As I looked back upon my journal entries i realized that I used to at least be attempting to be interesting,so I will do my best to sum up what has been going on for the last year and a half.

2 quick highlight:

One of my smallest bantam hens had raised a white peacock, and then at about a year old the white peacock disappeared into the woods for a week, came back, and died.

I purchased an R-com incubator(the big one), it's all digital.

Now for the interesting( I hope) stuff.

After the attack on my Amherst pheasant things went relatively smoothly, the winter passed without anything terribly exciting happening, and then spring rolled around.
In April I constructed an A frame type pen that would have the same floor space as my larger pheasant pens, but save materials costs by having the roof be the walls. The construction went very well and I installed my pair of Mountain Quail into the pen. Unfortunately a little while later I awoke to find one of the Quail dead, its legs and chunks of its breast ripped through the floor( I am using 1/2 inch by 1inch aperture wire to avoid this) by what I determined was a coon. I then attempted to eliminate said coon, but was unable to, however the coon left and caused no further damage. Despite the departure of the coon I was concerned, All my other birds had been fine, but being pheasants they roost on perches I have installed in their pens thus keeping them far from the floor, the mountain quail in my experience did not perch and this left them vulnerable. not wanting to leave the quail in the a frame pen which was a little lower than the pheasant cages (though not by much) I decided to move the remaining mountain quail into the pen with my yellow golden pheasants. Quail have gotten along with pheasants very well as long as neither outnumber each other, and i was pleased to see the pheasants pay the quail no mind. Then shortly after-wards I noticed t hat the Mountain quail was roosting on the perch right next to the pheasants, and looked as happy as a bird capable of looking, so in the future I will install perches in my quail cages.
From there came the problem of what to do with my hybrid pheasants, I found that it is not immoral to sell them as long as you clearly mark the boxes,(I watched it happen at auction and the birds went for a good price) but it so happened that the ones I had were very pretty birds, and was loathe to part with them; so I decided to let them run outside like chickens. And it was great, the ruffed pheasants perch in trees so that they avoid predators, and they look great running about the yard to boot. After that the summer was uneventful as far as I remember, but then during the fall I was able to purchase a high quality Amherst male.
Winter passed, and this spring started to roll around, I am determined to make headway in this journey to start a farm, so I ordered 50 coturnix quail through the mail. When I received them it was very funny, fifty quail chicks come in a box the size of a shoe box, and they still have lots of room. From there coturnix mature in eight weeks so they soon were moved to their final homes. However, only a few days after I installed the birds into their homes, I found a coturnix with its legs pulled through the floor, dead; the coon was back. And as before I was unable to eliminate the coon, so instead I fortified the cage and was able to once again end the threat.

And that brings us up to now (though I know I have left things out); I am now designing inserts for my quail egg cartons, and am hoping to be able to sell some quail eggs this year.

Star Trek is jaw droppingly awesome, managing to be gift to trekkies, accessible to non trekkies and have a great story to boot; and then ther is UP. UP is amazing, Pixar has outdone themselves in a big way, the movie is great for kids, but the story is for adults, and for any children who can grasp adult stories. the themes it touches on are deep, and I am so pleased that in this day and age you can have a PG film that has such amazing quality of writing, Pixar should be studied and emulated by others in my opinion. I mean just think if the transformers movies were pg, I mean The wrath of Kahn was pg and it featured swearing and blood, what it did not have was urine jokes, scads of sex jokes, and nearly liberated megan fox breasts. If only transformers could be like this (it might still have to be pg-13 because of the amazing robot fights) I would be able to watch it and go "that was truly epic!" instead I watch them and get the feeling that our race is doomed, only wishing to revel in sex, poor humor and explosions, why can we not instead save sex for marriage, write good humor and then have explosions go along with it.

*sigh* (previously whiny remark here)

But I leave you with this snippet of script from the original japanese of Pokemon the first movie:

Head Scientist: We have succeeded! This is birth of Mewtwo.

Mewtwo: Mew...two...?

Head Scientist: Yes, that's what you are. In this world the supreme Pokemon is mew. [points to a stone plaque on the wall of the research complex.] You were produced from this creature.

