They found nearly nine out of 10 girls have been in an intimate relationship.

Of these, one in six said they had been pressured into having sex, while one in 16 said they had been raped.

One in 17 boys revealed they had been forced to have sex, while one in five had experienced violence.

As you may know I was rapped by someone very close to me...and by the way these numbers go way up in the US.

When one psychologist asked male undergraduates if they would commit rape if they were certain they could get away with it, almost 50 percent said they would.

25% of women in this world are sexually abused. 5% of men are sexually abused in this world. In America it is 40% of women, 10% of men. Why do I care? Not just because that is a horrible statistic, but because I was raped. Don't feel sorry for me. That is not what I want. What I want is to prevent this from happening to others. This is not a joke. It is very much real. We as a people need to raise awareness. If we do this then maybe, just maybe, it won't be seen as acceptable when a grown man brushes against a girls breast on purpose. Maybe it will be acceptable for her to be offended, upset, to tell someone without being seen as too sensitive. Maybe, just maybe, a girl like me will not turn to drugs, alcohol, beer, smoking, and cutting for release, because she will never have been assaulted. Maybe, she will live a happy life.

Yesterday I started having withdraw symptoms at play practice yesterday. I had to go out on stage, and I could barely breath let alone think enough to remember my lines, so I was on stage, shaking, sweating, dressed like and old lady, in mental, and physical pain.
