Eating less and healthy and not gain weight and slowly losing weight or at least keeping active. You gotta give me kudos for trying since I hate exercise!!
Work is turning around for the better, getting more responisibilty and problem solving during different situations. Even getting more experience and thinking for myself and helping others learn. I'm happy at work and I still get the same excitment rating since I've been working at Coles in March 06.

Earning money and trying to save it has been also a hard task for me to do. So far I've saved up just over a grand and a half in the last 2 months so I can go to Melbourne and even have enough money for XMas presents this year. I'm even doing side projects to keep the cash flowing. ie Business cards and ads for the locals in rockhampton... I've just done a few ads this month and I've had training, so the results are always pleasing to the customer.
If you would like a cheap graphic designer... I'm your CHICKY!!

I've even rang Bel Canto and book appointments for singing lessons for my mum and I to do every 2nd saturday, so eventually we might be performing xmas carrols or some shows in the Pilbeam Theatre. I'll keep you posted on those events!!

Oh and I nearly forgot, I've also been a busy bee and writing some flute music and thinking of doing some solo pieces or be a guest performer playing a tune with bands like Level 27 and Black Sons of Oblivion. Yes yes they are excited and happy to let me play in one of their songs... or even let me compose a piece for that matter... yet again I'll keep you posted if I get to be in a gig with the bands...

Lastly I do this as a hobby to improve myself and find a career path... I'm even going to enrol back into TAFE and going to do some Make-up/Beauty courses for commercial use.
I am a graphic designer, a photographer, a music composer and a happy junkie in progress!!

Jan: My god sister visits me for new years and tagging along with her an old friend I haven't seen since primary school, 2001.

Feb: Started a Graphic Design course and loving it. Plus my dad joined too, he was my class mate

March: Had a relationship lasting me 17 months and ended. Still friends though, sigh of relief.

April: My 19th b'day had over 7 people showing up that night. Got a pink dress & matching shoes. Dyed my hair orangy red.

May: Became a regular at the Heritage night club. Started to drink more and had a group new of friends. (friends didn't last long)

June: Discovered a techno group 'NAU'. Requested PNAU songs Wild Strawberries and Embrace 3 months straight. Plus worked at a printing factory for 3 months as well as working nights at Coles.

July: Travelled to Brisbane alone to see friends and family and admired works of Picasso and his collection at the museum. My great grandma passed away at age 91.

August: Dyed my hair red and dark brown. Attended more parties, hung out with the clubs. Applied for Web Design and Pre Press courses, didn't finish all the assignments. Got my first SHAKIRA DOLL off eBay!

September: Best friend Cindy moved away to Brisbane. Caught in a limbo, wondering if I am ready for a relationship. Got pretty stressed to impress myself and everyone else that I can work at 2 jobs without complaining. Kept going to the Heritage Hotel danced away my problems...

October: Got given a phone number by a hot guy at work and dated for a week and during that time I found out I didn't get the apprenticeship at the printing factory. Couldn't have been happier! The stress disappeared and I was becoming myself again! Dressed up as a Witch for Coles Halloween fundraising day.

November: Took my graphic design to the next level; designed a PNAU t-shirt for Cindy and I. Saw PNAU live at Stereosonic festival in Brisbane and was extremely let down. Friendship with Cindy grew fonder.

December: Discovered that some people are not worth it. However, made some new friends who aren't back stabbers. Had a quiet XMAS, no brother or aunty visiting this time. A new night club opened up, Cindy & I checked it out and found out that Cindy isn't a fan of PNAU...

First time I created a Shakira DVD, bought and recieved a Shakira Shirt from her website.

Relationship Status: Still single and still my hair is orangy red... Anyone care to dye it forever red for me?

My mate who owns a amusement park business wants me to design a new logo for his lil business. Wants more than 3 variations of type/fonts styles and designs and I have the freedom to colour the logo any colour I like and I can add pictures or symbols for his logo! His mum wants to see some variations of my designs and help him choose which looks good etc. A co-worker from the shopping centre liquor store wants me to design a business card for his show dogs! He was impressed with all my journals as he saw my 'HotSpot' logo, letterhead, business card, with complements slip and envelope. i'm now 19 and am single
doin graphic design at tafe college and hoping to pass and my dad is in the same class, so we're class buddies!! lol its hilarious!
i'm learning how to use adobe cs3 suite illustrator, photoshop and indesign, if you know how to use them or got any tips or even artwork for me it would be great to know and observe! i've created a logo and a shakira redraw YES I FINALLY DID SHAKIRA ON THE COMPUTER!!!!! a cartoon picture of her will be here soon on dev art!! Still dont know what to do though, I want to be a graphic designer but I'm not sure if this course will be here next semester or next year because people keep dropping out which means classes get smaller and so far its only me and some other girl in class this morning, not looking good at all
being single sucks cos i miss the ex but never mind its been over a month i should be over it by now. anywhos class is starting now so i have to go!

Well I spoke to my pen pal yesterday on his mobile and he said that he's coming back to australia next year to visit the rest of it... meaning omg he's going to come to queensland.
i'm happy about that! YIPPEE... I'm so relieved that I ignored Nick about giving my pen pal a mouth full to why he aint visiting me... if I did that then that would of been the end of the friendship! So anyways I'm stressed out from work, but at the same time glad I got more hours.

