It's true. I am going to be very honest in this journal so if you hate me afterwards, it's fine with me.

What's up?

So, I was sorting through old art folders yesterday, and came across some pretty old art commissions. Like, 2005 at the earliest. These should have been shipped years ago, but along the way, somehow they didn't. I even found the lineart of WIP commissions that I thought I'd finished years ago, including some for Celest and Tassimet. I think I was waiting on a response from Tassie, but eventually I must have given up.

I think being in university, as well as the health problems I had over the last few years has left me unorganized and generally, a bad artist. I'm terribly sorry for all who have been waiting years on commissions and trades, I feel so bad about it. This year has not been particularly good either; I had an operation on my wrist that took months to heal, and prior to that, I was in a lot of pain whenever I drew something.

It still aches, but not as bad as it used to. So I'm slowly coming to be able to complete commissions faster, I'm just so sorry about the terrible delays. I know I have badges to send out, too. Some badges were damaged in the laminator, and I neglected to tell the commissioners, which is extremely unprofessional of me. Those people will be contacted and given new badges, either replicas or new ones altogether. All badges in the future will be digital as my laminator does indeed like to eat them.

Can I get a refund?

In short, not right now.

I am currently jobless, and the benefits I am on are not enough to refund everybody. If you are willing to wait until I do have the money, please let me know via email (at the bottom of this post).

Can I get an exchange?

Yes.

If you have been waiting for a while on art that has been partially finished, I am willing to complete the existing artwork, and provide you with an additional commission. I request that the commissioner states a deadline for this second piece (a month minimum is prefered, but if you'd like it sooner, that's fine) and I'll do my best to meet it.

The compensation commission will be a downgrade from the completed commission, so if you are waiting on a badge, you'd get a sketch. If you were waiting on a two character full colour commission, you'd get a one character flat coloured commission.

You will recieve the original artwork too.

If you want the original artwork replaced completely, that's fine. See below about traditional commissions. In this case, the commission will be upgraded. If it cannot be upgraded any further, a sketch or badge will be offered. (generally one character)

My artwork was traditional. What happens now?

I do not currently have the art supplies to complete traditional commissions due to costs. Instead, I can offer the following:

- I can redraw the entire commission and colour it digitally.
- I can ink it traditionally, scan and colour it, and you will receive the original lineart.

Everything about the 'compensation' art applies to traditional, but sketches/badges etc will be digital.

When will I be sent my (already completed) commission, then?

I am going to try and budget £20-30 a month or so from my benefits, and use that as postal costs. The artwork will be sent in no particular order, but the receiver will be contacted about a week before I send out.

I have a commission slot with you, but I haven't paid yet. What do I do?

I ask that you cancel the commission for the time being due to the wait. When I next open slots, you are welcome to contact me with a reminder.

I haven't heard anything about my commission for months/years... Will you still do it?

Of course! I don't intend to rip anyone off, here. I've just had a bit of a ride with life. In any case, please contact me via email with a reminder of what you asked for, and I'll do my best.

Do you plan on taking commissions again soon?

Not untill Confuzzled 2010.

Before then, I want to completely clear my current cache. I aim to become better with my time, and take commissions for month slots, not all at once. I also will not allow clients to pay me up front, in case I have a problem with the commisson/anything else.

Secondly, I apologize to anyone who has been trying to contact me. I have been avoiding DA and FA for nearly a month as every time I come here... I get depressed. Since I have started college, I haven't been able to draw. I mean both art block and.. literally not being able to draw. I am forgetting how to. And I don't have the time to practise. Every time I come here and see others art, it depresses me.

Some of you may know that I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), and even though I'm being treated, it's still affecting me. I feel drained, hopeless and my inspiration is crushed. I get like this every year from September/October - Febuary. For this reason.. I think I'm unsuitable as a trading artist. I am going to pernamently close my commissions. I take too long on them and stress myself over them too much. And I think this affects the final quality of the artwork.

When I feel inclined, I will still do originals, and maybe sell them, but I will not take commissions. There are a few people who I will still accept commissions off, close friends, but apart from that, I'm afraid this is it.

To anyone waiting on artwork - If you are waiting on a commission, and I have not started, you have the choice of canceling it, and I will refund your money, or waiting. If I have already started it, I will complete it as soon as I can in my spare time, but I refuse to when my art block is this bad, or it will end up rather crappy.

To people waiting on trade-halfs, I will complete your trades, but as emphasized, trades are not my priority.

I am terribly, terribly sorry for this, but this is a choice. Who knows, in the future some time I may clear up my life and be happy to take on commissions again. But right now it is just not possible.

The theme of this contest will be seasonal, as in the holiday of Halloween. This means themes you may want to use are:

Autumn/Fall

Anything else you can come up with

In an echo to a previous contest I did, the entry MUST include the colour RED and a BIRD of some description (this can be an animal, logo, symbol and does NOT have to be the focus of the image, unless you want it to be.