Mewtwo: [Looks over at the picture of mew] Then, is mew my father, or my mother?
Head Scientist: No, you do not understand. You have no parents.

Mewtwo: !? But... I was made? For whom? If I have no father or mother, then...by God? Do I exist because of the will of God?

Head Scientist: It is one of mankind's greatest achievements to be able to create an entirely new lifeform.

Mewtwo: ...I am here because of the acts of humans...

Various Scientists: Doctor! It is a grand success! What a stunning scientific victory! We have created a new intelligent life form through cloning. Congratulations!
[the shot switches from the scientists, to Mewtwo looking down at his hands.]
Mewtwo: ...they have brought me here... A human created this body. I was born for no reason... [clenches his hands]

The writers at SEGA (and Archie it would seem) have this misconception that that for Shadow to be awesome he must constantly be in the depths of despair, where this idea came from I will never know. In SA2 Shadow's underlying drive was a promise to his dearest friend, and while during the course of the game he was sad he rarely showed it, for the most part he was either taunting or commending Sonic, threatening people who got in his way, calmly stating things or being quiet. At no point did he look around him and break down into some decidedly pathetic soliloquy about how he didn't know who he was or what his purpose was, heck, when faced with the possibilities of his purpose being imaginary he didn't just sit down and go "what if everything I know is wrong? why should I go on?" no, he said that it didn't matter if his memories were false, in his mind he had made a promise to someone and he would fulfill that promise at all costs. Shadow was a great character because he was faithful to Maria and not bogged down by many by misery, and he only got better after he realized that he had been brining about the opposite of what he had promised and defied all odds and himself to fulfill his true purpose. That Shadow at the end of SA2, the one that was still a cold, focused and determined, but willing to protect the planet and it's inhabitants for the sake of friend to the very death, that was the Shadow I thought was coming back when I first saw the artwork for Sonic heroes, sadly it was not the case. The Shadow I had admired had become some emo "shadow" of himself, then, when I first saw the cg trailer for Shadow the Hedgehog featuring Maria and the ARK I thought they would use that game to bring back the Shadow from the end of SA2, instead they stripped him of his purpose and any remaining joy he had in protecting the world for Maria, and left him this empty, nearly emotionless shell that showed up in Sonic 06. the old attitude was back in a way, but it lacked the bit of arrogance that rounded out the cold icy Shadow, but most of all it lacked the drive that made it worthwhile. In StH 06 Shadow seems to work for the military because he has nothing else to do, and protecting the planet is something he feels obligated to do because he is so powerful. Gone is glint of determination to save lives in honor of his friend, instead it is replaced by an attitude of "well I saved the planet four times, it seems counter productive to try and destroy it".

Stupid morons, at least there are a few good fanfiction writers who have realized how Shadow should be, sometimes I think that they could have done a better job than whoever penned "Shadow the Hedgehog" and "Human Kissing"

[link]

The Uncut Story of Mewtwo’s Origin

"The devious leader of Team Rocket Organization, Giovanni, has a fervent ambition to take control of the Pokémon world through both financial and military means. To achieve his military needs he covets a Pokémon stronger and more adept than any other, a veritable living war weapon, so he enlists a scientist named Doctor Fuji to create this being from the DNA of the rarest and most powerful of Pokémon, Mew, which Fuji had found on a previous expedition in a jungle shrine to Mew. Fuji accepts, for he is heavily into the prospect of cloning to create and restore life itself, in the interest of bringing back his daughter, Amber, who had tragically lost her life in an accident of some sort. But rather than being broken like his wife, Fuji figured he could make a new clone of Amber, and was already in the process of attempting to grow a clone of Amber in his offshore laboratory, but his wife, as much as she loved their daughter, could not bear to see Fuji’s misguided drive to tinker with life, and thus she parted with him for good. Fuji then received the order from Giovanni to commence the Mew cloning project, and that he did simultaneously with his own Amber cloning project.

