Winter break started yesterday for me!

I'm on my way to Disney world right now as I type ^^ I haven't been in a year so I'm looking forward to going back~ we're going to micky's very merry christmas at magic kingdom and the candelight processional at epcot
I love going to disney at christmas time because it truly feels like christmas there~
_{unlike in the rest of Florida where it's freaking 80 degrees and HUMID on christmas day}

So my birthday went very nicely~ my family was able to come over and have dinner :3
My aunt and uncle gave me a $50 disney gift card to spend while I'm here Hellooooo Japan pavilion
Also, my parents gave me a Sebastian Michaelis Nendoroid!! He's sooo adorable, I'll have to post a picture x3 Last christmas I took a picture with my death note nendoroids and posted it, perhaps I'll do the same with my new Sebas-chan~
My sister gave me a silver ring from tiffany's it's a nice simplistic design that I can wear all the time, unlike a few other rings I have that are too fancy to wear often. I love it!
After we ate dinner, I played rock band with my dad, uncle, and my sister and her fiance xD it was really fun, i'm glad I was able to include everyone in the game

At school, my friend Sherin gave me a balloon and some Publix cookies (the best store bought kind!) and so everyone said happy birthday to me all day ^-^ normally i don't get that kind of attention on my birthday, it was kinda nice in an embarrassing way xDD

All my exams were super easy I feel like I'm not being challenged... I hope my chemistry class will teach me something new next semester. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to finish the first semester with A's! But it feels like cheating when I didn't have to work very hard to get them... I need mental challenges! :\

OH I finished the first season of Darker Than Black anime on this road trip! It was a good ending, I'm looking forward to starting the second season ^^

And now to enjoy winter break~~~

I celebrated my birthday (which is on monday) today with my friends! I took a few friends bowling since I couldn't afford to take everyone :\ but we still had fun~
We had silly nicknames for bowling, and now we want to go their in cosplay and bowl (of course) XDD I'll post pictures in this journal tomorrow (since I can do that now )

Then we came back to my house and some of my friends had arrive early xD I had a nice surprise when Raquel answered the door, seeing as she said she wouldn't be able to make it I'm happy though, we haven't seen each other in awhile~ school takes up her entire LIFE lol
Ginny also took a break from her homework to come over. I felt special that my friends would take time despite their overload of work to come celebrate with me x3
I got money, which I think i'll split and put half into savings and half into spending~ I've been meaning to save more anywho

My parents got me rock band 2 for PS3 with all the instruments!!!!!!

We were originally gonna play wii games, but then we ended up playing that for the whole time, switching for every song which kept us very amused and occupied!
You know what's really funny? Making Raquel sing songs she doesn't know just because she's so good at making up stuff and STILL scoring high
There was cake and icecream to be had, and everyone was jolly of course (btw i am leaving my mood as that for all of December xD)
My sister gave me a silver tiffany's ring with a heart of it~ she guessed the ring size and it fits me perfectly! ^-^

Now I have to get down to business and study for exams tomorrow! My friend Astrid who couldn't make it today might visit and we'll jam to rock band for a little while though~

Yes, we have a REAL tree x3

This past week I had a lot of tests and essays assigned, so it was all workworkwork. But it paid off with a free weekend! Didn't do much, which is good since I had some busy weekends last month.

OHOH I started watching Darker Than Black. It's really good, though confusing on some plot point. I've been meaning to watch it FOREVAH and so I invited a friend over to watch it with me

Then Saturday I spent the day with Angie, Ginny, and Beki helping them out with their performance preparations since I was uber bored. They're going to perform 2 dances by a Japanese group called Perfume for a school talent show~ I'm super excited to see them! ^w^

Yesterday was Lelouch's 10th birthday! HOORAY
LOL imagining a 10 year old lulu is funny~

Today my aunt adopted a kitten from the humane society, and so while she was decorating for Christmas I "kitten sat" for her x3
I forgot how demanding and hyperactive kittens were O-o and I seriously can't remember my cat being that small, she's so massive now XD

EDIT: I forgot to take advantage of the awesome journal skins

So I just realized a few days ago my last journal was before animation supercon... so I thought I should probably update it soon xDD

The con was pretty fun. I just wish there were more people and that we arrived earlier on friday. All of the supercons are starting to feel the same... we didn't go to any panels this time though XD Laura and I performed a DBSK dance called Balloons in our kitty Code Geass costumes It's here if you'd like to see it [link]
Laura always tells me funny stories of things that happen when she wanders away from the group, so I made an effort to stay with her like a loyal puppy so I could be included in the true randomness that is anime cons XDD it worked too! Met lots of new people and made friends with some reallyyyy nice artist alley people~
I had a few people fangirl(and fanboy) over my Grell costume that day, it was nice I want to finish it over winter break... damn you red coat!
I didn't go the con saturday morning because of a PSAT practice I took, and I did well on it so it wasn't for nothing! xD I hope I did well enough on the real PSATs for national merit

