The last year or so I have been feeling rather depressed about my art in general. Having a full time job has been killing me. Hmmmm... If anyone is reading this I would really appreciate you posting on this journal so I know you exist. I find it disturbing that a lot of my DA friends Have totally disappeared.

Also I'm going to try to be more picky with what lives in my gallery and what gets uploaded to scraps. That basically means more things are going to be simply uploaded as scraps. Ha.

Right now I'm trying to organize the more recent drawings for scanning. Ever since I got my new computer I lost a bunch of already scanned images. T_T It is going to take a while to figure out what has and has not been uploaded.

Lately I have been spending a lot of time on Gaia and Strategywiki. [link] I think the game guide wiki thing is a good idea and am really easily amused by working on keeping things cleaned up.

One project I have just about started is a drawing a day type of blog. I want to also have some older art in there and am currently digging through the gallery here trying to find interesting things.

Thats it really. Work keeps me from having much time for anything.

My job as a security guard at a credit union has been keeping me incredibly busy. In theory I will have some snazy fast internet working at my house next month. *fingers crossed*

I am so annoyed right now. My gameboy DS just broke. I have NEVER had a gameboy break before... It broke without suffering from a specific damage causeing trama too. Grr.

I only uploaded 4 newish things since I have recieved complaints about flooding inboxes... Though if I do have a fancy connection expect a small chunk of images more often.

I do have a habit on DA that I have never been proud of. I watch 100 too many people. Because of this when I can go through images I tend to quickly skim through them. Any that are intriguing will be opened/full viewed.

I tend to only run around and fav things I think are so cool/interesting that I want to go back and look at them again some day. Zoom in and savor those details and such.

Another habit I have is going through messages just filtering out and deleting things that don't interest me. It is less taxing on lame computers and connections. There is barely enough time for me to get online no less comment. Lately the people that demand a comment if a fav is taken annoy me. Thanks for demanding I give you some drivel since I only have the time to go "neato". *muttergrumblemutter* At least 90% of the time I don't have anything useful to say. I like only commenting if I have something useful to say.

... just got through about 600+ deviations... only about 2000 to go.

When I get back from the lesbian wedding on Saturday I will try to post some things new things. One of my Del characters finally freakin let me draw her human form without it being an example of my sporadic inability to draw people.

I have a nice vague plan that is going to go into effect soon. It goes well with my job(so much extra time to work on concept work) and will most likely be me talking to myself since I'm certain a maximum of 15 people would care at all.

The phrase "Original character" will spit what you upload into the anthro category. This is fun, we get to select more options just to see them not actually existing as galleries and then be lied to.

This only annoys me because most of what I do is make up ANIMAL species. No talking or understanding people. Stupid animals. Shouldn't Anthropomorphic suggest they have SOME human qualities. This is like putting a human in the anthro section. Technically people are animals.... and they have human qualities.

....... I wish that subcategory was "original setting" as in "I am trying to creatively make my own setting with unique lands, animals, and peoples." I understand the people aspect of this would most likely

...I was excited to see how they had fixed things. I wish we only had categories for mediums. I'm sick of the constant changes.

OK, its that time again. If I have any uncolored linework you are dying to see colored than suggest what I should color next. Please include links.

Also, I caved in and bought pokemon pearl even though I can't afford it. There goes my food money. *survives off of rice* My team is only lv 12-22 right now and I just reached the second gym, so I'm reluctant to start doing any trading or battles yet. Damn, am I still desperate for a fire pokemon. With one of those my team would be completely balanced. *mopes in a corner* At least my electric pokemon finally frigin learned an electric attack. *twitches* Why can't electric pokemon start with thundershock?

Man do I hate all of the starters this generation... Though now I want a Torcoal and Squirtle so I can make an almost all turtle team.

Ever since my copy of photoshop started crapping out on me I have lost the desire to hash out more pages of Novelty Aesthetic. The whole "you can't save" thing is not proper inspiration to try to do a good detailed job.

...so many images uploaded. It's about time I go back through the gallery and fix some naming conventions and resizing a bunch of the really old stuff(some of them are huuuuuge). I really really hope these alterations won't pop up in your message areas.