A while passes, and a now physical, but young, Mewtwo rests in an unconscious slumber of development inside a containment cell, next to a cell containing the glowing conscience of a cloned Amber. Mewtwo stirs in mind and begins to communicate with the artificial conscience of Ambertwo in a plane of limbo, and the two entities grow a personal bond. This exchange is tragically short-lived, however, as the inability of human science to recreate the human soul catches up with the project, and Ambertwo’s conscious fades into the darkness forever, but she leaves the traumatized Mewtwo with the advice that life is wonderful, and to be alive is the greatest gift he has. Mewtwo, confused by her departure, succumbs to grief and desperately calls out for Amber telepathically, and his brainwaves nearly overload the lab’s systems. Fuji immediately administers a hundred doses of serum, forcing Mewtwo to be subdued into an artificial state of calmness and ignorance of what just transpired. Fuji, emotionally broken by the now permanent loss of his daughter, is now intent on ensuring that Mewtwo, his brainchild, survives.

Alone in the darkness, and unaware of whatever he apparently lost, Mewtwo develops in size and power, tormented in sleep by a single, cryptic question: "Life is wonderful… but why?"

This torment continues until he asks another question to himself: Where am I? And with this question he breaks free of his tank but upon learning of the selfish intentions of the scientists and how little they care for him, he destroys the lab and everything in it."

Still not as cool as Shadow though.

I have finished both out of the silent planet and Perelandra, and will soon finish that hideous strength. This trilogy is amazing, my own words would, most certainly fail to do it justice; as usual the images that Mr. Lewis paints with his words is so vivid and so clear it is as though you are there throughout the entire story.

This also brings up a rather bothersome thing to me; as you may or may not have guessed from the nearly absurd amount of Netraptor fanfiction related art I have posted, I greatly enjoy being able to take the images of the stories I read and enjoy and place them upon paper, thus having a tangible copy of that which I find so inspiring. Now in the case of Netraptor fanfiction, I, for better or for worse, have spent a rather great amount of time drawing Sonic characters and thus (I will assume) have become somewhat skilled in the drawing thereof. This means that when I wish to put down the images of the things I read in those stories I am rather confident that they will come out well, and thus make me happy, (hopefully) please the author of said stories and do them honor and also find favor with others that look at them as they sail the expanse of art that is deviantART. The problem with the Mr Lewis' trilogy is that I have yet to determine how I can put the images in my mind down and have them come out in such a way that I will be happy with; whether through lack of skill or just that annoying inability to put what is in the minds eye down on paper, It is at the moment an impossibility. Despite the fact that Mr. Lewis has long since passed I (and had he not I doubt whether he would be looking at any pictures I had drawn anyway) I still wish that the images I formulate will come close to what he saw in his own mind while writing, thus making it that so any such pictures I would draw should not offend other fans of his work by being so unlike the general images that are consistently conveyed in such a story that they come across as blasphemous, and that so I myself am pleased with the finished result.

Despite my current setbacks however, one day I intend to attempt putting some of the trilogy down on paper; hopefully when the time comes it will not disappoint. And now you should go and read all three books: Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength. And then you should read the Screwtape Letters.

On another note I saw an interesting animation about Shadow stealing christmas which featured the best Maria voice ever, better than even the games; and Brawl is now only a month and a half away.

I awoke this morning and reread my journal from yesterday, and looked at the picture, and then I had to have a good long laugh at myself. Why you may ask? because the journal basically says "Why does this unfinished picture look like an unfinished picture?" I cannot believe I had to ask you guys what was wrong with an unfinished picture for me to figure out that what is wrong with it is that it is UNFINISHED! And I have to thank you guys for putting it so kindly; I can see you all reading my journal and saying to yourselves "well, you just have to finish it." and wondering if there is something very wrong with me. But you instead very gently nudged me in the right direction, and for that you I will thank you guys by uploading a picture of Shadow pwning Solaris .

