I won't get into the specifics, but I've been teetering over planning to leave for awhile now, but after some recent events, I finally decided dA isn't for me anymore. So there really isn't any one reason for my leaving.

Although I'm quitting dA I am NOT planning on abandoning this place cold turkey style ('cause we all know that rarely works). So here's how this will work:

I'm not removing my work. I'm leaving it up so that I have dated proof the work is mine, since obviously if I post it elsewhere it won't have the exact date of completion on it and yadda yadda yadda. (Art theft and crap isn't even close to being a reason for my quitting anyway >_> ) I might eventually move everything into storage, but for the moment it stays up.

If I owe you a commission or a prize, I will contact you on here here. Any I take in the future I won't, just the last few things I need to do. Since it's all prizes and commissions for people here ON dA, I see no point in making life difficult on the people I owe work for.

Don't worry if you accidentally comment or send me a note on here. I will be getting on periodically just to make sure everything's ship shape <_< >_> I mean... I -was- on this site a long time. It'll be awhile before I'm officially gone gone.

So before anyone gets the wrong idea about my actual reasons for leaving, it's not because of any one person. I've just gotten seriously tired of how bogged down with teenage drama this website has gotten. Sure, -any- website is going to be that way, but I'd rather have my work presented on a website I associate more with professionals than I do drama llamas. Plus it really wears me down when I'm supposed to be concentrating on school work, but whenever I go here to relax, I'm constantly bombarded with people's problems they have with one another. Some people will probably see this as me being selfish, but the truth is, I just care -too much-. I need to remove myself from that a little and try and care more about the things that will actually affect my life rather than the things that will only distract me from these things.

I'm currently working on a blog right now for school purposes, but I'm also working on my website. As soon as one or the other is finished, I'll be posting the link here for anyone who still would like to view my work. My blog will still probably contain some of my opinions and whatnot, so it'll turn into more of my journal and all that fun stuff, but my website will be free of that. So if you like my work, but hate me, that's where you'll want to go ;D But if you hate my work, but love me, well... you're out of luck because my blog will still be mostly art <_<

here because of the way he handled some -extreme- theft. His art was pretty much ripped for the ghostbusters game that came out recently, but even though that's almost as extreme as theft can get, he didn't go ape about it. He did mention it here, but he wasn't ranting and raving and foaming. I always love it when artists show a lot of maturity over things like that, because it always bothers me when someone gets their art reposted somewhere and they go completely crazy.

INSTEAD. I'm going to do another movie review thingy

It wasn't until recently that I started going on another movie spree though, so yeah

I wasn't keeping track either so I'm pretty sure I forgot some movies. This one is a little longer than the last ones, but next time I'll make sure it's only ten like normal.

Oh yeah, I saw Who Framed Rodger Rabbit again, and I still don't care for it >_> I couldn't tell you why though.

(I spruced things up a little <_< This time you guys get MOVIE POSTERS to look at )

1. District 9-
A lot of my friends didn't like this movie, but I enjoyed it a lot. Although, I -do- understand their beef with the movie >_> I agree that it doesn't make sense all the problems that ALIEN FUEL causes (I won't elaborate in case some of you haven't seen it yet but are planning to, and don't know what goes on and such) but I don't really care at the same time <_< 'cause I'm certain that if I went up to Peter Jackson and asked him how the crazy alien magic did all that, he could tell me.
The only thing that seriously bugged me though was the nails falling off 8D;;;; Ugh. I can't handle stuff like that. I actually had to step out for a moment because of it, but after drinking some coke I was good again

(The only nail fall off movie that didn't bother me was The Ring, probably because I was too busy laughing at how dumb that movie was to care)

2. 3:10 to Yuma
This is one of those movies where I enjoyed it a lot, but it was depressing at the same time >__>;;; The ending was expected, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. (Although it's gotten to the point where I can pretty much guess how a movie is going to end within the first few minutes anyway, so that doesn't exactly bother me). I was cheering when the outlaw guy suddenly turned and shot up his gang <_<

3. Pulp Fiction
Ahhhhhaaaah... yeah, I hadn't seen this movie until recently

;;; I definitely enjoyed it though. Hmm.... I don't really have much to say about it though O_o So moving right along.

4. 9
Hmmm.... it was alright. I loved the style and all that. I loved the characters. But sometimes I felt like certain characters knew too much and others too little. I guess either could be easily explained though. I am a little concerned about why there was a female, though <_< (if you've seen the movie you'll understand what I'm talking about. If you haven't, don't worry, I'm not being sexist.)

5. Castaway
PAAAINFUL. This movie made me cringe 8( I enjoyed it regardless. But seriously, this movie -really- made me feel uncomfortable <_< You could really feel the monotony of floating on the waves for that long. And shoving spikes in your mouth. And cutting your hand. And etc. Geez, I definitely watched a lot of depressing movies O_o IT DOESN'T END HERE EITHER. MOST of these movies were depressing 8D;;;

6. Perfect Blue
WHAT DID I SAY? Yet another depressing movie >_> At least it has a -somewhat- happy ending, but I wouldn't exactly call it completely happy. (Not that I have a problem with sad endings by the way. But I'm going to laugh the next time someone tells me there's too many happy endings in movies) This is also one of those movies where if you plan on seeing it, expect to be confused at least for a little while.

7. Memento
This is definitely my favorite out of all the movies of this list. I enjoyed and relished every minute of it. Hahah so today has possibly been one of my worst days. I won't say it's -the- worst day, because I honestly couldn't tell you what my worst day has been, but this one has been pretty bad. (It's not even over yet, so who knows. Luckily it already reached the point where I just don't care what else happens because I already feel like garbage, and there's nothing that could make me feel worse aside from the death of someone I hold dear. Which I doubt will happen today >_> )

Basically I've been having severe difficulties with a project and was on the verge of just quitting my minor and not looking back. Commercials are -not- my forte, but somehow I managed to finally come up with an idea. My very first commercial idea. I'm pretty proud of myself.

But anywho, I won't get into the nitty gritty details of what's made today so bad, but basically, it's funny what people do sometimes that makes you just want to sit there and laugh and forget about your cares. As many of you know, I live in a city. People in the city are either the nicest people you've ever met or the jerkiest people you've ever met. I fortunately came across one of the jerks today. Fortunate, because it made me laugh and forget about things for a moment. Basically, after I crossed a street, all of a sudden I hear some lady yell at me from the comfort of their car "Take your time, fatty, there's no rush". It's highly amusing to me when people you don't even know feel the need to yell obnoxious remarks like that. What's -really- funny to me about that, is I'm not even fat. Sure, I'm not a twig anymore like I was in high school, but I'm still not what most people would call fat.

What these car drivers who like to yell things out also don't realize, is it's not exactly easy to hear what they felt was so important they needed to shout it out the window. So most of the time when people do that, you have to think about what they even said.

But anywho, enough of that. I've been extremely busy with school lately, but I've still been managing to find time to work on those commissions I took up. After those are out of the way I'll try and finish up the last two art trades... which I'm extremely sorry I'm being such a dope and taking so long with those :/ There's honestly no excuse for how long I've made you two wait. About all I can say that the wait is good for is at least you'll get more refined pictures than you would have had I done them back when I first took those trades up.

And in closing.... I now have a love/hate relationship with the delicious beverage known as CocaCola. Thank you for making my life so miserable this weekend, and yet so good.

Also, who else thinks it's weird that it's called CocaCola, but the shortened version is Coke with a K?