You MUST also include one of the following characters, either with one of your own, or alone, it's up to you.

You can do full-colour, inks, sketches, in whatever medium you like. This includes sculpture, painting, ANYTHING.

1st - Watercolour commission (up to two characters)
2nd - Inked sketch (up to two characters)

All participants will recieve a one character sketch for taking part

Preferences in art
I tend to prefer drawing non-anthro/natural animals, but do anthro also. I will also draw pet portraits, fantasy animals, and will draw any species. Needless to say, I will not draw adult art as prizes, but will allow for tasteful nudity.

Judging
The entries will be judged on concept, originality, idea and NOT talent. This gives an equal chance to everyone. Anyone who does not include one of the above essential criteria, will not be able to enter their piece.

You are allowed to enter more than one piece, if you want to.

Completion

So I'm finally printing out all refs and information for commissions (as I can't get online all the time). Please check the commission list to see if you're there. If you haven't yet paid, may I ask that you consider canceling your commission for the time being? I'm starting college soon, and my hand (carpal tunnel) is getting worse, so commissions are very slow. I can pick up commissions again in the future, but right now it's hard for me. I will try and get everyones who's paid (priority) done asap. In the future I will not accept payment at least until the inks, or when I'm half way colouring. If I trust the commissioner (i.e. they've commissioned me before) I will ask for payment only after the final image is done.

So yes, commissions WILL be done, I have the refs now and work is laying off me a little so I should have a little more time.

Anyone who is waiting on a paid commission, and is not on the list, or if I've just taken a long time, please comment/email me and let me know

The review rated the gameplay as excellent, though quite different from others in the FF series, having more KH-styled gameplay than the traditional style I've come to expect from FF. Though it didn't rate this as bad, it noted that playing was based a lot more on luck than skill, which defeats the purpose of a game, in my opinion. I want to feel good after beating a boss or something because of my game skill level, not luck. Or maybe I'm just feeling that way because its a FF game, and it's unusual.

The story was also rated excellent, as were most other aspects. But what let it down was the length. The game has an average length of 10 hours. 10 HOURS?! Thats stupidly short for a RPG in general, nevermind the 30-40 hour FF games. The length puts me off as a gamer slightly, does this mean the game is less rewarding? The review also stated the game was very easy compared to others, including the original, however it stated that theres a hard mode, which is awesome.

Watching my boyfriend play, I can say the soundtrack is also awesome, and the voice acting, as much as I hate the dub, seems to be done very well. The in-game animation is also fantastic, as we've come to expect from Squeenix, but they still seem to struggle with some facial expression, and character expressions can come across as 'stiff' sometimes (though they're much, much better than the previous games I've played).

I guess the point of this post is to ask you who have played, or completed the game, what are your (unbiased) opinions on it? I want to know whether or not it's worth splashing £150 on anytime soon or not (Yeah, I still need to buy a PSP and I'm considering the FFVII Special Edition one.) I know I shouldn't just judge on one review, but this is the first that has actually pointed out what's bad about the game, instead of ass-kissing it just because it has the label 'Final Fantasy'.

No spoilers, please.

Just 'inspired' from a recent few comments I've received. Surely if you dislike anthro/furry art, if anthropomorphic animals repulse or disgust you, WHY would you be on my page? Why would you even bother clicking my gallery, and even more so, what makes you comment?

I KNOW some people out there are against this type of art, especially the more erotic stuff, but seriously, save it for ED or something. Your comments are rude and unnecessary. I'm not hurt by them as I'm oh too used to them, but its just ANNOYING.

This is the FINAL role call for the secret santa exchange that I'm hosting. For everyone who's already listed, please post your reference information/picture here as a comment.

I will wait for people until the 3rd, and if you still haven't responded/posted your reference, I'm afraid you'll have to be left out. I'm considering doing future exchanges though, so keep an eye out.

Okay, so I've finally decided to use the folder feature on my gallery.

I love the way things are much more organized now. Please bear in mind though, the artwork is ordered OLDEST FIRST, although nothing in the main galleries dates beyond 2006. All old artwork is in a separate folder (because this is the only place on the internet that hosts my old artwork). Old fanart however, will be put into the fanart folder anyway.

Anyways, the new featured will give you a nice look at how I've improved over the years *grins*

In 10 days I will have not drawn or submitted art for a month. This is incredibly depressing, and yet, I dread having to finally start on my comissions again. Perhaps if I did a little at a time, it would help. However, I'd rather have to make people wait further than have to have my hand amputated -___-

For those who do not know, I've been banned from drawing for 'a few weeks' by my Doctor. My right hand is suffering from bad repeatative strain, developing into carpel tunnel syndrome which has caused my ligaments to swell. My Doctor said the only way to prevent further damage (i.e. the ligaments snapping and my hand having to be taken off), I would have to stop the activity thats causing it the most strain i.e. drawing.

