This journal is just a quick update, nothing very serious. I'll be pretty busy with work and stuff now that the holidays are upon us. I've been pretty humbuggish lately, so I don't know how work's going to blow over. XD So, I won't be on dA much.

About those other things... I will NOT be continuing the story "A Visit for Charlie" or the "Everyone Needs a Hero" comic. I apologize to those of you who were anticipating the next parts, but after loosing interest in both projects, I saw no need to continue. Again, I am very sorry.

It's definitely been an interesting couple of months now that I'm back on a normal working schedule, meaning less time for relaxing >< I've been working my tail off lately, filling in for those who called out last minute or just weren't able to show up for work... I hate being the reliable one =___=;

There's also been some crazy happenings at work with the awesomely insane crew I work with and our equally, if not more, insane customers. There's been major theft, resulting in an arrest, the company is being sued... again XD, and there have just been some crazy assholes coming to our store, making our lives a living hell. But what do you expect from one of the most successful retailers in the world?

But I do have good news! I've got my writing and drawing groove back and I've been working on 's request which is LONG over due for an update! Sorry for the wait, guys! D: Along with that, I've been contemplating on writing Charlie's actual story... But don't hold your breath It probably won't be a while until I actually start writing it.

Anywho, in other news, my mom gave me the most disturbing news the other day... We may not be getting our home internet back... My mom can't afford it and she refuses to let me help her pay the bill... BUT if we do ever get any form of internet in our house, it'll probably be dial-up... Which throws me back in time about 10 years... Lol. As much as I dislike the slow, annoying dial-up, if that's what we can afford, then it'll have to do. Guess I brought my wireless router for no damn reason... =____=;

Weeee! Okay, so I think that I'm done with my random drawing spree... At least for the moment. I don't have much motivation to draw right now, but when, and IF I do, it'll probably just be more headshots of the rest of my characters. I have to find better times to draw, though XD;; I've skipped a couple classes drawing this stuff... XD;;

I've said this before, but I'll say it again: Thanks to everyone who has supported my crappy drawing! You don't know how much it means to me! Honestly. Special thanks to and for giving me loads of tips and feedback outside of dA and on it, too. You guys are awesome! , you've got a gift comin', so look out! ;D

Now, for my readers. I know that I haven't been writing much lately and I do apologise. I get stuck (a lot) when I'm not sure what to write and drawing has prevented me from going through my stupid little fits of depression I experience when I'm not creative. And I also feel as though I'm getting a lot of practice with drawing as I continue with these little sketches. I've noticed that a number of you watch me just because I write and support nothing else that I do. I'm a bit disappointed with that, but I suppose it's to be expected. I AM more of a writer than an artist, but a simple "I like this" or "I hate that" would be appreciated. I may not be the best damn artist on dA and I'm not striving to be, but I'm proud of the progress that I've made, even if it doesn't go beyond sketching.

Okay, SO! I've downloaded GIMP for my laptop recently, and now all I need is a tablet pen for it because I found out that my lappie is tablet pen compatible! So, I don't even NEED a tablet board, just the pen! They can't be too expensive, so I'm thinking of getting one so I can do a couple memes and have some fun! ^___^

And I got my tablet today! 8D Yaaaaay! I can't wait to play around on it! ^^

Back to Basics... Almost

It's been so long since I've had a journal up, so I thought I'd spruce up my page with a new one!

I've been doing a lot of sketching lately, as you can see XD Not the most beautiful creations in the world, but it's nothing short of a miracle for me, seeing how I'm so out of practise with drawing. But a few encouraging words go a long way, you know? So thanks to all that have given me feedback. It's truly appreciated ^^

I've been doodling a lot more than I have been writing and I feel so ashamed T__T I want to write! I really do, but I can't seem to keep away from my sketchbook! But I've also been writing papers for school, so that definitely gets in the way. However, I have been adding tid-bits to "Elise in Wonderland" and I hope to post it up soon.

