I wanted to make a group picture of the pack for a while now, but I wasn't sure how exactly to go about it. Now, I know!!!

I was thinking of doing something similar to this:

Obviously for this, you're going to have to give me a reference or description of your fursona if you want to be included in the picture. DEADLINE FOR THESE IS APRIL 21st!!! THIS IS MEANT TO BE FOR THE WHOLE PACK BUT IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME AT LEAST A DESCRIPTION BY THEN, YOU WILL NOT BE INCLUDED!!!

And if later on you hear in the news about a teenage girl in hospital for life-threatening hand cramps, that'll be me!

What I'm about to do is dangerous and deadly, it should not be tried at home kids!!!

And could people stop telling me about the fact that they have moved up a rank or something, I know that my version of the rankings is old, because I'd already posted this journal when Fyrien released the new ranks. OK?

And another thing, please don't leave comments like "That sounds like a good idea" because then how do I know whether you want to be on grand art or not? It gets very confusing because I don't know whether to put you on the list or what, or if you even have a fursona! So please just give me a link to your fursona if you want to be included, if you don't want to be on it they don't leave confusing commets like this!

Haha, it's funny to see how low people will sink! You have probably heard of the recent news that's been going round dA of the infamous !Adobe-Has-Problems. Basically he got a zillion pageviews, but these were not real pageviews you understand! On his website he claims his flash is faulty and should be tested, for which he needs 100,000 euros. NOOO!!! Help me!!!!

Don't you just hate art blocks? When everything you draw just turns out shitty. I have that now.... or maybe I'm just being too critical of myself.

What do you do to get out of an art block? Should I stop trying for a while and let my head clear? I'm definetly getting a bit stressed at the moment, what with GCSE options to deal with and SATs coming up in a few months, no wonder I'm practically tearing my hair out. *sighs* I need a holiday.....

Dabbling in the Digital

Due to my amazing ability to create crap on paper, I've moved on. At least for now. I downloaded a program called Apophysis, where you can create awesomesauce fractuals using mathematical stuff (something to do with triangles) that I don't really understand. You don't actaully need to understand how the techy bit works, I just click a few buttons and mess about with colours for a bit, et voila! I also got a free trial of Photoshop Elements 6.0, which I'm still getting used to. If anyone's got any tips on that then please, TELL ME!!!!

Yes, I am back! I survived the wrath of the French and the East Midlands airport staff! Lol, not really a wrath!

"Fair"Exposure?

This seems to be a topic hitting the dA headlines at the moment, so I just had to have a go!

You all know of the "popular" section on the dA front page surely? It's where (obviously!) the most popular pieces of the last 24 hours are displayed for your pleasure, and if you're lucky, you might see some of your own work there from time to time. Well, it used to be that! The people in charge of dA noticed that the same artists were getting on the popular section, and they didn't like it! Personally, I don't see anything wrong with that, I say "Good for those people!". But no, apparently this wasn't fair. What is fair anyway? Life? Life isn't fair, fact. This website isn't fair. If you're good at art, you get noticed, while the rest of us poor saps are left to face fact, you don't get popular here if your art is no good! Because it's an art site!!! Duh!!! So, they thought "Hmm, this obviously isn't fair! We must find a solution!!!!" Their solution?

FairExposure.

What is it exactly? Well, the stuff that went on the popular section before was judged on the amount of favs it had. Now, art is randomly selected and posted on the front page. So really, although it still says popular, it's really the random-art-randomly-selected-by-a-mathematical-formula section. But I guess they thought that wasn't as catchy. It's not just the front page that's affected though, if you browse anything on dA and set the order to popular, it's different. Doing this used to make the results show up in order of most popular to least popular. Now it is in random order. So the first thing on the list could have like, no favs or comments.

Downsides of FairExposure:

The front page will now be spammed by crap art that no one cares about.

You won't be able to find the most popular piece in a search easily anymore (i.e: you can't find the best art of a certain subject)

Bad for buisness. People sometimes make careers from bosses finding them on dA. Organised, at last!

Well, I think I've finally got a bit more organised (about time!) things seem to be running smoothly, and hopefully soon I'll have most of my half finished artwork out of the way, and I can start on something new.

I've made a promise to myself not to start new art until I've finished what I'm already working on, that way I don't end up with hundreds of linearts and sketches lying around my room.

Current project is the prize for ~xxshippuden999xx and after that I'm going to be doing a new reference for Akai, this'll be verion 3.0!!!!!

Art theft has just got even worse!!! All thanks to PhotoBucket!!! Yay, good for you PB.

