While I do not claim to be a great artist, it would be silly of me to say that I have no artistic abilities at all (in fact, I'm sure saying that would infuriate a lot of people). I want to build on what I have and expand and just generally become better. But I don't know where to start.

I want you to challenge me. It could be a fashion design peice, painted work or just an anime style request. I'm open to anything non-pornographic. Just comment here...or somewhere else....or note me or something and set your challenge! Just be sure to include things like references, photos, descriptions. For example, if you want a painting of a photo you have, I'll need the photo....or if you want a pencil sketch of someone...you get the idea. I'll list the challenges here and keep them updated.

Been having a weird day...a dizzy day...made weirder by the fact that I felt compelled to paint. Paint!! I'll try and showw you guys ASAP how that went!

My arty improvement to-do list is currently sitting at 24...and that's just the stuff I remembered to write down :sigh: In a serious creative slump right now which is annoying the heck out of me! Especially seeing as i have nothing else to do with my days right now because I'm out of education and out of work :cries: Oh well.

My subs guna rin out soon :( Guna miss it...I might renew it but honestly I'm more likely to sub ~x-DorkSide-x because it's more...business orientated whereas this is just me...this one doesn'y have to look all snazzyful and whatnot.

Well whether you remember it or not, it's going to be exhibited again! I know that very few of you will know the places that I'm talking about and hardly any of you will be able to go and see but I will try and get photo's so that you can have a little look. It'll be displayed at Woodhorn Museum, which is where the whole thing started out a year ago n_n and in January it will be at Alnwick garden, the back yard of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. I'm dead excited!



Now then, life in general. I am currently obsessed with making lists. Lists like, things to buy before I move away, things I want to take away with me, things that I would consider neccessities, things that I need to do to improve my artwork...then there is the all important Christmas list. Now for children this is a list of things that you would like to receive but as I've grown older it's become a list of things that I would like to give. This year I want to start good and early. Not to beat the Christmas rush but because I want to give everyone something handmade, something that I have put a little of myself into.

When we arrived home the first thing I did was look for Midna, my cat...the bestest cat in the whole entire world! I love her to bits. I couldn't find her so i thought "ok, it's only like....3:30pm, she's probably out and she'll be back by tea time like usual". I was wrong. She didn't show up at all that night so before i went to bed i stood outside and called for her. Nothing. "Ok Helen, she'll be back for breakfast". Wrong again. I know that a lot of cats hardly ever come home (we have three other cats and we have one who comes home to eat and ocassionally sleep then goes out again) but this is very unlike my cat. So, my Dad phones my Uncle who was meant to be looking after our pets while we were away and he told us that he hadn't seen Mids all week. Thankyou so very much for telling us! Idiot :paranoid: I'm busy freaking out thinking that she's been hit by a car or something and spend the entire day looking for her around our house, in the local animal shelter and making up missing cat posters. My Dad and I found 2 black cats on the street, neither were mine and we found at least half a dozen in the shelter but still no luck. So at about ten o'clock last night I went out again, rattling a tin of treats and calling her name like only i seem to be able to and this black streak coming flying straight towards me! I was so relieved I cried :cries: So, the moral of this story is trust no one with your pets!

On a lighter note, we have thousands of photos from my holiday so i may post some up n_n

Also, i was thinking about doing another contest sometimes seeing as the other one took off after a swift kick up the rear, just in case anyone has any ideas or really wanted to enter the last one but couldn't for whatever reason.

I know it was ages ago now but I just have to share because I'm still all excited :excited: Adam and i spent Summer Solstice at Stone Henge! The one day of the year where you are allowed to go inside the cirle and touch the stones! It was amazing n_n The photo below is me....touching Stone Henge! With a can of cider...naturally *eyeroll*

Those of you who very rarely see pictures of me may notice that my hair is now all firey and awesome! (very bedraggled in that picture though) I let a hairdresser loose on it and went modelling! It was great fun...although painful, I learned that sitting perfectly still hurts.