While keeping silkie chickens I have had to deal with a problem involving finding chickens totally healthy except for the fact that their heads are know twisted to the side. They can still eat and drink and breath, yet their neck is now bent. This bothersome thing has troubled me, it has happened relatively often (twice in one year) and since no other birds have exhibited this symptom I determined it could not be disease or vitamin deficiency. SO, to the mighty internets I went searching for knowledge, and after a bit I found the answer. Silkies have a trait called a vaulted skull, this means that Silkies have a hole in the top of their skulls and their brain bulges out just a bit (yet under the skin of course). This means that Silkies are susceptible to brain injury from relatively light head trauma, this means of course that what a normal bird with its brain fully protected could take easily, a silkie may suffer from twisted neck or other similar problems, or in some cases death. With this knowledge I now know that you must be careful to avoid head trauma with silkies, which means to a reasonable degree you should avoid putting silkies in a position where they may be tempted to trample on each others heads (such as letting broody hens stay in a flock). Hopefully armed with this knowledge I will be able to cut down on the frequency of these incidents, thus keeping a healthier flock.

So 2007 has almost expired already and I have said nothing about my growing Bird venture, so here, right now, is the report.

(grammar errors may abound, I did not feel like proof reading)

The weather was weird to begin with, warm weather took its sweet time coming and the birds did not start laying eggs until a month later than usual. Because of this my entire breeding and hatching schedule was thrown off and would lead to hi-jinks later on; however I am getting ahead of myself.
Once the birds started to lay the first order of business was to hatch some guineas, a friend had requested some and so once one of my bantam chicken hens went broody I gave her a clutch to sit; a month later the hatch came about without problems and the brood was perfectly healthy, the guineas were then transfered to their new owner and I was left to concentrate on my other hen that had just gone broody. the Hen that had gone broody was a Modern Old English bantam, and she was sitting on five or six eggs, around the same time she went broody one of my pheasant hens went broody with a clutch also, and then to top it off my valley quail started laying eggs. Now in the situation I was faced with out of the three kinds of birds the valley quail are the most valuable, under other circumstances the pheasants might have been of equal or greater value but my setup was two different breeds of hens with one type of male meaning that their eggs would be hybrids, which makes it immoral to sell them. So faced with the broody (chicken) picture i had i made up a splendid plan based on things that have worked before. the plan was to switch the hybrid pheasant eggs out with the Modern game hen eggs, throw the hybrids out and put Quail eggs under the Modern game hen, unfortunately one thing would go awry, and it was timing. By my calculations the pheasant eggs would still be a week or so from hatching (if they would hatch at all, the hen was a little careless at times) when I did the switch therefore making it no problem to get rid of them, however on the night of the switch i was just getting ready to throw the pheasant eggs out into the field when I was stopped dead by a tiny little noise from the egg in my hand, the peep and then the scratch of the egg tooth; the pheasants were hatching right then! Now you would think that you could just pop the eggs back under the pheasant and be done with it, unfortunately that is not the case; you see three days before the of any bird eggs hatch the hen stops turning them that so the chicks inside can maneuver into position to hatch. Since I had not marked what side of the egg was up when I removed them from the nest I had no way of knowing what side would need to be up when I put them back in the nest, the only possible way I could think of to save the chicks would be to plop them in an incubator and watch to see what side the chicks pipped and then adjust the eggs accordingly. The only problem with this plan is that My only incubator was a rather old forced air that did not hold humidity very well, and humidity is very important during the hatch, however since it was my only choice I would just have to make it work. So in the eggs went and my vigil began, to make this story shorter I will suffice to say that I managed to save three of the four eggs that were hatching that night, despite the all the efforts made by the incubator to stop me. In the morning I went outside to check on the Modern game hen and the pheasant as well as to set up a brooder for the pheasant chicks, but when I got out there I was greeted by further annoyance. While the pheasant hen had taken the new eggs just fine, th modern hen had refused to sit on the quail eggs and now refused to even go near the nest despite all my coaxing, this meant that all the trouble I had caused my the previous night had been in vain, I should have left everything where it was; bloody chicken.