Thanks a million.
You might not know, unless you have a PhotoBucket account, but PB has a public print service, allowing anybody to buy prints from there. But as i'm sure you do know lots of work from dA has been re-posted on PhotoBucket. So were these artists notified that their work was being made available in this way? Do a search on PhotoBucket for your username or deviation titles, and you might find some of your work there. Don't find any of yours? Try searching the username, titles or character names from your favourite artists. Sometimes the work is slightly altered, but still recognisable as stolen art. Here's a few i found:

In my last journal i said that we should stop people believing wolves are evil, one way i suggested of doing this was to put posters up. Mirou's idea was for lots of people to do a poster showing the good side of wolves, and put it up on DA.

Funny Farm

I had alot of messages to get through today, i was at my friend Hannah's all day yesterday. I've got to say its so fun at her place, she lives on a farm!

So we spent the day herding the sheep with her border collie, Stella, walking her other 2 dogs (welsh springer spaniels, they're so cute!

) Roxy and Rocko and we went out with her older sister Ellie, hawking.

For those of you who don't know what hawking is (its not the most common pastime) it is a form of hunting. You may now be thinking "But i thought you didn't like hunting!", i don't mind hunting, when you actually use the animal you just killed. What i hate is people killing animals and just leaving them and of course i hate hunting endangered animals. We were hunting rabbits, which as you know, we don't really have a shortage of in the UK. XD. Hawking is quite a thrilling thing to do, you don't use a gun, or any form of weapon at all. What happens is: you find a rabbit warren and you put a ferret inside it. The ferrret will look for rabbits and flush them out, when the rabbits bolt, the hawk chases down the rabbit and catches it. Th hawk doesn't kill the rabbit, you then go and find where the rabbit is and break its neck- killing it swiftly and painlessly.

Now if anybody feels that killing a rabbit like that, after it's had a good life living in the wild is worse than going to Tesco and buying a chicken that has lived for 39 days in a cage so small it can't turn around... i pity you. This is the best way to kill an animal. And don't worry, nothing went to waste! We caught 4 rabbits and only the skin wasn't used (but what could you use it for?). Ellie gutted the rabbits whilst we were out only leaving the lungs and heart in. The rest of the guts we left there, but they would certainly be eaten by a fox or a badger. Your Mission Brief

I always knew people had misconceptions about wolves, but i never really realised how serious it was, until today. I was talking to a friend of

at school, and the conversation somehow moved onto wolves (as it tends to do when i'm around!) She seemed to strongly believe that wolves were horrible, vicious creatures, as you can imagine when i heard this i exploded with rage!

I asked her why and she kept saying "Because they are!" which is not a reason. After more persuasion, she said she thought that because wolves hunt things, which is perfectly natural!

Your Objective

Right, my friends! Join my army of wolves, and help me lift this belief and let people discover the truth of our canine friends!!! Of course, don't blame people for thinking wolves are evil, they only get this from stories in their childhood, when obviously they are too young to think for themselves! Little Red Riding Hood, The 3 Little Pigs and many other stories and fairy tales have forced people to believe that wolves are like this! This is what you need to change, i'm not saying its going to be easy, it'll be anything but that, but i think you can do this!

Things you can do:

- Tell people about wolves, ignorance is your enemy!
- Show them! Have friends who can't accept the truth? Take them on a trip, wolf sanctuaries are a great way to see the real wolf!

- ZOMG POSTERS!!!!!

Put posters up, around school and/or clubs!
- And you'll think of some more, you creative people, you!

Ugh! Back at school!

And i don't quite know whether thats good or bad....

Thought you guys should get to know me a bit better, so here's a few things about, the DA me!!!!

1. Prefer comments over favs
I hate it when people just fav my work! Don't worry if you do this i'm not having a go at you! But i'd rather someone comment than fav. Not those one or two word comments like "great" "awesome" "love it" that we get all the time. How about a comment that's had some thought put into it, like "Yeah its great, i especially love the way the fur turned out and the colors look really good! I think maybe you should have chosen a different color for the background because the character doesn't stand out that much, but otherwise, brilliant!

" A nice, constructive comment = Happy me!

2. Critisism... don't overdo it...
Generally, i like a bit of critisism! But remember, i'm not a brilliant artist (yet!

) so please don't suggest ridiculous improvements.

3.You scratch my back i... scratch yours?
Just because you fav everything in my gallery DOES NOT MEAN I WILL DO THE SAME!!!! Favs are a way of showing you like someone's work, and you have to be UNBIASED! Meaning, don't just fav your friend's work because they're your friend!

