"Pinoy anime: Simula na ng ebolusyon"

Pangarap ng maraming Filipinong animators ang makapagtrabaho sa Walt Disney, Pixar, Toei, at iba pa. Ngunit dahil panandalian lang ang ibinibigay na trabaho ng mga banyagang animation studios, kadalasang nasasayang o nauuwi sa wala ang galing ng mga Filipinong kartunista.

Upang solusyunan ang problemang ito, sinimulan ng ilang mga Tomasino at Filipino animators ang paggawa ng sariling mga produktong naglalayong hindi lamang bigyan ng permanenteng hanapbuhay ang mga Filipinong kartunista, ngunit para dalhin din ang mga Filipino tungo sa pagkahumaling sa yaman ng sariling kultura, kasaysayan, at tradisyon.


Animation na sariling atin

Kailangan daw na magkaroon ng sariling animation ang mga Filipino dahil epektibo itong instrumento ng edukasyon, lalo na’t nasasagap ng mata ang 90% ng natutunan ng tao. Ayon kay Apolonio “Pol” Medina Jr., kartunistang Tomasino na kilala sa kanyan obra maestrang “Pugad Baboy”.

“Ang animation kasi, pinagsamasama ang alamat at kultura gamit ang modernong teknoloohiya kaya nakapagbubukas ito ng paningin ng mga tao para sa kinabukasan,” dagdag pa ni Medina.

Sinuportahan siya ni Jomike Tejido, estudyante ng UST College of Architecture at host ng “Art is kool.” Aniya, napakaepektibo at maimpluwensiya ang animation dahil nakokopya ng mga bata ang mga kaugalian at paraan ng pagsasalita ng mga tauhan sa anime.

“Nagpapakita ng mga kaugalian ang Japanese anime na maaaring tanggap sa kulturang Hapon, ngunit negatibo ang dating sa mga Filipino, kaya kailangan, repleksyon ng mga kausaliang Filipino ang mga anime na pinapalabas sa bansa,” ani Tejido.

Para naman kay Jose Lonito Gatdula, alumnus ng UST College of Architecture, kinakatawan ng animation ang tao. “Kung gusto mo maging aktor pero ‘di ka marunong umarte, ‘yung karakter na ginuhit mo ang gagalaw para sa’yo,” aniya.

Nagtatrabaho si Gatdula para sa Artfarm Asia, isa sa pinakaunang animation productions sa bansa.

Ayon naman kay Nelson Caliguia, creative director ng Artfarm, kailangan magkaroon ng Pinoy anime: una, dahil kailangang magkaroon ng sariling mga produktong ibebenta ang mga Filipino; at pangalawa, para maibahagi ang kultura, kasaysayan, at tradisyon ng mga Filipino sa mundo.

“Ang masakit sa mga Filipino, makapagtabaho lang sa Disney ang pangarap nila,” ani Caliguia sa panayam sa kanya ng Varsitarian.

“Sa tulong ng sariling production studio, hindi lang serbisyo ang naipamamahagi ng mga Filipino, pati sarili nilang produkto,” dagdag pa ni Caliguia.


Salamin ng kultura at kasaysayan

Ayon sa obserbasyon ni Tejido, parte na ng kulturang Filipino ang mga cartoons simula noon. Nagsimula ito sa paglipana ng mga komiks tilad ng “Kenkoy” at “Zuma”.

“Mga komiks ang popular na libangan ng mga Filipino noon dahil abot-kaya ang mga ito,” ani Tejido. “Ang pagkahilig ng mga Filipino sa komiks ang nagdala sa kanila sa pagkahumaling sa animation.”

Sa paniniwala ni Mary Sharline Bobadilla, estudyante ng College of Fine Arts and Design, ipinapakita ng anime ang kasaysayan ng mga kulturang namana ng mga Filipino mula sa mga Kastila, Amerikano, at Hapon. Ito ang tinatawag ni Caliguia na “culture crash”. Sanhi nito, malakas daw ang colonial mentality ng mga Filipino.

Ngunit kung negatibo ang karaniwang tingin sa colonial mentality, sa animation, ito ang pangunahing kalakasan ng mga Filipino.

