Been off from the army duties for a week now, headin back monday evening. Getting a tad worried about the upcoming live-ammo exercises they want to try us on (by us I'm refering to the 5th squadron where I serve with some intel now that the basicstraining is done) and well I dont know these people. Only the other 15 month people that I've been with since day 1 (which by the way was march 7th, anniversary coming up! w00t!). So I'm not feeling I can fully trust people I barely know with live ammo around and running the formations onward and back.

Tho ofcourse that would just be me worrying too much since they do plan these maneuvres real careful and would never hand over live ammo unless we show that we can handle it. So only time will tell the tale on how that turns out.

Aside from this well I'm starting get really fed up with it all and well, I've gotten naggy and really down at times. I do my best to get up at it again but since the school thing went to heck (will mention it below) I just lack the motivation at times. They love doing these "feed back" meetings groups inbetween. I feel I can only rely on 2 of my 4 colleagues, not that I don't trust the other 2 it's just that there are 2 that in my eyes have a heart and two that don't hold their critiques in. At times it can be real destructive and just ruin my head up more.

My chances for an university are just as good as null at this rate. Seeing how the timeline turned out for the last couple of months in the service of his majesty, I'm just not gonna have time to spare to prepare a decent showcase for the entry to one of the 2 schools I want to apply to. So there goes that!
Artworkin' motivation going down with it, but I have to keep at it and present a kickass entry application next year instead. Planning on improving my grades from upper secondary while I'm at it too.

I've been picking up games like crazy for the PS2 the past half year. Mostly used games since they're cheap but I'm up at about 34 games now , so much gaming material, so little time. So I can say with a secure tone in my voice and text that I'll have stuff to play for quite a while after the army. ehm. yeah

Shadow of the Colossus European release FINALLY! Such a beautiful game, epic, fantastic, colossal!! It's been a thrill sofar and I'm still keeping at it. I got me a SotC T-shirt when I bought the game too! tho they only had size Small left (was a campaign for when the game was released last week, ~nuclear-fishstick got it at the day of the release so his size is just right for 'im ) so I'm thinkin bout giving it to =thedreamwolf since she's such an awesome friend and mentor and also seems to be really thrilled about the game (Ico kicked ass!). So a Shadow of the Colossus T-shirt will either be on the way for her upcoming birthday in May or I'll hand it over personally if the trip I'm planning to do over yonder works out after the army. Either way, she's getting the Tee.

I recieved a valentines day greeting from *Hiphipo through snail-mail haha fantastic drawings and a cute card. She's totally worth the mention since she's been totally awesome sending me SMS when I'm in the army and always keeping my spirits up! My own angel . Much to you *Hiphipo. I got her a present for her birthday that is today (March 5th) tho it might arrive a little late x_x its the thought that counts I guess~ still nontheless HAPPY BIRTHDAY *Hiphipo!!!
Well that should just about sum these past weeks up, just felt nice to get it down on text.

And so passed the first week of beeing in the army for the year. I'm fed up with it all.. been in for about 11 months now and its 'kiiiinda' starting to feel dull. For those who've actually seen the countdown of weeks from time to time. . . 19 WEEKS TO GO! I remember when i started counting them around 50 lol time has gone by way too fast . . . gives ya a lil nutcracker of a thought, ya know? "Life is short" and so on ... well I'm hoping the time thats left isn't gonna be too rough and I'm gonna keep at what I do. (Have to apply for a school in a couple of months if I want a shot at getting into one of the concept art design schools I've been wanting to).

Alrite, journal update of doom and donuts ^^

Alongside the Airforce crew in the intelligence and reconnaissance the tempo and rhythm of need-to-study and getting-things-to-study is shooting skyhigh. Leaving me with no known artworking time for a couple of weeks up ahead.
Some people were maybe expecting to see an upload regarding the finished version of the Pess picture I have as Work In Progress (click for an updated preview ) tho I'm afraid it never got further than that this week and I'm not going to take my laptop with me next week, cause I have to focus on getting all the specs and systems into my head. *Is easily distracted *

Tho the artwork nerve was tingeling the other night and managed to whip the Phantasy Star Universe picture together rather quickly. (Preview shown below aswell as recent deviation.)

Hola amigos y otra gente que por casualidad me dan una visita!

Haven't updated by journal for a couple of weeks and I guess it's time for one helluva "lägesorientering", eh, situation update

My fourth week in the airforce intelligence training has just passed by and all is well, to think that "going back to school" could be so relieving ^_^ just as it claims, I'm still in the army (35 weeks to go w00t :woot: ) tho studying intelligence and reconnaissance to serve as an assistant to my headquarters next year. Can't go into detail regarding what I'm doing and such seeing as some of it is rated Secret. (Had to sign a sh#tload of papers regarding consequences and stuff just 'if' something 'might' leak out, apparently they did a background check too o_O)
Anyhow so thats that, had my first exam today and guess all the studying payed off cause it went good starting from now I'll be having an exam each friday for a couple of weeks so question is if i'll have time to doodle as much over there 9_9, hah i'll probably make time

In my civilian life I have seen the love of my life and she's called FF7 Advent Children It was just what I needed in my gloomy everyday enviorment, the roudning up of Final Fantasy VII, the first bigger console RPG I played through which will always have a special place in my heart , and the topic of friendship and it's strengthgiving properties. not to mention it offering kickass battle after kickass battle in gorgeous 3D animated enviorments

A special mention to ~nuclear-fishstick who just went through his second (o_O) beret exam alongside the groupco's and soldiers. Respect to ya man. Always cheering me up and keeping me at it
Also ZK, not as supperior at Tokyo Highway Challenge now are ya? Always a pleasure to kick and to get my ass kicked at videogames vs ya.