I think there were several Code Geass photoshoots that Suzaku, Kallen, and I had last month... still haven't put all the pictures up, but I'm trying to spread them out so I don't run out of things to post XD One was a summer shoot and we went picnicking at this park with a covered bridge. The next was a Halloween mini shoot where you saw the picture of me all beat up... that was strangely fun >D And yesterday had amazing weather so we had winter-ish photoshoot. The only thing winter about it was we had scarves on xDD But it was finally cool enough outside so we wouldn't die in our costumes so we REJOICED 8D

Halloween was awesome~ I went to school in my Umbreon costume that I finished for the occasion! I wore my Lelouch wig, and lots of people thought I cut my hair XDD And everyone said I look good with dark hair and I should dye it, but my mom won't let me dye it for inane reasons. Oh well I also did the Thriller at the little Halloween gathering our school had in the field. Everyone was all HOW DO YOU KNOW THE WHOLE THING and they cut the song off because they were bored >___>
I went back to my old highschool for the anime club party. It was loads of fun, and wonderful to see the friends I haven't seen since school started. I only wish I could show up every friday :c
We had photoshoot (yes another one) at our usual abandoned park, but this time in our most unusual costumes since it was Halloween and we could get away with wearing them in public XDD genius, I know.
Then we went to Angie's house after for trick or treating (you're never too old for free candy!) and had a sleepover. I didn't realize til now how much stuff I did on Halloween...

I think the weekend after that, Laura, Ginny, and I went to the Cosplay Masquerade at FIU for the anime club It was fun even though we didn't really know anyone >___> we made our own fun, and Chris (Roy Mustang from cons) joined us ^-^
Laura and Ginny sewed me Lelouch's dress from the sound episode where everyone crossdresses for a school festival JUST FOR MEEEE~ I was so happy they did something so nice for me sorry I ruined the surprise and made you guys tell me because I was stubborn

Costume-wise, Grell won't get finished But I'm borrowing a black trenchcoat from Laura to be his first outfit when he reveals himself I'm glad because being Grell will be fun~

I also went to a thrift store and bought a black dress for my Umbreon cosplay. It might actually be finished since it's a pretty simple costume.
I'm officially in love with thrift stores~ they're so cheap so you don't feel bad about buying something just to rip it up for a costume XD I need to go to a bigger one to find myself a pair of boots... curse my big feet

I will be Lelouch for the rest of the time


I'm thinking about having a cosplay picnic in the winter months since there won't be another con in south Florida for awhile~ we'll see how that works out ^^ Are any of you interested? Can you suggest a park or somewhere to hold it?

OMG I REACHED 10,000 PVs AND I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE
Ok, that's enough of that.

Before I get into other stuff, my new school is awesome. I never wanna go back to normal high school, I feel so free and trusted at the College Academy that I now realize how oppressive and stressful high school can be. No WONDER so many fresh college kids go crazy and flunk their first year, the sudden change is... liberating. If you live in South Florida and are invited the the College Academy, I would definitely recommend it.
On a not so serious note- FAU's pizza pretzel and boca burger are TEH LEET

So Dragon*Con was pretty awesome! I didn't make it to a lot of panels though Sometimes I wish to just go in normal clothes so I can get everywhere easier XD But then I feel too normal standing next to Darth Vader or a Steampunk Pirate on the crosswalks

For those of you that don't know, D*C is a 4 day all-genre con that literally takes over downtown Atlanta, GA, taking up 4 hotels and filling every street and restaurant with people in ridiculous costumes XD

Costumes of note I saw: full scale Aku (Samurai Jack), Bumble Bee (Transformers), Chibi Chewbacca (Star Wars), Cardboard Chewbacca (Star Wars), Spartans (300), Some awesome scuba suit with a working giant drill (Bioshock), Grell that I didn't get a picture of DDDDX (kuroshitsuji)
Of course there will be pictures~

Famous People I saw/talked to:
Alessandro Juliani - voice of L, he was really nice, but he seemed really mellow too XD He signed my poster which Brad Swaile (Light) already signed, and got mad (as a joke) that he used the fancy L to spell Light... so he signed on Light's face and put a scar on his cheek LMFAO
Vic Mignogna - didn't really talk to him, his table was always full, but he MCed the cosplay contest which I entered in with my Haruhi Suzumiya costume ^^ Didn't win anything though
Leonard Nimoy aka SPOCK - he still looks like Spock even though he's oooooold LOL he read a beautiful poem he wrote in his book during the awards banquet Dawww vulcans are poets XDD
William Shatner aka Captain Kirk - Only saw him sit down at dinner with a funny hat on xD if he was trying to avoid attention, he failed, because his old-man sun hat was pretty noticable XD Him and Nimoy kept going at each other with jokes during the speeches LOL
Adam Savage the Mythbusters dude - one of the few panels I went to. He read his list of 100 wishes he randomly wrote on note cards xD
Tom Felton aka Malfoy - a friend I made at a con kinda just... stood and watched him at his table and listened to his awesome british accent

There were like over 400 guests but these are the only ones I can remember xD Lots were from tv shows I don't watch

