Well, before I start the monumental task of answering all my comments, (I've been sick the past few days AGAIN ), I figured I'd announce my new project. Yes, ANOTHER one. And it is...

Brammie's Secret Santa Project!!!

(It's my mom's fault for listening to the Christmas carols this morning. XD) I want to start the signups early so more people will commit here first, cause I know there's going to be a lot more Secret Santa things coming up next week and in December. So, if you're interested, and even if you're not, (but you should be!), here's the info:

The signups are from the moment you read this journal to November 29th. On November 30th, everyone on the list will receive a note with the name of the deviant they'll be Secret Santa for.

The Secret Santas will be chosen absolutely randomly. I'll put every deviant's name in a hat, (leftover from Halloween! ), and choose. Note that you will probably not be the Secret Santa for the deviant who is the Secret Santa for you.

We'll need an even number of people in order to get this right. (I won't be in the system, because that would mess it up, and I'd already know who my Secret Santa is. But if you want to do one for me anyway, DON'T. :3 Thank you.) When you sign up, either by message or by note, please link to a picture of all your fursona(s), just in case your Secret Santa wants to use one of them. I'll post a list below of everyone who's signed up.

And now, for all those of you wondering what the HECK I've been talking about, here is how this works. When I give you the deviant you're Secret Santa for, you get to work drawing them a picture. Anything you want; you can use their fursonas, Christmas, snow... Just nothing mean or rude, okay? But, DO NOT POST IT until the week of December 25th!!! (meaning you can post it anytime from Dec. 21 till about the end of the week) Christmas Day: everyone needs a present, right? After that you can note your deviant and tell them that you were their Secret Santa. Sounds fun, huh? And you've got almost a month to do it!

One more thing... Everyone who signs up for and COMPLETES the Secret Santa project automatically gets a full-color w/ background Christmas present of their fursona from me. But you have to complete your end of the bargain; if you don't do your picture, neither I nor your Secret Santa has to either. SO don't sign up if you can't follow through. (And please no criticizing your present... Every deviant's art is different, and special in its own way.)

Well, it's official. I am remaking ShadowCats into a graphic novel. (The first three chapters alone will take me till about next summer to do, lol. XD) I have a cover sketched and the first page is laid out. I just have to get to work making my own brushes so I'll be all set for backgrounds. (I may upload them to use as stock. Who knows?)

Also on my list of things to do is my second entry for =InvaderTigerstar's contest, though I can't actually enter it. (One entry per person!) It's a nice concept, though, with Speckletail and her deaf kit.

The Refrigerator Hall of Fame is underway! Yayness! I just have to finish the magnets and such, and it'll be done.

I had the greatest idea the other day for an autumn pic, (I call it "Autumn Innocence"), involving Tawnypelt's kits. It's a quick, sketchy pic, but I like the idea all the same. (I'm working with perspective.) I'd be finishing it now if I wasn't stuck on this computer instead of my regular laptop.

I've been having the randomest urges to do a meme this past week, so if anyone could link me a good one, I'd be very greatful. I'll do any meme that involves drawing cats or wolves, since I've almost perfected my "wolf" drawing. :3 [link]

The Refrigerator Hall of Fame!!!

Yes, yes, I know. But you don't get it yet!!! It's going to be a month/weekly feature for up to ten people, and it works like this:

I am going to make a "refrigerator hall of fame" using a picture of, of course, a refrigerator, and my favorite deviations of the month/week shall be put upon it!!! (I'll make it look good, with magnets and post-its and stuff. You'll see!) Plus I'll have a history log, so you will never be forgotten if you're put up. I'VE GOT THE CHRISTMAS BUG!!!! Already?

...I'm not kidding, either! I'm working on like twenty pictures with snow and stuff, collecting pine cones, singing and listening to carols, buying scented candles, making cookies, shopping for presents, buying ribbons, and looking for ornaments on sale! It's SERIOUS!!! XD

And it's the fault of my catalogs! They got me doodling snow in science and now I can't stop! And it's not even Halloween! So, nauct, I'm starting on my entry for the ~CrowfeatherClub winter contest, (Have you written up the rules yet, Kiwi?), and wishing I had a Christmas tree. And maybe one of those chocolate advent calenders.

