1. I have learned to whistle! (kinda...)
2. Waited in line outside a store for the first time ever (for the Wii)
3. Found "The Place" (It's a little bridge crossing an awesome creek. Very good for contemplations)
4. Gotten much better at standing up for myself. (Especially when my room is invaded by drunk peoples...)
5. Staying up until 6am talking about random stuff with dorm-mates (awesome times)
6. Got my first job! (It's work study, but hey! )
7. TALLY HALL. (I really love this band. ^_^;; )
8. Still dont have a special lady...(Maybe soon I'll find her though. ^_^d)
9. Satisfactory grades (2.74 ain't too bad.)
10. A really super awesome adopted sister. (Um, not much more to say about that. ^_^)

A lot has been going on lately and it seems like everyone around me is in crisis. I wish I was less occupied with schoolwork so I could give my friends more attention. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot and not treating the people I care about as well as I should...
School and stress and stress and school. A 12 page paper written in four days and now a 5 page one due in two. I'm not worried about it, but a paper a week makes it hard to focus on other school work without getting burnt out. ...or maybe I am burnt out.
I hope for some encouraging words, but they rarely come without provocation. Am I doing the right things anymore? Am I giving the right advice? I feel like my words are all too often unheard or misinterpreted... I want to help everyone, but who will help me? Maybe I just need a hug. Well, onward and through, I hope this day gets better...

Happy stuff!

I finally got Tally Hall's CD, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum! It rocks! I'm pretty impressed with the new songs (Taken for a Ride, Spring and a Storm) and the remixed old songs ain't bad either! Greener is much better...not sure what I think of the new Ruler of Everything though...
I got to play Phoenix Wright and DreamMix TV over at my good pal Eric's place. DreamMix is awesome. It's like Konami vs. Hudson vs. Takara...so basically, Solid Snake vs. Bomberman vs. Optimus Prime. ^_^d
Phoenix Wright was also pretty awesome, a definate buy for me...as soon as I can find any stores that haven't sold-out. >.<
Snow: Friend or Foe?! Friend: The stuff looks freakin' awesome. The whole dock area here outside the boat is frozen over. I want to take a picture of it, but I have no camera. T_T
I'm also working on a little short story, I might post it here once I get it goin'.

Not-So-Happy Stuff...

So, we use a diesel stove for heating here, right? It's like a woodstove, but fueled by diesel. Well the other night the inner part of it exploded, I guess the fuel was turned way up, but the fan was off so it overheated or something. Anyways, no one was hurt, but it shot smoke and soot ALL OVER the inside of the boat. So guess what I've been doing today?! Cleaning! But ugh...this stuff got everywhere...I plan to clean out ol' compy once I get back to the dorms.
Snow: Friend or Foe?! Foe: So, even with having a diesel stove, since the boat is surrounded by water, it loses heat pretty quickly. Well the cold conditions as of late haven't helped that much...it's seriously like a freakin' refridgerator in here.
We get to move back into the dorms tomorrow...problem is...I'm still not really sure how I'm going to pay for this semester...my parents and grandparents both said that they dont want to cosign on a loan with me...and I still owe the school $6500. I dont know what to do.

So it's finals week next week. Funny how the week before finals is the one where everyone goes nuts. I'm actually looking forward to finals. I mean, you go in, take a test, then leave. No boring lecture, no waste-of-time assignments. No problem!

Day of the Ninja was depressing, I was the only one around here who actually did anything Ninja-esque. I scared a few people and made the Japanese students laugh at me, but at least I helped make the world a little more deadly for one day... I only hope there were others out there who ninja'd it up too!

When we got back to the dorms, a guy down the hall from me who had just got off work from Best Buy said that they had 60 Wii's down there and that the line was relatively short...and that one lady had actually been camping out there for two days waiting for the Wii...talk about devotion. So we hopped back in the car and hauled down to Best Buy at around 11:00.
We got there and were about 10th in line. Wii's in the bag, right? Well after sitting around a while and talking with the other Wii-waiters, we learned that instead of opening at midnight like Fred Meyer and Wal-Mart, Best Buy was opening at 9:00am...After a short meeting, we decided to send two people in the car to go see when Target was opening, while two others, Kali and myself held our place in line. About 25 minutes and three games of Tetris DS later, the two arrived back at Best Buy with dissapointing news. Target was also opening at their regular hours, 8:00am.
Since we knew that Best Buy had 60, but were unsure then how many Wiis Target had, we decided it would be a safer bet to go back to the dorms, sleep, and wake back up at 5:00am and rejoin the Best Buy line. Well...I didn't sleep, but 5 hours later we were on our way back to Best Buy.
The line had grown slightly since we were gone. Now I was 25th in line, and my dorm-buddy Shane, 24th. We quickly befriended a few of the people who came into line behind us, including a few fathers with their sons, and picked up some good pre-release rumors.
So we sat, stood, talked, and waited...then I saw the seagulls...
Seagulls fly inland when there's a storm at sea, and usually there's pretty good chances that storm will hit us too. I made mention of this to Shane, but he didn't care and looked at me like I was retarded. Sure enough a few hours later it began to rain...then pour.
...fuckin' seagulls...
Luckily Shane had a few extra jackets in his trunk, so I was kept much more dry than if I was only wearing my zipperless black jacket. It actually wasn't as miserable as I thought it would have been in the rain, sure we were wet and cold, but getting to watch the sun rise was an awesome sight. Not to mention after the wait was through I'd be a proud owner of a Nintendo Wii!
At 8:00am, an hour before opening, they handed out tickets, ensuring us our Wiis. About 30 minutes later, we were allowed to enter, 5 people at a time, and select what we wanted to purchase with our Wiis. Games, accessories, controllers, etc. I snagged a copy of Zelda: Twilight Princess, they didn't seem to have Metal Slug Anthology else I would have grabbed that too. I also let myself get roped into buying a $40 2GB Flash card, the employees said the Wii didn't have internal memory. LIARS! >=[ I haven't opened the package for the Flash Card and I intend to take it back and get a game instead, maybe this time they'll have Metal Slug!

So that's the story. I was wet, tired, hungry, had to pee, and out $346 (beats "5 hundred and ninety-nine US dollars!"), but it's totally worth it, for both the experience and the games.

So I've been doin' the whole college thing 'round here. Just had midterms and did decently on most of 'em...well, at least I'm not failing anymore. Writing class had an almost complete turn-around in terms of enjoyabliliy. C# Programming still bores the hell out of me. Today I looked up Mortal Kombat on Wikipedia during class just to keep myself from falling asleep...and I hate MK...^_^;

Got a work study at the International Office of International Internations. I'm their little office lackey who does all the odd jobs like make flyers and organize bulletein boards. Thrilling work indeed. At least it's a job and I can start saving up for next semester's tuition and books.

Feelin' pretty good in general...at least better than yesterday, but I wont go into that right now... It's funny how even in a dorm full of people one can still get a case of the gloom and doom. ...at least I'm not still on that freaking boat though. (woo!)

I miss Mint Skittles and good conversations.

Um...yes. His father's still alive, but missing. His mother was arrested and executed under the pretense of treason when Shinyu was 5. I keep changing his parents story though so this may be completely wrong in a week.

Yes, he's traveling the land looking for his father. He has no one to stay with anyways, except for friends of his parents.

Numero Uno: I'm almost always moving, whether it be me tapping my foot or playing with lint in my pocket. I call it my "Gamer's Twitch".
