I have made a decision to suspend all my photographic endeavors for the moment. Why? A few reasons:

1. Not enough time investment. I have been very busy at work as software engineer, and out of work I have been a public speaker in social events and workshops. I have also been a part-time musician (with the arrival of my keyboard from Jakarta last night, my circle of instruments is complete - guitar, saxophone, and keyboard).

2. Not enough financial investment to stay up-to-date. I own a manual ratchet-driven camera that costs me $10 per 24 shots. Not that I don't like it, but in the advent of digital revolution, my set of old tools just can't support the current paradigms that I am embracing, such as going green and reducing the amount of garbage. I would really like to get myself a dSLR, but right now it is not a priority item on my shopping list.

3. I am focusing on another type of art... game development! It is arguably the most complicated art there is right now, but I'm slowly grasping it. Still, it takes a lot of time!

I don't write here often either. If you want to read my personal journal, go here: [link] (not that I write often there either...)

I haven't been active here for a long time. I've been busy creating websites and other software projects for other people that I haven't spent much time taking pictures.

It's a shame, too, that I live in Bali but rarely enjoy its beauty. I don't lug my camera around any more. I got caught up in the drive to become "financially independent". Whatever that means.

Funny what time and place does to people. I only do what I naturally would do: adapt to the new situation. But at the same time, part of the soul I once had seem to have run away.

I'm not entirely sure where I'm being brought by life... but I do know that at the end of this journey lies a great meadow full of flowers. I know... because God promises me.