Quick question: Does anyone know where I can get a good CLEAN reference of a slightly overweight person? Everything that pops up on dA are drawings of disgustingly obese people or something vore related. I swear, every time I see one of those pictures, I seriously consider gouging my eyes out. Feh... Just let me know if you do! >.<;;

So far, this week has been quite interesting. Let's see how the weekend goes!

My birthday was quiet, just like I thought it would be. Had cake and ice cream, though ^^ Wanted an ice cream cake, but this global stock market crash forces us to live within our means, so I had a chocolate box-cake instead XD Still yummy, though! No more birthday parties for me, though. Club-hoppin' next year! Lol.

Yesterday, I was asked by a guy I've been talking to (over the phone and on AIM/YIM) for about a year or so to marry him. >.> Yyyyeah, no. I mean, I haven't even seen this guy in person and he's telling me to come and marry him? I told him that I wasn't ready, but he seemed upset about it and told me that he didn't want to talk to me XD Wasn't much I could do about it. I'm only twenty. Getting married now could be one of my biggest mistakes >.< Especially when I know only so much about him. Not really pressed about the situation, though.

I think I'm gonna put a stop to "Elise in Wonderland" for a bit, simply because my imagination is about as dry as a bone. So, I'll take 's advice and write something else and eventually come back to that story. Hopefully, it works. If not, well, I think I'll take a break from writing for a while. At least until school is done.

Word of advice: Don't ever take more than three college courses if you don't have to -___-; I swear, my social life is at zero. I haven't seen any of my friends outside of school since the school year began! D: And my weekends are booked. I have to work to feed the children @__@ And with all this work and no play, I haven't had a lot of time to sit and write anything. My imagination is dried out at the moment x__x But I do have good news!

Almost done my math class! ^___^ I'm so excited about finally getting out of that class! *is terrible at everything mathematical* All that needs to be done now is my final. But, the bad thing is that I have to study everything that I did months ago >.< I'm a procrastinator at heart, but I'm hoping that it'll get done... Eventually XD;

Â¡Mis cumpleaÃ±os son 7 de octubre! I can't believe that I'll be twenty x___x *is old* Had plans to go to New York, but those didn't work out as planned... Bugged my mum for weeks XD; So, I'm just going to go shopping for clothes and other stuff! Been thinking about trying to save my birthday monies for a tablet, though... I played with one on a mac and it was so neat! And macs are so pretty! *.* I want one of those, too X3

I've actually been having a good week... for once. Here's what's goin' on lately!

Classes start on August 25! DX Honestly, I'm not ready to go back. Community college is basically high school without all of the dumb rules, like raising your hand to be excused to the restroom. Oh, and your classes begin whenever you want them to. But those are the only good things about it ><; I know that I'm definitely taking another English course and possibly an arts class! I'm willing to get my hands messy with paints and clay! I miss my middle-school ceramics class T___T

Along with school guess what else is comin' soon?! The Renaissance Festival! Check it out here --> [link] It's held every year in several states and is heaps of fun! If there's not a renn fest held in your state or local area, you should venture off to one near you! It's a great experience and it's pretty cheap to get in, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't bring any money with you You're bound to buy at least one thing.

I'm even getting a dress made just for the occasion! With 's permission, I'm using the dress that she designed for Alda as my outfit! It's not done yet, but I'm sure it'll be finished before renn fest begins ^^

My dress is nearly done! 8D I tried it on this afternoon and I almost cried! It's so prettiful! *sniffles* It still needs a bit of work, but it should be done soon! ^^ I promise to take a bazillion pictures!

Been writing a lot lately, but still, don't expect anything from me, yet >___< I've still got a lot to do, but if I didn't take my time with writing, you'd be reading a load of crap... Besides, I've got a few things that I need to get out of the way before I can even think about posting:

Planning on painting my room, actually ^^ I picked lavender! *squeals* I'm so excited! I'm tired of seeing the same old sky-blue walls, anyway. I've been staring at the same colour for over ten years, now. I believe it's time for a change, yeah? And it goes so well with the Nightmare Before Christmas theme I have going on already. Nerdish, much?

