School is quite demanding, but we had the day off today so I decided to do that instead of homework. Yeahhhh.

School enslaves my life. It's kind of annoying, because I realized I have SO many more pictures to post. Senior pictures from May, cross country pictures from farther before, track pictures, nature pictures, vacation pictures, the list goes on. Unfortunately I never have the time to do anything about it, though I'm thinking I need to take a couple minutes each day and post at least one picture. Some of those pictures are lost on my external hard drive or backed up somewhere, so I need to look for them.
Anyway, this is the cliche post, I know, that I STILL haven't uploaded anything.
Sorry.

if you guys ever get tired of these posts of me saying I am a horrible person because I don't update my dA. Well, this is another one, but I'm also wondering if anyone actually reads my journals.

Anyway, the thought just struck me a few minutes ago about how long it's been since I've loved photography. I mean yes, of course I love it, but I haven't really gone on any photo expeditions. Though the last two I did go on--one at the beginning of summer and the other at the end, just a couple weeks ago--are sitting here on my computer, and they have not been looked at in quite some time.

As I do apologize for being such a terrible person and neglecting my dA, I have to admit that dA is not my top priority. Right now my top priority is school (understandable, right?) and the struggle to be on time with history assignments (just kidding...sorta).

However, my dad and I are taking a photo trip on Columbus Day (because we have school off) to some wetlands and a bottanical garden, so that should be fun. I am trying to get back to my normal loving music and photography self. Hmmm.

So, a summary, if you didn't read this: I am not promising that I will upload pictures soon, but sometime, eventually, in the next year I will upload at least some. Sorry guys

How do you take a good picture?
But sadly enough, after I take those and post them, I probably won't be posting a lot, at least until school is over. I am sorry about that, but I am pretty budy.
Today Blagojevich was arrested. And so now Illinois is allllll in the national news and stuff. And I have to say, it's about time he got caught. I think we need a governor that is not going to get sent to jail...we've had bad luck with this one and the last one though...
I mean, I think Illinois is a good state, but our politics are corrupted. Apparently we're one of the most corrupt states? That's good to know.
It's kind of unfortunate, after Illinois being shed in a good light with the election and all, to have this happen.
Yes, it has been snowing ALL DAY here. We already have like 4 inches, and are supposed to get like 3 more or something like that. I don't really like it.
But on the other hand, I do. Because it will make for pretty pictures.
It will not be pretty when I am shoveling it, though.

Anyway...sorry I haven't updated lately. I did take some pictures on Friday, so I might put some up tomorrow if I have time. The very least this week sometime.

Friday has really been the first time in a while that I have taken pictures. I have been busy with school and music and stuff. I had a band concert on Tuesday that went well. (It was for a college band too, not my dumb high school.) Walking in three inch high heels, however, did not go all that well. I almost fell down stairs. Actually, I'm being a bit melodramatic. I only stumbled once. I am playing 2nd oboe in it, the music is crazy. But now I am on break from that till January.

I have an orchestra concert coming up soon, in three weeks. It also turns out I have a dentist appointment that morning, if you wanted to know. (Again, this is an out of school thing, because our school does not fund the arts enough to have an orchestra. It's a shame really, because I really enjoy the orchestra experience.) We are playing Mozart's Symphony No. 40 and Rossini's The Barber of Seville. They're fun pieces. But after that concert, I will be on break from that until January, too.

But ahh, tomorrow is December! It seems crazy how fast this year has passed. Soon I will be on Christmas Break to spend time with the family, and then go back to school for finals:ick. That does mean that the year will soon be half over, though. It is so crazy, because it seems like I just started this year.

On another note, school is going fairly well. I'm a little worried about my geometry grade, though it is only a B. (I'm kind of a perfectionist; geometry is my only B, so it needs to go up.) My goal is to get a 4.0 for the quarter and/or semester, which will involve a lot of studying for the final on my part. Everything else is going well, probably my only slightly problematic class would be Spanish, due to the fact that I suck at getting oral points. And maybe chemistry, too, because I'm not that far away from having a B+.

Other than that, I doubt there is anything more you really want to know. I will be having some new pictures up soon, though.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I ate around 1 o'clock and didn't eat for the rest of the day. I wanted some green bean casserole the day after, but it had already been all eaten up. D:

Sorry for this enormously long journal entry.

So these past few days I've been taking some cool pictures. Of bunnies. Of birds. And this morning, of a chipmunk. I finally got a picture of a red winged blackbird, and I'm going to post some of these pictures that I've taken as soon as finals are over. They're stressing me out, and I should really be working on homework right now.
So yeah.
In case you wanted to know.

Yep, it's my birthday today. It was quite wonderful. It was the first time in like two years that my birthday's been on a weekday so I went to school on my birthday.
But today when I got home, I was standing there looking at these birds which were like, fighting. I thought it was kinda funny. Then I finally smarted up and went and got the camera, but then they stopped fighting. :[
But I swear, it's the coolest thing to be looking through the camera and have the telephoto lens zoomed all the way up on a bird and watch it singing.
It was pretty soothing.
I also saw a red winged blackbird, but I didn't get a picture of it, because I was cleaning up dinner. >=[
But anyways, that was a little bit of my day.
The whole point in me telling that was to say that they'll be up soon-ish, once I get them on my computer. My card reader broke.

And I'm bot sure how much time I'll have this week to really look at some pictures and decide which to put up, but I'll try. School is getting out in two more weeks, so we're preparing for finals sometime I guess. But I'll get there.
Sometime.
Lol.
Just though I would say this if anyone wanted to know, or cared.

in photo class I had our final. Because the seniors' last day was today, and there were seniors in my class. [logical, i know.] and so we had this picture of a building over a river, and this other picture of a sunset, and we had to make the sunset the sky for the picture, make a reflection of the sunset on the river [which doesn't seem very logical because the building was in the way, but whatever.] and we had to make all the windows have lights on. so what i did was i pasted the sunset into the sky, then i did the same thing for the river, but i rotated it, and then for the lights i used a gradient. and i lowered the opacity on the reflection and gradient. and my teacher said that i was the only one in the whole class who did it right and he showed mine as what the image should have looked like.
i felt really accomplished.

So I rolled my ankle yesterday in gym, yeah? I sat out for the last ten minutes, t hurt so gosh darn bad. (I've never broken a bone, so yeah....) So I went to my math class, limping, took my test, walked to my locker, out to the bus, from the bus to my house, limping, except this time around it was much more painful. After I got home I called my mom and asked her if I should put ice on it and she said yeah.
She got home, took one look at it, and told me we needed to get that checked out. So we went there, I staggered in, and they were like do you want a wheelchair. I was like, "Sure." So I'm kinda rambiling, but the point is is that they took x-rays and I have a ankle sprain on my hands...er, feet?
So I get out of gym for ten days, on crutches for a week at least, and I don't know how long I have to keep the splint on.
It sucks.
Mucho.
Because my armpits are sore already.
But at least I get out of class 5 minutes early.
Anywho, I guess this is just a rant journal.
I think I'm gonna put some pics up sooner or later.
See ya.