But all hope was not lost, a few weeks later one of my tried and true broody hens came to my rescue and to her I bequeathed a clutch of ten Valley quail eggs. Then a few days after that my other pheasant hen went broody and I wisely chose to let her take care of her own eggs, if she hatched her hybrid children I would find some use for them. After the alloted time the Quail hatched and it was a perfectly healthy brood, just what I needed; then a few days later the pheasants hatched and the mother took them proudly about the cage. I needed only to provide food and water and she took care of the rest; which was a good thing seeing as the quail and their mother would give me trouble. The reason being that when the quail were a few weeks old I awoke to find the mother chicken leading my valley quail across the yard. Needless to say that seeing potential profit wondering about freely in the yard where at any moment it could be eaten by hawks or dogs was not a soothing thing, so with all haste i grabbed a few family m...

So there is this story that I am reading right now that is being updated chapter by chapter, and the suspense would be bad enough WITH OUGHT the fact that I sometimes wait with baited breath for days between chapters. You see the way I usually read a book or books is to start them and not do anything else if possible until I finish it. So having to wait to read about a pivotal event that just happened in the chapter today has been torturous, but it was worth the wait. The event was described very concisely, but the few short paragraphs allows you to see the event in great clarity, and it does not disappoint. I will say that I was somewhat concerned about how the event would be described, as one of the subjects involved defies description. But there was no reason to fear, it was handled wonderfully and was entirely satisfying.

Good lord I like this story arc, one day I will print all of it out, bind it together, and keep it on my shelf.

It is being updated slowly mind you, but it is worth it.

Secondly a really easy way of making some really tasty and healthy Lemon soda is this:

1) go buy some lemon juice concentrate and some seltzer water.

2) pour seltzer water into glass and add concentrate to taste (you may also add sugar if you so wish, but is unnecessary)

And there you have a healthy glass of lemon soda.

The two darker pictures are sort of odd, I believe that both pictures are good, but they are both rather depressing. However both serve a purpose therefore I will most likely post them. Let me say that reading a story can conjure up some very, vivid, mind pictures.

Let me start with a healthy snack, take one cup apple cider vinegar and put it into a food processor. Then put cabbage to taste into food processor and blend until coleslaw-ish, this will make sour goodness. You can also add apples to the mix for even more tasty-ness. For snacking I love nothing more than peeled limes and lemons, prodigious amounts of pickled fruit and vegetables, and to top it off a chaser of vinegar.

Needless to say I love Citrus, and I love sour.

Which brings us to my point, California was hit with a horrible freeze, though looking from the outside in depending on where you live it may not seem that bad, but to a Citrus tree 40 is friggin' cold, and 28? that is antarctic instant death for my beloved fruit. So I now declare a citrus emergency, and suggest that everyone in California buy heaters.

First I would like to say sorry for the lack of updates over the past weeks, I have been busy building various cages and pens for my birds, and just not have felt like taking the time to sit down and really do any heavy work on the computer while it has been beautiful outside. Therefore most of my extended time on the computer is late at night, and I am usually tired enough that I do not focus clearly and do not attempt anything that requires a great amount of mental energy, lest it come out unintelligible.

But the time has come for an update and here I would like to discuss a description of Dinosaurs in the Bible, which I think is fascinating. In Job, starting in verse 15 of Chapter forty, and continuing through chapter forty-one are two descriptions of Dinosaurs being pointed out by God to Job. (The chapter and a half is at the bottom of this journal for quick reference if you want) Any way first we have a typical large dinosaur described, and then we have a water dwelling one that goes by the name Leviathan, that aside from sounding quite nasty is described as having the ability to spout flame. Just for laughs we could speculate that this thing might still be alive, just living in the unexplored depths of the Ocean.(for more in depth stuff go here: [link] ) This also puts the dinosaurs in a time frame, and makes it clear that God made them. (I would like to recall and nullify my earlier theory on Dinosaurs if by any chance you have read it; it is somewhere else on DA) Also, it ratchets the awesome-ness of Ye old mega lizards by a great amount, especially since it seems as though Dinosaurs and Dragons may be the same thing.

So for now think on that!