This is something that I should already know how to do, but I've become so accustomed to riding the bus or getting rides from friends, that it never was much of an issue. But, now, I want to... There hasn't been much excitement in my life, lately. No more puppy poo related accidents at work and no GT dreams to date. I've been working a lot more than usual, so I'm a little tired and a little stressed, but it could be worse, right? And about my job; I'm staying there. No other job will offer me the same amount that I'm being paid now. They only pay minimum wage -____-;; And besides, I just got a raise XD 97/100 on my evaluation X3

So, I've started writing again, but as I've said, I'm having terrible writer's block. Nothing seems to come to mind and I guess it's because I've been working so much that I haven't had the time to think about what it is that I want to write. Have I got a story to tell! D8 There have been a few things that have happened in the last couple weeks...

Last weekend at work was a nightmare! Everything went wrong! This lady brought in a puppy... Now, normally animals aren't allowed in the store, but I don't really care XD As long as they don't disrupt the peace, then they're fine. One of my fellow associates comes and tells me that there's dog crap on the floor. Dog crap! At first, I didn't believe it, so I went to check it out for myself... And there it was. And I was sad. So, I and one of the other girls went to the back to prepare a bucket of bleach water and cleaned it up. A few hours later, another associate tells me that a girl puked in the front of the store. By now, I'm about ready to throw up, myself. So, we go help the poor girl, get her and the puke cleaned up, called security, and sent her on her way. The only difference between the two events is that the girl who puked said something to us! ><;;

Went to the doctors today and no surgery is required! \^___^/ But, I will get a casting of my feets so I can get special orthotics made :3

There is ONE good thing that happened during these hectic two weeks, though :3 I had another GT dream 'cept this time, I had a guest star! Harlen was there! Why? I don't know, exactly But, in the dream, my friends, Harlen and yours truely were sitting on the porch of somebody's house... Not sure who's house it was. Anyway, I was throwing Doritos at Harlen's head (he was human sized, mind you) while my other friends were arguing over vegetarianism and veganism and which was better... And they're neither O.o Then Harlen got pissed off and went back to his normal size and chased me down the street >< I woke up before he could catch me XD

This journal is my personal opinion of the Shrinking Man Message board. It might contain some things that could be offensive to others and if they are, I'm sorry, but I have to get my point across.

It's been a while since I've actually got on SM and looked around at the forums, so I decided to pay it a visit and well, I'm disappointed. What's happened? It's become so quiet and it seems like no one's ever online anymore. I see a couple new posts and that's it. Nothing more than that. Story creativity has dwindled and the idea well is coming up dry. It seems to me that the board is dying and GT isn't as popular as it was when I first joined. That was about a year ago, so, I guess that I should have expected the board to go through changes since then.

Some authors have fallen off the face of the earth or have just stopped posting altogether, including myself, and honestly, it's not as fun as it used to be. The enthusiasm of GT has seemed to evaporate from the board, leaving behind an empty void. The only thing that I see that gets the most attention is the Role-Play and the Art sections of the message board. Sure, there are a few good stories here and there, but only a few catch my attention. Honestly, and no offense, the writing is a little dry. It's what's pushed me away from the board and it may ultimately lead me to leaving. But to those who still post, keep it up!

When I joined SM, I joined because of the atmosphere and the writing. And Hell, the members were nice, too, so I guess I joined to meet others with the same interests in hopes of making friends. Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate every friend that I've made on SM, but it seems pointless for me to stick around anymore. I'm not posting anything and I'm not really active. I post a couple things here and there, but they're only comments and they're nothing important. In short, what I'm trying to say isn't that I don't want to be a part of the GT community anymore, but that I don't want to be a part of its death.