(EDIT) OKAY so does anyone know of a good browser that actually WORKS anymore?! T__T Internet Explorer has always sucked, Mozilla crashes all the freakin' time, and Google Chrome has a bad habit of loading pages so wrong they don't work right. Mozilla and Google Chrome USED to be fantastic browsers. What is UP with these companies destroying them with these latest updates?! I'm almost afraid to try anything else in case they've gotten hit bad with these major glitches too

I'm considering updating the layouts of my ref sheets -again- <_<;;; I dunno, there's something I don't like about these ones. BUT when I do, I don't plan on -redrawing- anything 8D;;; The layout itself just doesn't seem very professional to me at all. I won't do that until I have access to Damien's ref sheet again though, because I'll do them all at once when I update them. Suggestions are welcome, even though I have no idea when I plan on doing this

Oh, commissions are officially closed now. The ones I have, I've started on

(and finished one ;D) Classes start this week, but I shouldn't have any problems getting the two I -can- start, done by the end of the week. Especially considering I'm down to three classes again. Apparently most colleges don't charge for extra classes, but apparently SCAD does, and since my parents just bought the condo I'm now living in, we kinda need the extra refund money. So I dropped the second most boring sounding class on my schedule 8D (I WOULD have dropped the -most- boring sounding, but considering I need to get my history classes done and over with, I dropped typography instead <_< )

Gaah I've been so frustrated the past few days. So much junk going on both at work, amongst the people I know, and with my computer. I'm so glad that today is most likely my last day with Taco Bell for the next couple months (Maybe even forever depending on how today goes. We got a new boss, and I don't know how she feels about college students disappearing and coming back, yet. I don't care if she doesn't let me back though, as I would have been actively looking for a new job, if I don't get a winter internship, as soon as I got back at the end of the quarter, anyway. I'm really fed up with the place 8D;; )

I won't get into the "people I know" stuff, since that's very personal business and all, but the computer stuff... man. I might not have a scanner for a while after I go back to school :/ I'll be able to scan school work at the school, but I don't feel comfortable with scanning personal work up there. Basically, the scanner I have I bought at a garage sale this summer, and is just too old and there's not any way it'll be able to work with Vista (Let alone Windows 7, which I'll be upgrading to as soon as it comes out >_>;; ). I don't know for certain if I'll be scannerless though. I don't remember if I mentioned this in a previous journal or not, but my dad dropped my old scanner when we were moving my stuff out of my dorm back in May, and I kept forgetting to check and see if the scanner on it still works <__<;;; The printer itself still turns on, but none of the lights light up anymore, so I guess I'll be finding out either tomorrow or Thursday if it actually still works. Either way, I still need to get a larger scanner, so I'll be taking a look at the make numbers on the larger scanners at the school, and go from there. (actual comic paper is much larger than normal paper, so it'll just make things a million times easier for classes and such, so I won't have to scan my stuff in multiple parts and painstakingly piece each page together, anymore.) But yeah 8D;; just having a scanner would be better than not having one at all, 'cause I've got stuff I need to get done for people, and I lack motivation to work on that sort of thing when all I can do is sketch it but nothing more >__>;;; (Or with the marker stuff, finish, but not be able to show to the one who it's for)

I think I might have mentioned before I was going to have a roommate, but stuff happened and now I won't have one

I'm hoping ~Konori can be my roommate again this coming January though >_> <_< Cross your fingers! I just hope this time I can get out of my garage injury free because it's seemed like the last few times I've been in there for things related to moving, I've ended up getting some kind of cut on my legs. (When I moved back from the dorms last quarter, I stepped on a crowbar and got this gash on my leg that turned into one of the darkest scars I have <_<;;;; Which is odd 'cause it wasn't a bad cut at all >_> )

Ahah so I was going through some of the junk in my closet today so I can decide what can go into storage until I get an actual house and what can go into a garage sale, and I found a shoebox with all my old Pokemon cards in it <_< I doubt it was -all- of them, since even though this shoebox was completely full of them, I know I had more than that, but dang. Still. I haven't seen those things in -years- o__o so I decided they're coming with me when I move >_>

Annnnnd I once again have photoshop and this time it's here to stay

Now the only excuse I have as far as art goes is I don't have a scanner that works with this computer. For some stupid reason we can't get the main scanner-printer retard thing to work with my new computer, and apparently it didn't work with my mom's laptop either until they directly plugged the two in and installed it that way, so we'd probably have to do that, but that'd be a huge hassle considering the printer is downstairs and this desktop monster is upstairs. Annnd I still don't even want to touch the scanner I got for $5 at a garage sale because the last time I tried getting -that- to work, it put my computer into a coma for a day >_> Thank goodness my computer savvy brother is here this weekend so he can mess with it, and I can be excuse free! (Which I won't mind, 'cause I've actually got a ton of junk drawn up waiting to be scanned and colored 8D;;;;; After posting that "OMG my inspiration divorced me

" journal, me and my inspiration had a good long talk and decided to get back together. )

Oh, =Special-Sari and I are currently cooking up something special 8) Hooopefully we can get past the planning stages sometime within the next week so we can start moving into the actual project ;D Trust me, you guys will like it

(hopefully <_< ) Since it's the two of us, and this is something that's really important to us both, I doubt it'll end up getting dropped like so many other projects I've said I started on but never did anything with >_>;;;;;; I know -I'm- really excited about it, and I'm sure Sari is too, so that helps a load

As far as art goes for other people, I DO promise I'll get cracking on a lot of that after I get moved into the condo. This summer has been really crazy, and although I -really- tried to get some of that stuff done, things happen x__x I've been really up and down moodwise this summer, and a couple times I even considered dropping a lot of things near and dear to me, but I've scraped myself off of the pavement and am moving along again due to the support of all of my friends, so thank you guys

Okay, so since I haven't exactly been the social bug lately, I decided I'm going to make a more socialable journal for a change >_>;;;;

Don't you hate it when you simply can't sleep, and there's no rhyme or reason -why-? o_o It seems like every other night all summer I haven't been able to sleep well. I went to bed around 11, tired as anything, but woke up at 2am, wide awake.

I also hate it when you put things through the wash <_< A couple weeks ago I bought the coolest most awesome Wizard of Oz magnet in the world, but I had stuck it in one of my cargo pockets to keep it away from my phone and cards just in case, and then.. forgot it existed >_> I did my laundry, and now it's a very clean, now in two pieces, awesome Wizard of Oz magnet. It was one of those moments where I went "OH HEY LOOK IT SURVI- oh wait, no it didn't"

Which also reminds me of the time I bought Final Fantasy Tactics at a used game store last year for $40 <_< (the original PS version, at the time over $75 online, although I just looked and it's gone down a -lot- in price, probably because of the rerelease 8D;;; ) I get home, try to take it out of the case to play it, and it broke in two pieces >_> I'm reeeaallly gentle when it comes to CDs, so it was pretty devastating 8D;;;; From that point on, I always get nervous when CDs decide to be a little more difficult pulling out. CDs are hardy, and I know they NORMALLY won't break unless you try to bend them in half, but MAN <___<;;

Ugh, so I'm not sure where my artistic groove went, but I really haven't been feeling art the past... year or so? o_o I dunno, I keep worrying about the dumbest things whenever I do sit down and work on art. Sometimes I'll blame it on dA, sometimes I'll blame it on school, but in all honesty, I don't know -what- it is, 'cause even when I'm not being an emo retard about dA and school, it's difficult to get myself to sit down and work on anything. I don't like the fact that I can't seem to force myself to work on things unless grades or money is involved. I don't like the fact that I have to even consider forcing myself to work on things.

So this upcoming quarter all of you can expect more -lack- of art >_>;;; I'll try to get those art trades done regardless (since it's been a year now, and I feel bad for making the people left wait so freakin' long), and this time it's official- Until I'm out of college I'm not doing any more contests, commissions, or art trades. Well, as far as commissions go, if you ask for one -before- I go back to school in September, I can squeeze it in, but after that, I won't be doing any more no matter how badly I want to, because I'll need to start concentrating on building my portfolio and looking for interns and the like. (Plus I think it's pretty obvious I lack the motivation to seriously do prizes and art trades any more :/ With Commissions, I just don't want to tempt myself to work on stuff not related to school and interns)

So if you want to commission me NOW IS YOUR LAST CHANCE. I won't be opening them again until I graduate in two or three years. (Depending on if I double major or not)

I'm going to be fair with these and not have set prices for them. Tell me what you want and we can discuss the price from there based on how much you're willing to pay for whatever it is and whether I'm willing to do the work for whatever the price is. (I'm going to say that at this point, unless you ask for something stupid like.... a full blown background with incredible detail and completely colored all for $1, I probably will be willing to work for whatever you ask for, so don't be afraid ;D )

I'm not going to have a set number of slots or anything.

We'll discuss how payment will work depending on what will best meet both of our needs as well.