I have way to many separate stories/projects and it is hard to obviously label all of the images for them as in that specific setting. I'm mighty tempted to copy a naming convention I have seen a few of the people I watch do(though they mostly do fanart and fanfic types of things). It is something along the lines of

abbreviation for specific series/story/whatever: title

Here is an example if I used Project myar:

PM: captain design

..... yeah, I don't know if I should do something like this. It is really spiffy and I am certain it is for helping non subscribers know what they do and do not want to look at in the messages... or something.

Wow that is a common sounding title. Heh.

You all get to hear a story now... Since I have to fix my mistake now.

For a good long while I backed up my main flash drive on my beloved imac, Narg. I kept images that were waiting to be uploaded there and thus I have a ton of images that have 5-15 duplicates of themselves floating around. Another thing that makes the problem more fun is the layout of folders on the backed up versions of the flash drive are different every month. Arg. I am using the search section in the finder and focusing on each image one by one hunting and deleting the useless copies.

One other much WORSE problem has arrived. A lot of the linework I am finding... I have no idea if it has been uploaded yet or ever. The only positive thing about this is I do recognize any linework I have CGed before. Thus the answer is clear. I just need to CG ALL linework I find on that computer. Then if I try to upload them, it won't secretly be a repeat.

No wonder I have been experimenting with the concept of speedpainting. I bet there is 200-300 individual bits of different linework hanging out on that hard drive.

the internet is not available a home for me at the moment... too expensive. I now bug my neighbor to let me use his connection. Whoop. That is why I have not been around lately.

I have been having fun speed painting in photoshop lately. Most of what is uploaded will be some kind of that.

Another random decision has been found... but there I no telling if I will stick with it. crappy scraps deserve crappy speed painting. It is only fair to make them a little more tolerable and fun for those who watch my scraps.

One other thing. Commissions are closed since nobody wants them and leaving them open only makes me feel delusional and sad. The only person to want one wants me to do something I already declared my poor crappy mac can't do right now. Large resolution images. There was a reason why the only digital tings available were the baby 300X300 pixel ones. They wanted something print size. You know who you are and I am still horribly sorry. Not only won't the program work at high sizes, it refuses to let me save half of the time. There is no way in hell I can proceed until I have a new computer and that is not coming any time soon.

All of this has left me pretty grumpy. I hate letting people down... and actually opening commissions has been something I have put off for this very reason. There is no point. DA is just not the right place to do this. Too many people severely undercharge to a point where the time it takes to do it is not even worth it. See, I told you I am now grumpy with this whole deal.

Did you all know that I stash rambling about specific details on characters/ideas/details of world in my deviation description areas sporadically? Well, I do just that. The "datarant", as I call it, will only be pointed out in the title of the image if it is HUGE... like a few pages worth of text.

*in the middle of writing a huge datarant on a deviation*

If I never specify what story random data belongs to, it would be "Higai Moso" or "The Walking Wounded". They are in the exact same setting, just with varying focuses.

"Higai Moso" - epic story in 3 sections following a handful of humans

"The Walking Wounded" - any of the stories that star characters that are Del Demons

One thing that brings me great joy is my lazy playfulness when it comes to naming things. I love throwing around words that in context mean somethnig very specific to me and the story, but out of context they mean very different things. Take for example my most thrown around word: "Demon". In the main setting I am working on, a demon is ANY being from the more magical parallel world to the one that the humans live in. Many of these demons are very saintly. species and individuals that would be equivalent to angels would still be called demons.... yet the word demon is still an overall negative word. Like a title of superstition. ignorant humans lumping everything together... good fun

so... I was happily sleeping and in my dream I had made a glorious image. I'm pretty ticked off because in the image I had for the first time ever achieved 2 very hard things for me.

1: Except for the BG, everything was nice pixel art(sooo bad at that).
2: There was a large amount of shore and ocean in it and it freakin looked like water. This is especially funny because right before I woke up I was talking with someone about the water and they thought it didn't look right at all and I was still "its the best I have ever done"

Actually... The way the image was, random details of the scenario, were hilarious. In the dream, I had the image in my favorite deviation spot(the image that is always on the top of the main DA page), it was fanart, and it was amazing.... and it was ignored by all. It was actually a really cool image that was like a tribute to the southern islands thing they had done with the pokemon cards(may have used the wrong title). The composition was a big triangle of focuses and similar areas: beach, sky, ocean. All I remember was a Togetic in the sky and a Lapras in the ocean... each main area had 3 big pokemon as the focus and lots of tiny pokemon hidden about.

