I hope to get a job so that I won't feel so bad spending money on movies and stuff (which I have been....). Btw, Wall-E is a great movie. loved it so much.

Question to my fellow RPers, do you still RP? I was flipping through my old sketchbooks (when I was supposed to be cleaning my room), and miss my old charries ...

Anyways. Our film called "The Elevator" won 3rd place in Narrative Comedy in the BC Student Film Festival!! Woots!

Still doesn't solve my dilemma concerning the future aspect of my life: "Post secondary applications". University? What major? Do I want to spend 5 years instead of 2 studying film production? Do I want to do film? What if I want to settle down and have the white picket fence and the whole shebang? Would people hire me? Would I be able to make the movies I really want to? Would I be able to make enough money? Should I do advertising instead, combining both business with arts. Choices, choices....

FILM CAMP was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Met so many awesome people who are so talented! Then we just spent 3 days making and watching movies! Our workshop leaders are just amazing and funny too! Definitely a worthwhile experience.

I half-watched Across the Universe. A really interesting movie. Really slow in the plot line though... Made me fall in love with the Beatles.

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before the winter break, our film class submitted some projects into the Powell River Film Festival and... WE WON! Our school won 4 out of 9 of the winners thingy ! Our group project and the class project won so now I'm really really excited for it! The cool thing is the winner get a scholarship to this film camp in the summer and I really want to go but only one person from the group can go and... yeah... =\!

I'm supposed to be studying my mandarin or math final which is coming this Thursday and Friday, but .... yeah.

If you're still wondering about the shirts, I bought the rock paper scissors one, and I've been wearing them like crazy. Such comfy materials and size.

That aside, CHRISTMAS IS COMING! So excited, been listening to jazzy Christmas songs, waiting for snow to come. It did snow yesterday, I hope it snows tonight. Christmas just gives me the nice, cozy, comfy, warm feeling.

I streaked my hair... a month ago. >_>. Just to let you know lol. Right now I can see the roots though, but I liked it. My hair's really dry and long now, I want to cut it short.. I hate maintaining long hair, but they do look nice on me .

Anyone heard about the writers strike? Big Companies' screen/script writers are on strike. They do deserve more money, but TV Shows have been halting their production now. The recent Heroes episode was sucky. The only good thing there was Adam (David Anders), even there, he was kinda ... weak. House was still awesome though. Hugh Laurie FTW!

Will post Christmas Art. I've always said to myself when a season is coming: "I'll do something seasonal!"... never happened... YET!

I really want to go to the States' Thanksgiving. mm.. black friday. Shopping.

Anyways. I found this really cool program from a local school of mine. Basically I'll be doing college and high school at the same time. I'm choosing the Baking and Pastry Arts though. It'll run from feb 08 til dec 08 from 1pm - 7 pm, Mon to Thrs. Mom and Dad are quite ... not as supportive. They're worried that I'll be really tired. Which is true, I will be. But I'm really excited to do this. I'll get 40 college credits in the end, gotta pay tuition and stuff; though my bro said it's cheaper than usual universities and all.

Turns out that program is qualified for this "ACE-IT" program we have here in B.C. Means ... I think the government is going to help me with financial stuff.

It is not the financial I'm worried about, it's.. my time/energy

Got back from the Retreat... it was so much fun. I was just reminded to go back to basic; loving God and have a relationship with Him. Which is so true. I need to get addicted with prayer. The pastor is a prophet. I got prophesied (bear in mind, point form):

use her creativity; will be busy with little projects
not going to sit in an office - always out of the house (woot!)
know how to take care of yourself
never try to dominate some other people
a manager trapped/stuck in a young girl's body (lol)
will not work in an office - work with projects
many years ahead, there will be opportunities to go to Europe for business (yeah..! )
He will set things right & straight for you
cause her to excel in all she does (God's enablement)

The services were the best part (to all those who missed it, I went to a camp in stanwood, Washington. It was held by the youth group of the church called Generation Church). Oh wow.. $210 was so worth the presence of God and the life changing and the falling in love with the greatest ever... It was just AWESOME!