My month away woth Adam was fantastic n_n I wish i was back there, my house has been full of nothing but arguing today and i feel like I'm suffocating >_<

um...what else. Don't forget about the contest!

I actually have some exciting news! I'm going back to my old school (my sister's in her last year there)to help them do some fund raising n_n But not just any fund raising, I'm going to be teaching them how to make jewellery my style! Then they're guna sell it and it's going to help pay for their trip to Stonehenge :giggle: Wish i could go though :( But yeah, I'm teaching them on friday after school. I am so excited! :excited:

I've been looking at two sketches I've done....trying to work out if they're even worth finishing. I hate my art right now. Shame seeing as it's a pretty big chunk of my college course >_< Oh well....we shall see.

Hope you all had a good Christmas! (I know it's halfway through January but it's my first journal since the festivities)

Has anyone made any New Year's Resolutions? And have you managed to break them yet :giggle: I made at least one but I think Adam is more likely to know what they were seeing as I was drunk when I made them :giggle:

I want to organise a Masquerade Ball! For charity! In the summer! I'm super duper excited about it n_n I'm still thinking about lot's of things to do with it though n_n Expect lot's of designs and such.

So here I am, wasting my time doing random and totally useless things to try and fill small voids inside of me which appear to have opened up. It's not working :no:

I've spent the past week being really excited about Christmas :santa: I've been wrapping presents, making cards, booking coach tickets. I even bought a dress. It comes down to my knees! (Anyone who sees me on a regular basis will know that this is unusual). My problem is, I have no one to share this festive goodness with! My family spend all their time ignoring me (apart from when they want me to do something), I haven't seen my friends recently while I've actually been able to talk to them, and I can't talk to Adam. I feel like tearing my hair out, and it's tempting, but I need to keep it because there's not a hole lot of it there (it's a good thing though...short hair is good).

Anyone want to share festive feelings? Have you had snow yet? How are you spending Christmas? What's your favourite thing about the holidays?

Oh! And for those people who said that they would like "cards" from me, they have been made! But my camera is broken....entirely, completely farked :cries: So until I master my mams camera there won't be any pictures of them :(

On that vague subject, Adam and his friend Liam actually spent a week here a few weeks ago. It was awesome! Although now things are an awful lot quieter...which is a shame. If you read ~x-Talim-x's journal then you'll know that we went to Hadrian's wall where we experienced all sorts of weather conditions which, oddly, I enjoyed. Yes you heard me right. I enjoyed rain, snow, hail and severe wind :D Go look at his journal, there could be photos in it for you ;)

I'm working on two art pieces at the moment so I hope you like them when I get them up here.

I also want to apologise for my lack of online...ness o_o My laptop has decided, yet again, that it hates me and is currently refusing to turn on. I miss my online buddies!

As you all know, Christmas is coming up soon and this year I am not making Christmas cards. I am making little Christmas plushies! n_n Hand stictched, stuffed and embroidered. Because So much time goes into them I won't be able to make them for everyone but if you want one post a comment and your favourite colour!

Adam was up here the past week! It was awesome just to sped together and hopefully it won't be too long til we can do it again n_n We went to a concert actually and discovered two great bands. Just kidding :giggle: But in all seriousness, there is a charity event on this weekend (26th/27th) at Druridge Bay near Cresswell, Northumberland. There's a bus runs from Newcastle as far as i know. Anyway, it's all to raise money for Spaniel's n_n It'll all go towards rehoming them and having them vaccinated and such. Also, in an effort to make a bigger contribution, I will be selling some stuff that I've made! Some of you make have seen it. (Check out :iconx-dorkside-x: to see some jewellery) It would be beyond awesome if we could see some of you there and I know that a lot of you might think "well I want to come Chi but I'm on the other side of the planet" and that's fine too...I'm not quite that daft :lol:

Well last time I updated on here I was all excited because i was off to London for a concert, and I was moaning because I was ill.

