I mean that I feel the decision of whether or not to abort a fetus belongs primarily to the woman who is carrying it because no woman would ever get pregnant against her will. in a human world, no child would ever be born who was not wanted or who could not be adequately supported. therefore, I feel that abortion must remain an option

tomorrow is the beginning of 2006 and i read in journals some writing that 2005 passed quickly whereas others wrote the opposite. but how to explain this?
of course they were talking about Time without specifying it. indeed, they mean psychological time and not physical time which is public time or the time that clocks are designed to measure. psychological time passes slowly for someone who is waiting anxiously for the water to boil on the stove, and it passes swiftly for someone enjoying a moment. meanwhile, the clock is measuring physical time and is not affected by consciousness. Physical time is more basic for helping us understand our shared experiences in the world. but during our sleep, psychological time stops. our sense of time is subjective and a mind-dependent phenomenon, whereas physical time is a form of conscious experience. ooohh, i was about to forget biological time which is that many living organisms incorporate biological clocks that govern the rhythms of their behavior.

nothingness and emptiness are two words i am accustomed to read on DA journals and i would like to give my point of view on this. also, most of those who dare mention this are those who do the most beautiful works and here is the reason.
human reality is by nature an unhappy consciousness with no possibility of surpassing its unhappy state. to say in a simple way to overcome the abstract opposition of being and nothing, man is an animal endowed with reason:the virtue of the nothingness of consciousness which in the form of "a lack of identity" provides the condition for the possibility of self-deception, bad faith. without the lack of identity it would not be possible to attain self-awareness and the world would consist only of the being-in-itself
* Man discloses negation in the world and takes negative attitudes with respect to himself.
* consciousness itself is never fully identical to itself as it always has to do something else with its own facticity. its being always goes beyond something, which is nothingness
* what makes the being of consciousness special is that it is conscious of the nothigness of its being

most creation is made out of empty space

yesterday when i was on-line with a friend, i had the opportunity to talk with a self-proclaimed atheist, which rarely comes to me . i found it to be an interesting conversation. he mentioned several things which he found to be adequate evidence to reject the idea that God exists. I decided to exchange some ideas with him.

i pointed out that it takes more faith to be an atheist that it takes to be theist. his answer was that atheism requires no faith, for it is based on scientific data.
after a long discussion, he concluded that man is theist by nature that's why the major part hold religious beliefs. but for my part, i came out with two contradictory conclusions:
1- it is practical and sensible to belive there is an eternal being superior to ourselves.
2- the larger part of society is completely irrational.

for me an atheist is the one who discovered his disbelief as the theist who discovered his belief. neither the theist nor the atheist will have the evidence to prove that God exists or doesn't, because it is a transcendantal question.

the mind is limited to what it can be seen, heard, touched, smelled, and tasted......... without forgetting that there is one great faculty which is the ability to imagine and to create.

we always see people as strange when WE ARE STRANGER

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another.

Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are.

After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with.

We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage.

We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire.

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now.

If not now, when?

Your life will always be filled with challenges.

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Alfred D Souza. He said,

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life.

But there was always some obstacle in the way, Something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid.

Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my "life".

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness.

Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time...and remember that time waits for no one.