On the first night, I really feel like God was there.. so I said in my heart "I want to see You, God.. I don't care if I'll have to stop playing World of Warcraft, or reading some of the mangas I'm reading right now, or even not being liked by my friends because I can't stop talking about You." And right after that, God said in my heart "Finally, you've come and you're ready to give up everything for me." Then I cried. I bawled my eyes out.. I'd give up everything for that moment again.. no. I'll give up everything to see God. Oh.. it was just.. awesome. I really wish that you guys would be there and really feel it. Indescribable experience.

I can't wait until I go to church and I don't know.. just can't wait to worship.. At the camp, when we sing praise and worship. it was just like awesome! For God..! The songs were pretty much rock. So during the praise, it was like a mosh pit...! Everyone pushes everyone. Everyone jumps up and down with arms in the air. When it comes to worship, everyone also puts their hands up and just worship.. aWesome..!

Just as everyone said, the books are so much better than the movies.. (Though I must say, the reason I love the movies is due to the Phelps twins).. and well, moving pictures are always magical..

I'll say it's one of their best movies ever made. It was hilarious and the plot.. even though it's slightly silly (well, what can you do it's cartoons) but it's very reasonable.

Remy the mouse is just adorable.. With a really cute expression that makes you just want to hug and squeeze him.

Live Free, Die Hard:
I don't usually like action movies.. but I watched it because it's Bruce Willis.. <3..

As usual, the plot in action movies are always exaggerated and doesn't make much sense. But the action was good... I liked how the terrorists are attacking too. The script was exhilarating. Really funny action movie.

I saw spidey 3 on Saturday. Overall, I found it too rushed... spent too much time developing the plot, not enough time to finish it at the best.
Two words that made me want to see the movie: Topher Grace.
He was the best in the movie... it's like:
Topher Grace > everybody else

So dad got his camera. Panasonic LImux or something like that.. I don't know technical stuff.. which is ironic since I want to be a photographer.

I still have my photoshop uninstalled. Yet I have this one amazing sketch I want to colour and show off.

Not complaining. Love it.

During spring break I went down to Kirkland, Washington for a church conference... it's not my church, but yeah. The Generation Conference by Generation Church (City Church's youth section). It was awesome. I can already see myself changing and better. I was moody and very uh, sad. I'm trying my best to be happy and full of love everyday (though I'm still sarcastic). I learned that:

1. We should do what God told us to do because we want to, not because we have to.
2. God disciplining us should be like how a father disciplines his children.
3. GOD RULES!

We just finished our skit for our Romeo and Juliet presentation. I say we did excellent.

The socials teacher issue thing is better I think. Right now I'm trying to see the positive side of her, not being prejudice and keep that image.

Haven't been doing much artwork... Computer just got formatted, don't have Photoshop. Sad

I dislike my socials class right now. They eliminated honours classes for socials for a reason I think is ridiculous. My teacher right now, she's being pushedover by the class, and she doesn't really teach nor explain the textbook; but she gives out assignment and mark extra hard. I was shocked to find myself standing in a 78%. I want to switch out so bad. Can't stand the class, nor the way of teaching. Spent 1.5 months on one chapter, crazy. She pushed due dates back, back, and back...

I just don't want her to be my teacher, and I want honours classes back!

Semester 2 has started for a week now. I think I'll get through semester two fully alive, unlike semester one. School's been great, for now. Bring it on, curriculums!

Going to slow-move. Our family bought this new apartment, of which has finished built (weird grammar, but you get it)... It looks so.. neat <3. Can't wait to move in there. Mom's been trying to convince me to switch schools, but I don't wanna. It's only like 2 buses away.

Well, a couple of days ago I was waiting for the bus. And for some unknown reason the nursery song "I'm a little teapot, short and stout. Here is my handle and here is my spout." was stuck in my head. After the line "short and stout".... I soon realize that I'M A LITTLE TEAPOT! I'm short and stout... ;_;!!!! O_O! This sudden realization strucked me and I was.. shocked!

Tip for everyone who are planning to have kids in the future:
Don't make them sing that song! It's a prophetic song! Unless you want your kids to be short and stout.

