I recently got a second job (in addition to working at the beach) at my mom's office. So now I'm a salesperson AND a filing clerk. They make it sound all official, but really its a no-brain job. Just organizing folders and papers in order etcetc. Boring, but I need the money and they need the help.

So now I draw, go pier jumping, read, drink Starbucks and generally be lazy. Thats just how I enjoy my summers. xD Theres tons of different festivals going on in White Rock and Vancouver so I've seen loads of cool art, fireworks, music and bought tons of little things I really don't need.

I'm almost done my dresses so they will be up soon. Hoping that someone will finish and mail my letter soon... -___- You know who you are!!! (jk ^^)

Its one of those days, when you feel normal but when you sit down, as soon as you set your pencil down on paper... BAM. All these ideas just flow out of nowhere, and you just HAVE to jot them down, to not forget. My brain went into overdrive and I sat there, sketching furiously like some human printer until 2 am. Unfortunately, my moments have very, very bad timing. Mostly they happen very, very late. But knowing that I could not ignore this opportunity, even though I was dog tired, I sat there, drawing and sketching all these designs for hours on end. Until I lifted my pencil off the paper and fell asleep on my desk. But even then, I dreamt of all these colorful clothes and a fashion defilé; it was like a re-run of Fashion File in my dreams. In the morning of course, when I woke up and found myself in a huge, messy pile of paper which I started looking through and was like 'When the heck did this happen?!"

What was especially great about this 'bout of creativity' was that it was a 'roductive bout of creativity'. You see, usually, I quickly sketch my ideas down in small, messy format, thinking "I'll re-draw them later, bigger and better". But I always procrastinate and never get to it. This time, even though I drew them on very crappy recycle paper (it has writing on the back but still a clean white side) the sketches turned out quite good for first attempts. I simply corrected some drafts and inked them straight on that paper. Usually it takes me about 5 papers, tracing and re-tracing the same drawing to perfect it. Blaaah, you can see why I put them off...

With this 'bout of crativity' also came a change of style. My drawings now resemble a designer's preliminary sketches, and have this edgy look. My faces and bodies are also a bit more realistic looking, and less manga. My models also came out very differently and have a sort of personality that completes each dress and look. I'm very proud of myself. For the moment.

People say you have to practice every day to perfect your drawing and technique, and it is true (and practical), but for some reason hasn't worked very well for me. My drawing tends to get worse if I attempt to force myself every day. You know, sometimes you have great days, when you sit down and draw something perfect, and other days when you crumple up paper after paper, stab the desk with your pencil and fall off your swivel chair in frustration. Well, not that extreme, but still.

I seem to have a regular cycle of these days. I have a 'bout of creativity', make loads of art, then keep trying to draw for a week or so every day. Then I get lazy and sit down once in a while, but generally do not draw for a WHILE. A few weeks, sometimes a month or two (but rarely that long). Then randomly I sit down and have another super creative day. And so on. But these creative days come between long periods of time, and I have a theory on why. Its as if my brain releases all its creativity in one shot and then it needs time to absorb more fashion influences, colors, ideas and inspirational art to build it up, and re-create it into something original. In my case, I come up with drawings. Different ones, but in 3 cases of these creative days, they were dresses. Maybe its just my thing.

So now that my creative spur is over, I need to colour all those drawings. Which just might take up all of my time until the next one. If I get around to it. xD

I've drawn lots too recently, just haven't gotten around to uploading. I will soon though, because I'm hoping to enter 's contest. Its hard to get the EXACT colors for her character Ceci. So I'm balancing hanging out with people, working (at this cute little store at the beach) and drawing (I have a tendency to procrastinate and abandon my drawing over breaks). Theres also a huge list of personal goals I typed up that I have been avoiding. That evil piece of paper >:C But I will work on them too

Theres a trip in grade 10 to Spain that I signed up for, and I'm saving all my money for it. And taking Spanish next year. One of my good friends is moving to Abbotsford so she's moving schools. I'm pretty sad but she promises to come visit (its not really THAT far). I'm so jealous though, because she has the option to learn japanese at her school!!! .__. sniff.

