I just wanted to stop in and talk about how I am not too fond of how Michael Jackson is being mourned more than Farrah Fawcett. I mean, everywhere I see that wax man and I don't see any tributes for Farrah - not even on Deviant! I put up my latest little GIF for Farrah and they didn't even have a spot for her in the Tributes! They had MJ though, wtf?! I don't care if he was the "King of pop," he wasn't to me. I'm not saying that i'm glad that he's dead or anything but I just am not feeling the sympathy like everyone else is, I guess. Must be because Farrah had suffered the most out of the two when it comes to their deaths. He just suddenly died, she was dying for how long? Really.

Every year around March the Canadian Government gives Fisherman in Canada rights to kill thousands of baby seals still weaning, to be clubbed - shot - skinned - and blugened to death. What for? For fur coats.
There is a law this year that anyone that is caught observing a sealer killing a seal, is illegal. No one is to be taking photos or filming the slaughter and no one can find out why other than the fact that they are NOT wanting the public to know of this cruel and barbaric hunt. But it's not stopping people like the Sea Shepard and the HSUS to document what has been going on so far and there has been some bad karma for the sealers, which I have no compassion for, that have led to four of their deaths. A boat had capsized and three were found dead, one is still missing; a huge storm is effecting the hunt this year and is only supposed to last a few days - we hope it lasts a week or more because no matter how hard anyone in the world has been trying, even with money, to stop Canada from allowing this hunt to go on, it hasn't been stopped. There have been messages and emails coming from all over the world and celebrities and other politicians have been asking for this country to stop the cruelty but they won't budge.
I am asking everyone on here to NOT support Canada in any shape or form when it comes to seafood. If Canadian seafood is not accepted through out the world, it will cause crucial damage to the seafood industry; causing them to lose money is our goal to get them to stop the hunt once and for all.
There are companies that are still supporting the Canadian seafood industry and they are Publix Supermarkets and Red Lobster. If you could, kindly send them messages to ask them to stop buying from Canada's fisheries.
There's tons of petitions going on for this hunt but here's one of the main ones:

Milk Sugar is Indigestible

The enzyme required to digest milk sugar, lactose, is called lactase. It dis-appears from the human intestine at the age of three! That's right. After 3, milk is virtually indigestible. Milk is no longer recommended for infants below the age of one even by the American Association of Pediatricians! The Physican's Committee for Responsible medicine denounces the use of milk. They say (backed up by evidence) that it is the cause of many diseases


What about the Cruelty to Cows?

They are made forcibly pregnant every year to make them give milk. They are kept awake and milked at night so you can get your milk in the morning. They are fed banned drugs (oxytocin) to increase milk production. They are usually kept cramped up in unhygienic conditions, so they fall ill and get infected. To prevent this, they are fe huge amounts of anti-biotics which find their way into the milk.


And spare a thought for the poor calves, who are deprived of their mother's milk so you can have it?

* The Dairy Council tells us: "Milk is nature's most perfect food"
* The Dairy Council doesn't tell us: Milk is nature's food for a baby calf, who has four stomachs, will double its weight in 47 days and is destined to weigh 300 pounds within a year
* The Dairy Council tells children: To grow up big and strong, drink lots of milk
* The Dairy Council occasionally tells children: The enzyme necessary for digestion of animal milk is lactase
* The Dairy Council never tells children: 20% of Caucasians, 53% of the Hispanics and 80-95% of Black people have no lactase in their intestines.
* 89% of the dairy herds in the United States are infected with leukemia (a cancer of the blood/bonemarrow). The milk industry says the leukemia virus is rendered inactive by pasteurization ( a process of heating milk up to 158 Fº ). All of the commercial milk is pasteurized.

* Pasteurization changes the calcium into an insoluble form which cannot be absorbed by animals or humans. This high-heat cooking also destroys all the enzymes.

* Calves will die if fed pasteurized milk/cheese as their normal diet. Again, all milk is pasteurized in the USA (or its illegal to sell).

* Milk is actually white blood. The average quart of milk (sold in America) contains 322 million white blood cells. Once its pasteurized it becomes 322 million dead white blood cells. Were drinking dead blood

* The infectious particle causing Cows to become "mad" is called a Prion. Prions cannot be destroyed by pasteurization.