It's always crashing and being highly annoying, and apparently it's because PSE6 and PSE7 are very sensitive <___<;;; Sensitive is right. I barely had that thing open five seconds the last time I tried to use it before it crashed O___o;;

In other news, I officially have a condo. I haven't gotten to do much with it yet, as my landlords (aka parents <_< ) are out of town, and the place needs some work done on it before I'll be living in it. (liiiike get the heating and air conditioning fixed, repaint some of the walls, etc) The building is REEEEAAALLY nice though >____> If I REALLY WANTED TO, I could go get a tan or sit in a sauna and junk, 'cause they have all that fancy stuff like that. (pft, me? Sit in a tanning bed? yeah right >_> )

When I'm watching an anime that's about characters that aren't specifically living in Japan, and sometimes are most definately living in a country that isn't Asian whatsoever, and whoever translated the episode still Japanisify's the characters names and puts -san and -sensei all over the place. This especially annoys me when the characters are most definitely European.
4. When I get permanent ink under my nails and I just can't get it off

No matter how many times I wash my hands. And the ink just sits there. For weeks. On end.
5. Humming and whistling and singing along with music <_< If you wanna drive me crazy, come up to me and start humming. Sure, you might end up with a black eye, but hey, I'm sure you'll have loads of fun doing it >_>

Well, so this was a pleasant surprise, but yesterday we picked up a bunch of parts for a new computer for me >_> What does this mean for you guys? HOPEFULLY it means more art

'cause I think one of the reasons I've been so dead on art is I don't always feel like coloring traditionally, but my current computer (Which I'm still using right now) is really irritating to use photoshop on because the processor wasn't powerful enough to handle Vista. So my poor single processor was sitting there trying to run Vista and Photoshop and iTunes and Google Chrome all on it's own and it's doing a darned good job, just not good enough >_>

So ORIGINALLY we were just going to replace the motherboard and processor. But my brother, who's good at replacing computer parts, isn't around. My dad is good at it too, he's just not as skilled as my brother at making sure the machine will work afterwards, so we were just going to wait until my brother came back from working at some Band Camps. Well... my mom suddenly goes "Wouldn't it be easier to just get her a new computer?" so my dad asked me if I wanted a new one, and I snatched up the opportunity and said yes >_>

So yes, my uber new baby is sitting upstairs on the dining room table~ We put it together yesterday and got Vista and some other things installed. When my brother returns we're going to work on getting the files from this computer onto the other one >_> -I- want to just put my two hard drives from this computer into my other box ('cause the box I bought can hold six hard drives ;D ) but considering I got an uber hard drive for that one, I won't really need them <_< The harddrives in this computer are LITTLE SHRIMPS compared to that one >8D Mwahahahahaaa

Man, just about everything is good in my new computer >8D The only thing not uber about it is the CD-Drive <_< Which doesn't really matter, since as long as it runs, it's fine. ( I could have gotten a blu-ray player for my computer, but considering I don't have any blu-ray's that'd be pointless and stupid 8) )

Ah, my monitor that stopped working a few weeks ago. Well, we weren't able to take it to the shop just 'cause the guys in there said there's really no point because of how cheap monitor's are these days >_>;; So I bought a smaller one back then, but yesterday we bought one that's either... the same or a little bigger than my old one o_o Either way, we were going to make sure I got another like my old one just 'cause having two monitors for working on artwork would be very handy.

If you're one of the few you actually read this far, forgive my bragging so much 8D;;; Computers are one of the few things I'll run around and brag about <_<;;

Oh, in other news, for my WoW buddies who watch me here on dA, I'm back on it. I'm mostly working on my side characters though

Well, I just finished another ten movies, so I figure I should do another set of ten reviews ;D This time, not all of these were on Youtube >_> SO BEWARE. The movie may not be there if you look >_>

Uhh... I'd update with updates of the life sort, but there's not much going on here whatsoever >_> All I did this week was work, watch movies, and draw comic pages <_<;;; Oh, and buy taco earrings, but that's a different story u_u

1. Sinbad and the Legend of the 7 Seas
.... The dog scared me o_o It had such a hauntingly happy expression. The whole. Movie. It's expression looked like this --> 8)
It was really scary man. >_> But besides that, I enjoyed the movie. PRETTY ANIMATIONS PLUS BOATS AND HIGH ADVENTURE equals a good time for Dojo

I -adore- movies about people sailing around in leetle boats.

2. Memoirs of a Geisha
I liked this movie a little more than I thought I would

I'm not sure if I'll ever watch it again, but I did like the music, I did want to kill Pumpkin really badly, and I'm happy the movie ended how I wanted it to >_> (I don't think there's a movie in existence where I -don't- want to kill any of the characters though <_< )

3. Grave of the Fireflies

I'll just say I made the mistake of watching this before going to work. I wasn't in a good mood the rest of the day. It was so depressing I think I'll end my review right now and move on.

4. Tokyo Godfathers
Whether this had been recommended to me or not I was still planning on watching it since I loved Paprika so much. .... and I'm glad I did >_> I -loved- it. Not only was the plotline interesting, but the quirky humor and the lovable characters just... man. I -definitely- recommend this movie ;D Hahah my favorite part is definitely when the one guy is laying all beat up in the alleyway and the angel comes in a BEAM OF LIGHT and asks him if he wants her magic or an ambulance.... and he picks the ambulance, and she gets all outraged, and the light goes away >_>

5. Millennium Actress
Another movie done by the people who did Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika. I didn't enjoy it -as- much, but it was still really nice to watch. I -really- wanted to slap the main chick though >_>;;; The ending is a little sad, but it's also happy at the same time.

6. Legend of Drunken Master
Hahaha if you like Jackie Chan, you'll like this, simple as that >_> It's pure Jackie Chan to the very core

7. the Animatrix
8D;;;;; I was a little bored by this. The first sequence made me laugh because it seemed really pointless to me >_> "omg, lets cut our clothing so we can show off as much of our bodies as possible

". I'm glad the rest of the sequences weren't that bad, although they were a little too serious for my liking. ... although the final one kinda freaked me out >____> The style was interesting, but dang, that monkey thing was -scary-.

8. Transformers 2
Erugh, I'm not sure what to say. I thought the plotline was all fine and dandy, but that's not what disappointed me. All of the sexual humor they tossed in was extremely unnecessary and obnoxious though :/ Seriously, it got old -FAST-. I found myself rolling my eyes an awful lot in this movie. It's supposed to be TRANSFORMERS with BIG BAD ROBOTS BEATING EACH OTHER TO THE PULP, not some Will Ferrel knock-off. If I had wanted that kind of humor I would have gone and seen Land of the Lost or some romantic comedy :/ So yeah... I was disappointed not because I thought the movie itself was stupid, it was the stupid humor. Haaaah, I've been having some more internet trouble >___>;; It cut out for a moment on Tuesday night, and then it decides to cut out last night, and I went to bed before it came back on. It's back up now, but hopefully it doesn't go down again o_o;;; It's -COMCAST'S- fault T_T It keeps cutting off in the whole area apparently, so hopefully they fixed whatever it was, since this happened last week too. (At least it wasn't out the entire next day like it was last time >_> )

Haha I need to become less dependent on the internet though

I need to start saving references to my computer again like I used to way back when I made adoptables on neopets all the time. (Speaking of which, I sketched out some more >_> Since I was getting on neopets on a fairly regular basis for a bit there, I figured "why not?" )

In other news, I've started that comic I said I would. I'm trying not to rush it and pace myself and just work on it here and there though, because I don't want it to turn into a chore, but at the same time, I'm going to make sure I have a page done either today or tomorrow. (I WOULD say today, but I Have to work today >___>;;; Luckily I have Friday-Sunday off though, so plenty of time to try and get a couple pages done ) I won't be posting any until I have ten pages done, or when I just get too impatient with myself to wait any longer. The plan is to post five pages at a time, because it irritates me when I'm reading someone's web comic, but it's only one page a week or sometimes even longer than that 8D;;;; Well... not because I think it's a bad idea or anything, it's just easy for me to lose interest if the story is -that- broken up. (I've also noticed that a lot of comics seem to flow better when more than just one page is released a week... since I know there's no way I could do ten pages a week at my level, I'm going to try five and see how that goes >__> )