Again, this is my personal point of view of Shrinking Man. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings, but this was bound to happen sooner or later and I felt as though everyone else should hear.

Isha: She represents the shy side of me and the fear of first impressions from others. She is also my creative side, being able to draw and all. In a way, I envy her, but at the same time I'm inspired by her tenacity, which is something I DON'T have.

Okay, so... I've had some very interesting events happen last week ^^

I met a furry XD A boyfriend of one of the girls at work. I never knew that he was one! BUT before anyone goes on about how they can't stand them because they're freaks or whatever, let me just say that he was actually really nice. He wasn't all about yiffy or whatever. He doesn't even own a furry suit. He's down to earth and just really friendly ^^ I don't mind those kind of furries. I like animals, they like animals. It's all good U__U

All of a sudden, people think that I have an extreme deparation to show off my Gaia page avie. Uh, newsflash: I DON'T own a Gaia page. I never have and I'm sure that now I don't want to. I'm not too fond of those who jump to conclusions before they know the enite story. One person also claimed that the character wasn't mine XD If I were more of a bitch, I would have shoved my story right in his/her face. Although, I'm sure that they wouldn't care either way. I have a desire to write, but when I put pen, or pencil , to paper, I can't find the words. It doesn't take much to inspire me; trees, birds, people. But I guess since it's kinda in the middle of Winter now, there aren't many birds... and the trees are naked. Poor naked trees .

Ah, 'tis the Holiday season. Turkey, ham, and all the fixin's are set on the table; friends and family come from all around to enjoy the holidays with you. And everything seems to be perfect... nothing can go wrong, right?

Two words: BLACK FRIDAY!!!!!! The day directly after Thanksgiving!! DX I could have sworn that I was going to die today!!! The ENTIRE mall was packed full of people and they kept destroying the store! Everyone that I know who works at Forever 21 was there today, some were there since five in the morning! I feel so sorry for them... Chances are that they'll have Saturday off... Lucky... *sigh*

Well, anyways, I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. ^^ And hopefully you didn't get too full off of turkey. Of couse I had Tofurkey, which doesn't really taste like turkey, more like turkey AND stuffing blended together. Nether the less, it was good and I enjoyed it much. I think that every one, including me, had a bit of Internet withdrawl today. The Internet on campus kept going in and out, so I'd lose info or lose connections with people who I was talking to at the time. But, I was able to try and not think about it... Instead of burning my eyes out in front of the computer screen, I read, which is something that I haven't done in a while. Criss Angel's MINDFREAK: Secret Revelations is a really good book and I recomend it to those who like magic that is beyond just card tricks and vanishing acts. Oh, and the show's good too! Plus, if you don't watch it, you're missin' out on the sexy. ;D Lol.

The idea of that video that I was going on about a couple journals back is haunting me... I MUST do it! DX I have to find a way to somehow learn flash.... Again... and to actually fall through with these "plans". Though, can't really even call them plans because nothing's actually been planned out. It was no more than a passing thought, but I guess that after a little while, that thought can become a plan... I guess...

I think that I won't survive to see next week. I have about three papers due. One of which I have to turn in tomorrow... and it's not quite finished yet. It's nothing that's so serious that I'm going to explode from the amount of pressure, but it's just the time that we have to do it. College is nothing like high school. But, that's what I get for having parents that work for a company that'll pay for their child's classes as long as she/he is a full-time student... ><;; And since my brother nor my sister took advantage of that opportunity, I did. I never would have believed that college could be this stressful. A little tough, but never stressful.

