure scars = glory right? Anyways, hopefully them means only another week then back home! Yay!

It's been a week and I am so tired of being at that hospital I want to kill myself. At least I get to go home and go to work every once in a while, and I am able to pick up the building next door's wifi. The word is though that there is no word. My sis definitely has an aspiration pneumonia in both her lungs. Shes on all sorts of antibiotics, and has been coughing up things in every color of the rainbow Also, she might go into surgery on Monday, but who knows. I know the docs are postponing and waiting to see how she is going to react to the meds, etc, but all this waiting is horrible. I just want them to do it or not, and get it over with.

I feel so bad too because the little girl, about 5 or maybe 6, in the room next door has been in the hospital for the past 3 months. I haven't asked what's wrong exactly, but I can guess due to the copious amounts of meds the poor thing is on and the shaved head. I know she has a long time to spend up there too. Her mom says it's gonna be her second Christmas in a row at this hospital. Apparently though, last year her dad dressed up as Santa for her because she was afraid he wouldn't be able to find her since she wasn't at home.

Also, I spent all day today putting up Christmas lights and decorations, even though it's just me here (my parents haven't been to the house all week), but dammit it's hot here and I need it to at least look like it's Christmas time! The tree looks great, I got garlands and all sorts of stuff out. Outside though I spent 3 hours putting up lights, without realizing that when you strand together more than 3 sets you burn the fuses out. So yeah, I had like 7 in a row. The fuses immediately burnt out, and I can't find anymore. So now I need to go buy some. All that work and I didn't even get to see it all lit up and pretty!

I need a new avatar Anyone up for the challenge? I'm sure I can find a way to reward you! I got some early Christmas money and since I have already finished my holiday shopping I bought myself 2 prints and the dA box cap! I can't wait to get them! Ok, so I got a couple of great new pairs of shoes in the last week, and I totally want to shoot them. I have a couple of ideas but I wanted to search dA to get inspiration and to make sure the ideas I have hadn't already been done to death (like the take a picture of your converse while you are wearing them shot).

So I type "heels" into the search bar and I swear a huge majority of the pieces are artistic nude and fetish! I understand it, it just kinda came as a surprise is all when all of a sudden there was nudity all over my screen.
