So, as most people probably have absolutely no idea, America is experiencing a second Revolution, of sorts.

Ever heard the phrase "No taxation without representation"? Well get used to hearing that. Because the American government is completely one-sided and is essentially a grouped socialist/communist movement against the best interests of the American people - meaning they're currently raising our income tax, among others, to absurd new heights. THIS IS LEGALIZED THIEVERY.

These tea parties (one of which I attended myself) are not, as our imbecilic congress and media (excluding Fox News) are trumpeting, "cowardly" or "anti-government malicias". They are peaceful protests against the BIG government that has reared its malicious head and also against overspending and ridiculous taxes.

And there you have it. This is not about lefties or righties. This is about Americans. Americans who disagree with corruption, leftist government policies, and abuse of power.

Your Revolutionary and Patriotic novelist,
YS

P.S. - All you Americans out there send our beloved government TEA BAGS. And make sure to include a loving note! We want to make sure they get the message.

Wow, senior year is going by sooo fast. And yet I find myself feeling mostly relieved; I won't lie, high school was a bitch. I feel like I can finally be myself and very seriously not care about what everyone else thinks. Much.
I think life'll slow down to the point of boredom after May, though I'll have a lot of time to either kill or take advantage of (probably the latter).
Sorry to all my fans, I'm not going to be writing anything more about Edinburgh and Saya's adventures there because 1.)It's a dead-end 2.)I have to stop publicising myself so much 3.)No one will be allowed to view the real contents of my book except my future editorial staff, publishers, etc. and the biggest one: #4: I AM SICK OF VAMPIRES!!!!! Yes. It happened. Twilight has lost its magic for me since all of the stupid fangirlishness spread like a sick pink disease and destroyed all that was good and holy for the Senior Twilighters (AKA the people who read it before the giant fandom cascade).
But enough of that. High school's almost over, and I haven't really got much else to complain about.
*UPDATE*--CHAPTER II IS FINISHED AND I POSTED IT ON DA FOR ALL TO SEE--FIRST CHAPTER IS PENDING.....actually I went back and re-read the 'first' chapter, and decided I jumped into the magical world without explaining much about it first. Now, I'm remedying that by writing the real chapter I. Chapter III will be finished sometime next week, possibly. It will also be called METHUSELAH.

***I will only be posting three chapters, as I will not ruin the book for my would-be readers. That, and my editor told me to stop publicizing myself. Yeah, okay. That actually makes sense - if Stephenie Meyer didn't, then neither shall I.***

I wish all this would just come to me in a dream, like it did for Stephenie Meyer. How easy would that be? Honestly, people like her (JK Rowling included) had their masterpieces fall into their laps so simply!!! How fair is that?! So intimidating....

Ahem...anyway. I've compiled a list of things my book has a good chance of including. I'll continue to add things to it, also, and I'd enjoy feedback from you all about your preference of what you like in books:

1. Vampires (which will be called Methuselah instead. And no, I didn't take this title from Trinity Blood, look up methuselah on Wikipedia). The Methuselah will also be part of the protagonists. And no again, the main character will probably not fall in love with one. I'm not recreating Twilight here.

2. Fairies. I imagined them to be similar to the fey in the Mortal Instruments series, except that they won't be evil and try and feed you their demonic sweets. Though I guess a major evil character might be fey. Possibly. And the main love interest has a good chance of being fey also.

3. Pirates.*UPDATE* I've decided I don't like pirates much. sorry ^^

4. No ninjas, unfortunately. They wouldn't fit into the story very well. *is sad*

5. True Love. Yep. Like I promised my readers before, it will be so romantic in places that they will have to stop reading and fan themselves with it for fear that they should faint. I won't disappoint you like Libba Bray disappointed me. This means the love interest will not die. (R.I.P. Kartik)

6. An L Lawliet-esque character. It might be either gender, not sure at this point, but they will continually be eating something, even if it isn't candy or cake. Cute, yeah?

7. Legends. I'll try and draw on some real-world legends like Kishimoto did for Naruto (i.e. The Tale of the Gallant Jiraya).

8. Real historical events. Like DJ MacHale did for Pendragon. Time travel (yes, I know it sounds really cheesy) may have to be involved. Sorry characters, no flumes for you. But I did have the pleasure of chatting with DJ via email, and he supports me in my publishing endeavors. Thanks, DJ. Means lots

9. Witches/Wizards. No, not like Harry Potter. They'll be 'magic-users', of a sort. No wands or magic words, but they'll convey their magic in other ways.

10. Names of people I know. My best friends Courtney, Robyn, Caroline, and some others will be included as character names, as well as my good buddy Fionna Mogford.

11.

....more will be added later.

Your burning-up-in-this-90-degree-weather writer,

AP

SPOILER WARNING FOR THE SWEET FAR THING!!!!!!!!!

Well, as my friends could hardly /not/ know by now, I am SEVERELY AND UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED AND PISSED at the ending to The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray. Her previous two books, A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels, were literary GOLD. GOLD!!!! I tell you. And up until the end of the third and final novel, The Sweet Far Thing was also deliciously steeped in forbidden, Victorian love and heated passion. Key word being "was". Not one single author has finished a book exactly to my liking, not even Miss Rowling (she could have done with a better epilogue, if you ask me). Stephenie Meyer, however (bless her dear, romantic heart) knows how to satiate the gaping hole that has been left, so much like a battle scar, upon my own romantic heart. Twilight is THE romance novel now. Next to Pride and Prejudice, of course.

Okay, I'm done with my rant. But I assure you, dear readers, that MY BOOK(S) will be so romantic you may have to stop reading and fan yourself with it before you should faint.

Your ever-so-romantic writer and lover of chow mein,

AP