Since receiving my camera, I'm going to take more pictures!!! 'Cause that's the only art that I can do... TT-TT Damn, untalented hands! D: Eek! I made a duck in Arts class today!!! I named him Henry. :3 But I think that sculpture is something that I may have some amount of talent at... He turned out quite nicely, if I do say so myself. ^__^

For some unknown reason, I have had the sudden urge to go into media!!! Isn't that crazy?! x_X;; It's the damn fairies, I tell you!!! The fairies!!! I had a good birthday, although I had to work and I feel like I'm one hundred years old. @_@ My boss made me cupcakes the day before my birthday and then she brought me presents on my birthday! TT-TT I didn't want her to buy me anything, but it was super sweet of her. My birfday wish had came true, though! I gots me one of them fancy picture taking machines!!! =B

Yay! I've started writing again and I'm extremely proud of myself for it. ^^ *beams* I've sketched out the skeleton of a story that I PLAN TO FINISH... Damned writer's block... ><;;; And I'm also writing a memoir!!! ^^ Yay!!! My childhood memories are always laughable and quite sad... But it makes for good entertainment, right?

Okay... Now for the not so good news...

I may have Endometriosis (look it up)... Just from how it sounds, it seems to be a serious thing, and unfortunately for me, it kinda is... I may have to get surgery. Although I've had surgery before, I can't help but to have a sense of dread over this. My aunt had it really bad as a teen and wound up having a Hysterectomy... I can't say that I want that, but if it's as bad as it seems, well... Nyah...

To make things even worse... I've got a cold. ><;;; *cough* Great...

GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Blaqk Audio concert was unbelievable!!!! I was in the front of the crowd, only feet away from them. If I were closer, I could have got a bracelet... >< Damnit! Davey was awesome on stage!!! He made me laugh and almost made me cry... Don't know why... Jade, well, he was pretty stoic op there... Playing the keyboard an' stuff. But oh so purdy!!! 6 HOURS!!! We (Me, Tif, and Heather; Or Cheese, Mayonnaise, and Kosher Pickles XD) had to wait 6 hours just to get inside and get our tickets!!!! DX Although it was a long wait, we had fun. Good thing that we had already brought ours and just had to pick them up. X)

We had Jamaican soda and it was soooooooo good! We also had a belching contest and I won! XDD I didn't have a thing to eat that intire day 'cept some vegan waffles that morning... But I wasn't hungry... And that's weird. 'Specially for me. Lol. Too excited, I guess. ;

The whole time Davey was onstage, he moved like a bird and he LOOKED like a bird! @_@ I just wanted to shout "Ca-caw, ca-caw!!!" at him. Lol! Over all, I had a great time and I want to relive it "Again, Again, and Again." ^^

My art class is going to keep me busy this semester seeing how I'll have to contantly run around from play to play and from concert to concert. Art musuems and dance performances lie in wait... Just beckoning me to come... And I LOATHE art musuems... they're so... creepy.... XD But I do love art! I get to go back to the Reniassance Festival on meh birthday and I go on a trip to NYC sometime this month, so I have a lot to do... OH!!! and the bestest thing that comes out of this mess is that I get to see Blaqk Audio in D.C. on the 8th of this month!!!!! I'm so excited!!! XD

I've started writing again!!! But unfortunately, it's not the stories that I'm supposed to be writing... It's a very morbid story that I came up with just this morning. It made me smile; Never thought that I could be so "deliciously evil" in the morning.

Damn you, Forever 21 and your evilness! How dare you make me work on a holiday!!!! You knew that I had the day off from school!!!! Grrr.... Okay, I feel better now that's out of my system. Lol.