I've watched a bunch of movies, so now I'm going to tell you guys how much I liked them. I'm going to do this periodically, because I've always wanted to do movie reviews of some sort, but I would always get too nitpicky and drawn out, so I'll try to keep these short since I'm giving my opinion on so many of them at once. Feel free to make fun of me for not seeing certain movies or get angry with me for not liking your favorite film or call me an idiot for liking your least favorite film. Your opinion is my pleasure to read ;D (there are ten of them, and I figure I'll always do a review after watching ten movies I haven't seen before. They're in the order I watched them. BEWARE. I'm -very- picky so some of these might surprise you, especially if you know that I do like violent films >_> )

1) Who Framed Rodger Rabbit- I... have a feeling I would have enjoyed this movie better if I hadn't watched it so late at night. I know a lot of my friends love this movie, so I guess I just feel bad for not enjoying it that much? I don't know. I have a feeling it -was- because I was tired, because I was having a hard time grasping what was going on at first >___> And well... it -WAS- 2 am when I -started- to watch it, and it finished around 4 am, so that was probably it. So basically, I didn't care for it, but I'll watch it again in the future at a much more reasonable hour.

2) Kill Bill Volume 1- Hahah another movie I'm not sure what to say about it <_< I don't think I'll say I didn't like it until I've seen the second one. I'm not a huge fan of super cheesy lopping off body parts and blood spraying all over the place. It doesn't -BOTHER- me, I'm just a really logical person, so seeing blood -spraying- out of an already severed head just bugs me >_> GRANTED. I do realize the movie was MADE to be that way, so I won't be too negative about it. (And yes, the black knight part of Monty Python -is- my least favorite part of the movie. I know everyone loves it, but I can't stand it >_> It's cheesy, but it's a little -too- cheesy to me.) Oh, I think I also would have liked it better if the version I was watching still had the subtitles on the Japanese parts. T_T;;;

3) Mary Poppins- Hahah this movie was long 8D;;;; It was cute, but the little kids bugged me to no end <_< And the dancing chimney sweeps... neeeevvveerrr eeennnnnded. BUT. Besides that, it was okay. Although, I did discover that Dick Van Dyke reminds me of *ShoJoJim a lot >_> (Find a picture of video of him, and try and tell me he does -not- remind you at least somewhat of Dick van Dyke u__u He's like.... Dick van Dyke incarnate o_o Haha that's not a bad thing by the way >_> I was just so baffled most of the film after thinking that. )

4) Ghostbusters- ANOTHER movie that I know a lot of people loved, so I feel bad for not loving it that much 8D;; There were a couple things that -did- make me laugh though

And the characters themselves were also very lovable. So... yeah, I guess I did like it

5) Forrest Gump- I just can't write anything negative here. See, the thing is, I usually -hate- these kinds of movies. I normally CAN'T STAND THEM. For example, I didn't like The Soloist. Would I recommend it to people? Of course. It -was- a good movie, I just couldn't stand it >_> But yes. I did enjoy Forrest Gump. Although one thing I did learn from watching this movie is I need to stop watching these things on YOUTUBE >_____>;;; I missed most of the Vietnam stuff, because that part of the movie was missing 8D;;; So yes. Because it was a movie like this, and I -didn't- hate it... I can't write anything negative here, even if certain characters bugged the heck out of me. dA's really lost it's luster anyway. I'm not quitting, because I've got too many friends on here where this site is the only contact I have with them, but I have been really not feeling like getting on as much lately. I know last time I said this I was stressed with school, but this time it's just a lack of desire altogether. Well, it doesn't help that I've never been -that- social a person to begin with >_>;;; It's amazing I've even stayed on dA as long as I have, because most forums I go on for a week, and then I quit using them. Not counting dA, I think the longest I've stayed on one has been five days o_o

I'm going to be opening a special deal on commissions as soon as my desire to work on artwork has returned. Umm..... that's all I'm gunna list 8D;; there's a lot more, but these are just the movies I was reminded of by going through all the movies we have at home <_< (or I just plain love even if I don't own them. )

Yeah, it's a lot of FAMILY Films, but those are the ones I think most people tend to overlook to begin with. (And also tend to be better, in my opinion, than a lot of the the "adult" ones >_> They are what they are, and you're less likely to go into a family film and get hit with something stupidly unexpected than if you go into something PG-13 and above.

But yes 8D I plan on watching all the movies you guys mentioned~ There's so many on my list, I doubt I'll get to them -all- this summer, but hopefully I'll cut out a good -chunk- of the list ;D First I'm gunna watch Kill Bill, Amelie, and Army of Darkness, and then I'm going completely based on how much I've been told to see the movie >_>

Aaahhh I hope I don't waste too much time playing Sims 3 ='( I'm so addicted to that game <_< I'm just so FASCINATED by the personality system and how accurately it got the couple characters I made in there 8D (I've made Sadie (a character only a couple of you guys know), her sister, Picard, Spice, Damien, and Yoki <_< I've been playing with Damien and Yoki the most 'cause it's just so entertaining how accurately it got those two, and so UTTERLY HILARIOUS >_> ) Also, all the things they added that you can do with your sims is just.... ah..... it's -almost- perfect 8D The only thing WRONG with it, is you STTTIIIILLL can't adjust how tall your sims are T__T;;; So yes. In sim land, Picard and Spice are THE SAME HEIGHT T___T++ That's just downright -twisted-.

But dude, you get so much control over customizing everything o_o No longer will I have to download eyecolors or clothes that are the -right- color o_o No longer will I have to download the right color hair. Now it's just make sure the clothes and hair are the right -style-, which.... is sometimes annoying, but not that bad >_>

Ah haha, so I just got back today >_> Well, a few hours ago. And I was roaring to get working on some art, some of which was gunna be digital. I go to turn on my computer and it's working fun until the screen suddenly flashes to black and then goes back to normal... and then keeps doing that until it's black more than it is... on >_____>;; It's a little late to get someone to look at it, but thank goodness my brother is home this weekend and I'll just see if he can figure out what's up tomorrow. So... until then I will have to borrow my parents laptops like I'm doing right now

Ah right, so I'm going to be starting a webcomic sometime this week. I need to work on a section for it on my website (as well as just... plain working on my website in general >_>;; ) as well as ref sheets of the main characters and whatnot. (four main characters, so that shouldn't be too bad

) It's mostly just an exercise for myself, trying to keep myself working on projects that don't necessarily have anything to do with school, since I'm pretty bad at that. (Well, I'm good at getting commissions done too, just not as quickly as I think I should :/ ) So yeah

I'm going to keep on the ball with it, and if I'm not updating it regularly, I give you all permission to nag me >_>... well, wait until I post the first page 'cause I have no idea what day I'm going to make my regular update day 8D;;;

I'm going to try and make it one of those that has more than just one page with each update though. It's craaaazy. I've never seen a swarm of bees before o_o But there's one that came to my grandma's house the day we got here and they -haven't left-. Heck, they're just piled on the side of her house and even started making a comb >_>;; We called the exterminators 'cause this is pretty dangerous (heck, they were crawling inside of my grandma's house), and they came out and told us that we need to get a bee keeper out and take them, 'cause they're the valuable kind of bee

I got some pictures, one really good one, and a few that aren't so good. I was only able to get the good one 'cause it was really cold today, and my dad grabbed my camera from me and got -really- close to the bees and took some pictures >_>;; Had it not been cold, we wouldn't have even gotten -near- them especially after something disturbed them the other day and caused them all to fly all over the place. (I got some pictures of that too, but it might be hard to tell that they're bees all over the place) I'll definitely post the really good one, but I'm not sure about the others >_>

It's crazy though. The pile is -massive-. (Usually they're just piled up on top of each other on the side of the house with a few flying around) Especially in the evening or when it's cold and they're all there together.

