I'd love to get some non-PC geek opinions to this computer, just to see what the average non-geek thinks about stuff like this. I'd also like to know if any of you could consider this machine art?

We should all have the right to photograph anything. If photographing the police is illegal how can you show the public if they themselevs are breaking the law. Its the same as censorship.

Terrorists need cameras to plan attacks. They might photograph in public places, or near public transport. If you see anything you find suspicious, do not hesitate. Report it.

I'll try and catch up - and I might even take some photos.

Its been a combination of uni and computers that have kept me away. To all who care I have managed to overclock my E8400 to 4.3Ghz which is pretty cool, and I have a new ATI 4870 - again thats pretty cool. I'm happy with them anyway.

So yes, more photos. I have ideas, just not used my camera is such a long time. I also failed to fill in my 70-200 claim form in time so I now have a lot of money in a lens that I dont want to use.

To anyone thats commented for faved any of my photos recently thank you, I'll try and get around to all of you but if I dont I want to thank you here.

I've finally organized my gallery. You can all see what I think of my work by where it is in the three sections.

If I truly like the image, and think it is worthy it is in my E-Folio.

If its what I consider rather average its in 'Nice but not great'

If its in 'Old work', I really would move it to my scraps but just don't have the time.

My Girlfriend has one and its great. I love using it. Never had a laptop before and somthing as small as these MacBooks is right up my street.

If anyone happens to have a White MacBook, with 120gb hard drive. Working or Not. I'd happily buy it off you, and get it repaired if needed.

My PC is also for sale... conisecdnce? No, I want to fund a MacBook.

Well I'm just about to update my PC, The parts are all laid out and ready - the new case is ready and waiting. I just have to take the last bits of of this very computer before the trasformation is complete.

So knowing my luck I'll break it.... if you havn't heard from me in a week its cos I broke the PC! The day I get my new camera too.

Looks like I've got lots of messages to read, and lots of photographs to view. So it might take me a while but I will look at all of them I promise.

So whats going on in my life? Well I've got two new lenses; a canon f/1.4 50mm and a canon f/2.8 70mm-200mm L lens. Also got some hardcore memory cards too

You'll all be happy to hear that seVen is still on its way! If any of you have worked it out yet.

How does focal length affect depth of field? I understand how the f number does, but not focal length.

I've not got a basic understanding of how to take a technically good portrait, I can get it in focus, have a good depth of field ect for this I have to thank leighfie. However I’ve yet to take a good portrait, look at any of pename portraits they’re simply beautiful, mine are mealy well focused piles of crap.

I know what I think makes pename portraits stand out, emotion, but I’ve yet to work out how to catch it. So to all of you out there what do you think makes a good portrait and how can I go about catching it. Any tips or tricks would be fantastic, I’m not the best but I sure as hell have buckets of enthusiasm. I’ll take on board any thing you guys say.