Anyways, I'm thinking planning on writing a shoujo manga of some sorts and will (hopefully) post up some character sheets later. I like my new school, friends, neightborhood, its very nice here in Vancouver. Green,Rainy and Misty. But warm. My kind of weather
My drawing's quality will be crap because I haven't bought a new scanner yet, so I'll have to photograph them.

The weather is making me depressed (its been raining on and off for the last 4 days) but I don't mind. I'm indoors most of the time anyways. My school is so huge I still get lost in it, so its never boring. I sat through an entire period of Biology in the wrong class, at the wrong time, and only at the end realised - I don't even TAKE biology. Weird.

I saw Twilight and was very VERY dissapointed. I'll rant out my review in my next journal. I thought it sucked. The books were way better. Quantum of Solace (New James Bond) sucked too, and its not just because I was mad and tired when my friends dragged me out to see it, it really DID suck. I hope more good movies will be realeased, they are getting crappier and crappier every year.

I've just finished reading Breaking Dawn and it is THE BEST book of the saga. *SPOILER* But I think it needs much more action at the end since they've been building up the susspense for 5 chapters, and then... ... nothing happens. And I think it needs a sadder ending. If I were Stephenie Meyer, I'd kill at least 1 or 2 important characters. It needs more..devastation and unfairness in it. However, it was still an amazing novel.

We had the best team and the best councellors. We hiked for 3 days and canoed for 2 and the rest of the time was spent in main camp. Hiking was hard, especially being a first timer, but we made it to every site and visited 4 or 5 lakes. We hiked a swamp that was up to my neck deep, and then washed up in a river/creek close by. The only thing that bothered me was the huge amount of horseflies and mosquitoes. And the lack of proper showers, but we made up for that by swimming in lakes almost every day.

Canoeing was easier, since we didn't have to carry our bags full of clothes, food, supplies, tents etc. and we could enjoy the views. We canoed the torch river, which was easy, since most of our group has never canoed before and this was good practise for steering; the river had many turns. It was pretty small, some parts deep but mostly shallow. We collected clams, and had to carry our canoes over the rocks if we got stuck.

One day, we woke up to a really hot morning, hot as in scalding. Everyone was happy, dressed lightly and prepared for a great day of swimming, canoeing etc. A couple of hours down the river it started to get colder and the clouds creeped in. Then we got caught in an enormous thunderstorm! Being in aluminimum canoes and being surrounded by water and lightning isn't really the safest idea so we pulled up on shore and waited for it to pass. It was horrible but extremely fun! Everyone was freezing cold and drenched, but the rain refused to pass, so we decided to just keep going down the river and took our chances with the storm. We canoed for another couple hours until we reached the bridge where we were supposed to get picked up by the camp bus.

These events happened so coincidentaly, it was almost unreal, like some movie.

On with the story, we pull out our canoes, its still raining, everyone is happy to be done and is waiting for the bus. Our camp director comes up (he drove the bus to the bridge) and tells us "The bus broke down". Seriously, all of this, and then the bus broke down. Everyone got all depresed again and kept saying that were going to die of hypothermia (but I got away with a cough and some snot). So, were sitting around sulking and some guy with a van/bus thing that is totally empty drives up and offers us a ride back to camp. No joke. So we get in, thank him a million times and find out that its a tour bus! The same bus that a week ago drove the Nitty Gtritty Dirt Band (wtf are they?) Anyways, the seats were comfy, it was warm, he turned up the music and we sang so loud the camp could hear us! And we BY FAR had the greatest entrance back to camp!

The camp was in North Saskatchewan and we were surrounded by forest. Every night we camped at a self made site near a lake and kept firewatch. We made our own food and pitched our tents.

Ok, that introduction was supposed to be up top of the journal, but I got lazy.