Also, we made an offer on an apartment today~ I -reeeaaally- hope we get it, because it's a nice place, it's within walking distance of the school, and it's got a separate bedroom

Actually, finals aren't being too bad, but I'm really worrying that one of mine isn't going to turn out very well at all

I'm working really hard on it, but eh... I wonder if I'm really cut out for Broadcast Design. .... oh well, I'm not giving up. Over the summer I plan on practicing it a lot, and if I feel like I'm still not getting it after cramming my head full of tutorials and junk, I'll give up then. (But I doubt I'll still feel that way >_> ) I just don't like feeling like I'm the only one in there who doesn't know what they're doing 8D;;

On the opposite side of the spectrum, I'm getting a little -too- much praise in my Materials & Techniques class

;;; I've had three assignments now where my professor went gaga over it, and I have yet to see him do that to anyone else in there, so I'm sure the other four students hate me >___>;; (HOPEFULLY it's just a temporary hatred ;D ) I UNDERSTAND HOW THEY FEEL TOO

Yeah, so the project I've been working on HARD CORE the last few weeks has been some pinup for my Materials and Techniques class. Yes, it's that one I think I've mentioned that we're supposed to use photoreference and blah blah blah. I wish I picked something simple, but I suck as simple 8D;;; I can't simplify worth anything 8D;;;; I was all "YEAH. I'M GOING TO DRAW FUHRER KING BRADLEY WALKING AWAY FROM A BURNING BUILDING ALL PROUD LIKE AND YEAH IT'LL BE AWESOME."

I'm a little surprised though o_o This is the longest I've gotten to spend on any project for a Sequential Art class. I -think- it's due soon, but I have NOOOOO idea O_o;;; I'm going to try and finish inking it tonight, but I doubt that'll happen unless I stay up really late >____>;;; ... but like I said, I have no idea when the thing is due o_o I can't wait to start getting into the classes that are more developing a style, because I'm really tired of drawing this realistically >___>;;; I mean, I imagine my style being -somewhat- realistic, but nowhere near the level that this thing is being.

Ahhh we start on our final for Motion Techniques 2 today. I plan on asking for help and looking up tons of After Effects tutorials for this one, 'cause I want it to be the best it can be 8D;;; It's -30%- of my grade, plus I want to make something I can be proud of >_> ... and something that I'll -actually- post on Youtube hopefully >___>;;;; I might go ahead and make an account on Vimeo too, depending on how this thing goes. Plus it'd be nice to have a project actually go okay in that class, considering the last two weren't very fun. BUT that's life

The worst part about this is when I'm trying to get in a position where it doesn't hurt as much, sometimes I'll accidentally twist in odd ways that only make things worse, but I don't really have that much control over it x___x;; (Just as I have zero control over when I suddenly -stop- when pain shoots up my back. I can't really explain it 8D;;; It just... happens o_o )

It probably isn't anything serious though. I just feel like complaining about it 8D;; If anyone has any suggestions other than the "flip and rotate mattress" gig, hit me up with it, I'd love to hear

Just curious but is anyone else watching it? >_>

It's funny because I've been seeing so many people complaining that it's not being true to the manga like they said, but what they don't realize is the second episode was spot on to the manga other than the fact that it's out of place. And the episode just released yesterday was a lot more accurate with a couple things changed just to make it only last one episode >_>... which I'm glad the Lior part is only just one episode, because to be honest, I don't really care for that part anyway, despite the fact that it's at the very start of the manga 8D;;;

I'm a little iffy about how much they're jumping around though, since the next episode is supposed to be the Tucker incident instead of The Mine incident, especially considering how major of a character -Yoki- is later on in the manga >_> I'm actually rereading the manga at the moment because of the new series, and there's so many things I forgot either never happened or were completely different, starting -with- the first episode in the first anime series o_o (For some reason I was so certain the freaky bird thing happened, but when I was rereading, it wasn't there >_> and I was like "Oh, it didn't happen? o_O" )

Bah, I really really hope they start sticking spot on to the manga soonish and don't cut out too much in later episodes. Partly because in the original anime, Havoc barely appears at all compared to how often he pops up in the manga >___> (there were parts in the anime where he'd either be switched with someone else or just cut out completely, which upset me considering he's my favorite character at the moment <_<;; I mean, I still love Hughes, but considering how early on he's done in... 8D;;; )

Ah yeah. SO in other news, it sounds like I'm going to end up getting an apartment after all

The best part is, we'll be -owning- it 8) My dad's going to take a look at it later this week (hopefully I'll be with him, but that'll only be if he ends up going out on Wednesday, because of classes and whatnot) and the only thing about it that sounds.... disheartening is it's on the 16th floor of the building >______>;;;; Oh well... I got used to being on the fourth floor of a dorm last year, hopefully four times that height won't be... that bad... 8D;;;;;; eeehhhhhhhh *shudder* It... has a balcony too <_____<;;;;;;;;;;;;; I doubt I'll be getting on that thing.

Okay, so I just noticed I haven't posted anything worthwhile since January >_<;;; I haven't had a lot of homework so far this quarter (Either I haven't had a lot, or the fact that I'm keeping so caught up is making it feel like I don't have much >_> ) so I really gotta get my butt in gear and work on some personal work. I have two pictures that are almost done, I've just been too lazy to put the finishing touches on them (8D;;; One I have been working off and on with since December... not because it's anything amazing, just more laziness) plus I have an art trade that's also almost done and been almost done, I'm just annoyed at my painting job on parts of it

Ugh, the only reason I haven't posted schoolwork to makeup for the lack of personal work, is I really don't think anything last quarter was really worth posting (although a few people wanted to see the Juggernaut comic I had to do so I might as well scan it again and post it) and most of the stuff so far this quarter isn't worth it either >_>;; (Although I get the feeling that if I showed anyone the stuff I've done this quarter and I said it wasn't worth it right there, they'd strangle me <_<;; )

I've been really bitter lately, and spouting useless crap off in journals helps me feel better >_>

Hahah but this thing I gotta complain about. I mean dude. I think I musta been high from using prismacolor markers too much when I did this O___o because dude.... I'd have to have been to make this mistake.

Basically there's this textbook I need for class that I'm having all kinds of problems getting <_< First it's not in the school store because the school store was dumb and didn't get my professor's order (he was pretty miffed about it). Second, I go to buy it off amazon, used, but that order gets canceled because someone, most likely one of my classmates, managed to make the purchase before I did because they told me they were out of stock and refunded me >_> Sooooo I decide to just order it new so I don't risk that happening again, and I signed up for Amazon's free trial premium account thingy because doing that gave me free 2-day shipping <_< Well, it's been here at home for the past week, in a package, waiting for me to get home and claaaim my priiiiizeeeeeee. I get home... I open the package.....

And it's the wrong book <_< No, Amazon didn't make a mistake. I did. But the thing is, the title of this book wasn't even on the list of books we were given, not even on recommended texts O___o It's not really even that close to the same title as any of them. Which is just dumb o_o I obviously wasn't paying attention whatsoever. But ah well, I've got the RIGHT book ordered this time, and it should be here by Monday >____>;;;;; I really hope so 'cause I -need- it Tuesday T_T;;

Haaaah it makes me laugh whenever someone mentions Alan Moore and Watchmen, especially when they seem to think he must be so happy at Watchmen's success >__> When I wouldn't be surprised if just going up to him and saying "watchmen", even before there were plans for a movie, would cause the guy to rip your face off.

What a lot of people don't know is that Alan Moore was supposed to gain ownership of those characters after Watchmen went out of print. And the fact that it never did, upsets the man >_> Them making a movie only solidified the fact.

And this is why you should always think about your requests and contracts very very carefully before setting them in stone <_<

Argghhh my throat hurts like crazy and my voice started giving out yesterday o_o This seems to happen once a quarter this year o_o At least it hasn't gotten as bad as it was when I went to AWA though >_> That was awful yet funny at the same time.