My mind is still reeling from the shock of feeling pride that was proven non-existant... The 2 aspects that were done well still hurt. I absolutely LOVE pixel art. I'm an oldschool type of gamer so it makes me feel all fuzzy inside looking at things like it. I am as bad at pixel art to the same extreme as my love for it.

ok, topic change.

The day before yesterday I came to a random decision. i want to play with my tablet because it is fun, not just to try to make something that looks good. Its time for some ME art. No sketching, undoing, concern for overall quality or if ideas are coherent. It tempts me to make a series of images that exaggerates every (character) design trend that aggravates/annoys me and add a mini rant to my hatred for subject... and more importantly, WHY I dislike the horribly overdone aspect. Random examples are breasts on reptile anthros, ears that are wings, and eyes where each one is a different color(things like the eye one would be cool if it was a rare design concept, but when I look at random fursonas or random people, it is more COMMON than eyes that are the same color.)

I shall go off and upload it now. They turned out strange and sketchy. I'm calling the mini series of tablet drawings that were me art the "Anti" series... Mostly because they all share the Same BG that has a word bubble like my DA ID with the anti symbol in it. I love that I can use pen and ink techniques on the computer with a tablet.

I have been coloring ancient linework a lot lately. Its crazy fun. I'm throwing in random new(technically old, but unseen by you guys) linework so my updates aren't only repeats.

...there are a lot of hidden rants and datarants on linework. It is very random when I want to write up a good ole HUGE desc of a setting, concept, or character.

i'm off to get my hair lopped off for locks of love. Luckily for me, after 10 inches are removed my hair will still be past my shoulders. Any shorter and I would go crazy.

Technically, if I were to actually say "for the love...." it would be a statement of frustration. This reminds me that massive frustration sets in when I try to do any comic related things. Layouts and conveying motion kills me.... I have been planning on, for a while, making some story boards of random moments in some of my stories. It would practically be a picture book without the making sense. I know my story boards are pretty bad, but they are doable. Woah, doable is a word... spellcheck says so.

My current standards on my own scraps are way more lax then then they first became.

since I dig around in my gallery for linework to color, some of those decent(or practically decent) bits of linework and ancient colored things are going to pop back into the gallery. Perhaps a few things will be deleted as well.

I desperately hope a category change like this won't pop up in the message areas. That would be bad.

This should only effect the back of my gallery. I realized a few weeks ago that even though my uploading of linework will never be in chronological order, my digital stuff will. I tend to upload a digital image the week it was done. The gallery already does an incredible job of displaying how my skills have grown. My very first photoshop things are in there... I can trace my steps to when I finally figured out the secret techniques of getting linework to be agreeable when colored.... When I finally began seriously shading everything...

It is pretty neat in retrospect. I am personally happy that I made that promise so long ago. "Even if I think an image is bad or lame, it gets uploaded. It is most likely not bad at all." I am the biggest critic of my own work

Instead of sleeping last night I scanned. Oh how I scanned.

139 new images in my "just scanned" folder now... I just scanned 139 things. At the beginning I was in a hot streak and got a chunk of some pretty good ones. Before I stopped I had begun digging into a clump of really old drawings and me failing at drawing people.

As always, my gallery is not in any sort of chronological order. I never scan things when they are drawn. The new sketches are added to my eternally 3 inch thick stack of papers that need scanning.

Ugh, uts 10 AM... I'm going to go sleep now. I got a nice dent in the stack.

I have stated many times that my beloved iMac, Narg, is basically dying and refuses to run more than one program without constant freezelags. everywhere I look is the rainbow wheel of death. It tend to go away in 15 min...

Oh yeah?! There was a point I was planning on making. When online or using photoshop I prefer having itunes on so I can listen to music(misplaced the cord of my CD player). I can't really do that now so my new standard is leaving the TV on. Recently I have been turning on 'Little Shop of Horrors' and getting to work. Good lord do I love musicals, especially this one. It autoplays really quickly while at the menu too. On average I listen to the whole thing about 4 times before getting off of the computer.... I bet a normal person would just go buy a soundtrack

On a random note(as if the top one was not random)... I think my comments sound funny. Since I watch 100 too many people my message area is always swamped so I never have the time for commenting anymore. thus any time I am moved to comment it is because the image or idea really grabs me. The standard equation is this:

"ooooh/wow/awwww, statement of approval. tries to state strong points or favorite part."

