In2ition Episode 11 is up! [link]

This almost it folks. The season finale, Episode 12, comes out on Wednesday. It's been a blast working on this project and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the incredible reception I've gotten here on dA . I'm not sure if they'll bring In2tion back for a season 2. I've certainly built enough back story to keep it going. At the moment, Take180dotcom (the company I've been creating this series for) is putting all its current series on hiatus and developing a whole new slate of very cool participatory shows, which will have awesome prizes for all you to win... but which I will not be a part of .

I'm moving on ! I gave notice last week and Friday is my last day . I know it seems silly to give up a job in this economy, but this how a Vayabobo rolls. It's in my personal quote, "The way of the fool is a subjunctive journey." If there's a road less traveled, I have to take it. If there's a river to cross, I have to jump in it. I have too many wonderful projects to pursue like CRUTCH [link] Plus, there are clouds to count and sand to wriggle between one's toes. So many things.

Of course, if Take180 decides to do another season of In2ition, I'm all over it, but until then... expect new and wonderful things to come. I do .

$Chix0r rocks In2ition!

The super talented being that is $Chix0r created this [link] for In2ition! The folks at work were like, "Uh, you need to go home and rest." So they sent me home. Feeling better now! A little sore from the fall. Surprisingly little blood. Only minor scratches. SPACE (pronounced spah-chay) is here!

I've been a huge Space Classic Lego fan since my early days of dorkdom. My brother and I would spend hours constructing amazing ships and bases and vehicles. And then my father would come along a week later and take them all apart so that we'd be "inspired" to go at it again. Tough Lego love.

I've always wanted to play with stop motion and Space Legos seemed like the perfect arena in which to manifest a world and characters. A Space Classic purest (even as a kid I wouldn't build with red blocks), I went and Ebayed all the original sets from 1978. It was a total trip to rebuild sets that I had built, sitting on the wood floor of our NYC apartment, 30 years ago. I guess you can call me an O.L.G. (Original Lego Gangster).

And now, enough blah blah, on with the show: [link]

Fact is, I have been making stuff, but I can't show it yet. I'm not allowed...! I shot the first 3 episodes of a web series I created called IN2ITION, but I can't post them up here until the company I shot them for launches their new site. Totally sucks. Hard enough for a filmmaker to summon the money, resources and people together to make anything at all, but then to tell the filmmaker you can't show people whatcha been making... C'mon!

dA is as vibrant and inspiring a community as ever. Love getting lost down through the spirals of creativity that issue forth from every corner here. Gives me the itch to wanna share and be involved and collaborate with everyone.

Good news is that I'll be shooting some stop action legos which I can post as soon as I'm done!

Hope everyone is well and I promise to be posting soon!!

So I'm really happy that people seem to enjoy CRUTCH 2001 and 2007. It's been a really wonderful experience learning more about the dA community and interacting with some of the members. After having posted many vid on the likes of YouTube, the difference in the dA experience is astounding and I can sum it up in one word: Quality. Quality vids are being submitted, the quality of the video player is amazing (I love the theater mode dimming. I'm such a geek!), but, most of all, quality community members. Compared to the nirvana to be found at dA, YouTube is like a Mad Max post-apocalyptic waste land.

I really enjoy being surrounded by so many incredibly talented people. A friend of mine named Frans Johanson wrote a book called "The Medici Effect." The Medici's were a powerful Italian banking family during the 13 to 17th century that basically bank rolled the Renaissance (they commissioned art from little know artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci). In his book, Frans describes The Medici Effect as occurring with there is a vast intersection of ideas from different fields and cultures, which ignite an explosion of creativity and new discoveries. That's exactly what happened during the Renaissance and it seems to me it's happening here. Perhaps, Frans will write a volume 2, The Deviant Effect ; )

I guess that's a long winded way of saying I'm digging it here and I very much appreciate the warm reception I received. So thank you for having me!

On another note, so as not to be thought of as a one trick pony, I'll be uploading a few new vids. Comedy this time. I figure there's always room for laughter. The first clip I'll post is "C-Diddy Rocks the Canon." It's a spoof I shot with David Jung the WORLD'S GREATEST AIR GUITAR CHAMPION (I figure his skills or "airness" deserve the all caps). The video is a parody of YouTube's most watch video "Guitar" by Funtwo. I think we did good.

And the next vid I'll upload, again stars David Jung, but in a wildly different role. I don't want to give too much plot away, suffice to say it is entitled "Edward Blenderhands." This was a commercial project I shot for Hamilton Beach (a kitchen appliance company). They approached me to do a funny vid integrating their newest blender and integrate we did.
Hope you enjoy! Chandler
