Then you realize just how much work, time, and dedication that will take. Then you look at the art you have and say, "well how in the HELL is this gonna work." Then you have one of two choices: say screw it, give up and pursue something other than art... OR keep on trudging and remind yourself of how much you've improved and set small easy goals so that you always feel accomplished.

I'm trying very hard to follow the second option haha :/

Also.
I recently got a commission from my math teacher to draw her grandchildren. This will be my first paid commission and i'm FREAKING NERVOUS. i'm so paranoid and worried that i'm going to screw it up and she'll be like. meh this is terrible.

ARRRGGGGHH i hate pressure. i'm also horrible with artistic deadlines. i also almost just typed 'deadaliens'

anyway.

i'm finding more time to draw and i now have a list of fun things to draw and i as. i'm excited.
So far the list includes us as:

-Me in a motorcycle being bad-ass, her in a sidecar blowing bubbles / Me in a motorcycle being bad-ass, her peeking out from behind me pointing at something and wide innocent smile.

-DRUNK (im so excited for this one :3)
-Flappers (20's)
-Mobsters with our man-selves behind us (20's)
-ghosts/spirits (inspired by Supernatural)
-Little girls. i.e. me ripping a barbie's head off, her shucking corn
-Her as Sam, me as Dean (from Supernatural)
-Her as Mello, me as Matt (from Deathnote)
-Steampunk Sky Pirates
-Her as Kaylee, me as River Tam (from Firefly)
-us acting like each other
-HIPPIES
-Hogwarts students..because why the hell not
-Mermaids? i like drawing them


so as you can see i have my work cut out for me. Would you guys prefer i draw these in pencil or digitally? or upload two versions of my favourite ones, digital and pencil?

I've been on a sort of art rampage recently, as in i'm trying to improve at turbo speed. i want to be at a level of awesome really quickly though, unfortunately, i know it takes time.

My plan to draw everyday failed miserably.
But today i drew my most realistic person ever! that was pretty cool.

Anyway. I'm still trying to find my niche in the art world, but till then i'll just keep practising!

my lack of creativity is going to gradually prove itself evident to you....wait for it.....BAM.

so i'm in ragtime, which is a musical set in like the early 1900s and its showing at my school, which if any of you go to it, you should come see it. SRSLY.

anyway, artwise i am in a painting class right now which is really cool because i've never really been much into painting, especially with oils. but it's really pushing the limit i've set for myself, so it's very fun. I've decided i like it. but i prefer pencil and photoshop.

i don't have much to rant about except my exhaustion from rehearsal and the horrible coughy sicky flemmy-ness i got from my 16 mile bike ride yesterday. i don't honestly know why i did it, i just did.
thus is the perfect example of my spontenuity. SPELLIGN DOSENT MATTRE!

so i went to megacon today for the first time cosplaying as Hinata shippuden from Naruto. it was friggin amazing etc. and i had a fantabulous time.

then i came home and read the latest manga chapter.
and guess. what. happened.

SHE DIED!!! PAIN KILLED HER~! right after she told naruto that she loved him. then he goes all berserk and goes right into the foxes chakra and he has like 6 tails. IF i didn't know any better i would say kishimoto is trying really hard to end the series.
i mean come ON!! he kills off kakashi (my favorite character DX) then goes off and kills hinata, my not so favorite character but i still admire her guts and plus i am really good at cosplaying her.
IM PISSED O_O

....but megacon was awesome. if any of you went, i hope you had a good time.

ETC: i also recently noticed i have absolutely no fanart in my gallery. i need to fix that. i've already started on a piece for Naruto because YES I AM A NARUTARD. and proud. i even have a freaking naruto calendar, ok?!

MOAR ETC: for this summer i am searching for an art program i can do that will help me understand the techniques i need to know for drawing (mainly pencil art) because i have been teaching myself and i don't feel like just guessing anymore. i have looked at Ringling in Sarasota, FL. but if any of you have suggestions, please share. it would be a great experience for me, and you will benefit by seeing actual GOOD art. emphasize good.

right now i'm doing a greek mythology project where i'm drawing some greeketh pictures, which so far i am quite proud of. i can post the sketches if you guys want, but i'm still in the sketching stage, i hope i can finalize and color them soon.
in total there are five and so far i have medusa, a siren (syrene?) sketched out, gaia and oranos are still a bit bleh, my friend did cerberus for me as an example because my skills at drawing animals are...lacking. and then i am putting all nine muses into one drawing of awesome. well it's awesome in my mind, hopefully it will transfer to the paper.
and i have two weeks to finish this whole thing up which sucks because i've never been good with drawing deadlines.

so what is this i hear of a DeathNote Movie?? apparently it has already been aired in Japan and is finally coming to the US of A and i'm not sure if i should be excited or appauled. for one, the trailer looks EPIC. for two, i don't know if the movie might fail to show the true profound awesomeness of DeathNote. here is a trailer i found, though it's not in english...but it's proof that the movie exists!
