As far as art goes, I've been working on a few water colors lately that Ill be finishing up this week, and Ill post them when Im done. I got a few night shots after the blizzard hit, but theyre nothing special. I need to get back into the full swing of things as far as my photography goes. OH! My Aunt just gave me a bag full of photo goodies though! She used to be real into photography when she was younger but gave it up and decided to give some stuff to me! I got a 35mm, a freaking HUGE telephoto lens (OMFGAWESOME!), some filters, some adapters, two shutter release chords, two camera bags....umm...that might be it. But Im pretty stoked about that. Ill definitely be getting back into film work asap.

So, yeah, thats really all I have for now. Hopefully Ill have some work worth putting up soon. Happy Holidays everyone!

First off, my friend Steph and I are in the middle of shooting our first stop-motion/live action movie (well short to be honest, bout 10 mins hopefully) about zombie transformation! The two of us are doing everything ourselves including shootting, special fx make-up, and editing; with the exception of help from our friend Matt to do the soundtrack. Its a mix of live action filming and stop-motion using my camera for still shots. No dialog, just awesome, creepy sound effects using various instruments. We'll be putting it up on youtube once its complete. Im so excited! It looks great so far!

Ok, next up, Ive finally got gallery showings! And go figure theyre one right after the other! Thursday Oct. 1st is Inliquids 10x10 Benefit Show in Philly. Myself, Steph, and our friend Leah each have a piece in the show. Theres over 200 participating artists and everything will be sold through a silent auction throughout the evening. Im really looking forward to it!
The next day, Friday Oct. 2nd, is the opening at The Spot in Wilmington. This one is the big one (to me at least) because I put this one together. Id been trying to get a show at this place for a few months, and finally with help from a new friend, was able to get ahold of the guy who runs the space. Steph, Leah, Tina, and hopefully Laury and Brian will be showing their work as well. I really just wanted to be able to have a gallery on my terms, with no restrictions or specifics. Just what I want to show, how I want to show it. We're all scrambling around trying to get everything ready now and Thursday night and all day friday before the opening were going to be making food and setting everything up. Theres going to be live music from local bands, including one of my favs, Revolution I Love You. So if all goes well it should be awesome and Ill def. post some pics.

And finally, just because this is freaking awesome, my friends and I are going to Zombie Prom at the Trocadero in Philly this Sunday! A whole night of fancy dressed zombies dancing and boozing to awesome music! Not sure what Im wearing yet or what kind of wounds I want to do, but Im so excited for it! Ill be posting pics from that as well!

Alright well I think that about does it. Theres def. a few things Ill be posting soon that are worth keepings an eye out for!

anyway, on to the art. i had an interview today with the photographer of Spark Weekly and Im now a freelance photographer for them!! wooohoo!!! excited! she looked through my portfolio and said i do amazing work, which brightened my day! the guy at kinkos the other night told me he liked my work alot too! so double smiles! on friday (black friday, dear god) jackie and are are going out to shoot. shes going to call best buy and see if theyll let her shoot inside the store. im going to call barnes and noble and see if theyll let me. if not, ill tag along with her or try somewhere else. she has to do it for an assignment, and i had thought to do it last week, so we figured we'd go together. better only one of us driving on black friday than both of us. lets hope we get in somewhere! and last, but not least, im trying to finish up the first of my Heart Squishies plushies. this first one is a xmas present for my friend, who gave me the idea and plans to(i think) start a comic about those wreched heart squishies that plague us all. as soon as i get this first one done, ill take some shots of it and post them. im planning to make several of them to sell at Otakon 2009. im also planning on getting my tshirt line started and my buttons made for otakon too. ill keep you updated though.

I've also been emailing everyone I can about photo related jobs and weddings and such. I already have about 4 or so weddings planned this year. I'm really excited. It'll be nice to build my portfolio up with some things that aren't all art photography(although I do love it the most!).