I'm always at a loss of words when it comes too commenting and just saying "neat" would piss people off.... and for some reason 1 out of 10 people take the word interesting as an insult. Pffft, I don't have time to insult people.

Ugh, this just reminds me of the deviants I watch or encounter that constantly bitch and obsess over either getting no comments, only getting pointless comments(if only they could trade problems), never getting favs, and getting "holy crap" amounts of favs... and the standard "my fanarts get more attention than my original works TT_TT".... yep, lots of sheep on DA... I also don't remember a single uber "popular" person on DA being happy about the overwhelming amount of attention. I remember one of my friends honestly upset that ANYTHING she uploaded would get enough favs to pop up on the front page in the "most something" area. I have also heard of sheep attacking artists for having their art appear in that area. Pffft(again), the artist has no control over this. Stop being a jerk.

Holy tangent batman! I just wanted to point out my lameness of listening to the same movie over and over while working.

Do your best everyone! The largest fraction of the internet are made of incompetent and strangely aggressive sheep. Don't let them bring you down.

my computer is on its last legs. Photoshop kind of refuses to save now and everything is a massive lag.

This is so frustrating because for a gloriously brief moment I could of bought a new one. Around x-mas I had to choose between going on an awesome road trip with friends or new computer.

Damn, I hate this... I can't even do my one and only commission in this state. The fact that they want something I am not offering is being ignored because they are the only ones interested. I don't even know what prices a full size print resolution digital thing would be. More than 10$, thats what. My computer is not saving correctly and can barely handle anything so its put off indefinitely. I feel like the biggest jerk ever.

Since I was waiting for information needed for my resume to not look sketchy, I let the job search die down a bit. My only help is probably mad at me and I will be calling them tomorrow. At least one bridge was burned.

I LOVE busy work... being busy in general. My ego is dimunitive though... Not good at selling my self and being confident so interviews are hard. I have this talent at saying the wrong things. Lately I have been volunteering at a local community orchestra. Zaiqukaj has NO musical abilities. I am there to be supportive for 2 of my friends and if they need any basic helpers(set up, paperwork, ect). I have been helping them organize their files from hell. They are happy with my work, but its all volunteer work. Next week I am going to ask if any of them mind being the available number when the volunteer work goes on my resume. Filing and paperwork could be useful skills... No experience is painful. Its all volunteer work I don't have all of the information on.

I'm so easily intimidated. It is going to take forever to pass the interview stage. I can't even write a competent cover letter.

I so desperately want to be busy and productive again. Side projects are alright, but every time I remember the job need thing.. the dreading returns and things collapse a bit.

...I have been bitching too much in the journals. Sorry... Things are kind of frustrating and empty right now. Jeez, spazspazspaz and get nothing done. I am broken.

I'm still sitting on a ton of scanned or pre-scanned linework of varying quality and age. As a rule, I grab a completely random chunk of papers to scan. Except for colored works, there is no chronological order to my gallery. I'm still finding and uploading crap from highschool(4ish years ago?)... So don't be surprised to see random older and lamer stuff uploaded.

I shall set a random goal I may or may not be able to fulfill. Lets also let me be a geek and use dice to force me to upload a minimum of so many images a day.

Since I have been pending most of my time playing with the baby tablet... 1d6 sketches per colored image sounds good. Archaic journals need deleting too. Perhaps I need to delete 5 journals for every one I post. That should begin thinning the numbers

note- anything with an odd partial done look or low quality things entering the gallery are going there so I remember to color them. If any of you don't like it, well tough. In the end it is my choice what is gallery worthy... Most of the time I ask myself "Was I proud/satisfied with this when it was made?"

So, I go to bed because I'm desperately tired and about 5 min into laying down and becoming warm, it hits me. Spontaneous overwhelming cramps or unidentified inner torso pain. It feels like my organs are revolting against the body and trying to gain their freedom from the bodies tyranny. *twitch* Yeah... trying to sleep just magnifies my awareness of the pain. Its almost bearable now that I am distracting my mind with the internet and Advance wars.

Since its 6am, there is no asking my neighbor what would be best to take for this... and if I can have any. The only thing medicine like was aspirin. Heres hoping that didn't just make it worse.