Things I Did:
The most important thing to me that weekend was the GWR Thriller attempt to break the current world record of most people dancing it at once... the total was 903!! I was a team captain that helped teach the dance to a group before we did the final attempt. Some people sought me out after all the captains did a demo to the noobies and said they wanted me to teach them because they thought I did the best~ I was really touched! This is the first time I've actually been kind of excited for school to start, because this year I'll be going to the College Academy. Basically, I'm starting my junior year in high school and my freshman year in college at the same time. I have no idea what to expect! But so far, I'm so thankful I did it. The most recent payoff is that I don't have to do the huge summer assignment for English that was given at my old school Also, I'm receiving about $2000 of free education this semester My parents are thrilled about that XDD
~JisatsuSama was actually in my group for the orientation on friday. I recognized him as Axel from cons and we wasted away the MANY hours in line talking about random crap. ~MishaSu and ~HonooMizu are also going to the school. I'm glad I'll have some friends to talk to about anime and cosplay and all that jazz~

ANYWAY although I'm excited about my new school, IT SUCKS SO MUCH THAT SUMMER IS OVER. I'm gonna miss hanging out with my friends at my old school A LOT. But hopefully I can sneak back on Fridays to the anime club

Lotsa people are talking about MizuCon right now... I really won't know if I'm going until a few days beforehand. But if I can, I will go on Saturday as Lelouch ^^

Cosplay progress wise, I'm working on Grell right now! But I'm... unmotivated because his coat is going to give me hell, so I don't even feel like making it right now BUT I started work on the chainsaw with some foam and plexiglass and it already looks badass... GAH I can't wait to be him! >D

There's a festival coming this weekend at the Morikami Japanese Gardens. It's not anime related, it's a traditional japanese festical. I went last year and it was very relaxing (except I didn't drink enough and almost passed out from dehydration note to self...)

I'm in the car driving to my Grandparent's house in Minnesota, then tomorrow I'll be flying home...
I had a ton of fun this week! I always have a hard time recalling everything, but every time I leave I feel inspired to... do something. For the first 3 days I went to a program called Women Soar You Soar, to encourage teenage girls who want to pursue a career related to aviation. There really aren't that many women in the field, and most of the women we spoke to were the only women in their ground school's and engineering classes. They were amazing to talk to, and I made some great friends (especially my room mate, she liked anime! XDD). By listening to both the mentors and my peers, I've confused myself with what I really want to do now! XDDD I don't think that was the goal...


I'm thinking about getting my pilot's license soon (you can get it at 17)
I have always LOVE LOVE LOVED jets, fighter jets especially... so I'm seriously considering going to the air force academy. Many air force graduates have become astronauts, which would be OMFG AMAZING IKDFHIKSWF so that could become my path... I keep trying to imagine me doing these things and it's certainly interesting The women I met who were fighter pilots were just so awesome, I really look up to them.
My other (original) idea was to major in aerospace sciences and work doing research for NASA and the ISS and such... but now that seems so unexciting and anticlimatic!

So some of the things I saw this week:
-A woman named Jessica Cox spoke to us about how she became a pilot... born without arms. She was actually terrified of flying, and she overcame that fear when her father enrolled her in flight training and she earned her license a few years later. Her stories about growing up and dealing with other people's impressions of her 'disability' were touching. To her, having no arms wasn't a disability. In fact, she said, if she was given arms tomorrow, she wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do with them
-I met air show performers Debbie Rihn-Harvey, Julie Clark, Jill Long (who is the best Lieut. Col. EVER), Melissa Pemberton, etc and saw all their shiny airplanes up close
-Watched a movie in a huge outdoor "Fly-In" theater "6 Days 7 Nights" introduced by Harrison Ford (yes, THE Harrison Ford was there, he's president of the Young Eagle's program, which gives kids their first airplane ride to get them started in aviation). BTW Harrison Ford sucks at public speaking, but I love his acting XDD
-Watched The White Knight 2 fly!! OMG it is amazing and elegant. It, along with SpaceShip 2 "Eve", will fly the first space tourists into space! Unfortunately, SpaceShip 2 is not complete yet and so the White Knight 2 flew alone... yet it was still a beautiful site.
-Toured through the new HUMONGOUS BEYOND ALL REASON AirBus A380... holy shit it's too hyooj for it's own good. It wasn't really furnished inside because they are still testing it, it was filled with all the testing equipment instead, which was still pretty cool. I waited in line a long time to go through, and I think it was more fun talking to the people around me in line than actually walking through the airplane XD I did make inside right before it started pouring rain though >D
-Watched the first all women air show
-My favorite part of AirVenture's air show will always be the WWII reenactment... I have videos for you this time! But basically WWII airplanes fly in formation, dogfight, and bomb the ground (real pyrotechnics!) with the awesome finale of the B17 heavy bomber dropping the 'wall of fire'! Soldiers drive around in tanks and army trucks on the flightline also. It's very epic.
-Watching a helicopter do flips and fall through the air just... does not look right. What were you thinking Red Bull?
-Elvis helicopter did a demo of dropping water, it's one of those that drops water on fire and such. It was impressive
-Saw this group of women and a guy perform WWII era songs like the USO, they sang really well!
-I'm sure you all know about that US Airways 1549 incident where the plane landed in the Hudson River? Well Sully and Skiles, the pilots of that plane, were there! I went to their interview, and I think Skiles should be a comedian XD he was hilarious!