I actually did a pretty cute chibi of me dressing up as a carebear. But I forgot to scan it and now it's all folded into a paper fan with Mandarin characters written on it.. D:! But it still looks cute : D

Which brought me to this topic, what are you going to dress up as Halloween? (if you are planning to)
My friends and I are planning to be care bears (it'll be so cute >.<! but I do'nt know how the costume will be O_o

Right now I'm so into Hillsong United's worship songs (ever heard of them, matt?). I saw their dvd and it's awesome.. O_O. So professional. The DVD itself was awesomely made! Their 2nd last album's design was so cool that I brought it to the yearbook design team and showed them how I really want the yearbook to look like. It's like this grunge look with grafitti, polaroids, paints, etc. So cool.. O_O..

Yearbook has been fun. We finally got a theme! It's a secret of course. mwahahaha..
We're using this program called InDesign. Kind of confusing at first, but I'm getting used to it... It's actually really cool.

School is hectic. Teachers gave unreasonable time for projects. Our planning teacher made us "decorate" a porfolio folder (for her keeping sake) collage style. She gave the assignment to us on Monday morning, and it's due on Wed morning. Other classes got the long weekend to do it!! It was stressful..

Mandarin is fun. The teacher isn't scary. She's actually nice. We're going to have a party on Friday since it's the Moon Festival day. ho ho ho

I got a job at the Flying Wedge Pizza! It's kinda fun. I get to make pizzas! The tiring part is cleaning. But it's okay. I get to burn calories and eat pizza! Though now I'm kinda sick of the mozarella smell. The people there are really nice

I'm stuck with John Mayer's songs right now.. he he.

I made new friens this year..! For some reason right now I want to ditch Asian community T_T' and be white-washed. The reason why is that I don't like the nature of talking about your own friends badly behind their backs. It's just pissing me off. But I'm stuck.

It's 10:31 pm and I'm supposed to be getting ready to sleep because I have to wake up relatively early tomorrow. Today was our first day of classes. It was okay. I.. don't really like my classes though. The best class was my science.. 'cause most of my friends are there. But the rest.. meh.

My P.E. class is okay... I can live through my P.E. class. The teacher seemed nice, but she's new to the school. So we'll see...

Science class was fun. My friends were all there.. so happy. The teacher's nice too, I heard from gr. 11 sempais who got her last year.

Mandarin... I took the gr 9 course because I didn't take any language last year. I kinda regret picking Mandarin.. It's not about Dr. Tang. She's surprisingly nice if you're reasonable with her. Just make a good first impression and respect her and I she'll be nice to you. But the draw back in this class are my classmates. They're all grade 9s. Not because I don't like grade 9s, but it's just... weird. o_O. Also one of them was so annoying. He was like acting .. ugh. so annoying. It was like this:

Teacher: "Tell me your name, why you join this class and what is your expectation"

Guy: "My name is . I chose Mandarin because I don't want to learn another language because I think it's a waste of time...."

Teacher: "So you already know mandarin?"

Guy: "Yeah."

Teacher: "Where are you from?"

Guy:"Taiwan."

Teacher: "When did you come here?"

Guy: "A long time ago."

Teacher: "How long time ago? 10 years? 8?"

Guy: "Yeah.. 10 years probably."

Teacher: "What is your expectation?"

Guy: "I don't know. I don't have any expectations. Whatever I guess."

Teacher: "You don't have any expectations? How are you going to work then?"

Guy: "I don't know.. C I guess."

So that was the scene. I was so mad at that guy! Most of us there were trying to learn. I don't like his attitude..!! O_O.. He was talking to the teacher with no respect.! GRRRR....!! But I say he's going to be dead throughout the semester... >.>

Math! I had the same teacher as last year. For some reason I think my brain was easy.. I'm happy with the teacher though. He taught us basic gr 10 stuff in gr 9, so I'm kinda ahead. I don't really like the class though..

Phew.. rants of my first day of class...Can't wait..

First Day of School was today. All we did was going to school, pay our fees, get our schedules and planner. (btw, I designed the cover. I'll post it).

Today was good... even though it was frustrating but it was good! I tried my best not to complain !