I'm working on something biiiig >_>... Well. Yeah, it's not really a big art piece or anything, just... a whole heckuva lot of ref sheets

;; I've been meaning to redo all my old ones I already have, plus give ref sheets to a lot of characters that never got 'em. The way I'm doing them is actually being really quick and easy o_o The only unfortunate thing is I won't be posting any until June, maybe longer. I'm just so excited 'cause I've already started on 10 of them, and the next five are on the way today

I only started this two days ago~ So doing this on top of homework and still getting it all done? It's great

I know this is more a personal project and I still need to get art trades done, but what I'll be doing with the ref sheets (and why I'm not going to be posting them until June sometime) is something I really need to do and have been shying away from. I will however, take breaks from working on them in order to get commissions done since those are higher on my priority list

(Which I have none at the moment, but that's besides the point

;; So yesterday I discovered this quarter is going to be similar to last one in that it's going to be a lot of me yelling at the tech people about the internet >__>;; It was being... okay at first. I can deal with slowness if I'm not on WoW (which I canceled until I go home this summer). But what I won't put up with is the internet cutting out all the time. It cut out five or six times yesterday

;; Oh well, that's the joys of school internet. It sucks that it's hard to fix problems like this unless the internet isn't working during the time that someone who knows what to do is looking at it. But yeah, sketches are around 10$, Lined drawings probably around $20, and marker stuff around $30. (I'm willing to haggle around a little, so feel free to negotiate with me.) I -would- just time and see how long it takes me to sketch your image and then figure out from there how long it'll take me, but.... you don't wanna do that, trust me 8D;;;;;;;;

That will be the pricing for just -basic pictures- nothing fancy. I don't really have the time to more detailed pictures than that, but if you're willing to wait, go ahead and ask. Okay, so I'm an average bodytype, I'm not chubby, not fat, not anything, but I do have hips that make me look fat if I'm wearing a t-shirt >_> (I feel weird sitting here describing myself, but it's necessary for what I'm about to go off on

What's really miffing me is the fact that there's so many artists here who'll sit down, draw a female character with an average bodytype -AVERAGE- and call the poor girl chubby. Just because someone isn't unhealthy toothpick thin does NOT make them fat or chubby or anything like that. It disgusts me that people are letting the unhealthy standards of Hollywood and Fashion Magazines poison their minds like this into thinking a normal average person is -fat-. It's really sad to me that people think that those horrible thin monstrosities are -NORMAL-. Every single freakin' person I know that's as thin as the "NORMAL" characters according to these people who know nothing about bodytype, have been underweight, and I mean seriously underweight. Such as my sister :/ (She doesn't like the fact that she is, though, so it's not like she's anorexic or anything >_> Good ol' Kirby

SO if you -want- a character that's slightly overweight, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research on bodytypes before drawing someone who's only slightly less skinny than a super star skinny fool. It's very upsetting and offensive, and I seriously doubt I'm the only person who gets annoyed about it. I'm fine with someone who wants their characters to have different builds, in fact... I completely support people who do because it's so annoying to see people who's characters all look the same, but please make sure your characters actually -look- the way you describe them, or that your descriptive words actually match your character :/

I'm going to refrain from taking art trades or any freebie thing for... probably ever >___>;;; It's not that I don't like doing them, it's more I feel like whenever I accept them anymore, a little switch in my brain called the "Lazy" switch gets flipped. You wouldn't believe how hard of a worker I am at school for getting projects done because of how lazy I get with art trades <__<;; I don't get lazy when I actually sit down and WORK on them, I just get lazy about getting to them. Commissions are fine, I get to those as quickly as I can o_o But ART TRADES? Man. I think I sketched Jim's five times, 2Q's four, Morghie's two, Sari's three, and I'm going to have to redraw all the ones that I haven't finished yet because the sketches are old and nasty and I came up with better ideas <__<;;;

What stinks is I have absolutely no idea when I'll be posting any of my projects from this quarter :/ I got my hopes up thinking I'd be able to now because my roommate can now upload on dA, but I can't. Ever since finding out it -was- my computer that was blocking my internet those couple of times, I'm starting to wonder if there was ever a problem with the school's connection to begin with, and if everything that's happened is my computer's fault.

But this doesn't make sense. Pretty much all the parts in my computer are new and my dad and brother know what they're doing when it comes to putting together a machine. The problems started winter break, and they just got worse this quarter.

No, please don't give me suggestions on how to fix this, because... well... if you had a cold, and didn't know it and all you knew is that you have a sore throat and don't feel good, I wouldn't tell you to get surgery done to remove your tonsils and adenoids just because -I- happened to be getting strep throat all the time and had to get those removed. Basically what I'm getting at is, don't give someone an extreme solution unless you're an expert and have taken a look at either you or the machine, and TOLD you that the extreme solution is nessesary. I just can't stand it when I see someone say their computer is making funny noises, and some idiot tells them to wipe their hard drive, or worse: buy a new computer, when they don't even KNOW if the issue would even need that. I thought my computer was going to blow up once because it made these awful horrible noises, and it turned out there was hair caught in the fan. If I didn't have a dad who knew something about computers, I would have thought I'd needed a new computer because mine -had- to be broken. I don't mind so much if someone suggests a minor solution like defragging the harddrive or restarting the computer. It's just those major solutions that include getting rid of everything on a computer and starting over from scratch having to reinstall every little thing and whatnot. (And telling people to "get a mac" is unfunny and even less helpful than just telling someone to buy a new computer unless they happen to be a mac user. )

Sorry, this wasn't supposed to turn into a rant 8D;;; I've just been in a really bad mood the past couple of days. I ordered a few books last night that I'm going to read to help me out, since this quarter I discovered I couldn't write a good story to save my life and it was a real blow to my confidence. SO instead of moping like I tend to do when I think I suck, I'm doing what I should have been doing any time my confidence gets shot: Give myself no reason to think I suck by making the things I produce better. I went on Amazon and found a whole bunch of really good sounding books on writing and am going to read the ones I bought, and I'll let you guys know what they are if anyone's interested and they turn out to be good

They SOUND good, but we'll have to see if they really are as amazing as the reviews made them sound. (I have a feeling they will be though, because not only were the reviews good, but they were written by well known writers and editors, one of them being an idol of mine, Orson Scott Card >_> )

Anyway I went and saw Watchmen yesterday

Making the only two movies I've seen this year AWESOME. (Gran Torino being the other one, which was also really good

)

For those who read the book, Yes, they did change the ending and leave out that which we were hoping they wouldn't

BUT still go see it. The ending has a couple little flaws (to me anyway) but they still kept the story pretty much. Then again, you should probably ask someone who really does base how much they like a movie on how accurate it is to the book <_< (Like the people who hated the Bourne movies just because they were nothing like the books [especially Supremacy and Ultimatum], even though those movies were good on their own

The only think that bothered me was them killing off Marie >_> )

Man, the cinematography was beautiful. The intro credit sequence was definitely my favorite part.

Anywho I'll stop now <_< Even though everyone's had forever to read the book to not be spoiled, I don't want to spoil it anyway for those who plan on seeing it but haven't read it.

I will say though, that if you don't like any kind of gore and it makes you squeamish, this movie -will- make you squeamish.

Oh well, if that happens and I do get bored and stop doing anything with dA, I'll just start putting everything on my website >_> ... which I still need to get the new layout up on, but haven't yet because I've been too lazy to. Oh yeah, I'm going to France next year for certain. (Unless my application to go doesn't get accepted, but I'm a good enough student, I don't think there's going to be much issue getting accepted >_> ) I've never been out of the country, so it'll be a whole new experience for me, and I'm very excited about it

I'm planning on going on the Japan trip the year after, too. They're also setting up a campus in Hong Kong right now, and if I end up going to school for another year after that (which is very likely if I end up double majoring in Broadcast Design and Sequential Art) I'm thinking about going on that trip as well.