*TODAY'S UPDATE*
7th December, 2:30pm
Work is annoying me... i love my job but right now they are watching me constantly and counting my till/register EVERY TIME I SIGN IN AND OUT. I'm the only one (apparently i'm not) who has to be counted. Found out there is another person but he wasn't at work that Saturday. One of the supervisors was frustrated about having to do a spot balance on my till when I had to go to lunch and come back, the till had to be counted again... it was really busy and she got annoyed about it. I was really puzzled I had no knowledge of the reason. I said to her "you just counted me off why do you need to count me on again i was only gone for 15 minutes?!
The reason: I have too many errors in the record book of register balances. My till has either been under or over the amount. (i dont know the name of the book so i call it book of register balances)
I know for a fact that I DON'T STEAL! I can make a mistake or two, but I don't do it deliberately!! I'm so cautious now, that I keep a calculator in the register draw, just on the off chance I press a button and give the wrong change. I don't even trust myself with money anymore, I now rely on a calculator, its silly but my self-esteem has gone down since I found out why they're checking my till. I even had a panic attack as soon as I found out that other co-workers weren't being counted on or off. I had to leave my register and let someone else take over, I felt so sick.
I spoke to a supervisor and she told me that they are trying to find where and what time the til gets unbalanced. They are 'checking' if the system is at fault or where I go wrong. Still have a feeling that they think I'm stealing money out of the draw and put money back in the next day... It ain't true. I now want to leave this place. Because I don't want to be fired for something this rediculous.

I've been pondering for the last 3 days about why I trusted someone who I haven't touched or seen in the flesh. It seems very dumb of me to trust some one on the internet. The fact is he wasn't just someone on the internet, he was my pen pal. For over TWO years we sent each other mail and we chat for ages and when I hooked up with my boyfriend Nick, I told him straight away about my pen pals. I have more than just one pen pal but one of them saved enough money to come to Australia. I was so excited he was coming to aust that I made plans that we will all go to Keppel Island to snorkel and party. Even do sight seeing and show him that Rocky has the best beef in Aust and why we are the Sunshine State (Queensland). Now, he tells me that he's in Australia with his sister in Melbourne. Okay that's fine, pretty safe idea really. But then I read his blog entry and see that he isn't even coming to QLD not even to see me.

Well thats just great! I feel like I'm not good enough or that Rocky isn't a good place to visit. I am pretty shitty, that he hasn't told me on the phone or in a message that he's unable to see me, instead just drag me along like I'm a lost puppy. I am really sick of people taking advantage of me. As dad says "I don't know him, so don't worry about him"... so two years of communication isn't good enough to know somebody? How can I not take this to heart? It feels like I've lost a good/best friend. Seriously eveyone knows about how much I love writing to my pen pals and how i wonder what it's like to be in that country, etc.

Enough about my feelings, no one really cares about it anyways. I'll just keep pretending to be the happiest person, eventhough, everyone can see through me.

Just gotta face the fact that you can't trust anyone.

I've used my camera to take a snap of my drawing of; The Ashtray Girl... I love this picture, I tried to make the girl in sqares however, everything else (ribbon, bow, ciggarette and clothing) is normal lines. I was trying to give the girl an 'unknown' face, because she doesn't know herself yet and is selling her soul for fashion and commercial use.
Man I love PLACEBO! Thanks to their video clip, 'This Picture' which gave me the idea of actually drawing a picture!!
I'm not a very good drawer, I have a limit of what I can do. So I have to give myself some credit for this 'ashtray girl' attempt.
I hope that PLACEBO see my AG drawing and photo manipulation/popart. I'll have to send the links to the band again to get it in their FAN ART gallery. *fingers crossed* Hopefully they've added my Brian Molko sketch to the collection too!

In other news...
Work is good, supervisors are midiocore. Customers are lukewarmly towards me, I keep getting good feedback from them. I'm cheerful to co-workers and customers. Uniform is grubby with oil stains. Name badge has the old tag saying "Love Fresh" instead of the new "Rewinding Prices"
My hair today is wavy and puffy!

I've just submitted my Thor pictures. -This is where I got the simple claw hammer idea from. In art class last year (before we graduated grade 12) we had to do mythology as our theme for the semester. I wanted to do a historical myth in my own town. Thor the God of Lightning and Thunder. My idea was (explained in Thor on Mt Sleepner 1 picture) to make a collage of buildings from Rockhampton in shape of a mountain and have Thor banging his hammer above. This idea was grand but I couldn't quiet get into it... I did a few sketches of Thor and tested different ink, but still it didn't satisfy me.
The size of the image as whole would of been HUGE trying to use an overhead projector was difficult and there was no way that I could have sketched/inked Thor's outline because drawings is my weakness in art.
The idea was just too big and complex for me to achieve. I didn't have enough confidence in this project... So, I had to impress the teacher and class some other way...
The next art lesson I had a person discussion with the teacher and she said to me that my Thor and mountain idea was good but too much for me to do, she knew how frustrated I was because my idea was so broad and just didn't know where to start... She told me that it was too 'obvious' for the onlookers point of view, needed more mystery etc.. so we thought that the Hammer was the symbol I should experiment with. Fantastic idea we were going to make a horse outta hammers but i couldnt find baby/plastic hammers to make it so I just did what I learned in Darwin and that was to make black and white photo prints in the darkroom.
The hammer.--Simple object, and yet we improved it to what is called a Claw Hammer. Imagine having Thor's hammer in your tool box... you'll turn into Thor for using it for destruction!

More ideas came to me with the hammer patterns and putting coloured ink in the developer. The rest is history!!