I was desperately hunting down files I could live without and delete off of my glitchy beloved mac and I stumbled upon a stash of old CG stuff I completely forgot to upload... So yeah, I will be uploading a chunk of things that are not as spiffy as the last few things. I was really happy with them when they were made, but now I feel a little meh about a couple(at least one is only going to appear in the scraps.).

To make up for this the last upload will be something new... kinda. My first coloring attempt and linework are already in the gallery somewhere.

Beyond that, I have what might be a good job lead, at least it will be another interview under my belt. It is a possible full time office job, secretary like. It sounds really good and I want it, the only downside is it is a "professional environment" I need to get some clothing that qualify if I do get it.

I'm stuck in a frustrated kind of depressed stupor as I have been looking for a job. I officially lost faith in the school I was going to and will not be going back. That alone makes me feel stupid and wasteful. It was fun and I would not trade the skills and friends I gained there for anything... I just do not believe I can compete and be able to get a related job that would faithfully earn rent money every month. At this point, I just want to have a basic job(s) that earn rent and what is required to live and freelance on the side. Since I don't think anyone would hire me for any freelance graphic design related stuff at this point, I mean working on things like project myar. If I can get something I feel passionate about up and working... then once it gets off the ground I should start getting my name out there. I feel like the deck is stacked against me. Every time I try to work on Myar, the art block jumps up and tars away at my ego... This is kind of funny to me since I don't remember the last time I was more proud of my skills.

Wanting a basic job... to be able to pay what is needed to live doesn't sound like asking too much. I'm REALLY easily intimidated and keep on screwing up interviews. I have no real previous experience and my GPA's were never any good. I was starting to lose my mental stability as I was in denial about the art school I was going to so my last few quarters butchered my GPA there too. Next rant I will explain in painful details why I lost faith in the school. So the applications that ask for GPA's in the school sections instantly freak me out. An important aspect of my morale is not ever knowing what my GPAs are. My priority with school has always been the learning part... I was never good at the homework thing.... But don't let that let you lose faith in my working ability. I thrive on mindless repetitive tasks(why do you think I LIKE stippling)... all the times I have volunteered to help out with things I am normally super productive, focused on accuracy and quality, and the instant I am done with a task I ask for another. If that is not desirable worker traits I do not know what is!

Everytime my muse comes along and kicks me in the ass and yells "Hey, do something epic this very moment!" It has been denying me decent drawings and yet is inspiring me to write. I know, "holy crap, I thought writing was zaiqukaj's enemy." The only kind of writing that I don't freeze and am intimidated by are freestyle datarant style writing. I absolutely LOVE to obsess over an idea and overdevelop it. Normally my excited writing about my ideas are only shared when I am chatting with a choice few online buddies on AIM. I get all excited and flood the person with data. Imagine my biggest rant on one of my journals. That is microscopic compared to one of these idea datarants that are only able to cover a small fragment of anything.

As of late, has been getting all of my internet attention. I have been RPing on a few message board deallies on rpol.net ...My posts tend to span 1-3 pages. I'm just happy my twitchy desperation and dreading energy is going into something.

Bah, The last 3 weeks have been spent being paralyzed by feeling sick. My fish keep on dying. I lost 4 of them in different tanks within a week of eachother.

Holy bitch-a-thon batman! That was a lot of bitching. As always, I love anyone who ever bothers to read my rants. You are the few and the awesome :3

woah, this page loaded without any formatting. It is neat and hurts my brain.

So... I just read a few journals about whatever the current issue people are talking about nowadays. Whenever I hear radical ideas on solutions to problems I should have been facing but have not encountered at all... I become spooked.

Edit- the person who made the journal I linked to below is incredibly civil and really has this thought out. I am still in shock. Never have I seen a more levelheaded professional sounding person on the internet.

They have some efficient and well thought out ideas even though I disagree with them. For some reason I haven't been having the timeout or lag problems(That seem to be epic problems to these people). Thats what I get for having a mac(which I still adore) that likes to lag for 5-20 min over ANYTHING. Right before I submitted my comment on their journal and scrolled down ever so slightly the computer froze for 5 min and then the browser crashed(as in without warning closed and was gone). Thankfully this happens all the time. I mean... since this sporadic browser crashing happens all the time, I copy anything that took more than a min to write before clicking on anything that is not me typing.