I'm so sad. ~ClearBlueSkys's birthday was a few days ago, and I MISSED IT!!!

So I was making part one of her present, and it was the BEST PICTURE I'VE EVER MADE, and Photoshop shut down on me. Without saving. And I was sooooo sad I cried for like a half hour over a freaking picture. It was so good, though. And I could never get it right again, because I can never draw the same cat twice. Although I could probably do the background again since it was all brushes, but the colors would be off.

So I was checking the Club, (When I say Club, I mean the Crowfeather Club. But you knew that! XD), and found Willowescapee's journal of trade rules and such that I'd already read in InvaderTigerstar's journal, (And I discovered that Willow has a club devoted to fanart of-get this- her characters. No offense, but that's a little stuck-up. I mean, a whole club devoted to you? Makes me wonder why she does trades...), and reading it bothered me a little. You know, the whole journal about scribble stuff? I think it's a little mean, on both sides. You guys know me, I'm very generous during trades/prizes/requests and stuff, and occasionally I give better than what you asked for. But it takes me FOREVER, unless I'm in the mood.

Well, anyway. I personally don't mind getting something that's not your best for something of mine, nor do I mind going first during a trade, (though that happens very rarely), and you know what? I don't know why.

Wait. Yes I do, I just had to think about it. It's because I know that sometimes you just want something nice for you, from someone else. And although I'd really, REALLY love to, I-and this goes for most people- just can't go around making presents for everybody I know on a regular basis. But it feels so nice, you know, to get something unexpected from somebody else, (which I've been experiencing too much lately; I owe all you guys big time ), as a present. Just out of the blue. So that's why I don't care about your half of the trade- Don't get me wrong; if it's beautiful, I'll love it! If it's not, I'll still love it!- because I see it, personally, not as a trade, but as a gift. Which is why I always take so long on my stuff- I want it to be the best it can be, for you.

(I am feeling epic today XD) I'm trying to make the BEST Warriors videos ever, (or at least pretty darn close ), so I'm making more custom graphics as openings, looking for great pics to use, etc., but I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

1. If you are reading this, I'd like your permission to use your artwork in my movies. I need as many people's permission as possible, since I never know when I'll need art. Of course, my being an artist as well, I will credit EVERYONE whos pics are used, since I know I'd like people to credit me too.

You're all so sweet, with your lovely comments and such. Thanks so much for all the support, (although a few of you scared me a little with your threats, lol *cough*Kiwi*cough* ). So, just to keep you caught up so nobody is hurt, here's what happened, (in simple terms):

1. ~Kitsufox spontaneously reported my Dark Eclipse stories and noted me about it. (Before you go crazy, read #2!)

2. I responded with a long letter similar to my journal rant, which I posted after the note had been sent. (I am still ashamed of that.)

3. She then told me that she was only trying to protect the people RPing on her site, Children of StarClan. (Which is a really cool site, by the way. She's a great webmistress. You should check it out.)

4. I of course had no clue what was going on, so she started from the beginning. It turns out that it wasn't just the names, it was that the names of some Dark Eclipse characters matched up with names from her site. She investigated, and found that the descriptions were taken WORD-FOR-WORD from the site.*

*This is the big deal part. RP sites are supposed to be for you. You can create your own characters that are yours, and yours alone. How would you feel if you made a character, say Snowsoul, and came up with an awesome description, and RPed her for months, then found out that she was being used as a character in a story without your permission? I, personally, would do the same thing Kitsufox did.

5. I have never stolen anything in my life, so of course I knew she was falsely accusing me, (that doesn't mean I get off the hook and get to keep the story the way it is, though). I told her that ~Babble-chan had given me the descriptions, and then I went off on my own investigation. Ten minutes later, after contacting Babble-chan, who hasn't talked to me in months, (which I thought seemed weird, since she was always the first to post whenever I put up any Dark Eclipse stuff), I read a comment on her page by another user. The comment was, "Why did you take down all your deviations again? And your journals too?" And another, "Why aren't you on your new account?" The response to the first question was "I had good reason too. ^^" Suspicious? Very.

