Woo! I finally got stuff moved in at the new place. It was horribly hot packing and moving shit and me and Brian got sick while doing it. It's soooooo much better than that ghetto, roach infested apartment I was living before. The new place is an awesome two story house that I'm living in with my fiance' and another married couple. I only have to pay 300 for my part of the rent and 50 bucks for direct TV and wireless internet, and it already has a washer and dryer. I'm glad to be here, now all I need is to find a job up here.

Tiny little fish
Shes a little fish from the deep blue sea,
Ponyo, Ponyo, Ponyo! She's a little girl
Shes a little girl with a round tummy.

The movie itself barely had a plot, and the ending was meh like in most all Ghibli movies, but it was worth seeing anyway. It was like cute overload. My friend *ChibiSofa nearly died of the overwhelming cuteness that ensued. I'd say it gave everyone warm fuzzies.

The hand drawn art and animation was wonderfully done also. Looooved it how stylized everything was. As I said, it's worth seeing.

I'm a vegetarian that's mad at vegetarians

This is just ridiculous.

I hate the holier than thou vegetarian or vegan that thinks humans shouldn't eat meat at all in order to live in harmony with nature and be a better person. Vegetarians should not force their lifestyle on anyone. Also, instead of cutting out something we've been eating for millions of years to save the planet, why don't we just change how factories are run or how change how animals are fed?

The way I look at it, yes, you should get your meat from a butcher and it SHOULD be a free range animal. You SHOULD know where your meat comes from. If an animal DOES have it's life taken for you to eat it, then it should live well until then.
We've been eating meat since we became, well humans. Our bodies were designed to eat meat along with veggies. For some reason people miss this point. Higher animals eat lower animals. If we were designed to only eat veggies, we would only eat veggies and have digestive systems resembling that of cows and other herbivorous animals.
The point is, that we were designed to eat both and a balanced diet of both will make you healthy. You can be a vegetarian and lead a healthy life, but they lack the vitamins that meat eaters have. A new study has been conducted that vegetarians are six times more likely to have brain shrinkage because of this vitamin deficiency. Vegetarians also have weaker bones. You have to work extra hard and constantly take supplements to get these vitamins without eating meat.

Yes, I am a vegetarian. I was raised that way.
Will I go back to meat? Probably not, don't like it that much anyway.

I won't give you dirty looks for eating your steak in front of me.

Watch this movie if you haven't seen it already. It is a 2008 Israeli animated documentary film written and directed by Ari Folman. It depicts Folman in search of his lost memories from the 1982 Lebanon War. Don't look up any descriptions in Wikipedia or any other review website, you're better off just watching it first. Fucking amaaaazing work.

Now go, watch this movie!

UPDATE: (again)
I have four damn days to get enough money for the deposit on my new place and I don't get paid until the 20th. Shit, I don't know what we're gonna do. Anyone wanna buy arts?

UPDATE: I found a place! And we've been approved! Now the even harder part- having enough money for the security deposit for the new place, bills, car payment, and rent for the last month at the old place. Stressssssssss

So our fucken bitch stupid fuck landlady gave us a 30 day notice to move out of our apartment. She hates my boyfriend because he actually stands up to her and her shit. She blamed a roach infestation on us, and didn't tell us that the walls had lead paint and asbestos in them until we signed the papers. We had no choice but live here because of such short notice. She would say that things would happen and get upgraded, but then go back on it. We had to buy an air conditioner and put it up ourselves even though she said at the beginning of our lease that she would send people out to help us with that. The only thing she told us was to not cut up her blinds when we put the AC in. Now we need to find an apartment by the 25th of September, which won't be too hard, but we barely have enough money as it is. She won't give us the option of continuing our lease. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge. A lot of suckage is going on. I don't know how I'll have enough money for the deposite on a new place and everything.

Sigh...

I'll try to stay positive..

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Hope everyone has an awesome holiday.

I went to vizio's x-mas party last saturday. It was fun and vizio was raffling off some awesome gifts like 50" plasma Tv's, Wii's, trips to France a Playstation, and stuff like that. What did I win? A fricken' 25 buck gift card to olive garden, a movie gift card and a food chopper, while some guy who's been working at visio for 3 days got the PS3. EF THAT.
Since we reached the 3 million tv mark, all Vizio employees got a 200$ american express gift card which is awesome. This company has awesome benefits and bonuses since we only started in 2001 and sold about 3 million tvs already.

Vizio is an awesome company to work for and it has great benefits, but it is not the type of work that's for me. I never have time to draw because I'm too tired from waiting through traffic on my way home. I have to do all my errands on the weekends since everything closes by the time I get out of work. I have to be on the phone all day with idiot customers who think they know more than the people who are actually trained to do technical support, or customers who want their tv fixed right now because they have 3 kids that absolutely need to watch tv. It's just a couple days for a repair, Read a fucken book people

Anyway, I need to find a way to start my business. A 9-6 job with a half an hour to an hour commute is not for artists. You can feel yourself age as you go through this whole process day in and day out.

