I created 4 cards for this year's Blue Line Art Sketch cards for Cancer benefit. The auction runs from March 28 - April 4th. There are a lot of talented artists who contributed cards for this auction. Too bad that the people running the auction CAN'T SPELL. They have spelled my last name INGUS instead of Inglis. I have emailed them but I doubt they'll change it. So.. if you're looking for my cards try searching Ebay under Ingus.

Below is the official press release that includes a link so you can check out all the cards up for auction.

Blue Line Art is organizing its second annual exhibition and auction of original sketch card art to benefit the American Cancer Society. Makers of Blue Line Pro comic book paper, they have provided the blank cards, and the artists involved have returned some fabulous artwork that will be auctioned off for the cancer charity.

There will be a public exhibition at the Comics 2 Games Florence, Kentucky location on April 4th 2009. The auction of all the original art cards will go online starting the week before the Sketch Card exhibition and will end that evening. All proceeds from the sale of the cards will go to the American Cancer Society.

Bob and Mike Hickey, founders and owners of Blue Line Art, are organizing this fundraiser in honor of Bob’s wife Katie, a breast cancer survivor. Blue Line publishes Sketch Magazine and Graphic Novel Scene and sells Blue Line Art boards to both comic book companies and individual artists. The Hickey family has long been aware of the generosity of the comic book community. All involved are looking forward to another successful event that celebrates the diversity of comic book artists’ unique talents and their heroic spirit of helping those in need.

For more information, you can go to the charity's website at: [link]

For more information, you can contact: cs@bluelinepro.com

And here's the link to the auction when it starts! Other artists that have cards available for auction are Leah Mangue, Ingrid Hardy and Jeff Chandler. I did 10 or 12 cards in total for this event, so I'm guessing that every couple of weeks there will be new auctions.
I've included a link to a page that lists all the auctions (there are some cool non-art auctions as well).

[link]

American Cancer Society Sketch Card Benefit

I contributed 4 cards to the American Cancer Society Sketch Card Benefit auctions that will start this weekend. More Details are below:

COMICS2GAMES / BLUE LINE PRODUCTIONS
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
SKETCH CARD BENEFIT AUCTION

One of the largest single auction events of original comic book, science fiction and fantasy artwork of all time will be hosted by Blue Line Pro and retail store Comics2Games in early March. Over 500 original artwork pieces will be auctioned on E-Bay to benefit the American Cancer Society. How do you get so many pieces of original artwork for one event? Think small to think big. All of the art pieces are sketch cards, about the size of regular sports or gaming trading cards. Original art sketch cards have become huge collector items. Each piece is an original work of art but the size makes them both more affordable and easier to store. Both industry pros and talented newcomers have generously donated their work to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The cards will be on public display on Saturday, March 8TH 2008 at Comics2Games in Florence, Kentucky. Artwork will be on public display from noon until 8:00 PM. Immediately after the show all cards will go up for auction on E-Bay. All proceeds from the online auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society at the Kenton County Relay for Life summer event. Over 100 industry professionals have donated original sketch card including Billy Tan, Steve Rude, David Mack, Jimmy Palmiotti, Neil Vokes, Dick Giordano, Steve Bissette, Todd Nauck, Jim Valentino, David Peterson, Steve Conley, Tony DiZuniga, Uko, Greg LaRocque, Mark McKenna, Brendon and Brian Fraim, and David Michael Beck. Many more have committed artwork to help make this a successful event.

eBay BENEFIT AUCTION
Begins at 5:00 pm March 8, 2008 for seven days.
All Cards displayed will be put up for auction with all the money going to the American Cancer Society.

Here's a link to the auctions [link]

Lauras

It's a nice scenic drive to get there and it looks to be a great show. There will be 10-12 artists on hand, card manufacturers and lots of dealers to satisfy your trading card fix.