6. So I went to report her. I filed a ban inquiry, stating that I thought she was stealing from others besides Kitsufox. I also told DA how she'd used me, and gave them about 15 links as proof. They're currently investigating her, and I hope something happens soon.

7. Back to the other issue: my story, and the names. I told Kitsufox I'd grown fond of them, and asked if there were any I could keep. She was very gracious, and I get to keep 5 of the stolen 12 names, although I will be changing all descriptions. The others I'm not allowed to use aren't major ones, except Cottonwhisker, but I figure Cottonbreeze should fit just as nicely.


So there it all is. Took three or so days and will take many more. I have to change all the chapters, take down the group picture, rewrite the names and descriptions, redo my website, and keep an eye on Babble-chan. Now you see why I'm taking a vacation. It'll all be done in a week, although I have to go to school and all, so nothing's been changed yet, although I intend to, and soon. Again, thanks so much for your support, and please don't kill anyone. It's all just a big misunderstanding.

Except in Babble-chan's case. She's made an enemy for life.

I am very ______. (disgusted, angry, pissed, hurt, outraged)

As many of you know, I was extremely happy because of the opening of my site "Dark Eclipse" to go along with the story of the same name. Which is 100% original and copyright to me, and . We are not thieves, and we came up with EVERYTHING in the story BY OURSELVES. You guys watched me write it, for God's sake!

Ok, so I come on DA after a week's break and have like 105 messages and 2 notes. (I'm not even going to start on deviations.) I'm in a super happy mood, so I check my notes. And, (although the first was a sweet message from ), sent me the second. It read, as follows:

"I have reported Dark Eclipse due to your theft of names and short descriptions from Children of StarClan."

1. I don't even know what that is.
2. What kind of person is so RUDE that they send out notes to random people just because they've named a character the same name you have???!!! I don't even KNOW her! I am so angry that I can't even put it into words!!! So now DA is probably going to take down my story, and I sure as HELL am not going to let her get away with that. And then I'm going through her gallery trying to find out what "Children of StarClan" is, and she's used the name and description of Oakheart from the ACTUAL series! Yet she's telling ME that MY ORIGINAL names are stolen!!! Of ALL the NERVE! I can't even find the right emoticon for this!!!!! But of course I won't report HER, because I keep my word, and I am not a hypocrite!

I am so sad right now. I'm literally about to cry. Now that I've gotten all that out, I am just so sad that someone would do that. You can't come up with a totally original name... It's impossible!

I'm sorry guys. I'm just really, really disappointed. At least you guys know I would never steal from someone like that. It goes against everything writers stand for. I just hope they don't take my stuff down.

Apparently, a company called Four Paws Inc. manufactured a "Pimple Ball with Bell" that injured one dog to the point that he had to have his tongue cut off. That's right, he had to have his tongue amputated. Can you believe it?!

~... If you haven't checked out her series of "10 ways to annoy ___"s, you don't know what you're missing. My personal favorites are 10 Ways to Annoy Jasper Hale and 10 Ways to Annoy Alice Cullen. Two thumbs up!

~... She has a whole section in her gallery devoted to Twilight. Needless to say, my favorite are the skits, though everything's worth checking out. Here's a really funny one about Emmett and a load of Saran wrap: Emmett's Saran Party.

~... This is a single-piece feature, since I haven't looked into her gallery any further, but it really is an amazing piece. I'm simply amazed at how well she's captured Edward; I never favorite any pictures of humans, especially not vampires, since nobody seems to draw them well, but this is wonderful. This man is most likely a serial killer or sexual predator of some sort. Deviant art staff is handling this for me right now. The man originally added me as Jere1234 and then he notified me that he would be switching to Caeruleum. He asked that I add him. Thinking he was just some nice man who liked my artwork I said "Sure, why not?" On this account he began writing some poems about and TO my girlfriend Kayla, and I. I began to find this odd but being an overly naive and trusting person I was polite about it, commented the poems, thanked him, so on. He wrote a poem about a lifestyle choice that I thought he spent alot of time critisizing for being different than his own and I believe I posted a comment as simple as "Gosh, what have you got against that, anyhow?" The man literally flipped out. He not only wrote two journal entries condemning me and calling me things between immature and evil, but he also sent me notes telling me how "disappointed" he was with me. A man that I don't know in real life, have only talked to online for a few days, is "disappointed with me." He blocked me, and I blocked him back.

