Some Digital painting practice using a random sketch I had stored on my computer. I wanted to make more of these practices because I think it makes a while I don't keep up at them and need to get a lot better with digital paintings. (Also need to practice anatomy, poses, backgrounds, fur textures... A lot of things haha).
And another drawing of my character adi, I still have been experimenting with her design, this one I did a bit different nose, may be experimenting more with m sketches.
Also I really wanted to make a background but I didn't managed to make anthing good D': so in the end I gave up and did this random common, without any attractive aspect background... At least I really like the character painting and I think it was a really good practice.

Finished commission for ScurvySimon! This is Leroi, a Pamber; a fictional anthro cat species with some lion characteristics, and big cute hand and feet paws. Pambers are a species who are used as slaves by humans in Simon's story, however Leroi is a young adventurous pirate! Loved this character and his story, and all his awesome accessories say a lot about him.

4th big collaboration with my dear friend We usually made collabs for EF, but this years theme wasn't my cup of tea xD So I just drew a tiger since I wanted one for a long time.
Also I promised a tiger picture for her what she can paint :3

I love the way as she painted my lineart and I'm so happy with the result!!!

Clouded Future

I was able to see some active and lovely Clouded Leopards at the Denver Zoo last month and planned a painting of one of them immediately. I was actually working on this when the press release was issued that Clouded Leopards had been declared extinct in Taiwan. [link]
The species continues to live elsewhere, but their future is anything but clear at this point.
The rock is inspired by stromatolite fossils.
The swirls and background are intentionally distressed.

Here's a very late piece for my mom. I'm sure many can relate that their mom probably still see's their child like this, which often leads to paranoia and being over protective in general.

You know what? I'm okay with that, it's what mom's do. I notice as I get older, I feel like I don't express how much I love my mom as much as I should. Personally she would give me anything if she could, and sacrifice so much for me. She hasn't been well for two years and hasn't been able to work, so it's my turn to take care of her as she did for me.

I don't say this as much as I do, but I love you mom. <3

I absolutely love Game of Thrones, so I was super excited to be able to do this! :3 Wahyarhiadra suggested the wind effect, and I think it really added beautifully to the piece!

Impressive is a ooak (one of a kind) kirin sculpture. He was made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, and painted in acrylics. He has brown resin eyes, and his hair is tibetan lamb fur. He stands about 8 inches tall to the top of his antlers, and 4.5 inches tall from chest to bum.

Impressive was a commission, and a fun one too; I haven't done many dark kirins and I had been wanting to do a coppery coloured one for a while. He has more deer-like anatomy, and the taller, slimmer look was a big of a change from the last few goat-shaped ones I've done. The commissioner lives close enough to me that I could deliver him in person, which was also a neat experience. I was quite sad to see him go!

No worries, I wasn't actually traumatised. In fact I thought it was rather funny about 5 minutes later.

This is one of my favourite stories to tell from when I was a teenager. :'B ♥
I was pretty surprised to see a group of Scots in a train in Germany on my way home from my first job (I lived in some isolated village in the countryside), and was fascinated by their kilts until one guy decided to embarass his poor friend. Ahh, fun times.

invited me to enter a Assassin's creed II art contest they were having and so I whipped this up! I had been planning to do one for this game so when I heard I was like hell yeah!

I decided to move on in my story. It doesn't mean I was stock or I gave up on this, I was just having a hard time organizing my ideas and Ooh boy it did took me a long time!
It's kinda pathetic now that I think about it. while some people struggle trying to come up with something I struggle trying to choose the best idea between hundreds.

There are many paintings of Gandalf and Bilbo starting a journey, so I wanted to paint one where they are returning home. I'm still searching for my style by trying to keep things loose and leaving distinct brush strokes.

This painting started as a test for a paint program I've been making, but most of it was still done in Corel Painter. Some adjustments were done with Photoshop. The hobbit hole was referenced from photos taken on the Lord of the Rings movie set.

Sometimes--most of the time--this is what I feel like I'm trying to do gardening. I'm kind of obsessed with wildlife gardening, particularly using native species. My latest wildly overambitious project is a sort of teacup prairie, an attempt to recreate a chunk of prairie on a dry hillside about forty feet long by eight feet wide.

The problem is diversity...the vanished Piedmont prairie of this region consisted of 277 species, many of which are now endangered. At the moment, I have exactly 10 species, dotted rather absurdly over the hillside. I also don't have woodland bison, which were apparently rather important to the ecosystem, and god only knows if the correct pollinators will show up, even if I manage to coax these plants into establishing.

Still, you start somewhere. If I fail (and I will very likely fail) at least the bees will get a few good meals along the way.

So I started a painting and it looked absolutely nothing like this and I got it roughed out and laid down some color and said "This is not right."

So I started another painting that had some elements of this, but also a bunch of rocks and other crap, and it was utterly and totally wrong and I painted rocks for three hours and said "This is not right and also I hate it and also I am a terrible artist and this is horrible and awful and I am going to go become a warthog farmer and never paint again."

So then I did this painting and said "Right. Okay. That was it. Whew. What was I thinking with that other thing, anyway?" and canceled the shipment of warthogs and all was right with the world.

There has got to be an easier way to get a painting right, but I have yet to find it.

Man been working on this all day! Aufua has popped up every now and again in my work. He's a pretty big character in my story. I just love drawing him realistically!
He used to naturally have blueish-white eyes but here they are red. They changed to red after a certain event in his life.
Keep in mind Aufua is Sosorian's father, which means he is Kela's and Soran's grandfather
