I think that sometimes artists forget that their ... 'fans' for lack of a better term.... usually do not know them as a person. They come to appreciate the art and over time they can become friends... but they seldom get to know the reasons for the names that are used in the first place. When an artist changes names, those that enjoy the art do not know that the artist associates his or her 'known' name with an ex, or that it was something that came from a now half forgotten RP, or whatever. All they know is the name they knew is going away. They may very well watch the new account and enjoy the art there-in, but in many ways the new name is a NEW PERSON to them. They miss (insert old name here)'s work even as they are learning to like {or not} (insert new name here)'s style. In short, if all you know is the name, then leaving the old name behind often leaves behind the old relationship. Now I am not saying that if I had started posting art at 12 and had outgrown the previously peachy name of 'DaFlyingToe' or something that I would not want to change it. What I am saying is that sometimes we change our names too easily and with too little concern for those who might morn its passing.

Just my 2 cents, don't throw banana peals.... though if you want to throw me a carrot, welll, I guess I could live with that.

Not many girls appreciate nice guys anymore. And because of this, there are not many left out there. I guarantee 90% of the men on your page will not repost this because they care more about their image.

I know I have not been posting for a long time now, but I am still here.

I have been having alot of problems in my personal life that has left me unable to post art, even though I still have been drawing some. Hopefully that will change soon. In any case, I have a problem that, perhaps, you can help me with.

I have been seriously considering changing what I am and am leaning toward .... skunk. However I have not quite come up with my new look yet. If one of you would like to take a crack at it, I would consider it your half of an art trade.

Now let me say upfront that I agree with these people, DA's policies on several factors, including tracing, are wrong...... but in my mind leaving does nothing to correct the problem. All that will happen is the kind of folks who steal artists work will stay here and copy your art from whereever you put it..... and you will not be here to call them on it. You will not be here to complain to the admins about wrongheaded policies nor will you be here to let folks who praise these wanna-bes know that the art was stolen.

I do not look down on you for leaving, it is certainly your right to do so.... I just don't understand the reasoning behind it. Take care everyone and if an admin reads this...... I may be staying here but until some of the policies change there is not a snowballs chance that I will be subscribing (as I had planned to do starting the beginning of this year.)....