Job 40:15-41:34
Job 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Job 40:16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
Job 40:18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
Job 40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
Job 40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
Job 40:21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
Job 40:22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
Job 40:23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
Job 40:24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

Job 41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
Job 41:2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
Job 41:3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
Job 41:4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
Job 41:5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
Job 41:6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
Job 41:7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
Job 41:8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
Job 41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
Job 41:10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
Job 41:11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.
Job 41:12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
Job 41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?
Job 41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
Job 41:15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
Job 41:16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
Job 41:17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
Job 41:18 By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
Job 41:19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
Job 41:20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
Job 41:21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.
Job 41:22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
On a slightly related note you can destroy artificial Chaos with Maria, all you have to do is jump at them, somewhat odd I think. You cannot pick up or use weapons with Maria, for the sake of image, but I would think that even Maria would be trained in self defense with the weapons available on ARK in case of an outbreak of a dangerous experiment, plus that would make a cool picture me thinks to have Shadow and Maria laying waste to some crazed bio-critter loose on the ARK.
The amount of acceptable indecency and lewdness is amazing. Looking at the headlines on DA yesterday I saw "Natural and artificial, MATURE CONTENT!, now I cannot fault them, they put up a warning. But it is just, so, nasty. Instead of trying to actually trying to make an attractive women artfully, all anyone can seem to do anymore is pander to fleshly lusts. First off it's sad that people cannot or will not take the time to actually try to make art, instead they just make up something erotic. And secondly the things that have become acceptable, Like the anthro on the front page of DA with the tight tiny top, and the short shorts, both of which are acceptable in today's culture, but are still when you think about it is just another form of; "look at the skin!". Of course while people are satisfying fantasies in the name of "art" you have, well, women parading around showing of their bodies in ways that really ought to be saved for their husbands, and if too young to have husbands, ehhhhhhhhh........................................ It would be nice to see people at least try to make a lady fully clothed, so that the front page of DA would not always be full of pictures of scantily clad women.....

I really was not impressed when I found out the history of the commander, it doesn't fit and it feels very much like some kind of lie to give the Commander a reason to kill Shadow..... So I reject Sega's reality and substitute my own!

First bump the commander's age to some where around 69-70 (which by all means he could be that old) which would have made him 18+ back at the time of The Doom, meaning that he would have been the prime age to be an up and coming young soldier in the G.U.N. army out to prove himself. So my theory is this; The Commander is the one who gunned down Maria. (Shadow would not have seen his face, he was wearing some kind of optical gear) and In later years the image of her death and the implications of how corrupt that operation was slowly began to tear at his mind, so he needed an excuse to rid himself of the guilt, so who better to lay it on than the only living reminder of what he had done and the very life he had shattered? Shadow could be the villain, then if given the chance the commander could remove the last thing that so painfully reminded him of what he had done. So the commander fabricated a story that would work just fine for his purposes, and as he told that story to himself over and over he began to believe it himself, and so it went on until he had almost totally replaced what really happened with his own story. And then fate placed Shadow perfectly in his hands.....
So what do you think?

And in other news, Trying to take good photographs of a Timber-doodle (American Woodcock) is $#&* hard! despite the fact they do not mind the camera flash, Spotlight, or flashlight, they do mind you trying to walk up to them to get a picture; they immediately start cruising with their short little legs whuupp-buuming to themselves wondering what the darn sun is doing following them at night when it should be dark and prime for attracting a mate. But despite this it's alot of fun to watch them, or challenge their IQ's of 1 in a battle of man vs. dumpy lil' bird.

Also it is know only a month and a few days before spring Turkey season. It is so beautiful to be sitting in the woods in spring, you get to watch field mice, see all kinds of critters (I saw a sand-hill crane last year, it was so high up it just looked like a flying board, but man was it loud!) and you might even be able to bag yourself a great big Tom turkey.

When my nurse went to put my I.V. in the first time it would not go into either of the veins that had been chosen, so after prodding for a minute or two with the needle, she called up the rescource nurse to try; the rescouce nurse nailed it, and I was on my way. The nintendo revolution continues to remain shrouded in more mistery than Nessie it's self, the lack of details is astounding given the amount of gaming news sites out there and even the rumor mills have yielded very little. This is though doing exactley what Nintendo wants, breeding rabid curiosity that so even people who do not care that much about nintendo are drawn by it's secrecy.
In other news WoodDucks will soon be decked out once again in their beautiful breeding plumage, fresh from the summer molt, quite a sight to behold if you can find one!