For the record, I am madly in love with how DA is right now. The new upload dealy is slick and actually one of those things I wanted them to do. In the good old days, the absurd amount of windows it took to upload anything were my biggest complaint. Also for the history of me being here, random people become bitchy and sporadically leave for a plethora of reasons. *twitch* I absolutely hate the people that freak out over how random people on DA treat them. They delete EVERYTHING in their galleries, and declare that they are leaving. A few months later they have returned and re-uploaded some images.... A few months later they freaking do it again. I swear one person that is absolutely made of talent has done this at least 5 times *twitch froth twitch* What the hell?!

Below is my stance on the random issue I have stumbled upon and linked to. Technically the chunk in quotes is my comment on the person's journal. Since I am illiterate when it comes to current events on DA.(I defiantly spent a week wondering around going "the hell?" when the Jark nonsense was going on... I also was doing a similar thing during the reaction to the Guatemala thing. With my luck the only time I respond in a timely manner to something, it will only be a big issue between a handful of people)

This is well written and I do feel for you guys if you have been experiencing a lag and timing out.. . I wonder if browser/computer/internet connection have any relevance to these problems. They are very interesting and efficient ideas... but I have a hard time with some.

Ever since I joined DA I have noticed some days it lapses into read only mode, but it tends to go away in a few hours or a day. Though it annoys me as it does everyone(I bet even the staff on DA dislike when the site is down), the downtime is temporary.

Yes, the idea of the ads on DA are inconvenient and horribly unprofessional if you send a random person to your gallery. The simple side of things is ads earn DA extra revenue to help run things. Ads secretly play a larger role. They motivate a fraction of the population to subscribe when they probably would not have otherwise. Though it is considered a sneaky marketing ploy, it also has a brilliant side. People will pay for convenience and benefits... on a similar note, people will also pay to avoid inconvenience. If my car breaks down when I am far from my home (and I know nobody that would give me a ride) do I walk or pay money for a taxi or rent-a-car?

There is one idea of yours that I think is interesting and could be a good method of control. The 200 deviation cap for free members. It not only would help limit their uploading, it would force people like me to constantly be a subscribed member. Say I have 500 deviations in my gallery and scraps as a subscribed member. The month my subscription wears out I am tight on money and it takes me a few weeks after it wears out to renew(for me this happens every time). When I fall from grace and become a free member, would the overflow go into storage? Maybe be auto deleted? Even though I was unable to get that job at KFC, my good friend and neighbor Randi did.

The KFC is in a slightly worse part of town than where we live... a little deeper into whitecenter than we want to be, so Randi's husband, Logan, and I have a rule. If ever it is possible, she needs to have walking buddies when she walks to and from work... Thus he always walks with her and often I am there too.

When we go to walk her home when she works late, we often wait until midnight so we can buy super cheap and day old chicken that if not bought will be thrown away. It is awesome, like chicken thanksgiving for 6$. Tonight we walked to the KFC like normal and ran into my friend Alex, who has a car. He was driving someone home so we all had a few hellos and he drove away. We continued walking to KFC. Upon reaching the KFC, Alex was already there eating chicken with Randi as she waited for us.

I love friends that give me free food, so I with permission sit down and begin eating boneless chicken wings. Basically chunks of crispy chicken between popcorn and strip in size. We eat for a while and i mention how I like the chicken when it gets day old and dehydrated. It is even MORE crispy. I also am a big fan of the breading so I often go for the smaller pieces seeking out crispy breading. We are about to go and I bite into a bigger piece of chicken than the ones I had previously been eating. It was so surprised by what I had found I had to randomly exclaim state "Hey, this one has chicken in it." ... the previous pieces were so dehydrated I could not detect their slivers of chicken. Upon this statement all of us burst into laughter, even random employees.

*sigh* good times... My friends tend to like me because I say stupid things. I like hanging out with Randi, she is really smart and good at English(like writing and papers, my bane)... and for some reason, I am the only person in the world that can get away with using bad grammar and or incorrect English in front of her. Everyone else gets scolded and corrected. hehehe. It also completely mystifies and dumbfounds me that random words in my vocabulary pop up in conversation and she has no idea what they mean. "What? You don't know the word aloof? But... thats a common word. You had a good excuse for not knowing cacophony but... aloof?!" Once I am done sputtering gibberish of disbelief, I begin trying to define the word. No luck, the best easy definition for it was haughty which was proven to be another word she did know.

