Hay guys,

I'm so sorry for being offline for so long. I took a break off dA because *life* took it's toll on me.

As you probably know, I had two other deviants helping me post stuff etc etc, but apparently they've ignored their jobs as much as I have. Therefor, as of now, they're both fired. Sorry.
But I can't do this on my own. Two weeks from now, I'm going on vacation for five weeks with a one week break in the middle. Which means I might not be here for another two months. Which means I'm looking for someone else who wants to help me administrate this club. If you want to apply, send me or this club a note.

Again, sorry for being offline for so long. I'm going to catch up on the last few months. Please be patient while I add people to the list and deviations to the gallery.

I hope everyone has had a great Valentines! Right now, though, I'd like to pimp a new OC club that has been created, namely ~DarkHorseTournament. One of the creators has sent me a note, so I'd like to post the contents here, so you'll know what the club is about.

Hello! ~gatogirl12345 and I (*Aikin) created an OC contest/community called the Dark Horse Tournament and we wish to spread to word far and wide across DA. So naturally, we wish to hit as many OC hubs as possible, and we look forward to creating a large web of communities.

As of now, the DHT is a standard fair; contests square off in environment and may animate, write, or draw their entry. We encourage that one develops a character through out the tournament and the following contests.(if one desired to go onwards) We also allow players to create a character how they see fit... well, for a price. To help give players a sense of balance, we rate each fighter based on things such as back story, powers, and originality. This score is than affixed to that character, and is a factor when judging entries.

Right now, we want to get a feel for the judging/rating system. Yet in the future, we hope to host more story driven events (like escaping the DHT coliseum-city), themed tournaments (like doubles or have each entry based off a word or idea), and even take on other OC tournaments in friendly skirmishes. In short, it won't be "Just Another OC Tournament/Community" but a challenge to help broaden an artist's creativity and have some fun as well.

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry for the lack of updates. I've been getting enough submissions (thank you for never tiring of submitting stuff to this club <3 ) but I've hardly been on the pc this last month due to school and the likes. And when I was, I just never felt like uploading any of them. So, I came to the conclusion that I should ask for a little help administrating this club. I already mentioned it before in a ps, but I don't think many people saw it, and anyway I wasn't very clear about it, so I'm now devoting a whole journal to the question:

Who would like to co-admin this club with me?

Here's what you'll have to do once you're co-admin of this club:
*Upload stuff the same way it's always been done. I think you get the general idea of how it works. If you decide to try and help me out I'll be a little more specific about this.
*Add new members and affiliates to the club's Watchlist and to the list in our "Members and Affiliates" journal, as well as change the "5 newest members/affiliates" thingy at the bottom of the journal that's on top at the time. Again, if it's unclear I will try to clarify this to applicants
*Help make this club better by thinking up new stuff we could be doing or how to make the old stuff better. Ex, new ideas for contests: when they'll end, how we'll vote, etc. Ex, how to make the rules or memberlist more clear, etc.

Um, that's about it I guess. I'll still be the one typing the journals, and I'll still be in charge of the club, so you won't be on your own. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, and if you feel like you're up to the task, send me a note entitles "ADMIN" or something and I'll get back at you.
Oh yeah by the way, don't be mad if I don't pick you. It's not like I know everyone through and through, so it's kind of a gamble for me having to pick someone.

I'm not gonna be here for, well, almost a month. A friend of mine is gonna be staying at my place for a few days, and the day after she leaves I'm going on vacation. So that means I will not be posting new deviations and/or updating journals (members/affiliates) from now till (around) the 6th of August. Sorry about that, but uh... This club is teachnically a one-woman-show, and we're not that big that I can't afford to take a break for a while, so yeah.

My internet connection = teh craps since we moved the ADSL box thingy upstairs to my brother's room. When I say teh craps, I mean that it changes from (really) good to (really) bad every few minutes. My dad says it might be something to do with the weather, what with moisturity (don't know if I use that word right? I mean pressure of water in the air anyway) and all.
So anyway, I don't know when I'll be able to post the submissions you('ve) send me (thanks for that btw, I hadn't got any in a while), seeing as it just kicks me off of the internet when I'm in the middle of submitting something. Sorry for that. I'll update this journal as soon as this whole mess is over. I'll do my best to submit whenever my internet doesn't abandon me every five minutes. (Not today though, I'm not on my own pc and I don't trust this one.)

Please understand, the purpose of this club is not to collect favs. We provide you with links to make it easier for you to find the artists page: your fav is just two clicks away!

I'm rather flabbergasted that this happened, actually. And I don't really want to be the one to tell people to remove favs etc. So I made two decisions:

~Rekei-no-Takai suggested that we should have a contest for the first ID. What do you guys think? I didn't want to do it at first, because we don't have many members as of yet, but now that I think about it again, I say, "Let's ask the members"!

But first, I think it'd be sweet to have a mascot! -- which we can later on put in the ID

So it's gonna be a contest for THE CLUB'S MASCOT! And we'll have a contest for the ID later, kk?

There's a new rule XD
It's nothing big, just fill in the descriptions as stated in the Rules (I pasted the new rule below, so you don't need to search for it). This is just so I don't get it wrong... and stuff.
Oh, when something doesn't apply to your OC, just put a hearty "OBJECTION!!!" -- or leave it blank, whichever you like ^^

When you want to submit a Deviation, please put the following in the Artists Comments:
*Name
*Species
*Profession
*Something along the lines of "I give ~we-are-original permission to submit this work to their gallery" -- or however else you want to say it. I wanted to put this here, too, because I want to advertise the club, lol

Soooooo examples can be found in our gallery O.o
Oh yeah, as for the submissions posted untill now, this rule doesn't nesesairilly (or however that's written) apply to those. Unless you really feel like putting it there anyway.
But if I put something wrong in the descriptions of the thingies I posted, then you can just leave a message with the right descriptions so I can fix it.

That's all. I hope you like the club so far. Oh yeah, any feedback as to how to improve the system would be appreciated. Just send us a note or leave a message ^^

But anyway, yeah I started to work on the ID. I sketched it yesterday, and just now I finished inking it. I decided to put some of our very own characters in it -- that means, characters that are in this club's gallery

(Not counting my own character, Sami... Yeah I cheated, lol >_> )

Buuuut I haven't colored it yet, because I think I butchered some of your characters (if not all) ._. I just needed to know if you a) think they look okay/fine/good/great, and b) if you're fine with your character being used in our club's ID.