HAHA If ya got this far I sure as hell must have bored the hell outta ya
well, blame it on the Blog structure and for it to be accessible!! nyah!

Ah, how swell to just type this down, I feel great!!!

Feeling great these days, finally got the news regarding my position in the army. Beeing placed in the Intelligence department. Yup yup, yet another month has passed and time flows by in "the civilian world". I've been having my share of civilian life yet again these two weeks of vacation I've had.. (almost over )

As I return after these weeks It'll be time to sort us grunts up to the squadrons and I'm headed to Intelligence I believe. Where I'll work computers n coordinates and tele/radio communication. . . . I think. . . I just want to get these 10 months over with Feels like since the Basic Soldiers Training's over it'll just be a monotonous journey all the way. I really hope I'm wrong.

My Graphire3 pen gave up on me.. It's been faithful over a year but it seems the button mechanism for the tip is malfuntioning so the tablet keeps drawing even tho ive lifter the pen.. It's ruined a couple of projects seeing as I havent been able to undo all the errors made out of it. I've ordered a new Graphire3 pen aswell as an A6 Photoframe for the actual tablet seeing as my current one is all scratchy...

Last week was my green beret exam thing... It was hell, not so demanding on the physical condition however really demanding on the psyche >_< When I came home last friday I was rather shook up from it also I had a fever and coughed like hell.. however we did get extended time on leave to recover a little better. Today is the last day tho and man, theres strong emotion in the idea of heading back. From what I can say now.. I just dun wanna but I guess the hard times are over for now after the beret exam and all.
I'll endure it some more for now..

Well.. what else is new? Oh yah, I got a tad extra lazy since I had a chance to try out a free one week subscription (for 2 whole days >_< ) 2 weeks ago I noticed it was soo much easier and comfortable to browse ones unread messages.. So I just couldn't keep myself from paying for a months subscription for now n_n

ahhh so much easier to browse when I come home each weekend ^_^

Seems like I won a weeks tryout subscription as I logged on today o_o didn't see that one coming... aaaanyhow.. updates.. updates..
yeah I've been on extended leave from the army due to me not having a drivers license and it beeing motored.week for those potential transport drivers in my platoon. woohoo! :woot: so I took the chance to do some artwork and well just take it easy...

wow.. Can't believe its aleady been two months.. time flies.. (even tho it feels like an eternity when I'm in) Got the test for my green berét coming up next week, me beeing nervous now o_o it's s'posed to be the toughest thing one goes through as a test to measure ones limits. I heard from friends on what they had to go through and all. hehe poor ~nuclear-fishstick was hallucinating at the end of his ^_^
I think it's 4-5 days marching with under minimum of sleep and food. So wouldn't surprise me if I'll be seeing Bobby Griff floating alongside me as I give it all I've got.

Primary work in progress is a little splash-screen alike thing of Malice, a character created by ~GenesisGoBoom dunno why I chose that dude among all the magnificent characters she's done, he just caught my attention.. I'm trying out somewhat of a DNAngel inspired style on it, hopefully I'll pull it off nicely and won't be killed that much by ~GenesisGoBoom Please! Think of the kitties Gen, THINK OF THE KITTIES!!!

I'm also currently working on a Final Fantasy X-Lulu picture as a form of collaboration between the daring * Flaskpost and yours truly. Sofar it's offered me mostly blood, sweat and tears however as the progress shows also quite a new bit of experience Thanks *Flaskpost for forcing me to work on it >_<

Anyhow due to the usage and the tip litterally shrunk.. I'm kind of afraid to do any big artwork 'til i've replaced the tip with a fresh new one.

I did some minor updating on the ID, also gave the sephiroth pic a little extra touch to kinda make it look newer or something... The next pic is taking quite some time to finish since I still have to figure out how to make rocks(cliffs) look more realistic same goes for cities and I have to figure out a better pose for the character in the pic aswell. Seriously.. I've entered one of the infamous inspiration leaks once more... It's not like I can't come up with something to make only that I can't find the reason to keep working on it, any new project is ofter left half-finished and forgotten.... So I'm rather frustrated.

Today I just got back from a 3-day cruise over to Finland and back, and boy was it relaxing The Buffét food, the seemed-to-be-neverending horizon over the ocean, the gambling ...
Oh! And last week was my last working week for this summer...
This leaving me with a helluvalot of sparetime. And atleast 40% of that extra time will be given to the artworking.