Other things that I'm too lazy to put into paragraphs:
* we ate ginormous hot dogs (baguette buns stuffed with 4 fire cooked hot dogs, and there were 3 baguettes!!

*we had a pie eating contest (no hands) and then walked into camp with pie all over our face

*our group was called the Senior's Discount and we dresed up as old people and got fake Seniors discount cards that we used for fun

*we. just. kicked. ass.

They're supposed to live 5-8 years, althoughlike with humans, there are exceptions. We took her to the vet, and she gave us meds, but she doesn't exactly know what it is that Ginny is sick with. We're giving her the medication, but forcefully because she is rejecting all food, water etc. She's very tired and I decided to just leave her alone to not cause her more suffering. But I'm so very sad for her.

I went to the Avril concert last Sunday. It Kicked @$$!!! Well, actually I've never been to a real concert before, so this was awesome. But I can't beleive the stuff they sell there. SERIOUSLY. Underwear with avril's face on it for 25$. TWENTY FIVE. >_< I got a poster ^__^ ...and that's about all you can get with 20$. Two posters. No wonder celebrities are so rich.

Ain't it just so annoying when they don't have age restrictions in concerts? Really, what could a 7 year-old or even a 10 year-old do at the Avril concert? And then they come with their parents and grandparents and there's all these little kids with their snotty noses runnung around in the crowd. It wrecks the whole idea of the Avril concert.

Other than that, it was really fun! ^__^ I hope mcr come again, I missed their last concert

Since I watched Naruto Shippuden and Bleach all the way already (but they're not finished releasing episodes T_T) I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist now, a-w-e-s-o-m-e. I'm addicted to anime. But it's better to watch them in Japanese with english subtitles, because DUBS SUCK!!!!! Who in the world is the voice actor of Naruto and Ed? Seriously. That is NOT how most english-speaking people talk. It's an annoying voice that drives me into a dark corner and makes me go emo to get away from it!! It so annoying. So I just listen to the Japanese versio, much better

I haven't scanned anything new either, but will soon enough. I've been a lazy @$$ lately and haven't finished any pics worth uploading onto dA yet. >_< I've got some good sketches and a few colored, but I'll wait until the whole lot is done.

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!

I just won the Concours D'art Oratoire contest and will be representing our school at the inter-school competition!!! And so will this other guy Baxter, but this is my journal, so he isn't in it! ..no offense Baxter Yes, you probably figured it out, i DO go to a french (immersion) school. But who cares? I WON!! W00T.

...actually this is like my third or fourth time winning...so I'm not THAT surprised. ..But I wouldn't want to bragggggg! Just kidding (about the brag part).

We basically just had to write a 3-5 minute long speech about...anything really. And I wrote about *drumroll* cellphones and text messaging and how it affects today's world. Lame? not really. If you think so, go think somewhere else.

The weather is FINALLY getting nicer. But this is March, in who-knows-where and you never know when a snowstorm is gonna eat you. EVER. But I'm hoping that it won't. The weather got me in a good mood and I've been wondering lately if I should get a dA subscription. Are tey really worth it? Probably. It's not that expensive either.... but I'm really an indecisive person, and picky too. ^__^

I haven't been on for a whole WEEK. OMG >_< I know, some people get grounded for a lot longer, but my computer is like....drugs! You need to be on dA for at least 5 minutes each day! And during that time I drew LOADS. And now I have to upload it all onto here! I"ll maybe take 2 days...but I'll try to finish it all today so you all who actually read this can go look. Is anyone actually here? lol . XD

Meh, wanna know why I was grounded? (Well I'm not complaining much, since it was only a week and I got a lot more drawing done than usual. But still! It's not that you can't go on the computer, its the fact that you're grounded that makes me wanna rant about for ages! lol But I wont. ) Ok, So I washed a pot that we make corn in and ...*drumrolll* ...There was still a piece of corn at the bottom!!! hahaha! So I just got grounded. meeheheh I should pay more attention to washing pots next time. lol >_<

We just had the shittiest Valentine's dance at our school, EVER. The grade 8s are so annoying. They decide EVERYTHING and get EVERYTHING, and in the end all we get is "next year which never comes". I'm so glad they're leaving so soon! ^____^ Then we can get their role for next year! haha. Poor grade 6s --they ain't gettin' it sweet when we gonna be 8s and them 7s!

