Just a list of things I picked up or found highly amusing that I wanted to share. These are from the various interviews, deleted scenes, bloopers, and outtakes from the DVD bonus features. Some of the references are ambiguous but I didn’t wanna give too much away. Of course, I’d be happy to explain any of them in more detail. And I’m not done watching them, so I’ll probably be adding to this. I kept with using the character’s name rather than the actor’s name, just because I find it more amusing that way

1.	Nero chews a lot of gum
2.	Lil Nero is kind of adorable
3.	Orions all look the same to Jim
4.	Spock’s preferred coffee appears to be Starbucks
5.	McCoy is astonished at Spock’s use of, shall I say, more colorful metaphors
6.	Both Spocks have ample knowledge of colorful metaphors
7.	Chekov thinks he’s the weirdest member of the crew
8.	No one understands Jim & Sulu’s brand of humor
9.	Sarek has some cool outfits-hello, brown crocodile skin jacket!
10.	Sarek’s preferred mode of transport? Giant hoverbike
11.	Sarek is clearly happy at the birth of his son
12.	Sarek is clearly confused at possibly knowing of Spock Prime’s presence
13.	In terms of casting, Spock immediately recognized who his Jim should be
14.	Spock Prime knows that younger Spock “has no idea what he’s getting into”
15.	Spock Prime lets younger Spock know that he is “screwed”
16.	Someone should report Jim’s uncle to child services
17.	Lt. Uhura should know that Irish!Spock “luvvvves herrrrrr”
18.	Sometimes Spock just “can’t keep it together!” XD
19.	Chekov is a whiz at 2D chess
20.	One of Spock’s fav phrases- “Oh my gawd!”
21.	The Spocks seem to have developed a friendship, which is nothing short of adorable
22.	Jim & Spock also developed a friendship, which I suppose is the point of the whole thing
23.	Everyone agrees that younger Bones channels some kind of McCoy Prime energy
24.	Both Spocks have especially nice smiles <3
25.	Spock sometimes wears glasses to hide his eyebrows
26.	Some of the writers wanted Kirk Prime there…for whatever reason
27.	Uhura Prime and Chekov Prime both seem to approve of younger Uhura & Chekov
28.	Dropping a Centurion Slug down someone’s throat is harder than it looks
29.	Spock can look extremely and comically pouty
30.	Be warned that when Bones says he may throw up on you, he might actually do it
31. Vulcan kids like pizza
32. Spock Prime wants his ears pointing forwards, not backwards
33. Spock plucks his own eyebrows
34. You have earn a theme, theme songs just dont get handed to you

...to where I've been before, for far too long now. Back at school I be, although this is my last full term. After this it should theoretically be downhill, as I'll only have a couple classes left that I couldnt otherwise fit in.

Beatlefest was great. Fest #20 for me! It was really fun. Liverpool was amazing, as usual, and they did a bunch of stuff from Abbey Road, as its 40 this year. Earl Slick was one of the guests, he played on John's Double Fantasy album. The man just exudes coolness. There were also 2 demos of RockBand set up for people to try and it looked really fun, not to mention the music sounded great.

I'm still very much Trekking out, as I only bought a couple Beatles things while I was at Fest. The rest of the time I was in the marketplace, I was looking for any random Trek items. You never know what those vendors may have. And amazingly enough, I was able to locate some Trek items! Success.

Drawing-wise, obviously I've just done one. I've got plans to try my hand at drawing Bones, both Karl Urban's and DeForest Kelley's. So we'll see how that goes. Only with school now I'm not gonna be as quick in churning these out.

UPDATE- Yeah there's been an unexpected delay in my goal to draw some Bones-ness. So hopefully I can get the issue fixed soon so that I can get to work on them....

...where I havent gone before! Yes, my newfound Star Trekyness is still very much on my mind and I am still majorly obsessing over it I've seen the new movie many times now (and yes, one theater near me still has it!). I've been trying to get my hands on all kinds of Trek stuff and am still flooding myself with it from every angle. I certainly never expected my interest to be this strong or last this long. But hey! it's kind of a means of escapism for me, so if I think about Trek, I wont be thinking about my other problems that are going on.