Iron Maiden were amazing. I really can't sum it up, it was such a buzz! The place was totally packed when they came on stage and although I got trod on and shoved and absolutley soaked with beer, it was an awesome time n_n They're a great band to watch live and of course it was full of classics. I could go on for a bit but I think I'll leave it there for now ^^; Oh! and I have photos *strokes*

Went to the doctors on monday after much persuasion from Adam. Turns out I had some sort of urine infection...endless joys :lol: But with pills >_< I'm feeling tonnes better :w00t:

What else?...oh yeah, my laptop charger is broken, somehow. I'm stealing computer time on my parents machines ^^;

Happy news!! I spent last weekend with Adam :love: we did well..not a lot, but it was amazing nontheless :aww: He really is amazing. And for anyone who watches his account, his drawing are amazing in real life.....just so you know.

*sigh* Next bit of news, I'm going to see Iron Maiden play their first ever UK stadium gig this weekend in Twickenham!! :boogie: I really can't wait, just hope I feel well enough to enjoy it properly. They're being supported by Within Temptation and Avenged Sevenfold too so it should one hell of a night :w00t: I can't wait.

Um what else....haven't been feeling too great physically but I think everything else more than makes up for that :giggle:

Along with about a billion other people, I received some sad news last night. Heath ledger died. It's very tragic really, he was only 28, had a 2 year old daughter and was an amazing actor. It will be pretty sad to go and see Batman: The Dark Knight knowing that he won't be in any other movies :(

Next of business...I turn 18 tomorrow so that should be um...nice? lol. My parents have bought me a camera and it arrived today. I've been desperate to open it since the guy dropped it off. Hopefully I'll be feeling well tomorrow, been a bit ill today :( But a camera and enough money to visit Adam is cheering me up already :D

Since then ...

I got into college on the course I wanted to do :boogie: Fashion and clothing. It's going well and I'm really really enjoying it although I haven't really made friends yet, just getting on with it n_n It's fun. Our forst project is drawing inspiration from creepy crawlies, winged things, slugs, snails and faeries. Should turn out interesting lol/ I'll try and post anything really exciting.

I've applied for my first job n_n Good independant step I think. Raise your hand if you've heard of a shop called LUSH *looks around* Well it's there, I have an interview on saturday so wish me luck! n_n

I have had so many ups and downs since I updated last that I could quite possibly cry thinking about it now so...I won't :D But yeah...things seem a tad rocky at the moment and it's just not good.

I missed a gig! So unhappy about it...it was the night before I saw the poster on Ashington high street >_< I missed InMe too cus well....:shrug: I really wanted to see them with Adam but well...we didn't plan lol

I dyed my hair last night ._. I quite like it though. There's a photo in my gallery for a little while ('til I move it to scraps) so if you're nosy you can take a look

Well I duno if most of you will care about this because it is on a level an emo rant but like...mirror imaged so *clears throat* I spent the past 2 days with Adam! :giggle:

Yep, I met up with Adam ~x-Talim-x in Birmingham on Friday morning then we just kinda wandered round, spent the night together then wandered round on Saturday too ^_^ There's not a lot to do in Birmingham which we worked out pretty quick but we managed to fill in the time just kinda...wandering (using that word too much >.< ) So um yeah...there's a lot of shops hehe. I was truly pissed though when i realised I'd left my digital camera at home so we went on search of a disposable, Adam got one too cus it was an awesome idea! So yey photos..gota get em developed though...i hate that >.< I might scan some and post them in scraps...or make a dev ID or something...if they turned out ok, it's hard to tell. Hardest but of the whole weekend though was saying goodbye...it was so sad :cries: I actually did cry lol

Anywho...no new art yet, maybe soon. And I'm slowly geting through devs and journals and whatnot *sigh*

Anywho, if you don't know me, I am Chi and my characters are Eilidh and Carlwm and here's a little bit about them...

Eilidh is a young kitty girl who is cute no matter what, likes to nuzzle and be close to carlwm and is actually quite mad although it doesn't always show.

Carlwm is a young stoat who drink Guinness and Jack Daniels and isn't often found sobre but that's ok because he's ever so sweet when drunk even if he doesn't always show it