A pair of WoodDucks are nesting in a woodduck box I fixed up in the woods across from my house, So I went out to try and get some pictures. When I got to the pond the male flew away but the female stayed in the box, so I walked over and stuck the camera into the hole and was greeted by a hiss and something attacking the camera. Now the problem with boxes is that sometimes a small Racoon can sometimes squeeze into a box, so the hissing could have been realllly bad. So after a second I managed to snap a picture of the inside of the box withought sticking my hand in, and when I looked at it I saw the tail feathers of a mother woodduck. So upon learning that, I stuck my camera in and took several pictures of the mother duck on her nest, because woodducks aren't going to hurt you.
So now I have a couple good pictures of a Female woodduck that I am going to try and post.

The new Shadow game looks really cool, but I do have to admit that the gun seems wierd, though that doesn't mean that it can't be cool. It does seem though that Sonic team either decided that they would like to try something new, or that they were pressured by the rest of the gaming community to include a gun at some point.
But this does not have to be a bad thing, as long as this game is not degraded to the point of a "Grand theft Auto"
If they had given Sonic a gun It would have been stupid, but given Shadow's character, it seems logical that at some point he would use a gun to vanquish evil.
What I think looks the neatest is the fact that you now have special abilities, the two you can see in the trailer are super speed and some type of massive energy explosion.
I have now seen one website and some various people complain about Shadow's new toy, this is foolish due to the fact that A: Sonic is not toting a gun, B: It could be one of the most fun Sonic related games ever, and C: It does kinda fit Shadow's personality.
The Second issue are people who complain about Shadow having his own game, this is foolish because if you are distraught over a game that doesn't focus on Sonic you probably play to much Sonic and spend too much time thinking about it.
So I for one am looking forward to this game, and my advice to all naysayer is: You cannot judge a book by its cover, and unless the video game is definitly devilish you cannot judge it by its concept, therefore, DON'T COMPLAIN UNTIL YOU HAVE PLAYED THE GAME!!

(Read my previous journal entry "Fanfiction and Shachath" for the begining of this story)

......The dark Chaos had greatly enhanced Light's abilities, but it was rapidly corrupting his mind also. He became reclusive, hacking into the main computer of ARK and reading mass amounts of classified information, G.U.N. task force numbers, defense system schematics, acess codes for experimental G.U.N. satellites and equipment, and as much data as he could find pertaining to Professor Gerald's research. As time went on Light began to worsen, he began to break into the research quadrants, destroying what he disliked and taking what impressed him, Professor Gerald tried to determine where Light took his spoils but Light was able to make himself, and his prey, invisible to all sensors, one thing gerald knew was that Light was going somewhere on ARK, Gerald just could not find where. Suddenly an event happend that caused Gerald to prepare for a confrontation with his renegade creation, the event was as follows: After being alerted to a breach in a highly Chaos energy dependent project Professor Gerald rushed to the scene hoping to be able to track Light's retreat visually, when he arrived on the scene a disturbing sight met his eyes. The said experiment had been a whim of the Professor, a Mass Chaos Energy producing plant, despite the mass amounts of Energy it produced it looked no more impressive than a glowing tree. But when Gerald arrived it had become a massive twisted black thing, seemingly alive, feeding it's power into Light, or what the professor assumed was Light, the creature standing before him was semi-transparent and a cloudy blue color, all it's spines were turned up, and it's eyes glowed a disturbing shade of red and blue, the only identifying marks were the white patches on it's legs, they were the same size, shape and location as Light's.
Suddenly the creature turned towards Gerald and laughed, "You can call me Shachath, professor............. of course I am Light, I just find that name no longer appropriate." With that Shachath floated a few inches into the air, then was suddenly enveloped in a sphere of darkness then disappeared. Professor Gerald took a moment to collect himself then rushed off to prepare the needed resources to find, and if need be, destroy Shachath............

Well that is it for now, I hope that anyone who reads this enjoys it, and will hopefully enjoy my fanfiction if you read it (whenever it's finished!)