My quest to watch the entire original series is still going. So far I've seen almost all of the first 2 seasons, and about half of the third. I'm also trying to get my hands on some of the movies just to see what they're like. I've also gone a little farther and watched Next Generation when I can catch it. I dont like it as much as the original series, but its certainly not a waste of time to watch (and hello, Patrick Stewart!).

I'm currently in the middle of another re-do of a drawing I did almost 3 years ago, of Doc Hudson from Cars. I realise the way I drew him before could definitely be an improvement. This seems to be the summer I redo all my crappy stuff. Or as much of it as I feel like. It's kinda boring and tedious redoing things you've already done. That should be done by the end of the month at the latest. Other than that, I may have still another Spock coming if I can figure out how to pull it off...

Yeah, considering my state of mind right now I HAD to say that. Well, I havent written anything here in awhile! Mainly cuz nothing much has gone on that I felt i needed to comment about. Well now something new has taken over my mind. What is it? Well look at the title! You'll soon figure it out....no? Star Trek, people!

I wasnt sure whether to see this movie because A) I knew almost nothing about the TV show, and B) I already love Star Wars and in my nerdy state of mind I wasnt sure if I could like both. But I asked around and people told me it was okay to like both, plus a friend who had already seen it said you didnt have to know the TV show to enjoy it. So I saw the movie and I absolutely adore it!

I totally fell in love with Zachary Quinto's Spock. Aside from the fact that he's totally hot, there's just something about him. Maybe cuz he's different from all the rest. Maybe because he's so conflicted, having all these human emotions, but the Vulcan will to constantly control them (that doesnt even go into what he feels after experiencing a great personal loss, which i wont give away, in case anyone hasnt seen it yet). Maybe too it's because we have a few personality traits in common.

So now I've also been seeking out the original series to get more familiar with the characters, and of course, see more of Spock in action. There's definitely going to be at least one Spock drawing coming soon, if not more.

...Maxwell plays the fool again, teacher gets annoyed" Sorry, little quote there from Maxwell's Silver Hammer, off the Abbey Road album. Well here we are into another year and I just posted by first drawing of the New Year. Kind of an unexpected one, really. And here I am into another term at uni. ('hence' the quote, and Abbey Road is 40 years old this year )

So in my spare time I've been obsessing over the TV show Blackadder which I recently discovered last week (although I was aware of it before that). It starred Rowan Atkinson and I think there were 4 series of it, each taking place during a different period in time. Blackadder II is what I'm currently into and it takes place during the Elizabethan period. I've watched the whole series 2 and am starting to each series 3 which takes place during the late 18th or early 19th century I think.

...but I cant help it!" Which is a quote from the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol starring Alastair Sim. Remember my total Halloween-ocity two months ago? No? Well it was there. And now I'm feeling very Christmassy. Also excited about me birthday coming up in....3 weeks! Whoo!

Yeah so it took me awhile but I'm feeling very festive right now. I'm on a couple different kicks at the moment. I've got a Miser Brothers kick. Anyone know them? From that Rankin/Bass special Year Without a Santa Claus? Anyway, I've been playing Snow Miser's and Heat Miser's parts so much I could probably say them in my sleep. I just find them so funny! And their theme songs are pretty catchy. Plus Snowy's my guy. I love the cold and the winter Why? Cuz I'm a nut, I guess.

AND over the last couple days I've gotten A Christmas Carol kick, which is weird cuz I've always liked the story but not as much as this year (Such an odd year it's been for me in regards to stuff like that!). I've come to the conclusion that Alastair Sim does the best portrayal of Scrooge, and at times he's kinda amusing, even when he's being mean. The part at the end when he visits his nephew kinda gets me, too. But he's great at showing all the emotions he has to display from anger to sadness, to fear, to joy. It's also the one that sticks closest to the book. I've also come to the conclusion though that the 1970 musical version, Scrooge starring Albert Finney, has my fav supporting characters! It's got my fav Bob Crachit, Fezziwig, Marley, this hilarious soup guy (Tom Jenkins I think his name is), and my absolute fav, The Ghost of Christmas Present! He's so funny! Plus it's a musical, so there are plenty of catchy tunes. The dialogue in that one doesnt always follow the book, but it does stay true to everyone's character. If only there was a way to successfully combine them!