So yeah, a lot's going on here

Mostly just plans and finals. I finally e-mailed the powers that be about the issues I've been having with both the internet and the people that are supposed to be helping me with it, and I got a response stating that my e-mail was going to be forwarded to one of the highest authorities at SCAD Atlanta, and I have yet to hear back, but that was only a few days ago. (And with the end of this quarter coming up, the guy is probably extra busy so I'm not worried yet)

And now to work on my final in Broadcast Design for a bit 8)

I get asked about Picard's name a lot because of the funny coincidence that he's called Picard and he happens to have his own space vessel in which he flies around in, kinda like a certain Star Trek character also called Picard, but the coincidence wasn't intentional at all, because I didn't even know the Star Trek character existed until someone asked me about it

;;; Picard is named after Piers from Golden Sun (Piers is called Picard in the Japanese version). Originally he was a clone of Piers, but I changed him a lot into my own character. Now the only reason the hair style is similar, is because Afghan Hounds just happen to have the same goofy hair style Piers does, the poor soul

Seriously guys, it's amazing how stupid everyone is being about these spam bots. I'm not just talking about the people who were silly enough to CLICK on the links, but I'm also talking about the people who keep spamming inbox's with "OMG GAIS WATCH OUT, SPAM!!!". Those are irritating me ten times more than the actual spam bots themselves. (I watch a lot of people, and about half of all the people I watch has posted a journal about it. That's over 100 journals all about the same thing :/ )

One of my friends just posted a journal about another one she just received, and I was like "okay, fine, this is alright" but as soon as I reply to her journal, I look in my inbox, and I have about five more journals of people warning about THE SAME THING.

So this is a little different twist. It's still spam journal spamming about bewaring links, but I'm choosing to spam you guys with "STOP WITH THE WARNING JOURNALS".

Honestly guys, this is -nothing- new. Hasn't anyone looked around Youtube or any other website other than dA lately? Did you NOTICE how much SPAM is everywhere on those sites telling people to click links to see naked ladies and stuff like that? This stuff suddenly hitting dA shouldn't be the big deal that it is. It's like everyone on this site lives in a BOX or something O___o

SPAM BOTS EXIST. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. THEY EVEN HAVE THEM IN ONLINE GAMES LIKE WARCRAFT. Just IGNORE them and move on. There's no need to get into some kind of high alert over every little one that hits you O__o Just be smart and don't click on links that you don't recognize. That's how it's ALWAYS been, and that's how it ALWAYS will be. Nobody make a big deal over the ones they see everywhere else, so there's no need to make a big deal over ones here.

If it's obvious it's a spam account, like it's only a few days old and they have nothing posted or something like that, just report it and move on. If it's obvious someone was silly enough to click on a link, causing it to spam everywhere else, just hide their comment and move on.

It's called common sense. Everyone should have it, and it should be used at all times.

Well... let me be more specific >_> Anyone know where I can download the WINDOWS version of After Effects CS4 that doesn't link me back to Adobe's website? The reason being is I -can't- download from their site. I'm not going to get into the nitty gritty details because I don't want to explain all the trouble I've gone through, and long story short, the version I ended up downloading is apparently the mac one, and although I do know there's ways to convert the mac file into a pc file, I don't have the time to be messing with it.

So yeah :/ And the CS3 version isn't gunna work, because I was able to download it.... but I only have a 2 day trial on it :/ Which is weird to me o_o I mean, I -did- download the trial last year, and I used -up- the 30 days, and since I upgraded to vista, I figured it was worth a try to see if I could use it again. ...... so really, the trial should either be 30 days, or no days at all O_o

(EDIT) deleted some rant >_>;; also, never mind about even getting those two days to use the program, because when I went to start it, it wouldn't let me, so I'm gunna assume it's because it's detecting I already used my 30 days. Okay so um... >_>;; time for updates I guess.

Well, my WoW sub dies today, so I'm pretty much going to be forced to work on art in my spare time when I'm not working on homework <_<;; I still anticipate being slow, though, since I already do -so much- art for classes, it's hard to just sit down and work on anything.

I really wish I could upload things, because I wouldn't mind showing you guys the animation stuff I've done so far

Sadly, I've been saving the files wrong so they're too big to put on photobucket, so I might have to go rerender them in the correct file format >_>;; Next assignment is a typography assignment. If you don't know what typography is, watch this: [link]

My first project I ever did in after effects for my computer applications class was a sorry attempt at typography that sucked, so I'm a little worried about this assignment <_<;; But I think I'll be able to actually do it this time

He had ten little sound clips we could pick from and the one I picked is from The Matrix. (Unfortunately, it's the longest clip, but I picked it because it's the only one I got any ideas for while listening to it >_>;;;; ) I dunno. I'll probably go into class tomorrow with material for several of the clips, because I really don't want to be doing the same one someone else is

I'm just going to stop saying anything about the internet until it's fixed :/ At least they finally admitted it's probably a problem on their part. The only way it's gotten any better is that it only cuts out for a moment now, but even that's irritating if I'm on messengers, or I'm in the middle of downloading something for school and the download suddenly stops >_>

In personal work news, I haven't really been drawing squat >_>;;; I haven't had any desire to. Luckily, all the art trades save for one, are already sketched, so I'll be working on coloring those this week since I'll have no excuse to not work on them >_>;; I did doodle up some pictures I plan on coloring in photoshop, and I've got some stuff I want to do in Corel, but they're so rough that i need to refine the drawings and I just don't... want to draw

I'm so tired of people getting upset about critique. I mean seriously, just because someone critiques your work doesn't mean they think you suck. If they thought you sucked, they wouldn't bother critiquing you at all. Because honestly, if that's what critique meant, then I guess every single student here at my school thinks every other student here sucks O_o But just because I've probably been critiqued by almost all the students in almost all the classes I've been in doesn't mean I'm going to run away and cry in my emo hole about how much I suck, because they're TRYING to help.

So seriously, those of you who are still crying and being dramatic about critique are in serious need of growing a backbone and sucking it up. EVERYONE needs critique. You're not PERFECT. And if you're TRULY willing to accept the fact that you're NOT perfect, you wouldn't be so upset about it. Geez. And if you're the kind of person who thinks "Oh, but I can spot out my own flaws, I don't need other people doing it" you need to get off your high throne too. Once again, you're not PERFECT. Your eyes aren't so perfect you can spot out every single little freakin' flaw in your own work. An eye for art is something that develops as you receive critique from others and realize what's bad and what isn't. Remember how when you were five and drawing little doodles of animals and stuff? How you thought "OH THIS HORSE IS SO AMAZING"? But you look now and laugh because you realize it really wasn't that great of a drawing? That's because your eye for art has developed. And it's STILL developing. I can look at drawings I did a few months ago that I thought were amazing and almost flawless, and find a million mistakes now. Someone better and with a more adept eye for art could have looked at those drawings when I first did them and point out the flaws to make me AWARE of them so that I can fix them.

This doesn't just apply to art either. One thing that I'm getting more and more frustrated about how the world is changing is how NO ONE can accept people telling them that they're wrong. If someone calls them off, they either run away and cry about it, or they sue the person. Geez, people, it's just another form of critique. I'm CRITIQUING PEOPLE RIGHT NOW. If you go punch a guy, and your friend tells you "You shouldn't punch people because you could get in trouble" that's not them calling you out and trying to make you mad, it's them looking out for you. For some stupid reason most of the people I know, if I call them out on ANYTHING they do wrong, they pitch a freakin' fit and run away for a few days. I'm SOOO tired of it. The only reason I have so few friends is because most people in this world can't take any kind of critique and are so convinced they can't be wrong about ANYTHING, that as soon as someone like me or my closest friends comes along and says something to them about something they're doing that HMM. COULD HURT THEM IN THE LONG RUN, they run away crying and complain to everyone else about how mean we are to say such cruel and nasty things. Last I checked, telling someone not to do something because it could hurt someone wasn't a personal attack. If I wanted to get personal and wanted to attack you, I would have said something -really- nasty.

CRITIQUE IS GOOD. GET OVER IT.

I hate Macs T__T I haaaaattttteeee theeeeeeeeeeeem.

Honestly, they've given me more trouble than my computer ever did. (Well, unless you count the time it got infected with spyware back when I wasn't careful about virus's and stuff >__>

I mean, it probably helps that my computer is a homebuilt as opposed to prebuilt. BUT STILL. GEEZ. I dread every time I have to go down to the school's computer labs and have to use one of the stupid macs, because something always goes wrong O__o

Oh how I wish I had After Effects on my computer T___T;;;;;

I'm falling reeeaaallly behind on here. I haven't even really been checking this site a whole lot because in the freetime I get, I've been really determined to hit level 77 on WoW before my sub runs out on the 10th >_> I haven't checked to see if I can submit anything on here in awhile, but I'm assuming I still can't because my school is still being stupid about getting the internet fixed. All they do when they come in here to look at it is try to "catch" the internet cutting out, but of course it never cuts out when they get here >_> And besides, that won't solve or help or prove anything, because my computer cuts out at different times than my roommate's computer does. And even when it does cut out, it's not always long enough for someone to run around checking every little spec O__o

It's stupid. It really is T_T I'm going crazy because of this. The times it cuts out the most is the times I'm either about to try and do something important that requires the internet, I'm suddenly having a really important conversation with someone on Yahoo, I'm about to Roleplay, or if I'm on WoW, I'm in the middle of fighting some huge mob >_>... or I'm running out of one of the Alliance cities on my Troll Shamen <_< (It waits until it knows if it cuts out then, when I sign back on, I'll definitely be dead.)