Not long after I began to get several favorites and then a watch from the account !kyakuchuu. I noticed the similar style of poetry and similar interests but I hate people who make assumptions and I'd rather not be one of them, so I just figured it was another poet with similar interests. "Kyakuchuu" soon after began calling Kayla and I "muses" and writing poems about us as well. 2KL he called them-- and informed me that this meant "To Kayla and Ellie" There is a numerous list of them in his gallery. He favorited absolutely every work of mine with Kayla in it along side of me and also any of my pictures that showed my feet. (foot fetishist, obsessive personality: bad sign) He wrote me notes telling of his extensive admiration for Kayla and I, his plans for other poems about us, thanking me for being his "inspiration". All of this seemed very creepy, but I was always thinking, what if this is really just some eccentric old man minding his own business, and he just hasn't got anything better to do. So I've been staring at my to-do list all day and feeling really bummed that I havith so much to do. Don't get me wrong; I love doing trades and stuff for you guys, and it's my own fault that I have to do so many prizes. I'm a contest addict lol. "Chasing Butterflies" Contest!!!


Rules

1. You must create a scene similar to my latest Deviation, linkie, and title it "Chasing Butterflies Contest" so I know what I'm judging. The deadline is APRIL 26th!!! (And I will not be extending it to more than the 28th.) Here are the catches:

a) The character in the scene must be YOUR OWN. This is the whole point of the picture, so be sure it's YOUR character, and YOURS alone. To varify the accuracy of the above statement, I will need a ref sheet or some other picture where your character is featured to see how well you portrayed them in this new scene (easy!).

b) The background, butterfly, and position of the cat(s) and butterfly that I used in my picture must not AT ALL resemble yours in any shape or colors. (This does not mean you can't use a forest or a pink butterfly, just make them look different from mine.) Be unique!

c) You can do more than one character chasing more than one butterfly, or something like that. It will give you extra points to do this sort of extra work. You may also enter more than one picture.

d) Understand that prizes will take awhile to get out to you, seeing as I have so much else to do beforehand. Sorry!

2. SPECIAL PRIZES will be given out for the following:

a) Getting your picture in by April 11th, (my birthday! ), will automatically earn you a lineart, colored, of the cat in your picture. (This will be drawn into the computer using my new tablet, which I recieve on my special day, , thus improving the quality greatly.) But, however, the picture has to have obvious effort put into it, not just something drawn in Paint in five minutes for a free picture. I do, unfortunately, know some people who would take advantage of me this way.

b) Draw my cat, Silversmoke, the one pictured, and yours together in the picture, and you will recieve the same prize as above automatically. This is without even being judged, which might offer you another chance at a picture.

I will singlehandedly judge all entries according to the format I have laid out below. I figure this is fair so you'll know what I'm expecting, and all winners will have earned their prizes.

a) The Butterfly(s)- These will be graded on their design, coloring, personality, and creativity. Always remember that doing more than one is a significant help!

Ok, sorry. They removed, get this, EVERY SINGLE WARRIORS PICTURE I MADE. Every. Single. One. That used Erin Hunter's book covers. THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UNFAIR!!! (It explains why the ones you've faved have been magically poofed away. >< ) I mean, EVERYBODY uses Erin's covers. Everybody! So why did they pick me, out of every single person that uses them, to delete?! Ok, so here I am, all happy, I get on the computer, and there's a note listing like 17+ deviations they removed. What a way to spoil a good mood, DA! And like the first one I've had all day.

So I will log off now before I break the keys from typing so hard and go look for a better art site. One where stupid things like this don't matter. Maybe if I listen long enough to music I'll feel better.