* A single documented dairy cow infected with Mad Cow Disease from a Washington herd, had her milk pooled with 3,000 others from that same herd. This "pooled" milk was distributed on the West Coast. Her infected milk was made into cheese and butter and ice cream, and shipped from the West Coast to the East Coast, and to all points in between.

* The incubation period for Mad Cows Disease: 20 years (meaning in 20 years you will know whether you have been infected... which is why the dairy folks are off the hook...for now)

* 80% of the protein in milk is casein. Casein is the primary ingredient of furniture glue and is also used for holding beer bottle labels in place
* The cholesterol content of those three glasses of milk is equal to what one would get from 53 slices of bacon.

IGF-1 is a normal part of all milk as the newborn cow is supposed to grow very quickly. By a freak of nature this hormone is identical in cows and humans. IGF-1 is a key factor in the rapid growth and proliferation of breast, prostate and colon cancers, and is suspected that most likely it will be found to rapidly promote the growth of ALL cancers.

* The USDA's Pesticide Data Program (PDP) is the most sophisticated government program in the world that tests food for pesticide residues. From the official 2004 report: DDE was found in 96 percent of the tested samples. Diphenylamine (DPA) was found in 98 percent of the samples. I was happy about that because I recently lost touch with another hero of mine and that's Tim Curry. He had a friend on Myspace that was running a page for him and I guess he was getting a lot of hate mail or something and it made him sad, supposedly HE deleted the page, but I have yet to get the full scoop. One friend of mine that I met on his page is friends with me, her name is Tressa Graves, she is a horror novelist and has a book that was turned in to a movie; it's call Fallen Angels. She said she was good friends with him when his profile was up and she had assured me that he would be back, he hasn't been back, and the page dissapeared on the 19th of December. I have been besides myself because he was so nice to me, told me that I was a wonderful person; most likely because of my Myspace being about animal rights - he loves animals and also said that he liked hearing from real fans, made me part of his top friends list.
Anyway, I just feel sad about losing touch, but my friend, Tressa, she told me that she would contact some of her actor friends to see what is going down with Tim. I hope things end up okay because...well just because.
The only reason I typed in here was because it's going on 3am and i'm not sure what to do. I may watch a movie but I am kind of tired and cold but I know I will probably just lay in bed and stare at the ceiling.

In addition to the ever-present misery caused by extremely crowded cages, filthy conditions, a lack of basic enrichment, an often inadequate food and water supply, and excessive noise, PETA's investigation of a massive breeding mill and one of PetSmart's main animal suppliers, Rainbow World Exotics in Hamilton, Texas, also revealed that live animals were thrown into the trash, were deprived of desperately needed veterinary care, were suffering and dying alone in their cages, and were cannibalizing each other; that rabbits underwent crude neuter surgeries at the hands of a layperson in a filthy, dark room; and more.

Unsuspecting PetSmart customers have reported buying unsocialized, sick, and injured animals, including guinea pigs with eye and upper respiratory infections, hamsters with deadly diseases, sick and dying betta fish, and suffering birds. As PETA's investigator documented at this breeding mill, overcrowding, lack of veterinary care, and lack of socialization are the norm, not the exception, for the tens of thousands of animals at Rainbow.
PetSmart's trade in live animals supports this mass-breeding industry that is just as cruel as—and even less regulated than—the puppy mill industry. It results in abysmal treatment of tiny, vulnerable beings, and it ultimately leads to their overpopulation, homelessness, neglect, and suffering.

The movement toward "humanely raised food animals" simply assuages our guilt more than it actually reduces animal suffering. If we truly want our actions to reflect the compassion for animals we say we have, then the answer is very simple. We can stop eating them. How can this possibly be considered anything but a rational and merciful response to a violent and vacuous ritual? Every animal born into this world for his or her flesh, eggs or milk—only to be killed for human pleasure—has the same desire for maternal comfort and protection, the same ability to feel pain, and the same impulse to live as any living creature. There's nothing humane about breeding animals only to kill them, and there's nothing humane about ending the life of a healthy animal in his or her youth. In short, there is nothing humane about eating meat.
