Spider Man

Strengths:
♦ Lightweight and highly maneuverable frame. Extremely Agile/Aerobatic.
♦ Capable of rapid climbing/travel through the use of unique climbing technology (can stick to seemingly any surface) and an unknown webbing material
♦ This mech is the only known source of a incredibly strong, ultra light, and temporarily indestructible web-like substance.
Webbing dissolves before any meaningful scan can be completed
♦ Contains a highly advanced Alert System. Seemingly precognitive, this system can only function in short bursts, but this, in addition to a highly developed reflex response system allows, the Spider bot to easily avoid almost every instance of attack.

Weaknesses:
♦ Webbing supply is finite. Needs time to re-charge/grow the substance.
♦ Relies on Attack + Avoidance tactics. Not especially effective fighter in enclosed spaces.
♦ Seems to suffer from the illogical urge to constantly mock.

Despite being constantly put up against far superior combat machines, the Spider Man mech has yet to be defeated or caught.

"If they were to pull off Krusty's heist, they were going to need a distraction, and Bart was best at that. Homer thought it was a stupid idea, but the money was too good to say no.

The next day, Bart and Otto arrived at Homer's house and readied up. They were to meet Lenny and Carl at the Springfield Bank where they robbery was supposed to take place.

Bart walked into the bank, and immediately began his stint, taking the security guards by surprise. And then Homer took over, bashing both in the head with his rifle and walking in, commanding every one to get down.

As the duffel bags were filled with cash, Lenny and Carl went to the larger dafe in the back. Homer watched guard, as Lenny and Carl finished their gig. After they destroyed the civilian's cell phones and took out the phone lines, the group left.

Homer rushed to Lenny's car, pushing Bart in. As he went to hand the duffel bag to Lenny, he was stopped with a cold Duff beer, courtesy of Lenny

"Hey Homer, you're gonna need this."

Boom. A gunshot went off, straight into Homer's leg. Homer dropped to his knees, as Lenny pushed him over. In the back of car, Bart struggled as Carl tried to contain him.

"We don't need the money, we got what we came for." The car drove off, speeding away as Homer regained his strength.

Chief Wiggum's police sirens grew louder as Homer got up, awaiting his final demise. He leaned up against a parked police car, taking out a loaded .45 pistol and cracked open his beer. As he took a sip, the rest of the boys in blue surrounded him, guns armed.

Homer smiled and said one final word.

"Doh." "

This flaring of aurora came about so fast I didnt have time to go anywhere, could barely get out the camera fast enough, had to take this 80 meters from where I live, so excuse the few ambient lights in the distance and the airport fence.

I checked this agains the time and its power was 110 gw, if you want that in more common terms, imagine a car with 1.35 million horsepowers.

I think I got the shape obsession from drawing, perhaps that is my niche, dont know.

Just a little perspective on the power of this one, this is a M 1.7 flare or Cme ( coronal mass ejection ).

a B1 is a pretty weak aurora, a C1 is 10 times as powerful as a B1, and a M1 is 10 times as powerful as that again.

The strongest flare ever measured was in 2003 where they measured a X45 flare which is about 50 times as powerful as you see here, but that was not earth directed.

Also this one of the few deviations available for download, so if you want a, well kinda small background, you are certainly welcome to use this.

Shot with nikon d800, 14-24 f/2.8 @ 14mm, 2.8, iso 1600, 4 seconds.
Post processing: Contrast +32, shadows -10, clarity +38, darks -12.
Temp reduced from 4500 to 4250.
Niks software detail extractor and Unsharp mask ( 85, 1.0 pix radius )

Djupvik in northern norway is an amazing place to see the aurora borealis and for anyone concidering traveling to norway, I can certainly recommend this place.

My real fantasy world

A pic I was streaming yesterday. I have to say, I'm not 100% happy with everything in the bg but I didn't want to overwork it so I'll just let it be like this ;; I might go back later and fix some small things if I feel like it. But I'm happy with the colours in any case!

Nice to draw a corgi anyway this doggie is based on *Detrah's dog, Nemo.

I used some photos taken by =Berneri as references for this picture to get the colouring right too.
I'm playing with the idea of doing a series of painting different (and mostly my personal favourite) dog breeds. Already did border collie here last year

so expect a few more at least haha they won't all have the same expression, no worries!

I actually organized these brush set today that I have made them all since a few months ago ( I think I kept adjusting them about the time I made the chalk one) Honestly, I wanted to share these before, but...... my tablet disliked me so he committed suicide and left me alone with pencil and paper lol. Anyway I decided to share them to you now. ^^ I hope you like them too.

Also I have done all traditional commissions and I will post them soon as well!!!

I was out of town this weekend. On the ride back, though, I woke up just as the plane was beginning to descend and decided to snap a picture.

It was quick, and not very focused, but I figured I'd post it anyway. Gotta love the view from 30,000 ft. in the air.

Really diggin the color pallet that they used in the new HOTS cinematic, so I thought I try painting this with it.

The trailer was like...as if JJ Abrams and Michael Bay just had a babbi and it was delivered at Blizzard, really cool and all but still can't compare to the epic storytelling from Broodwar cinematics...

Plus I really wanted to see the Warhound in the game, but I guess a smurffed Spidermine is what higher-ups want : /

Can't wait for March 12th!

The different lights and shapes you see are ambient light from Oksfjord (a small village), the northern lights and the milky way stretching over the horizon.
The colors are emphasized for artistic purposes.

Autumn 2012

With the aim of shooting some Scottish Landscapes in dynamic weather I started my trip to Great Britain in mid-November and traveled for about 5 weeks trough the country. My journey took me from the south coast of England via Northumberland to Scotland. In Scotland I traveled from the Isle of Skye to Caithness, Torridon and Assynt. As expected the weather conditions were very contrary (snow, sun, storm, rain). The exposed position at the Atlantic Ocean is responsible for the unpredictable weather in western Scotland. Often its possible to experience several seasons within one day. Although it often wasnt very easy to keep my camera dry, I was rewarded with a variety of spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

In the second part of my UK-series 2013, I present the images of the Isle of Skye. The fascinating hills and the impressive coastline are typical for the Scottish landscape. The weather was as expected at the end of November very rough. During my ten-day stay there was no day without rain and storm. But in the rare minutes when the sun showed the landscape turned into a fairy tale world and I was spectacular rewarded for the long rainy waiting times. I'll upload them here on DA during the next days. English descriptions and more shoots will follow soon!
