Hey everyone. i need your opinion and help with something.

First - do you think my art is good enough for commissions? i need your honest opinion.

Reason - i am trying my best to try to apply for an animation school and of course to do so, one needs some form of finance.
I recently left school and i've been home very often if not everyday since and i'm not working. so i've been depending on my parents (mostly my mom anyway) when it comes to financial aid for my daily needs. i'm not a big spender so it wouldnt be much of a bother, but still.
So i need to know what you guys think.

Second - if i do manage to be able to do commissions, how am i suppose to sell my work online. i have always been skeptical about money via the internet, so i need someone to clarify the process of doing commissions on DA. plzzzz

My relatives on my mother's side are doing everything they can to help me find and apply for a school and i want to make them proud. but... i dont want to end up being accepted at a school where i'm most like being entered as an international student with the guilt that ALL the money put in to make it possible for me was by my mom and my relatives on her side and i end up failing them. i want to at least put in my bit.

Hope you guys understand where i'm coming from. so as you see, i really need the help.

i am sooooo in a happy mood right now!

ok. the 'Logos Hope' docked in my island on friday and is there for the week. i went on it today with my mom and lil bro and i found two art books. *squeals*

when i went through the books i almost screamed. in them are ACTUALLY stuff to on how to draw and colour with coloured pencil. i am so happy. my eyes are gonna be glued on those books so i can improve my colouring technique as well as drawing.

ok, now the news.
due to my resent purchase of these books, it's possible i might not be posting some art for a while. those i'm doing art trades with and request for, dont worry, i will still be working on them.

other news. i might not be on often for the rest of the week up to the middle of next week. my country is celebrating one of its cultural celebrations called Jounen KwÃ©yÃ²l (you guys can look it up if you want) and there are lots of activities going on around this time, and it is one of the celebrations i look forward to every year.

hmm...

i am trying to find an animation school, or a school/college witch offers Animation as a course in Ontario, Toronto Canada. i would really appreciate it if you could help me out.
if there are any of you watching me and are from Canada, you may be more suitable to helping me out, since you most obviously know your county a lot more than i do.

i keep checking for them online, so that my Aunt who is in Ontario can check them out for me. but since i dont really know much about Canada, i'm having a hard time picking the right school.

on my first week, i brought my folder with all my art stuff to the office for my coworkers to see. they were really impressed and told me that i should further my skills. (which is what i plan on doing)

so, as a goodbye gift, they got me two 12 pack crayola coloured pencils and an A4 artist sketch pad. i am sooo happy!! and soooo totally lucky. i am so gonna make use of it; but not too much since these sketch pads are really expensive in my country.

i'll be even luckier if my dad (who is off island on vacation) gets me a box of coloured pencils as well; since he called and asked me what art stuff i wanted while he's away.

*squeals* I SO HAPPY!!

well... she being a very stubborn and ignorant puppy, almost killed herself yesterday/last night.
she is a very greedy puppy. the more i give her food to make sure she is full, she still keeps escaping from the yard and going and eat all kind of nasty things, who-knows-where.

she ended up eating something with some kind of fresh (like fish) smell. i didnt worry myself about it, because she probably eats all kinds of things when im not home, and she's being her hyperactive self when im get back.

but last night, when i heard her making a sound like he was chocking or something, i went to check up on her there was a mess in the balcony and saw that she was trembling and couldnt get up. i figure what she had eaten may have poisoned her or something. i gave a mixture which we normally use in my county if a dog is poisoned or something. it started to work but i wasnt too sure.

so i called a vet. it was really late and there was no way i would be able to get her to a vet. so when i called the vet and explained to her what was wrong she told me to put some salt and water in the palm of my had making it kinda like a cup, and get it down the pup's throat so she could throw up whatever it was.

i stayed up to make sure she would be ok. then around after midnight, she was back to her old self again.

i checked on her when i woke up this morning and she was as energetic as ever. checking up on her around 10am, and she's sick again. so much for learning from your mistakes; i suspect she went back and eat the thing again. i swear, dogs can be so stubborn sometimes. now i gotta go back and give her the same thing again.

*sigh* i dont know what else to do for that pup to listen. i guess the best thing for me to do right now is to tie/chain her up.

T_T http://zeaeevee.deviantart.com/journal/26730509/ http://zeaeevee.deviantart.com/journal/26730509/ Mon, 24 Aug 2009 17:26:38 PDT its been more than a week now that i have been suffering from a cold congestion and its really irritating. i dont have a fever or anything, just a congestion and i have never had one stay on me for this long. i dont know if its the AC at the office thats preventing it from leaving me, but majority of the time i have to go outside in the sun to relive the congestion. i have tried almost everything (besides going to the doctor) and it still comes back after its gone for a while.

do any of you know anything i can do to get rid of it?

UPDATE
ok... so i visited the doctor today (had to miss work) and it turns out due to my congestion i've got inflammation in my left ear (yea my ears are a bit clogged as well). the vitamin c thing that people usually try to take when they have a cold, he said it does nothing to cure it. so he prescribed some medication for me to take. (hope it works)
he also said if it doesnt work and i keep coughing often (although the coughing has stopped) then it could be a sign of an asthma attack.

i didnt even know i HAD asthma (never really had any serious breathing problems and never had to use an asthma inhaler in my life). then after i mentioned it to my mom, she said that i once almost had an asthma attack when i was little too.
WHY is she only telling me this NOW!

anyway, i just hope that the medication works and that i get better soon. its also a good thing im done with school too (well, for now anyway,). i can't STAND being sick.

for those of you who read my journal before my birthday journal, (i deleted it btw) you'd remember i was really upset about my dog chewing up my coloured pencil.

now... i am so happy because my mom just come back from being off the island and she brought me back a box of crayola colored pencils of 50!! i know there are boxes with alot more than that, but at least i got more and it's better than what i can get on my home island. the maximum i can get here is 24 (amazing i've been doing my art with 12 - 24 colours as the limit). the only thing i can get here with more than 50 colours are crayons, and i dont work well with that. (plus since my country gets cheap stuff when it comes to art materials they arent even worth buying -_-; )

anyway... now im gonna be on a coloring spree with my unlimited (but still limited) coloured pencils.

the challenge is, to drawing anyone of your characters while traveling. uh huh that's right; traveling. draw one of your characters (could be more than one if you want) when you're on the bus, traveling in a car as a passenger or whatever. NOT while you're on a plane, for its probably as stable as when you're on a table, etc. and NOT while driving. i don't to be responsible for any accidents because of a challenge i ensued.

this may also be good for you to see how good you are at drawing in unstable conditions. im going to be trying it out myself, so you guys are not just be given this challenge. let me know if you're interested.

if you need any more information, please don't hesitate to ask.

anyway... lately i have been asking my friends to give me a list of what pokemon they would have in their team so i could draw an anime version of them with their pokemon.

so i thought, why not ask my online friends as well. and it will also be good practice for me to draw pokemon i dont usually draw.
