Its extremely important to me as an artist to continuously look at the direction in which my art is heading. I think I fail to recognize the changes in myself immediately and portray them through my work - like I'm out of sync with what I truly want to represent and say through my art in an immediate moment (just lately that is). This hiatus serves as both reflection and determination for greater things ahead. Since my last piece "Dead In Your Trespasses" I have really dug deep within myself to reconstruct something new, carve a new path & quite possibly bring something new to the table entirely. I completed and posted this piece a few months ago, since then I have created well over 30 sketches for whatever lies ahead. When I attempt to start painting them they never 'click' with me, I feel like I'm retreading the same paths as before. But, there is something there lurking back behind the shadows - and it is the new path and I can see it. So this hiatus is creating a new road for myself and my art, its just taking some time. For all of you who enjoy and watch my work closely I want to say thanks to you specifically - your kind words and taking the time to write comments really inspires me further.

My art is an exact representation of my mind, heart and soul as I live this life. We are all growing & changing and delicate things need time to catch up. So, a quick journal to say "I'm still here!" Because, I'm never - ever going to stop creating art....Its permanent to who I am.

Thanks to you all - I appreciate it with all my heart.

A new updated version of my website is now up & running [Version 4]. I've made a lot of changes to the overall site, making it a bit more user friendly with the navigation and print orders. The gallery structure has also changed for the better, everything is cleaner and more enjoyable to browse through.

I hope you all enjoy the new look & feel - there is a TON of new work on the way.

"It took me a long time to decide on posting this piece. It's like throwing a massive piece of my heart into the open, without knowing how it will be received.

I did this piece several months ago with the intent of it being a visual manifestation of my heart. I never sketched, planned it, or used reference photos, as I wanted it to come forth with as much honesty and purity as possible.

It was a Valentine's Day gift for *veinsofmercury, and it is simply a representation of my love for him. I wanted to present him with an image of the way I feel when I think of him, of the way I feel when we are together.