... aloof is a distant kind of pride(that alone suggests selfishness)... It also is a personality I would define as a "holier than thou" personality....

"holier than thou" is one of my preferred terms for an egotystical anything I do not like that thinks they are better than others.

Hahaha, I am pretty good at having an internal thesaurus. I am very good at playing the game Taboo... actually, I really love games. Board games, card games... whatever. Its fun.

Ugh, so I get up and work on the job application I need done today and about 1/5 of it I either can't fill out or am uncertain on what to put there. I am dealing with that right now.

My throat has been a crispy wound since yesterday. I thought if I rested the whole day it would be better today. No, its the same.

My friend and neighbor comes over to help me with the application and she notices that 2 out of 3 of my new fancy round goldfish are dead. My official theory is that fish one died and drifted towards the filter. Once stuck by the filter, a living fish goes over to investigate/morn/peck at the dead... the intent does not matter, what matters is the filter grabbed one of his tails and developed a fatal suction death grip. *shudder* Poor fishy, that is one of the least pleasant fish deaths

now I have to finish my half done application and get it to the place. With my super luck today I missed the deadline

The only bright side of today is I got an x-mas gift and I am going out for food after turning in the application.

I have been feeling a little sick lately. In a few days I will hopefully be having another interview. This time it is at a printing store(think stationary)... one of the things they are looking for is a mac user, OS10 too! Of all operating systems, thats the one I am most familiar with... hopefully that will help make me look better since I still do not have any work experience yet.

I just want to earn enough for rent and the basics... food and stuff. *shrug* after this interview, if it doesn't work (last few went badly) I am going to really work harder on the job search.

on a happy note- I bought some fancy round goldfish today. 2 black big puffy eye ones and an orange and white one. They are sooo cute! I really hope they do not die as quickly as the last ones.

Zaiqukaj's New Year Dragon project
I just realized that I don't have many dragon characters, but lots of dragon doodles. These poor fellows deserve a name (and some of them, a body). This problem goes hand in hand with my need to get better at making linework with the baby tablet.... thus I shall try revamping/redrawing ALL random dragons (that don't already belong to someone else) in my gallery. Ah ha! Now I have something to do over new years.

If you can tell which picture this dragon is based on... then you are crazy devoted... or something

i'm going to be going on a road trip that will last from the 15th until the day before x-mas. We will be going from Seattle to California, to Reno, then to my hometown of Spokane WA.

I'm so excited, I get to see . Fwhee! Its been an insanely long time since I have seen her last. heh, the 2 people I'm going on he trip with are not on DA, so you don't need me telling you who they are.

Hopefully i will be able to come back with random stories.

On a different note, I was working on some Project myar sketching. Only one of the drawings turned out decent but the pose is pretty stupid. Every time I sit down and try working on this, I end up frustrated and with massive art block. Its because I still have not found a few designs for the characters that I'm satisfied with. The worst of them is Hack's coat.... I have also been failing at designing his axe he used to use back in his youth. Its why his name became Hack, he was good at hacking enemies into bits. I'm thinking of working on script/storyboards on when the trio of main characters met. good ole way back when... Slash had good vision at this time... Yeah, it will either turn into a story or mini comic. Making anything comic like kills me. I have never had anything give me worse art block.

I'm desperate to get back to work on Project Myar, but nothing is working when I try to work on it.

It is so much fun to develop a separate and new set of a personality and background for characters. People that go out and play things that are basically their personality in that setting are missing out in the real fun.

I personally love developing a characters personality, goals, opinions, background... Its very fun. Its also why I like overdeveloping my story characters. *drool* over thinking things is what I live for.

Lately I have been playing a few of those RPGs that are played online through message boards. Woo. Its one of the few scenereos where I don't absolutely suck at writing.

I also get to casually state things like this:
"They however do react to massive bodily harm with death."

I have been playing 2 separate games lately(the one i was playing a while ago died). Sad that my last magic school RPG died, i joined a new one. Woo, this teacher of mine is more eccentric than the last one +2.

...and the other game that i have really getting into is a game where we get to be deities. I'm having fun going crazy trying to play something that is lawful. Pfft, its so hard for me to play anything that is not chaotic. I'm actually pulling it off... though my deity is horribly passive and obsessive. Its good fun. You WILL be seeing pictures related to this soon. My deity, Anand, is a giant glowing serpent made of energy and his newly created mortals were raised by wolves :3 Harharhar, I'm the amused.