So a Happy Crimble or Merry Christmas to all those celebrating it, A Happy New Year to everybody and Happy Birthday to everyone who has a birthday this month! For me almost everyone I know was either born in October or December

Yay! I'm feeling quite Halloween-y these days. To quote Camp Lazlo (yeah, i watch it sometimes, so what?) "You must believe in Halloween, or else you'll get the Curse of the Halloween Spirit!" I totally believe in it, it's one of my fav days of the year!

So because of that, I've also been feeling very Haunted Mansion-y and Nightmare before Christmas-y so I've been obsessing over them. So much so that I've put the Haunted Mansion theme ("Grim Grinning Ghosts", for those who dont know) on my MP3 player and have been playing it constantly. I've even learned to play the organ intro to it!

I havent drawn anything since August, but I want to. I just dont know what. Plus I get caught up in other things so I dont get much of a chance. We are getting a new computer today so once that's all connected I'd like to post some of my Disney pics actually. They're from the trip I took last June and a few are really quite good. (Yeah my Haunted Mansion obsessing has developed in to a little WDW fixation...)

UPDATE- It's been brought to my attention by that I've been featured here [link] as one of those underappreciated people. Neat! Not that I'm apparently underappreciated, but that other people feel my art needs attention! It also mentions the variety in me gallery. Some interesting pieces were picked to show in that article. I gotta say that really boosted me spirits and suddenly I feel very motivated. Could it mean? Yes! I'm working on a drawing right now that hopefully I can get posted before Halloween.

And going through serious withdrawal! It was honestly the most fun fest I've been to in years. I think mainly cuz of Neil Innes. I was ecstatic to finally meet him and he really is so nice. And such a sweet guy! It was so cool to see him perform with Liverpool (the house band). I dont often get to hear Rutles songs live. Plus he's just a funny person! It was hilarious watching him try to open a DVD to sign for someone. It was cool to be with a bunch of other people who knew him too. The movie they showed about him, The 7th Python, pretty much established that he's only known of by certain people and he likes it that way. He doesnt want a lot of fame. To quote Neil himself: "I think it's a lot more fun being a Rutle than it would be to be a Beatle"

Liverpool was phenomenal, as usual. I just loooove watching Glen (the bassist) and Drew (keyboards, guitar) from that group. They did a bunch of songs from the White Album (it's 40 this year), including Helter Skelter which was great cuz it's my fav Paul song. They even did Revolution 9! Not my fav song by any means, but I gotta give em props for even attempting that, special props to Glen for getting most of the sound effects together. Glen is also the funniest one in the group. To quote him, "I'm Glen, the Bob Newhart of Liverpool" and here's what he said about Rev. 9: "It's my fav dance number". Drew I honestly think is the heart and soul of the group and he's certainly one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen. I dont know many people who can play 2 keyboards at once and sing at the same time.

Pattie Boyd (George's first wife) was there as well, and while I didnt meet her, from what I saw she seemed like a really nice person, you know, not uppity or anything. Apparently she was really nervous though and thought no one would be interested in anything she had to say!

Well that's my initial reaction. If anyone wants more detail (and I mean a lot more) I'm writing up a "review" of it so you can note me if you want a copy.

Till I leave for Beatlefest! God the excitement is getting to me so much now, I'm having trouble trying to sleep! Honest, I stayed awake for awhile yesterday just cuz I was too busy thinking about Neil and what I'll say to him. I know I'm gonna be gushing all over him, but I gotta retain some dignity. Plus I was thinking about what I'd ask him if I get the nerve to ask him a question. It would have to be something clever, something he hasnt been asked a million times. We're leaving at 5 in the AM, which sounds early, but the sooner you get there the better. And I guess my dad wants to go down the start of Route 66 too (told you he was a closet Cars fan!).