for those of you that didn't know, I have a long standing interest in aviation because it kinda runs in my family xD my dad and his dad are private pilots (it's their hobby) and I've been going to this convention since I was young. My grandpa has been going for decades

So my first yasumicon was interesting... I only went saturday though
I went with and as a code geass group in maid outfits XDDD we were shocked by how many people recognized who we were (I thought we would have to explain to everyone) and reactions lmao
We danced the hare hare yukai not 5 minutes after we got to the con XDD
Then I changed after the costume contest into casual/whateveritscalled lelouch.

IT WAS TOO HOT OUTSIDE. Dammit Florida. D<

I am certainly picking light costumes for that con in the future, the maid outfit was perfect as long as I wasn't in cold rooms >__>
I really like how the food places were all near, it was nice not having to drive to some fast good place in costume XD

We got lost a lot, which frustrated me but I was okay later x.x we got some really nice pictures by the lake ^^ Will be posting them this week~

I was supposed to do a Thriller dance gathering there, but it didn't work out...
mwanted to enter the costume contest which conflicted with the gathering. Also my plan to do it inside was foiled when the other guy got in trouble for playing music on his amp indoors... which stumped me because plenty of tables were playing their own music...? Later on in the evening we danced it outside, and it was playing in the dealers room when we entered so suzaku and I did it spontaneously XD

I didn't get to dance as much as I wanted to at the con, mostly because we weren't allowed to inside and it was sooo hot outside x.x So the new dances I learned will have to wait for the next con Idk if i'm going to mizucon yet because it's the week before dragoncon...

I bought new posters for my NEW ROOM YAY I painted my walls and got this awesome new bunk bed I got a Black Butler poster, a Vampire Knight poster, and another (yes) Code Geass poster with Lulu in his emperor outfit >3

Ummmmmm I can't think of anything else to say XD OH WAIT

The main purpose of this journal is to update my cosplay list XD It's getting longer

OMGOMGOMG I started watching Kuroshitsuji this week and I'm up to episode 18 it's amazing, I love it! The animation is perfect, the characters are great, and the costume designs are loooove. I absolutely love Grell, totally adding him to the cosplay list

I'M SO EXCITED FOR YASUMICON now I just have to convince my mom to let me go both days D:
I'm planning a skit with Laura, Kerri, and Raquel though ^^ I hope it turns out the way we want~

I've learned lots of new dances in the past week but why must DBSK dances be so hard DX

I still have to do 's drawing for our art trade >_>

Next week we're having a photoshoot for a late 4th of July submission because we're all busy this weekend XD so expect a cosplay submission! (although it makes no sense since the anime takes place in japan...?)

I have more pictures to submit that are one my computer... but unfortunately everything is moved out of my room to paint (YAY) so I can't use my computer v.v oh well, you will have to wait for more cosplay submissions (assuming anyone is actually waiting for them LOL )
I haven't been getting very good sleep this week because I have to sleep on the couch ">> I wanna get this over this already XD

A korean group called DBSK/Dong Bang Shin Ki (Tohoshinki in Japanese) recently released a new song that I really love I'm sure you will too when you listen. The video has english subtitles since they sing in Japanese.

Bleach Swords:
Okay! So I took a bunch of pictures of my swords from my Ukitake cosplay, which I am selling because I don't really wear this cosplay anymore. It is too hot for me (many layers), and I cut the white wig that goes with it for another cosplay

Here are many pictures of them if you're interested! These are his shikai form of his sword, Sogyo no Kotowari.

LOL it helps if I describe the swords...

Each sword is 3ft. 4.5in. long
They are wood, spray painted black with a silver edge. They do curve slightly towards the end. The side prongs are also made with wood, attached with metal spikes and the cracks smoothed and filled. The tsubas (hand guards) are made of 2 layers of balsa wood, and the designs were carved into with a dremel. They are painted gold like the handle. Each handle was wrapped with red ribbon in authentic tsukamaki style. The only different is I don't know how to do the ending knows, so I glued the ends of the ribbon down to finish the wrapping. I ran out of ribbon on the first handle and couldn't find the same find, so the ribbon on the second sword is slightly different, but you can't tell unless you looks close up.

Rope is 5ft. 9.5in. long
It is spray painted red. The ends were dipped in apoxy to make a hardened part to drill the metal loops in. The metal loops allow the rope to move. It can get stuck sometimes but it's not difficult to change their position to hang correctly. The five silver charms are made of 3 layers of balsa wood, spray painted silver. The loops in the charms to attach to the rope are made with wire coat hangers, also painted silver. Then the charms are held in place on the rope with thin wire.