At the dance, the music sucked, and guess what? We only have 5 guys in our class! FIVE. Five guys and eleven girls. But one doesn't count since he is literally mental and went tobogganing with the grade 1s and the other is hyperactive and decided to go eat sugar in the corner and be emo and never come out. That leaves the other three. One is danceable with. One. Danceable but I wouldn't recommend it. I won't say who in case theyre reading this. ha-ha. You know who you are!

I love glowsticks.

OMG! Guess what you guys? We just had the coolest thing in the sky over our house! ...Well not just our house but everyone's house...hmmm wtvr. An eclipse!!! A lunar eclipse! ...I know it's not one of those dramatic movies where the sun gets blocked...It was night outside actually. Well, just thought you guys outta know. I know who my favorite Bleach character is now! ..Yea I dropped out of Naruto since its getting a bit too boring, the suspense is tiring. Instead-I found Bleach!! I like it more than Naruto since the characters are really cool,the whole "Death Lord" idea/plot thing is a good idea,its funny and unlike Naruto it doesn't stretch one battle into 5 episodes!!!!! It doesn't bore or tire you, unlike me eh? I talk too much. Oh well. There's plenty more reason to go watch Bleach right now but I still have to tell you my favorite character's name! Hitsugaya Toushiro--the guy with the ice dragon Bankai!!! *____* He's awesome!!

Aside from freezing my ass off and building a giant, orange snow crocodile I had ...fun. *sceptical*

We have 4 groups at our school, ours got in third place. Woohoo! Anyways, we were served pea soup *bleh* (I brought a lunch thankfully) and we had half a cup of hot chocolate. OUR group got one cup, the others drank two and left none for us. We are the jolly elves, lets all sit in a dark corner...

Here are the activities we had:

1)Well we made sculptures out of snow that we piled up. Our team made a crocodile which looked like a lump of cheese wth tumors.

2)four way tug-o-war. yippee.

3)capture the flag. Wussy version. we had a limited space for like 100 people and in TWO minutes we had to steal the other three teams flags that were sticking out of their pants. yay. we gagned up on the little kids and stole theirs. ^_^

4)snowshoe race. basically it was a very crude attempt at a mass suicide.
-the snow shoes didnt fit with the straps. We fell, tripped and got horrible wedgies.

5) pull-the-fat-kid-on-the-tarp. that i believe is self-explanatory.

THAT is a winter fest envisionned by our school. X_X

We also had hot coco afterwards, in cups the size made for ants.

Anyways... I updated some pictures but I'm not in much of a drawing mood yet. I started some winter clothing sketches but didn't finish any good enough to post up here yet. Also I'm working on my anime guy drawing skills, my guys look too girly. *memo to me: that needs improvement*.

The last non boring detail was that I met my friend who moved a while ago to B.C! ^_^ I'm happy! Were starting to pass notes again!

Anyways, January is gonna be a good month cuz were going skiing with the school, skating, toboganing and have a Winter Festival (we hadn't had that for like 5 years *_*) and we have like ...no homework whatsoever! And I get to organize the school's second yearbook with a few other people, so school is turning out to be a bit more than a boring dump of poop. lol.

Well, I'm uploading some pictures but it takes me a while since my scanner scans it really wierd and I have to take like 20 minutes to edit it afterwards, but more uploads to come- I promise!!!

AAND I also JUST got Corel draw 12 or watever its called and I've never really worked with Computer Graphics and editing and theres so much different features so I'm all confused ?_? But I'm trying out different stuff with it, so I'm getting better...sloowly. Veeery slowwly.
