okay, it's pretty obvious at this point that the future oik knows the EXACT fate of his past self, and due to his very existance he is virtually 'guaranteed' to survive at least up to the year 2052...

but forget everything u ever thought u knew about time travel!

because when u start to think really hard about it, then u realise certain things could never have happened if they were already known about, but if they never happened how were they known about in the first place? ha!

they're very simple, and have simple arms and hands.
they have huge heads, and funny looking shoes.
they have no nose, and no mouth when they're not talking.
oik's hair is nothing but a squiggle.

i know this, i draw them, but please let me explain their history:

these characters were never started by me alone. they were a combined effort from me and my friends, and they originally starred in a cartoon that we took turns to draw. it was about trying to get to our "school formal/prom" but lots of insane things kept happening to us. we never really finished it.

the characters needed to be simple, because we weren't all artists, and so this style naturally evolved in which is was obvious what was what, and we were able to convey a story, which was far more important than any artistic brilliance.

speed and simplicity was the idea, and we ended up with over 26 a3 pages of a brilliant cartoon.

i don't want to change the characters, because i owe it to my friends. they encouraged me and gave me this wonderful way to express myself.

i know that deviantart is a very competitive environment, with everyone striving to attain perfection. well, this is my "art", and it's all i've got.

i'll never win any awards for this, but making someone laugh is all the reward i need.

i want to thank everyone who has commented on my work, because it's these people that encourage me to do more.
i must admit i get a lot of pleasure out of it, but it's also for your enjoyment too. i will have to find the line upon which we can both be happy.