I'm going to ask another person who makes swords what he thinks they are worth before I name a price, so when I find out, I will update this journal

Hey everyone! I had an idea recently when I was talking to on MSN

I want to sell matching cat ears and tail sets like the one i'm wearing here

The ears would be on a headband. The tail has wire in it to make it stick out.
The tail can have optional stripes. The ones on this picture are actually removable, so that will probably be the best way so you can switch the style!
The color of the stripes can match the inside of the ears
OR
The color can be different from the ears
The tail will attach with a wire loop and a little chain. Once I make a real set i'll post detailed pictures here ^^

So what do you think? Basically here's the list of options:
-Fur color
-Ear contrast color
-Headband color (or should I just match it to the fur??)
-Tail stripes on or off
-Tail stripe color

Once I post a picture, tell me if you definitely want a set and i'll make it for you to give at YasumiCon (or if you're a distant watcher, you can pay a bit extra for shipping)

I know a new journal already?! But it's summer so... I have too much free time XD

I just got done going through OVER 100 journals and 100 deviations T.T damn I fell behind ever since finals at school XD

Before I go into my rant... is anyone interested in doing an art trade with me? I have no idea what to draw, but I want to get better at drawing faster so yea XD

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I WANT TO GO TO METROCON SO BAD NOW
I looked at the website and Brad Swaile (Light Yagami's voice) and Brian Drummond (Ryuk's voice) are going! That means I can get 2 of the characters on my poster signed! Then at DragonCon, Alessandro Juliani (L's voice) is coming so I can get him to sign it tooooo
Also a bunch of my friends are going, and it looks like such an epicccc con... sigh
I wonder if I can convince my parents to let me go T.T ACTUALLY my cousin lives in tampa and my sister likes to hang out with her (around same age), so maybe my sister will take us up and while we're at the con they can hang I will have to bring that up
Ok so if I do manage to get to go to Metrocon, I want to drag along Raquel and Laura XD

I told my mom about it and she said Tampa is too far away, so I can't go after all My sister said yes to taking me and everything! Oh well... I'll just do something fun with everyone to make up for not being able to go lol

Hey everyone! Florida Supercon was AWESOME!! I kept thinking in the middle of doing something fun "wow, I don't have to worry about school work due monday because school's OUT" which definitely made the whole weekend brighter. School work after an exhausting weekend is not productive lol

I didn't post yesterday because I was basically recuperating XD
The boots and heels I wore basically all weekend killed my feet, and the dancing killed my legs, and the staying up late just killed me in general

We did the Rockstar Cosplay Contest as a death note band. We performed Dirty by Nightmare, we thought about doing the World (the DN opening) but thought it would be a little too cliche, so we went with another song by the same artist XD It was a lot of fun~ We were hyper if you couldn't tell from us running all over the place LOL

Anime Jeopardy was really cool and ran smoothly, there were clickers and a score board I was totally fascinated bye OwO
I had to change out of Haruhi for the middle of the day because I can't sit down easily in the hoop skirt thing XD Angie brought her amp to the upstairs and we basically started a dance party outside the game room, it was so much fun!! There's a video of some of our dances on my youtube, along with dancing ninjas XDD
The Weird and Wacky Japan panel was SO FUNNY, I hope they continue doing new presentations at future cons~
Then of course the costume contest! There were sooo many people again, and the costumes just get more awesome each time. I feel bad for the judges having to make hard decisions like that x3 I was actually surprised Angie and I won something because I made most of the costume in the past week (i'm a horrible procrastinator lmao)
The Rave wasn't much, this guy (who i think was bill larson?) wanted us to play our "funny japanese music" instead since the rave music sucked LOL

Sunday
We slept in after staying up for the rave until around 2 (it didn't start until 1)
I was Lelouch again with Laura as Suzaku, we did a last minute skit doing the Ike Ike since we both knew it lmao
I didn't expect to get anything for it, but apparently we amused people enough to get best drama. Yay for procrastination again XDDD It's also on my youtube~

Overall it was so awesome! We met a bunch of new people and adopted a new friend into our cosplay group~
Now I want to finish all the costumes I've wanted to do for awhile (especially since my mom bought me a new sewing machine 8D) I need to make less-hot costumes since it's summertime XDD

BUT IT HAILED TODAY WTF LOLLL
Best part is, they have been holding classes lately because of lightning warnings. But they didn't hold us today when 7th hour portable SHOOK because of a nearby lightning strike!
The administrators said on the PA "there are extra security guards out, stay under cover!"
WTF is a security guard going to do, watch us get struck by lightning? People at my school are so stupid...

All I could do was point and laugh at the hail hitting the ground as everyone huddled under the hallways- which didn't do anything because it was too windy. Seriously, I laughed for 5 minutes for no reason.