On a lighter note 8D;;; I've been doing really well so far this quarter. Not only is it really easy and not a whole lot of work, but my history professor is a lot better than my last one o_o He doesn't write the questions on the tests in a super confusing way in order to trip people up just so he can say "YOU REALLY NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU READ EACH QUESTION CAAARRREEEFFUUUULLLLLLYY" at the beginning of the next day of class after a test >_> (Which is what my last history professor did T_T;;; It was like she was purposely wording it badly just to make us sit there and waste time reading each question ten times just to be certain she wasn't trying to trick us into getting the question wrong.) I'm probably gunna have a lot of time this weekend >_> I'm -hoping- to get some more art trades done and then possible get the remaining two free sketches done as well. If I get all those art trades done, I'll start working on priiizeees 8D Woooo~

But yeah, like I said, more than likely I'll have to post everything in photobucket and note the people receiving the art X_x;;;

'cause yeah, basically, I have a very tiny workload for this weekend, which is good, 'cause we only have a two day weekend instead of our usual three day weekends >_> What I don't get is why they have to mess things up by letting us have MLK Day off, turn around and make us make everything up the following Friday, and THEN schedule other important things on that Friday as well O__o And not every professor is scheduling very kindly either. I've heard some are putting their makeups at 12 instead of during their usual times X___x;;; Which is stupid, because they're just assuming they can do that and have no problem, but it is a problem, because if a professor with a class normally at 2pm does that, they're assuming the student doesn't have an 11am class O_o (Which more than likely the student -does- have an 11am class, because it's a popular time to sign up for.)
So yeah, I have to miss part of my Motion Techniques class today because the school was super stupid and had the Math Competency exam today at 2pm T_T;; Which is when class begins. And considering the MLK thing is a school wide day off, they SHOULD have had the foresight to schedule it different. They did this last year too T_T And this is exactly why I've only taken the exam once so far. (I was too slow when I was doing it and didn't even answer enough questions to get a passing grade >_>;;; I'm hoping this time I will. Although it doesn't help they only give you 40 minutes to do the thing O_o Even in High School we were always given more time than that O_O ) Gaah I just hope I pass this time so I can take Science instead of Math

;;; I don't care anymore that they don't have Biology at this campus, ANY science class is better than Math T_T.. especially super easy math like I've heard that class is. (I realize Math is a big part of science, it's just ten times more interesting if I'm doing math for a purpose >_> that and the fact that I haven't taken a science class since Junior year of high school

(EDIT) O__o;;; well, I didn't think the internet connection here could get any worse, but basically, it won't even load my message center now. >___>;; the internet here is on the fritz. It'll be on for about two to five minutes, then cut off. It wasn't bad two days ago, but today it's being -really- bad. I had a picture to upload, but because of the weak connection, it's not uploading at all, even when the internet -is- working ='(

In other news, all my classes are cool so far

I'm still nervous about my Motion Techniques class, because I've never done much animating, and my Computer Application animation project sucked so bad

So I'm going to try REALLY REALLY hard in there. (One of our projects -is- going to be a typography assignment too, which was what my sorry attempt at using After Effects in Computer Apps was, so I'm the most worried about that project

The professors at this school never cease to amaze me though. My Motion Techniques professor is only teaching part time, but the company he directs for full time does some really cool stuff, and I guess the fact that I'm being taught by people who are actually OUT there, and do stuff for companies like TNT just blows me away. And then my Comic Book Scripting professor used to work for Marvel. And then how companies that I've idolized since I was a young girl, like Blizzard (I was in preschool when we got our first computer, and one of the first games we got was Warcraft), come to my school very frequently, I guess it's just a little like a dream come true.

Hahah that just reminded me of a funny story <_< When I was little, I wasn't allowed to use MS Paint, because one day when I was playing around on it, I did something that made it so one of the color boxes that tells you what color you have selected, became black and we couldn't figure out how I got it stuck that way <_< So my parents thought I broke it and told me I was only allowed to color in KidPix. And then I'd always be sad when I'd forget what I was supposed to type in MS Dos in order to get certain games to play

Oh speaking of which o_o Just curious, but what were the first virtual games you guys played? Mine was probably something on the NES, because I'm pretty sure that thing is older than me

Okay, so I've officially filed my first complaint at my school o_o I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this in previous journals, and I know I've mentioned it to friends, but there's a serious smoker problem in my dorms.

But before I get into this, let me clarify. I don't MIND people who chose to smoke. Heck, all of my grandparents except for one was a smoker. (None of my other relatives are, though) I don't care if someone wants to smoke in their own house, and I don't care if someone chooses to smoke outside at a public place. I don't deem smokers as evil, 'cause it was their lifestyle choice, not mine.

But what I DO have a serious problem with are people who chose to smoke inside of buildings where not only is smoking not allowed, but could serious affect the health of other individuals. I'm in a DORM for crying out loud. This place is FULL of other students.

Basically, just to reillustrate, all last quarter, my roommate and I had to deal with some inconsiderate jerk who's made the wrong choice of wanting to smoke inside their dorm room. It filters into our room REALLY badly. What I don't get is why whoever this is can't just go outside and smoke there. There are smoker poles posted ALL over the ground floor of the campus. People can't use rain as an excuse either, because there's poles posted in places that normally stay dry. Last night had to have been the worst night we've had yet with this person. The smoke was so bad in here, my throat and lungs were burning, it was impossible to go to bed (which in turn can affect how well I do in school, so this smoker is ALSO preventing us from getting a good nights sleep :/) and when an RA showed up to check it out, not only did he not even have to step in the room to be able to smell just how bad it was, but later after checking around, when he entered the room, it started to burn his eyes. THAT is bad. My roommate and I have simply had enough of this health hazard (AND fire hazard :/) and I've finally notified the powers that be of the issue at hand. I'm guessing that either the room checks last quarter were inadequate and the person was somehow able to either cover up the smell, or come up with an excuse for it. (One of my friend's room smelt of smoke when the room checks came around because she had been at a club the night before where everyone smoked, and the RA asked about it, but it sounds like she was able to get off his case pretty easily. I know she's not the smoker though >_> I think I'd die of shock if she ever started smoking) I'm not satisfied with "There's not much we can do other than knock on random doors when there's a problem" anymore. I never should have been to begin with. The smoke filters into the room next to us as well, so it's not just us that are having this problem.

I know this is starting to affect my health, too, because my lungs will start aching randomly, whether there's smoke around or not, and this has -never- happened before this. I'm glad I don't have asthma, because I'd probably be in a hospital right now because of how bad it was last night. Because seriously, like I said, if a smoker wants to smoke, that's their issue, not mine. But it's a problem when they start compromising the health of multiple individuals in the process :/ It's not THEIR right to ruin -MY- health.

So please. If you happen to smoke, and you read this, PLEASE be considerate of other people and not smoke where you're not allowed to. There's reasons for that. If you're one of my school friends, and you happen to know someone who smokes, please make sure they aren't the ones doing this. Sooo... I -was- going to do one of those "Best of 2008 8)" things where you take your best picture of each month and put them all together and show them off, but then I noticed something.... >____>;; I didn't really draw enough in May, June, or November. (I didn't check -all- the months, but those were the ones I noticed the most with) And I don't really see much put in putting crappy pictures for those months, in the midst of a bunch of pictures I was proud of <_<;; SO. My new years resolution IS: Draw and finish at least three pictures a month >____> Not a -huge- -impossible- requirement, but not so little I won't have anything to chose from if I decide to do a "Best of 2009" next year