You see, the bus was supposed to come at 12:48 pm, it came. But it was full! So there were me, and 4 other people. We were like "Oh well, we'll just wait for the next one and it'll only be 30 min late..". But the bus didn't come!!! O_O!!!! So we were sitting down, talking.. and it's a good thing! Since I didn't know those guys before! Well then the bus came. But we were 1 hour late. but my homeroom teacher didnt' care.. oh well.

Then I had an appointment for my counsellor at 2:50 pm. Well, I went there.. and waited... for 2 hours. Turned out the counsellor I was waiting for went to a staff meeting and disappeared o_O. So I went to another one. I got my Mandarin, but a gr 9 mandarin. oh well. But I didn't get Photo 11.. though I get to keep my Digital Media (3d animation). Heard from a friend that the teacher is awesome. So I'll keep it ^^'

While waiting, I got a call from Flying Wedge Pizza for an interview. It was for today at 6. Really fast o_O. So as soon as I was done with my school stuff (around 5ish). I went down to wait for the bus. It was late. But good thing it was late. Since I got on the wrong bus, and soon realized it's the wrong one. pulled the wire thing and walked over to the right stop.

I got the job~! So you canadians, visit me at Flying Wedge near Coquitlam Centre!!

All is good. Kept my joyous mood!

1) My style is like shoujo mangas... so lots of bishies.

2) I can't draw hands.. that's why most of them are wearing baggy long sleeved shirts or their pose are hiding their hands.

Hey guys!
(it's going to be a long journal. If you're bored and got nothing to do, you're more than welcome to read the whole thing)

Been a long time since I updated my journal (except for the tagged one). So here are a few updates on my life:

1. Got a job.
2. @ work place.

1. Got a Job
A month and a quarter ago, my friend and I dropped 13 resumes all over the place. I got called back by this job. Basically a government-funded organization hired a bunch of youth to become interns just for the summer. Then they put us to small sites with public-access computer labs.

The best part of this job is that I get to learn and I'm getting paid for learning. We have these bi-weekly meeting where all of the interns meet. Then we have workshops on computer stuff such as hardware, HTML, networking, etc.

The interns are fun. They're all very interesting and weird in their own way... =3

2. @ work place
The place they assigned me is basically a neighbourhood house where people can just come in and follow-up in their programs and stuff. The computer lab is mostly used for job-searching by the community.

My role here is the computer lab coordinator. But then the people at my job site give me jobs to do (such as posters, brochures, programs booklet). I don't mind doing posters and brochures. But I don't like doing booklets. They're just.. too much information and data needed. But to do those, I need photoshop. And the computers here... are windows 98 and I doubt they can run photoshop as effective as I want them to be. So basically I do my work at home and I don't do anything much at my job site.

3. I hate buses
To reach my work place, I have to take 2 buses and it takes roughly and hour to reach my work place. I don't like it. It's tiring....

Let me tell you guys something... buses are EVIL. THEY ARE ENERGY-SUCKING VAMPIRES!! EVEN THOUGH YOU JUST SIT THERE LISTENING TO YOUR SONGS OR READING A BOOK, THEY DRAIIINNN YOUUU!!!

Plus, the schedules of the two buses aren't very synchronized. So sometimes I have to wait 30 minutes just to wait for the next bus to come.. and it's not fun.

4. Artist Block
Some of you may have noticed that lately I've been submitting photographs and not drawings. Well, I'm trying to use Open Canvas.. but I can't. I mean my drawings turned out ugly .. I can't colour! *sobs* TT____TT

Though I do enjoy the photographs <3

5. Photos are Fun
What..? They are! Camera + Photoshop = FUN !

6. Need a Break
Due to work, everyday I always come home tired, moody and sleepy. And I want to do a lot of things! I need to lose 10 pounds, buy a new Bible, buy a new sketchbook, check out what's new on Chapters, shop for new clothes, hang out with pals. I want to have some fun..!! T__________T

Therefore I'm taking this friday off.

7. Waiting for Letter from School
Ya, they say they're gonna send one about my courses. I need it so I can change my language. I wanna take Intro to Mandarin 11....~~
And I wanna know who my teachers will be. o_O *crosses fingers and hope for NOT johal*