School is almost over... thank goodness I'm escaping the majority of stupid and deadbeat people at my school- I was accepted to a college program to finish my last 2 years at a community college~
The only thing I will miss are my awesome friends

I never posted about Hatsume Fair and NarutoTrek, but you did see some pictures of the former... THEY WERE EPICALLY AWESOME I shall tell you that, and I made quite a bit more friends at NT this year. Many improvements on last years con, I only hope they can keep growing!

and I all cosplayed for the first time at ADD, and have had HUGE amounts of fun cosplaying inside and outside cons! Just look at our retarded photoshoot pictures~ XD
Since then I have been Light Yagami, Yoko Kurama, Jyuushiro Ukitake, Kitty!Lelouch Lamperouge, and PS2 Haruhi Suzumiya!
I am immeasureably glad I discovered this hobby (despite how ecpensive it is x.x) and was able to share it with my friends... it has made us so close in that one year

ALSO My 2 year dA anninversary was yesterday, March 8! I have not submitted much in my time on dA, mostly because I joined to talk to people and find other people's awesome art (and because I'm really picky as to what I think is good enough to post here >>... I'm happy those of you that watch me appreciate and comment my occasional deviations
It is really funny to see how my deviation categories changed so dramatically so quickly... I was submitting random photgraphy last year and now cosplay has overrun my gallery! But I have met many amazing people on here through cosplay, and hope to continue seeing them at cons for moar epic fun tiemz XD

We will be doing our Hare Hare Yukai Workshop again! (And with less tech difficulties and more room~ yay)
I wanna call it "Haruhi Boot Camp" this time, ne? xD

I have a decision to make though... I am too lazy to make costumes for awhile so I'm wondering which one I will do for Narutotrek. Here are my options...
1. Finish Haruhi Suzumiya PS2 (Lots of reworking needs to be done xD But then it'll be done for FSC in June )
2. Buy Itsuki Koizumi's Blazer from Ebay (and will be Kyon using my Light wig) This was the best one I could find, but it's expensive, and then I also need a wig :\ [link] But then we would be joining our friends' group to complete it

On another note, Hatsume Fair at the Morikami Japanese Gardens is the week before that They're having anime events for the first time there, so we're trying to get EVERYONE in our anime club, and possibly asian club, to go! It would be awesome to take a picture out front and put it in the yearbook or something

We watched Obama's speech in spanish class. I must say, my teacher looked quite annoyed (she didn't look at the TV, and she was all "His speech won't last more than 15 minutes because it's so cold nyeeeeh") XD

I liked his speech. I did not laugh because of butchered words the entire time, that's a first. I think this is the first time an inauguration speech meant something to me. 4 years ago I didn't understand/didn't care about Bush's political jargon. I think I understood way more than the deadbeats in my spanish class that were falling asleep during his speech.

I never follow the elections. I don't believe in any promises presidents or president elects make until they prove themselves. Today was the first time I've actually listened to Obama speak.

I just really hope he can help this country, so we won't have to sacrifice our friends, family, and only planet to entropy.

I turned 16 last sunday

I just got back from Disney and Universal/Islands of Adventure... I can't elaborate right now but let me say this:

8x Thunder Mountain- WE BEAT OUR RECORD OF 6 FTW. The ride was basically empty, so my uncle and dad sat separately in the rows ahead of us and WATCHED us the entire ride. Looking backwards LOL. They said it felt cool so when we went on by ourselves we sat in the back and did it like, the last 3 times xD Much fun was had...

That's like... a lot of rollercoasters.

I got Animal Crossing Wii from my aunt and uncle, with the little microphone thing too! If you have it, lets trade numbers and we came explore each others worldz :B

My friend had always talked about it, but I never pushed myself into it until after attending my first con and seeing HOW AWESOME IT IS

Light has been the simplest and evoked the most reactions strangely, because I really get into character I’ve been in that costume at least 8 times, having great times with my friends xD (which reminds me I need to show you the video of our blooper pictures during photoshoots BEST PICTURES EVER XD)

4. Which is your least favorite?
Ukitake from Bleach, SO MURDEROUSLY HOT but looks so pwnage... And the swords are large so carrying them through hallways can get tricky xD I love the costume because it looks great, but DAMN is it uncomfortable...

Yes~ I got a lot of compliments on wigs I’ve done for friends, and it feels great because they take hours

Zero from Code Geas... that tight body suit is killer and usually doesn’t look good on anyone, but the helmet looks so cool |D (Totally would try to make it open the eye like in the show) And I can do his laugh >D

Everytime I come back from airventure and tell people about what I saw, I feel like I've learned a lot of valuable information and saw some sights that many people never have the oppurtunity to see... just makes me feel priveleged

ANYway, I'm sitting in a hotel room in my PJs in St. Louis while mi padre is doing something for work... feels good to just sit and be a lazy ass after walking the entire length of a runway multiple times over the course of a week

When I get home, I'll upload some of my pictures... but I have a lot of schoolwork to do (which i should be doing right now instead of typing this LOL) oh and I gotta finish inking my first tablet picture
LOTS of cosplay props to do suddenly, before Dragon*Con... all this stuff I gotta do makes me worried, and there's only a week before school starts X.X