4. I like drawing other characters
As it says quite clearly at the top, i don't do requests. However, i love drawing chars that are not my own, so if i like you (or your char) i might just draw it anyway. But i'll tell you one thing: asking me for a request will guarentee, you don't ever get one!!!!

5. Trades?
Depends. Usually yes. If i've not got time or already have a ton of work, no.

6. Commissions?
Gladly! Though not those stupid fanart commissions like, "Hey, will you draw the chars from Naruto as wolves for me?" A commission is: you pay me, i draw your char. Simple.

7. No, i won't do something for nothing
I mean, i really hate it when people ask me for requests. Its like "Yeah OK, i'll waste my time on a picture for you while you sit on your arse and do nothing!" Souns fair? Nope.

8. Stop asking me about animes!
I wish people wouldn't ask me things like "Do you watch Naruto?" Thats what MSN is for and why i have my MSN address clearly stated on my page.

9. I'm not an "anything" artist!
I'm not a wolf/animal/people/anime/fanart/feline/realism artist! I don't know why people label themselves like that! Yes i currently draw wolves, but i shall be moving onto other things! I draw what i want!

And watch out! My fursona Akai will be getting a proper reference sheet soon!

I am trapped in my room!!!

And no, i'm not in trouble, my mom never sends me to my room as a punishment because i like being in my room... most of the time... No, i'm stuck in here for another reason. My parents are redecorating the hall, stairs and landing, which involves the electric sander. So in order to keep the dust out of the other rooms they've stuck plastic sheets over all the doors, therefore i cannot leave this room for the next couple of hours. I may go crazy before this is over.

Well my video is still not showing up on YouTube. Anyone else got a YouTube account? Is there something i'm doing wrong?

Putting that aside though i feel.... well a bit down, to say the least. You know that feeling you get sometimes when everything you try to do just goes wrong? And you just feel like "What's the point?" Even art doesn't cheer me up anymore, cause this feeling's getting to my art as well. Everytime i try to do some artwork, it goes wrong, looks crap and i'm not even enjoying doing it anyway!

So i'm just staying in my room for most of the days now, my parents keep telling me to go out and see friends, but i just don't feel like seeing anyone.

Anyway, i think only another artsit can understand what i'm going through now, and nobody i know in the real world are artists, so the only ones i can turn to are my friends here.

I don't know when i'll be doing art again, i'll try to carry on with some stuff i've already started, see if i can be inspired again. But for now no art, no ideas....

Hi again!

I just come back from rainy Wales, where i went to see family. There was soooo many peoples there

, nan, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, cousin's boyfriend.....etc. Of course it meant that my delightful 5 yr old cousin Oliver would be there. EDIT: note sarcasm. I hate that child with a passion you can only dream of.

But at least i got some more presents, mainly books and the new Sims 2 game!!!

OMG tomorrow is New Years eve!!!!

2008 is coming!!!! I'm not sure i want it to come, i have SAT's in May!!!!!!

Oh well, i'm sure there'll be lots of good to come with the New year. Out of interest, what are all you guys doing for New year? Having a party and getting pissed, or just chillin' with a few mates?

About 16, 17 ish. Just to see what its like to be a bit older and then if i don't like it, i can hide under a rock when i really hit that age! XD

I dunno, i didn't have many resolutions last year..... to be better at art, i got that!

I don't really believe in having a best friend, cos then you have to chose and people get stroppy if you don't pick them so then you just end up with no friends at all.

CONTEST

As you can see, by the large underlined letters, some things about the contest. I'm getting a little worried that people have forgotten, seeing as i have had no entries whatsoever. Zip. Zilch. Zero. So i've decided to extend the deadline to the 10th January, for those people that have short memories! XD. If i haven't had at least most of the entries by then, i'll just call it off.

TAROC

I'm not sure, but there might be some confusion over one of my characters, Taroc. You see, if you look in my gallery, the character Taroc appears as a blueish wolf with 2 tails. However if you read my story, Heartsong, the description of a char called Taroc is totally different! So some of you may be thinking "HUH?!"

Well, i did something pretty stupid. I created the two-tailed Taroc first, before i wrote Heartsong. Then, when i did write the story i completly forgot about this character, and created a new character called Taroc, which was different! Then i realised what i'd done and what a complete bonehead i'd been! It was one of those "D'oh!" moments.

So, to sort this confusion out i made an expert decision. The first Taroc i made, the blue two-tailed one, is to be Taroc in his spirit wolf form and the one described in Heartsong is his normal one. Well anyway, i'm glad i got that sorted!

CHRISTMAS!!!
