CWeeks has given me information that will be much more effective than a petition to Boycott the wannabe Jeffrey Dahmer...Guillermo Vargas Habacuc.

He has provided me with the name, address, phone numbers and email of the museum that he will be at.

Everyone that reads this must act and spam email the museum until they cancel the event and the animal killer that calls himself and artist will be boycotted. Tying a street dog to a rope and starving the poor defenseless creature to death for exhibition is disgusting, evil, and he plans to do it again.

They hold an event on the 1st Thursday of every month with a different theme where artists show their works. heres a link [link]


I went there last night and i had so much fun. It was a very inspiring night for me bc i don't ever go to these events. The theme last night was about women. Women artists did artwork about women.

I had to go there for my Drawing 1 class and I didn't expect to have so much fun. There was food and the music was great.


I got to talk to some of the artists there also:

For another class I had to sketch my favorite paintings and while i was sketching my favorite of all by Pat Zalisko's "Carmen in Red" she came around and noticed I kept coming back to her piece. So we had a conversation about it and she briefly explained the process she went through to create the piece. Carmen in Red is a mixed media piece of a Flamenco Dancer in a vibrant red dress. Rose Jefferson is an amazing watercolor artist. She was the gift shops' artist of the month at OMA and her paintings used bright colors and tropical scenes. I sketched two of her works there. We talked and some of her paintings are about her worrying about about her son going to fight in the war in Iraq. She's very nice woman and has this positive energy that seems to radiate from her.

It was nice to meet the local artists from my hometown and get a taste of the art scene.