Some awesome things I did/saw at Oshkosh...
-Burt Rutan unveiled spaceship 2 and the white knight 2 which will carry regular people into space, a frontier in space tourism (a ticket to space is $200,000 )
-Jeff dunham, who is a helicopter builder and pilot, did an awesome show with guitar guy and his gang of puppets
-Jet packs, the first ones that are actually feasable and lightweight (made of carbon fiber that's why... my friend made friends with the teenage dude who flies it and was totally obsessing over him (you'll see why in the pictures i post later xD) so we were hanging out for awhile... no free jet pack ride though LOL
-Got a ride in a plane called the breezy, which is a totally open cockpit, ultralight-looking, simple plane that's called the breezy for good reason
-Almost got a picture with Harrison Ford at the young eagle's banquet, but I was too late and he ran away
-Saw John Travolta land in his 707 Qantas jet
-Heard Rod Machado make an unintentional gay joke he'll never live down
-Learned about constellations at a planetarium and from a friend of my grandpa's... I can finally locate the north star (it's not even the brightest what's with that xDDD)
-Watched things get blown up in the warbirds demonstration, my favorite part of the airshow
-Saw the V22 Osprey in all its FREAKYness... it's like a real transformer helicopter, and looks kinda demonic when it's flying. I have a video i'll get up on youtube soon of it transforming, though none of it flying since it has a bad history of crashing and i didn't want to be around when it took off LOL
-Watched the F22 Raptor (newest military fighter jet) do things an airplane isn't supposed to do
-OH AND you know that lieutenant from Forest Gump, Lt. Dan? He's part of a band (Lt. Dan Band LOL) and they played, it was cool ^^

I've also decided I plan on getting my pilot's license, starting with sport's pilot and working my way up (it has lots of restrictions on it but it's easier to get) and hopefully I will have some sort of license in hand by AirVenture next year!

My friend and I want to sell Ramen at a convention, because it's cheap and con teens are obsessed with ramen anyway xD
We're circumventing the need for a food license though...
Basically, we'll have a hot plate boiling 2 cups of water, and the person puts their ramen in the pot and lets it boil for 3 minutes, then we pour it in a foam cup and let them add the seasoning and give them a fork!
It'll make for a slow line... I'm going to see if the ramen will cook okay if you just pour 2 cups of boiling water in it and let it sit. That'll make things go much faster. If any of you have "strategies" for cooking ramen fast... OMFG LEMME KNOW LOL

I've been playing with my tablet for awhile but never end up finishing anything D: Which means I probably won't finish my entry to the "dress L and Light in jrock" contest LOL but the boots I drew for L pwn

I've been playing Okami like crazy! I've barely gotten far... probably because I like getting all the items and praise which makes the game like 20 hours longer Anyone else love Waka? XD "I'm god's gift to man"

Just finished up the volunteer camp I went to... so I can resume waking up at the decent hour of 10 again

Oh btw, July 4th was noneventful xD My family doesn't like to do things for it anymore... we were going to ride our bikes (LOL flock of bikes) over to the park to see the city fireworks, but it rained like hell so yea... we watched a movie instead. "P.S. I love you" was cheesey but adorable at the same time and Gerard Butler is hot and the phantom of the opera

I got a "new" bike from Laura though, since we were expecting to go bike riding xD I AM SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THIS BIKE It's like an old school beach cruiser with a huge seat and tall handles... it's like sitting in a chair I think it's this [link] only blue and I think taller handles that curve back down xD

I've been making a habit of finding which anime voice actors in english (and sometimes japanese) are the same in other animes... It's VERY funny when you find out, such as...
(in english)Lelouch = Ichigo
Suzaku = SasuGAY, C.C. = Sakura (C.C.xSuzaku IS NOT OTP)
Lloyd = GAARA WTF (I love you anyway lloyd x3)
In the future, Tamaki = Ed Elric (it's too perfect xD)
and in japanese, Zero from Vampire Knight, Tamaki from Ouran, and Light Yagami are all the same xDDDD (so opposite man)

I find that if I read manga from THE BOOK instead of ONLINE I can finish it in about an hour... I lose my attention very quickly reading on the computer >.> So I've been borrowing the death note manga from and I'm getting through it FINALLY! Only now I can't save all the panels that sound oh so strange out of context

Btw, my dog seems fine, but he's almost out of meds >.> and he has to pee for a half an hour EVERYtime we take him out... it's like he's drunk or something?

We're going to film out epic "Silence of the Lamps trailer soon with our cosplay group... most random thing ever xD but my sister got her macbook so we can get the video off 's camera WAYYY easier now. w00t for home videos?

I finished watching up to the most recent episode of Vampire Knight... and I'm gonna borrow the manga from Laura >3 It's so good! Though it isn't a very deep plot... they throw HUGE hints at you for major turning points.

On a rather sad note, on friday night my dog vomited at least 5 times and was coughing a lot, so my parents took him to the vet saturday morning. And he has cancer, a huge tumor in his abdomen, which I saw it coming because we never took him to the vet for all the huge bumps on his stomach because "It's too much money." Which is true since it was $600 this time.


