It's time to breathe some more life into this club. For a while I waited until we had a good amount of members and now I think we're ready to hold our first contest!

The subject matter:

Pick a favorite Yes song of yours and represent it with photography, digital or traditional artwork, or 3-D work. Pretty simple huh? I think it would be a fun idea and something that will allow for a lot of creativity and possibilities.

Submissions:

Participants can enter the contest by sending a link to us privately. We can display the entries in a number of ways - either to post links in our journal to each entry or to submit each entry in our gallery. What do you guys think would be better?

The Deadline:
Because we did not receive any entries by the original deadline, we will hold the contest until we get a couple. Then when we do, we can decide on a new deadline. This will give those who haven't checked the club lately a chance to catch up.

The prize:
The winner will have their entry posted as our featured submission until the next contest ends and they will also have a special feature in our journal. This feature will include 15 of their best artworks or the artworks of their choosing and a description of them as an artist.

We are a club for the very wonderful and talented progressive/symphonic group, Yes.

UPDATE February 20, 2009: I must hugely apologize for the long absence! I hope everyone is doing well and has had a pleasant New Year. Sincerest apologies to those who have been patiently waiting for responses. I should be able to check in on the club once a week at the very least now. I've just done a whole bunch of updating so the new members should see their names in the journal now. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to note the club. Thanks! Also, if any of you have clubs that want affiliates we'd be happy to affiliate with you, Yes-related or non-related. We did not receive any entries for the contest we opened, so please take a look at the contest journal if you're still interested in entering. Thanks!

Rules:

1. If you'd like to join, please note us on our page or privately. Also, add us to your watch list.

2. Submitting deviations: You are welcome to submit anything that is related to Yes - any art work inspired by Yes (3D, skins), photos of concerts (screenshots), portraits of the members, collages, visualizations, photography with a Yes theme (ie nature photography inspired by the lyrics). Submissions that aren't allowed are artworks by Roger Dean (unless it's a desktop, screenshot) because they are his work solely and we could get in trouble for that. Also, no sheet music by Yes is allowed.

3. Contests: We will hold contests when we have a considerable amount of members.

We are new so there will be updates and we're looking for members and affiliates.

We're also looking for submissions from anyone who can contribute! We don't have much in our gallery to look at yet! We also need an ID for our club.