My entire summer was wasted at work and I didn't really have any time to myself seeing that I was working almost everyday! *sigh* Oh well... Thank goodness that I'll be seeing less of that place when I go back to school. I've been worring myself to death about taking six classes and working on the weekends. The only shitty part about having to work the weekends is that I'll have to work EVERY Saturday 'till the end of September! Well, at least until futher notice... But still! I made cookies!!! And they weren't burned at the bottoms this time! Wooh! ^o^ I made them veeeeeegan and brought them to work. Everyone liked them, but some complained about the chives and their evil!!! Curse you, chives!!!! I recently found out that Forever 21 is vegan. O.o Yes, yes, a bit late, I know, but I was happy when I found out that I work in a cruelty free store! Well, ALMOST... If my actions were as cruel and destructive as my thoughts are, then I'd probably be serving time for doing away with a few customers... Which would explain the store being ALMOST cruelty free... XD;

School starts again soon... *sigh* Buh-bye computer... Buh-bye life... Hello tons and tons of school work and ridiculous hours at work... If I suddenly disappear, that means that I've either died from exhaustion or that I'm locked in my room doing homework or at work, ready to rip someone's spine out.

Okay, I should have posted this up a while back, but I was being lazy at the time. A couple weeks ago, I had this really trippy dream. I've told a select few people about it already, so if you've heard about it, you don't have to read. But I digress.

I drempt that I was in this really pretty church with a dome roof. It was gold and white and I think that something was painted on the ceiling... I don't remember. So, I'm looking around and the audience seemed to go on forever!

The pews never stopped and every seat was filled and I knew no one there! Not one face was familiar to me. I looked at myself and saw that I was in this beautiful wedding gown. It was a strapless white (and I think gold) dress with a long, long trail. My vail was over my head (so you could see my face) and my hair was in this elegant bun with little white pearls or something in it. I think that they were pins?

And then the preacher said, "you may now kiss the bride" and the roof of the church opened up and this HUGE hand came in and laid palm up beside me and that's when I woke up. I don't think that I was ever as confused in my life as I was now! It was so creepy! I've never had a dream quite like that one before!

Umm... I had got bored.

Just a question: Is catnip a drug? Like Pot is? Lol, if you have a kitty, give him/her some cat nip and observe. My cat was all mellow and crap when I gave her some. It made me laugh...And well, during a roleplay that I was playing in with a friend, I was a neko (damn! I can't get away from them!!!>.< ) and I had got some catnip from an ally cat (lol, typical...). Davey walked in and tried to lock me in his big dark room (Despair Factor) because I'm straight edge, but I had cat nip! Okay, so it's not that funny...

Forever 21 is a great store. I love it, I do...But my feet are keeling me!!! I want to...TO....RAAAAHHHH!!!! There, I feel better. Lol.

Okay, job! Yay! I finally got a job. God knows I needed one...Or did he? Did I tell him...? *shrugs* Oh well. Aaaaanyways, I need to get rid of da Neko madness!!! I want to write about nekos now but I can't 'cause I'm too busy writing other stories!!!! *screams* *pant pant* Eh, it'll work out.

I NEED SLEEP! I feel like a ! I am the walking dead! Oy...If school didn't exsist, I'd get more sleep. Now that I have a job, sleep is NOT an option. I need coffee...

Ooh! OOH!!! Have I a story to tell! Okay, this is truuuuuues! I was walking with a friend to the bus stop. We had just got out of school and were about to go home. We came to this stairwell which leads to a hospital parking lot. From there we go down some more stairs and go to the bus stop. Weeeeelll, I decided to be a clown and run down this stairwell. There are more than twenty steps, mind you, made ENTIRELY of metal and concrete.

While I was running, for some reason, I couldn't stop!!! I nearly fell and broke my leg! (I could feel my leg twist a bit) I was lucky!!! Sooooooo lucky!!! The only thing that I got from it all was a scratch. Just a little cut!! I laughed death (well, maybe not death...) in the face! BOOYAH!!! I think that cat bite I received from when I worked at the vet's office gave me some type of kitty cat powers..Lol, at least that's what my friend said. Well, that's the end...

OMG!!!!! I couldn't be any happier! I want to cry, scream and vomit! Yay! I haven't been happy enough to combine those three yet! But there's a first for everything, right? did a most excellent job on her fan art for my story Father Figure. Go worship her!!! And while you're at it, look at her other works. they are just as worthy to be praised!
