Life has been quite hectic for me of late and I'm finding myself having less time to do anything here on DA :no:

I'm in the process of moving house. I'm moving almost 150 miles to be closer to my sister who suffers from various mental illnesses. So I've been busy sorting through stuff here, chucking things out, taking things to the new recycling centre and filling in heaps of paperwork. I love this Spanish band called Wereworld and they're holding a contest to win a copy of their album.

The aim of the contest is to re-work the band logo in your own original and unique way. The image is then emailed to the band and put on their facebook page along with the other entries.

The image with the most likes by February 1st wins.

Firstly - a huge thank you for all your messages of sympathy with regards to the loss of my Grandmother. Thank You :heart:

As difficult as it is, I know that life simply must go on as normal. The past two weeks have been hell and so far removed from anything remotely similar to what I'd call "normal".

I find myself pondering the reasons why I didn't cry as much as I thought I would. Instead I just feel a never-ending emptiness no matter what I do or who I'm with.

I know that eventually those feelings will fade and I should really take much more from the poem I read out at the funeral service:

In the past hour I've had an epiphany. People are stupid. Myself included. Some a whole shed load more than others. That's why I find people so fascinating. We all have varying levels of stupidity. The really stupid ones are the ones that make me laugh the most. Perhaps I shouldn't. But they don't give me much choice - bless.

There was a second part to my epiphany that involves DA and how I use it. My god - the block function works wonders :aww: :D I don't know why I haven't used it more often :confused: (perhaps because I'm stupid? :lol: )

It would seem that there are an awful lot of two-faced individuals on DA at the moment - or they've always been there but it's their turn in the spotlight. All I can say is that whilst I may read certain blogs, comments etc (I'm nosey) I don't get involved myself. Life's too short. After all - isn't that what the "block" function is for? Sure - tell your side of the story but an all out bitch-fight isn't really called for. If you can't have your say in one go - then you're not doing it properly.

I've been absent for a few days. Wednesday I had an accident involving the newest member of our family and the stairs :no: Jinx is our new black cat - she certainly lived up to her name! She was asleep on the third from top stair and not seeing her, I  stood on her and we both went for a tumble down the rest of the stairs. She's fine. I, on the other hand, am not.

I had to go to hospital and although nothing is broken (though the couldn't give me an x-ray because the machine was elsewhere), I've damaged my lower back. It hurts to do anything and everything. Well.. after what can only be described as a turbulent few months in a rather abusive relationship - I can safely say that chapter is now officially closed. He's out of my life for good. I feel great. Like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I'm free to be me again without having to constantly question myself or answer to someone who was meant to be my partner/support.

Today I had my eyeballs numbed. Yes, numbed. My eyeballs were treated to a local anaesthetic in order for the optometrist to check for papilledema. My pupils were also dilated and I had some funky orange colour liquid put into my eyes. This was at the request of my neurologist to attempt to find answers with regards to my migraines.

The results have been faxed to my neurologist - I now have to wait to hear what steps we'll be taking next.

Having numbed eyeballs has got to be one of the strangest sensations I've ever experienced - even more so when the numbness wears off and my eyes started to tingle :aww:

So I was sent a link to a deviation that uses my stock - all I can say is W-O-W!! The concept is a new one to me (in digital format at least). The illsutration and layout are beautiful - the storyline(s) are contemporary with a slight macabre sprinkling of what I can only guess is inspired by The Grimm's Fairytales.

I've been playing this game for hours - exploring each storyline and being awe-inspired by the hard work and attention to detail put into creating it.

After what seems like an eternity - I'm finally back :aww:

I've had major internet connection issues and have had to rebuild my computer system as it got corrupted :shakefist: Luckily my external hard drive was safe and all my files etc were backed up :D

I've had a busy few months.  I'm currently working with a clothing company with regards to t-shirt design concepts and have ben working on my jewellery commissions. The aim of this new group is to be a landing spot for all 3D stock resources. I don't know about you - but having all the 3D stock on DA in one place would make a huge difference. Hello there my lovlies *waves* Just a quick update really to let you know that I have some brand spanking new backgrounds available over at PNG Tubes. I hope you'll all like them. I do have some free ones to submit here to DA sometime this weekend and some more character stuff too :eager:

My sister has had her surgery - and from what I've been told - it's been successful - the tumour/cyst has been removed.. nerve ends reattached and she is on the road to recovery. The next few weeks/months will be crucial.

I think that's it for the time being - I've probably forgotten something but I'll update if/when I remember.

I have had many emails from romiposer regarding the matter outlined in my previous journal.

Romiposer has indeed identified a number of items that are in my gallery as her own. How did she identify them? Because of personal textures that she has created and used.

Some of the items that are in my gallery are png items that I have purchased elsewhere with no restriction. Now - I have mentioned this to romiposer and I have stated that I will check my email inboxes for purchase invoices etc and forward them onto her. I did not know that these items were created by romiposer at the time of purchase.

I now know why so many 3D stock artists are deactivating their accounts. Because they're bombarded with notes and comments about them trying to pass off someone else's stock as their own.

It's been a while since I updated my journal. I suppose it's because I've not really had all that much to say.

The past few weeks have been quite hectic for me with regards to website commissions, photoshoot bookings/enquiries, working on a project with a few models, being in love, family issues, spring cleaning early, creating new 3D stock and did I mention being loved up? :giggle:

With regards to my stock - I have much more to come. I'm currently editing over 20 premades (not at the same time obviously) and I have literally hundreds of 3D png's to get packed and uploaded, and that's just for DA!