I am also sad because I completely forgot how to use dreamweaver and I have to relearn the whole damn thing over again... but I need money so oh well

Yea yea it's been 4 weeks since florida supercon but... I never got around to posting about it because finals came right afterwards!
So it was AWESOME. I mean, as a whole it was really fun. There were some parts that were annoying though, like how very crowded the hallway between the main areas were, closing the hall leading from the convention to the hotel lobby, and NOT HAVING DDR IN THE GAMEROOM. But the events, the people, everything else was cool. Great first major convention 8D
On friday I wasn't dressed up because I was too lazy, but was dressed as L, as Mello, and Gina as Matt xD I just wore my haruhi suzumiya headband so I wouldn't look so plain >.> I got a video of L playing the piano [link] x3 By the way, raves suck. Danci- I mean waving your arms around to the same beat with glowsticks for 3 hours is only fun when you're HIGH I guess...
On saturday I wore the first costume I ever made, Yoko Kurama! My friend Valerie and I worked on the top... but it turned out great. My friend was with me as Hiei x3 It was a nostalgic cosplay because we used to roleplay as kurama and hiei when we were younger XD It was funny hearing people go "WOA is that YuYu Hakusho? Awesome costumes!" as we walked through hallways, because you NEVER see people do the costumes anymore. Also, we won best novice group in the costume contest! At the prejudging, YaYa Han was excited to see YuYuHakusho and they liked the massive styling I did on Hiei's wig x3 It took me many episodes of House to make it defy gravity~ Unfortunately, the photographer for Saturday didn't do a very good job at ALL in my opinion, they're all white washed and black colors showed up strangely. On sundayyyy we did our usual Death Note cosplay but with many more characters! Me as Light, as L, as Ryuk, as Mello, Gina as Matt, and was going to be Misa but she got sick In order to pull off the skit, Raquel's sister had to temporarily be Misa (something I'm sure she wasn't too thrilled about xDD). It was hilarious carrying around my scythe that Laura made for me, it was easier to just hold it up high where noone could hit it, which I'm sure looked very strange if you were far away looking over the heads of the crowd. I LOVE the pictures tony schreiber took of us starting here [link] He was at Anime Day in Davie also and remembered us xDD Finally, our Disney Death Note Musical was a hit! So... much... screaming x.x You can see it hereee [link] We worked a lot practicing and it paid off with Best Comedy Skit x3 And thus ended a great weekend...

After that it was back to reality and the last 2 weeks of school... I finished off the year with straight A's so I GET MY ELECTRIC GUITAR YEEEEEESSSSSH

ANYWAY so last journal was edited many times, mostly about my new cosplay endeavors xD
BUUUUT in more freaking exciting news (for me xD), my mom got a hotel room for my friend and I at Florida Supercon. That's just awesome. Now I can rave with glowsticks until 1AM and go collapse in a hotel room rather than leave early to have my friend's parents drive us home. That's just full of win.

I'm about halfway done with my Yoko Kurama. I think I'm just going to buy sweatpants, cut them up and re-hem them out of laziness. Here's a doofy OOC picture xD: [link]

NarutoTrek was fun though. We hung out with our new friend Anna that we met at A.D.D. The middle of the day was pretty dull, but when the sun went down OMG IT WAS FUN. And then we left. D8 But we started the Hare Hare Yukai, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON BOWED DOWN TO ME (LIGHT) AT THE END. It was so. Freaking. Epic.
We also met the American voice actor for Naruto, Maile Flanagan. She naturally talks like him. That's right. SHE. No seriously, Maile should be a a comedian, she was hilarious xD

So now Supercon is drawing ever closer... and the anticipation keeps annoying me DDD': We have to practice our epic Death Note Skit >D I finally decided on the third costume: Ukitake from Bleach. Which is none of the characters mentioned in the last journal xDD Because my friend is going as Rukia, and she doesn't want to be alone, so I'll be her captain x3 Another friend is (probably) doing Nanao, so all we need is a Shunsui and everything's perfect xDDD

The cop had the people pulled over the culprits in a parking lot off to the side of course.

Anyway, this broken pipe was spewing huge amounts of water on both sides of the road, practically flooding the area.

I kept staring at it thinking,
There's only 2% (or something like that) of fresh water on this planet.
The ice caps, which contain a lot of that water, are melting into the oceans because of our pollution.
And because of a hazardous driver (I don't think medians are supposed to be driven on), a lot of that scarce fresh water is spewing freely and wastefully on the road. Where it's likely to cause another accident by slicking the road like that.

Isn't that great?

About an hour later we're driving back the same way, the cop is gone, and the pipe is still spewing.
It would have been fine if someone fixed it right away. But obviously no one really cared.

That just really annoys me for some odd reason. I mean, we need water to live, and we just waste it continuously without thinking.

Someday in the future, when people are dying and dehydrated, someone is going to think back and go "Oh shit, we should have fixed those pipes."

That whole thing just really seemed to turn my thoughts.