“Tayo kasi ang may pinakamalapit na humor at kaugalian sa mga Amerikano,” paliwanag ni Caliguia. “Ang problema nga lang, nagpapaalila ang mga Filipino sa mga Amerikano. Dapat may colonial mentality, pero may dignidad ap rin. Di dapat kalimutan ang kinagisnang kultura.”

Upang magkaroon ng markang Filipino ang ginagawa nilang animation, ibinabase ng mga Filipinong kartunista ang kanilang mga gawa sa mga alamat at tradisyunal na paniniwala. Sinisigurado ng mga Filipino animators na bunga ng malalim na pananaliksik ang kanilang mga gawa nang sa gayo’y maiparating sa mga manonood ang, kung ‘di man tunay, pinakamalapit na hitsura, kapaligiran, at galaw ng mga katutubo.

“Nakabase ‘yung mga gawa ko sa katotohanan,” sabi ni Medina. “Ginagawa ko lang komedya ang mga totoong pangyayari sa Pilipinas para makapanlibang ng mga mambabasa”.

Sabi pa ni Tejido, ‘di lang kultura ang epektibong nakokopya ng cartoons. .... panu ba naman kasi.. may tricycle na dumaan sa tapat ng bahay namin yung naglalako ng mga bote ng softdrink or whatever kung anuman yung nilalako ng mga ulol na yun..... kitang kita nila na nasa tabi ng kalye yung kuting... ang mga puta ba naman sinagasaan yung kuting sa mukha, putang ina eh... nadurog yung mukha, ang masakit pa... nangingisayngisay pa yung pusa... buhay pa at naghihingalo, sana kung patay na kaagad di ba? pero puta naman.. nagdurusa yung kuting, gusto ko na ngang pugutan para di ko na makitang nangingisay eh... mga gago't ulol talaga yung mga boy na yun, walang magawa sa buahy, sarili na lang nila saktan nila bakit pa nila pagtritripan yung kuting... yung kuting na yun, gala lang pero mahilig ako sa pusa higit pa sa aso, saka tumatambay yung pusang yun sa tapat namin tuwing umaga ng linggo, kasi pagkagaling sa simbahan ng lola ko, naglilinis sya sa harap ng bahay namin at yung kuting na yun, pinapakain ng lola ko tuwing linggo ng umaga pagka simba.... syempre nakita ng lola ko yung nangyare, putang ina nila dahil pinaiyak nila lola ko!!! tangina ngingitingiti pa sila sa gianwa nila, kala nila nakakaaliw at nakakatawa na umiyak lola ko dahil lang sa kuting.... puta sila!

ang kaasar lang sa carnival eh nung pinagkatiwala namin ung poster namin sa kaguildmate ng friend ko, pagbalik namin, parang palengke at pinagkakaguluhan poster namin, merong nanghihila merong nangungulit, waaahh lukot lukot na, hawak ko na nga poster ko kinukuha pa sa akin >.< huhuhuhuhu buti na lang dumating si mamang guard. at eto pa may isa pang lalakeng balak pa kaming i-scam, tinakas nya yung isang magazine ng friend ko buti na lang may nakakita. hehehehehe

ayun, dun naman sa lumabas ung manager ng level up, hehehehe naki-boo ako hehehehe, sana maayos na ung server, sayang ung binili kong kard, di ko napakinabangan... -.-

tapos dun sa seven shots ba yun..? hehehe nakakatuwa kasi isa sa kanila napansin me na nakaupo na sa sahig sa harapan ng harang (bars) at nagmamalimos ng posters... kinalabit nya ung kasama nyang namimigay at tinuro ako, hehehe pagtawanan ba daw ako, pero lumapit sa akin at inabot ung poster! ayuz, nakadalawa ako nun, kasi may nahulog pa sa mukha ko na isa.

and dun naman sa cosplay, sayang di nanalo si ria-san.. pro ok lang kais ung friend nyang isa na crusader ang nanalo! na dapat naman, kasi nung last c3con di man lang nasali sa nanalo ung crusader, are they blind di ba nila nakita custome nya?!!! sana man lang isama nila ung crusader sa 3rd place nun, pee naman dalawang tao sa isang place, bakit yung nag-yuna at rikku, ang sama ng loob ko nun... kung yung assassin, sa pagkakatanda ko nanalo. errr... nala-lag na ung memory ko hehehe. sayang si kuya robert di nanalo...