Sketching seems to be fine, inking/colouring and tablet work is way too stressful to my hand. But I'm afraid that if I stop drawing for any longer... I'll forget HOW to draw all together.

Just musings ^_^ Carry on, carry on.


Also, in a random attempt to gather bleachverse and fmaverse peoples, I'm going to ask that if anyone has, or knows anyone from either verse (SoulBond OR fictionkin), my soulbonds are happy to meet you ^_^

Okay, firstly, I said trades would start this month, September. However I am currently jobless and feeling quite emotionally down so I'm going to have to put them on hold, once again. Maybe till I get a job, and sort myself out.

I am trying desperatly to sell commissions, as that will be my only income right now, and due to the bastard exchange rate, thats not much at all. I've been browsing the job offers in the forum everyday just to try and find a job, doing SOMETHING, with no luck.

And yes, my hand is still stiff, but its food over that right now I'm afraid. All commissions are about to be opened, at good prices. So please, please consider. I need some cash so much right now, its getting me down that I can't find a job, its depressing me. And I'll be fucked if I spend another winter with SADs.

Due to being jobless right now, I am opening 2 commissions! The completion time for these commissions is a maxiumum of 3 weeks, depending on communication from the commissioner, of course.

I am offering two commission slots, which I can start on right away. Before doing anything else, please read my quick guidelines to commissioning me.

- I am currently only taking for SINGLE character commissions, nop backgrounds.
- I will draw anthro, animals, fantasy and anime. I will not draw machines and mecca, cars and other vechiles, and anything I find 'wrong'. The best way to fine that out is to email me at ravenwolfboy@gmail.com
- I only accept Paypal and all payments should be made in UK pounds.
- You must email me a description of your character, colouration, details, pose and if possible,
a reference sheet.
- Payment is due after the sketch has been approved.

Medium

The current medium I am offering is Opencanvas. This is a digital medium and you will not recieve the finished art, but if wanted, the inked/sketch can be sent via post, for £1.00 extra. I'm sorry to say that prints are currently not availible.

It started about a year ago, but recently has gotten very bad and I keep getting shooting pains in my hands and wrists. It can cope with small amounts of typing which is just a low pain. Drawing and colouring, however are causing very uncomfortable pains for me.

There is only one solution. I have to try to stop drawing for a while. This is going to be incredibly difficult. Drawing is like breathing to me. Its my whole life. I can't go a single day without drawing in my various sketchbooks.

Complications in this syndrome may lead to me not being able to draw anymore. I seriously, would want to die if that happened. Drawing is how I vent, how I express myself, how I make others happy.

Hopefully it'll get sorted. Please pray for my welfare, please.

I will be finishing work tomorrow (hopefully), and before I start the stress of looking for a new job, I may take 2-3 weeks off. In these weeks I will have NO internet access, be online and will only do art for myself. I also need to start meditating and respecting Spirit again. Stag is quite annoyed at me right now, as even though I've had various signs that He wishes to speak, I haven't made any effort.

I'd also like to take this time to work on my psychic development. I got to the point of being able to read people off their objects last year, but have since lost it completly.

Hey all,

I'm in need of a mascot for a Anime club I maintain. NWA (North-West anime) is a anime club set in the North-West part of England, and Wales.

We're in need of a mascot and the winning entry will be used as the clubs permament mascot! The mascot will be used on the Livejournal and Facebook communities, and on the Website (when its up)

Basic rules:

- Entry can be human, anime, angel, anything, but must be related to anime, and be in anime style.
- Entry must be in colour, or must at least have a colour key.
- Entry MUST be PG13
- Winning entry is likely to be redrawn a lot, so rights must be given to the NWA club, although original credit will of course be given to the artist.

The book is 'The Fox and the Jewel' by Karen Ann Smyers

You should be able to get a copy for $28.00, but if you canonly purchase a more expensive copy, w shall have to sort something out. Be honest, for gods sake. If I see a cheap one up, when you have deliberatly bought the book, the book will be returned, and you will not be given any commissions.

In return for this book, being bought on your account (if you don't have one, make one XD), and being shipped directly to me (I will provide my address to the commissionee via email) I will provide the following :

A full colour marker and coloured pencil piece on card. (Usually $40)

The rules

1.) Make 100 pics each pic having a theme listed below. Each pic should have ONE and only ONE theme to it, for it to count.

3.) The main picture should be drawn but not limited to. for all fair purposes, people are allowed to use their paint programs and photo shop to create the pic.

3a.) pics should be of own artistic ability. You may not edit photos, or break any other rules set out in the Da etiquette policy. Your pics can be anything from sketches and doodles to great master pieces. Just have fun with it.

Personality - This is a very graphic, simple image. The colours are flat and the photo background is charming. I chose this as the winner because the pocky, and pose and concept suited Hayden so very well and I think portrayed him the best.

- I will draw adult art, including various fetishes

The theme of my contest this time is Japan!

Here are the rules :3
