I recently released a new card deck style for PokerTH.
It's the sixth one I make for this game and this time, the "idea" was to play with Pinups cards :-)

It took me about 4 days to create this deck  (colorizing the pinup girls was the longest).
I used Peter Dribben's photoshop pinup brushes (http://xxxnitewingxxx.deviantart.com) and original Pinups pictures were from Alberto Vargas.

A new version of the free and open-source game has been released : PokerTH 0.8
Some changes :

# A new ranking system (ranking games) to give competition between the players. To play these games, you must register on a site to reserve your username (registration is free and fast course).

# A partnership with http://poker-heroes.com allows to view the results of this ranking games in tables. The team of poker-heroes is working on the ranking algorithm in order to polish it up again and again.

PokerTH 0.8 beta 1 has been recently released. If you don't know aleady, PokerTH is a really good open-source free poker game for Windows, MacOs and Linux.

Among the places I've gone : Lisbon, Sintra, Nazarré, Porto, Coimbra, Evora, Aveiro, Alcobaça, ...

It's not that I disliked Lisbon, but Porto was really nice. Lots of streets, full of shops.

One thing I found strange is the fact restaurants managers make you pay water (always bottles), bread and the small intro amuse-gueules..

I've been busy for weeks working on a new layout/design for Goofans.com

I already told you (http://x-a-n-a-x.deviantart.com/journal/22122107/) I was a fan of the game "World of Goo" (http://2Dboy.com). The game can be extended by mods (fan-made levels, goo balls styles, themes, etc).

And all these mods are gathered on Goofans.com, a community portal that aims to help players create news levels for the game.

I wanted to help David Croft (owner of Goofans.com) make a new design for his website. And here it is.

I recently discovered the game World of Goo for PC (http://2dboy.com).
This game is amazing !

World of Goo is a physics based puzzle / construction game in which you have to build bridges or towers based of goo balls.
I deeply advice you to try this game.

Little by little, unofficial tools emerged in order to create mods (new goo balls images, new levels). With David Croft, a developer of one of these tools (GooTools, not to name it, link : ) and Cosmin Mirza we decided to create a level for Christmas.

It's here and it's called "Jingle Balls".

I have just received a new graphic tablet I ordered 3 days ago online.
It's a Wacom Intuos3 A4 that I bought only 417 Euros, free delevery tax.

I am quite glad about the price because this tablet was sold about 510-525 Euros in local stores, here. Buying it online saved me some money :)

Before this one, I had a ACECAD Amarina A6 tablet, a cheap one but I had to get rid of it. The tablet wasn't compatible with Windows XP...
In short, before, I had an old PII-233 mhz and it worked fine on it but since I got my new Athlon 3000+ computer and XP, the ACECAD tablet refused to work on this Operating System.