I hopefully have a job interview at Gamestop next week. It will be my second interview ever, so I'm already nervous. *worries*

My markers get no love. I think I need to use all these old kiddy markers through use so they can die in a sputtering bout of glory. Too bad markers always have those ugly stroke overlap seems. So far only sharpies and crazy-expensive markers avoid this problem.

Hey, Spanish sesame street is on TV. Way to be random, public television. Sometime last month I saw a documentary on the people that make Sesame street and how they have been making new versions for different countries and target audiences. The one they made for India is so cool looking. Its crazy. Anything that randomly bursts into song is spifftastic in my book. The fact that this is in a language makes it more enjoyable. No being biased by knowing the subject or meaning.

Its really stormy here right now... actually its been this way all day. I love stormy weather and rain... but we have been having a pretty long streak of rain. My shoes are all eternally wet and soggy.

Rain and wind kill my phone, so no reception for me. This really sucks since I was desperate to check my messages today. I need to call back to set up an interview at my local Gamecrazy, yay. My stupid phone completely died and was a brat all day, antiyay. I guess I need to go on a long journey just to find a place that gives me good enough reception to listen to the message with the number 5 times.

I just hope the fact that it took me a ew days to get their message won't make them insta-disqualify me.

My cell phone is useless. It barely can hold a charge and its continuing to love its current hobby: NOT RINGING WHEN CALLED. What the crap is that. I'm working on getting a new one, but it has a lot of required steps.

Since I failed at communicating with my friend, I don't think I will get to see her this weekend. Arg. I hope she won't be mad at me. Mabey I will do something artful tomorrow, er i mean, in the late afternoon since its definitely tomorrow today. Its almost 7am. Being nocturnal is fun... but almost all businesses are closed during late.

heh, can you tell I have been working out random details on my Del demons? Did you see how huge the desc. on this is: Darn, I want to work more On my Del stuff, but everytime I try designing the people, it looks stupid and I feel all art blocky. I have a good fraction of the story done for it. I need to get off my butt and work on one of these silly projects of mine.

I'm so unmotivated to work on Project Myar right now. I finally got a turnaround of a generic Myar cat done and I lose it while cleaning. Not only that, I just found kitty pirates in one of my video games that are dangerously close to how the Myar kitties look. crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap... crap. They seem to close to each other and I freakin finally got the Myar kitties style down. This crap is depressing.

I'm sick of people taking advantage of me for being a nice person. In the end of the day I hate people. For every 1 good person there are always 10 other mean horrible people to balance the world out. Why do I have to be nice. I would much prefer being an irrational bitch... but no, I get to continue to be good ole me.

On a lighter note, I got to go ice skating with my friend's youth group or should I say "young adults group" since none of us were anything near youths. It was fun, almost snapped my ankle in half with non-fitting shoes. I went to exchange them and then a less severe version of the same problem occurred on the other foot. Happy to not be crippled, I stuck with these ones. It was fun, I did not fall down... so yay.

I also have some new DS games. Hoo-rah! I finally have a copy of cooking mama *dances* I am the gyoza master, master of all gyoza.

I really need to finish my comic present for and work on some Del stuff.

I feel like the worst friend ever. I will have to throw a late b-day party/get together with my AIS friends. Its for the best, half of my friends I gained through my neighbors are um? annoying. If anyone is mad.... well, I suck.

I found a new message board RPG that is pretty fun(the one I was playing went all inactive when I dissapeared). The only thing I hate about these things is the fact that just about EVERYBODY else is a better writer than me. It tends to make me feel out of place. At least I am abstract creative. This one I have been playing is different compared to any others I have played. We get to be gods in a newly born world. Heh, I'm the only one who's true form is not humanoid shaped. Good fun. I was going to base the god on my Raven character... but changed my mind last min, but his avitar looks like Raven's avitar form.... I bet that only made sense to less than 4 people

Oh, and the GM is an insanely crazy good writer(mabey my love of anti-grammer is why I'm lacking at writing). Anyone who wants to join in should reply and ask for the URL

Other than that, I need to finish frantically cleaning my apartment now... so many dishes to wash.... Woo.