what i am reviewing is the movie LAST SAMURAI!!! this is definitely one of my faves!!! its story is about a japanese rebellion where an american soldier was hired to train the emperors men againts those rebellions, then comes the time when he (TOM CRUISE) was about to be killed but luckily he was spared by his enemies leader (because he had a dream about a white tiger and he believes that was Nathan/tom cruise, he also believes that there is a reason why Nathan needs to stay alive) so, during his captivity, he had grown to love his enemies, and being fond of having their company, he deeply admires their strength, courage, discipline and honor... he was also eager in learning their language... then one time, a group of assassins were sent to kill the leader (kisumoto? cant remember the name) and Nathan alarmed kisumoto immediately and he even helped killing those assassins, after that kisumoto decided to bring Nathan home and surrender? not sure bout this (becoz the cd is pirated, me will watch this movie again, this time ill buy the original) So as Nathan decided to come home, he realizes what he really wants, he wants to protect those people he had grown to love and respect.. including kisumoto... so he helped kisumoto escaped and led the civil war againts the emperor's ruling, he became kisumoto's adviser... and then, oopss... this was supposed to be a spoiler... my my, i let it all out.. nyahahaha

P.S. i like Nathan's character, bcoz like him, im DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH JAPAN! i love their cultures, arts, customs, everything japan!!! they have this charm that me cant understand...

hhhmmm... san ba ako magsisimula...? pagdating ko dun.... wow... nagpeperform ung band, at song pa ng dir en gray..!!!
(yea!yea!*cheer*)
(ooohhhh.... "yatta!yatta!..lalalala"... a music video was presented... i think the artist called themselves green tea? or is it green L? "whatever.." back to singing "yatta!yatta!lalalala...)
it was said that this song was made during depression period in japan (didnt know that people can get depress all together in the same time and country)
then anime karaoke contest...(gwaling mo ate jona! idol! new fallen angels? " too bad, she ended up only in 2nd place"
then the performance of the bands continued.... etc...so while the cosplay awaits... *grins* cosplayer hunt! ("where's the ladies who cosplayed dir en grey...hmmm?" "kyooo..... doko...?" " geez.... no where to be found, i thought they'll come back" "okiesh... fine!" ("ooohhh... ahhh...." *nose bleeds* *eyes pop* *jaw drop*)
eating time! (*munch munch* "sawalap sawalap jollibee... jabi!jabi!"
then.... we're getting kinda tired... short film entries and our sXu group short film entry (sapphire by buck-tick with the video bronze was not yet to be showned... "hey! i tot the viewing is 12pm it's olwedy 3pm"
after few hours...
(speaking of the devil...)
there was an announcement...
"the viewing of the short film entries will not be shown today because it's already viewed yesterday about 7pm"
("huuwhaaattt...!" ggggrrrr.... i still remember yesterday... "hehehe short film viewing is starting.... huh?! of all those submitted entries...only few will be viewed...oh no.." announcer:we have chosen 14 entries blah blah blah.. aisu kyande aisu... "heck wat she's taking bout?" by JM Sachnahon and Ruby ann David.. "hey! dats not the right title! chotto matte!!! shimatta! it's our entry!" blah blah... and the announcing goes on then the viewing... unfortunately only 4 are viewed bec. maybe of the time... then they've announced the chosen 12 cosplayers for the 1stbatch and 2ndbatch to compete for the other batches.... then they all cleaning up the set... "lets ask if they will still go on with the viewing" volunteer crew:tomorrow, see the schedule of the program outside, beside the main entrance "thank u so much!" "okay iiikkkoouuu... soh.....!!!!............. lola! tadaima!"
so that explains it... oh well...

met old friends again like nona who was also a cosplayer of gatekeepers a long long time ago
and we join the mage quest (ragnarok Q and A game!)

and i wasnt voted out bec. it's obvious i know nothing of ragnarok, im just too MAKAPAL!!!!! (ANO BA SA INGLES YAN!EWAN!)