So yeah, I'll be trying to draw more to get out of workin for the man.

Just when I thought everything would be fine, and we'd finally be rid of this shitty apartment complex something horrible happens again. We're supposed to move into my new place on Monday, which means we have one more weekend at the shitty place. When me and Brian came home from lunch, we found that the trunk to Brian's car was open. Someone broke into Brian's car, ruffled through his suitcase and STOLE my FUCKEN' IPOD from his FUCKEN' CAR!!!! My FUCKEN IPOD!!!!!! SO FUCKEN MAD!!!!! The only reason I could get an Ipod was by applying for a credit card. Now it's gone. Good thing Brian brought in the PS3 the night before so at least that's safe. But I seriously hate this place more than ever now.

If I ever catch who ever did it, I'll beat the shit outta them.

I finally found a new apartment and I'm gonna move outta this shitty, horribly managed, termite infested place soon!

The awesome part? It's down the street from Disneyland and the Anaheim convention center! Anime Expo better be at Anaheim next year..

I'm gonna do the 100 theme challenge with every single one of my characters ever made! If I remember all of them..

It's Brian's Birthday on Sunday, but he's leaving this weekend to visit his parents so I got him a birthday cake from Black Market Bakery. I drew a zombie chewing on a cartoony Brian's head and gave the design to them and they made an awesome looking cake that tasted amazing. Mmmm brains and chocolate ganache....

I just finished penciling my first issue of my bleach Doujin. Wee!!! I'm getting the hang of drawing ichigo's hair now, which is one of the hardest things to draw in bleach.

I'm a Rukia X Ichigo fan and it'll be obvious in the comic, because that's how it should be!!! They're perfect for each other. But from what I've read recently of the Bleach Manga, I don't know if it'll ever happen.

For those of you who like deep artsy anime, you should watch Mushishi. Even if you don't like anime, you should watch it.

It's an awsome and beautifully done show about "ubiquitous creatures called Mushi that often display supernatural powers. Mushi are described as beings in touch with the essence of life, far more basic and pure than the grotesque creatures we are accustomed to. Due to their ephemeral nature most humans are incapable of perceiving Mushi and are oblivious to their existence, but there are a few who possess the ability to see and interact with Mushi.

The main character Ginko, is a Mushi-shi, a sort of mushi doctor or master, traveling from place to place in order to research Mushi and aid those suffering from problems caused by them. He cannot stay at a place for a long time since he has the curse of attracting Mushi

I absolutely love this show.

Great Eastern Animation has a habit if ripping off freelancers and stealing artwork from them. I did some plushie designs for them and they said that the artwork would get approved in 30 days. That was back in October. I still haven't been paid and they still haven't contacted me at all.

I've then learned that many other artists were ripped off by GE animation also.

So if they ever offer a job to you as a freelancer, don't be pulled in.

My bird got out of its cage while the ceiling fan was on and she flew into it. Poor thing got hit in the head at the top of her right eye. She flew all eratically with her head cocked back and then flew into my front door. My boyfriend was holding it and thought it was dead. When it came to, it didn't know what happened so she skwaked horribly for a while then bit him hard. He put it back into the cage and it sat at the bottom. It then layed an egg at the bottom of the cage. She was in heat, so the shock probably made her poo out an egg. She's blind in that one eye now. Birds usually die when they hit a ceiling fan, luckily she's alive, but she'll never fly right ever again. Poor thing....

I applied for a second job to work in the morning, so i could make more money than the video game store i work at currently at night. I applied at sanrio surprises and about 2 months later, they call me up for an interview. When i had the interview, i told the korean lady, who was the manager, that i could only work mornings. She hired me and told me i'd start training the next day, but at a sanrio in a farther location than the one i applied at, since they didn't need a morning person at the laguna store. So i started training. When i asked for next weeks' schedule, the assistant manager chick told me to call the manager, since the manager was talking about switching me to the laguna store. I called the manager and she said that the schedule should already be posted. I thought, "wait, she said she was going to switch me to laguna.." So i asked her about it. She said she didn't know and wanted to discuss this with the assistant manager and that she would call me back when she figured it out. She didn't call me back, so I called her back, oh I'd say about 5 times in a span of a few days, trying to know what my schedule would be. I finally get a hold of her at mission viejo.
And she tells me this: that they don't need a morning person at the mission viejo store, and that I can't work at the laguna store cause I can't run the morning shift all by myself. I've only been working there a total of 2 days and they don't give me the job at laguna because I can't run the store by myself. I specifically fucking told them what hours i can and can't work and they fire me after they hired me on the spot and trained me for 2 fucking days.
Man FUCK part time jobs. seriously. I'm sick of always getting fucked up jobs.
