Started as an eye study for myself on Matt's creepy black and yellow eyes, turned into a "the more things change, the more they stay the same" reference for the character. He looks LIVID, or at least, as livid as a person with skin that doesn't crease or wrinkle can.

I wanted the gray in his eyes to be subdued so that when you look at him, you won't see them unless he's RIGHT in your face, but I guess that'll have to be more for future reference. Also I like the more elvish ears on him, I'll toss that onto the list of things "that makes Matt (as a character) different".

Coloring Tutorial

Due to popular demands ,I decided to make a coloring tutorial .To avoid page stretch ,I used flash to make a book like tutorial .I had a lot of fun working with flash, though it was frustrating at times. I checked the tutorial 4 times ,and had 2 friends tested it /correct it for me ,so it should work smoothly .

Just a Note. This tutorial is not for beginners ,it's for people with at least some understanding of how digital programs work .This tutorial is very general that means it have about a little of everything .

Tip .If you have trouble with picking colors or shading ,then you should probably try to find some good references on google (cloth ,skin ,shoes ,etc) . It helps a lot .Also picking colors comes with experience, you can't expect to learn it in one day ,again the best way to learn about the different tone combination is to find references and learn from them .

Tutorial Time Episode 1?

4 or 5 people suggested I do a coloring tutorial [in Flash]. I wanted to animate the tutorial from the get-go, but didn't have any ideas of how to make it entertaining. I had a different idea and the audio already recorded (basic spoken instructions with some bad jokes thrown in) but I hated it. Anywho, on the way home from work, nothing was on the radio, so I started playing with the "I am T-pain" app on my iphone, picked the "bartender" track and improvised the audio in this Flash. After that I just did some [very] limited animation with the screenshots I had for the text version of the tutorial that got scrapped.

tl;dr version: I freestyled the song in the car and drew pictures to it.

I'd like to do more animated tutorials. Any ideas? Don't worry, I don't HAVE to sing in them

I'll have to redo that intro so I can use it on non-flash tutorials.

Dollar Fighter Round One - Falour vs Nurse Erin

This was quite challenging for me as I am normally a vector artist as I came to drawing on computers through my web designing career learning to use Fireworks. So this is my first time attempting to draw something that is pretty much not just a basic front on shot of a character and it's also my first time using a combination of Fireworks and Gimp, it's actually my first time using Gimp ever.

So as the final product shows I definitely need more practice, but I am happy that I got the chance to enter this tournament as it has relit the fire that got me drawing in the first place

Anyways here it is Round 1, Falour Grey versus Nurse Erin

After a long and tiring battle Falour takes a breather and surveys the damage of their ferocious battle. Matched in speed, strength and toughness Falour had to call upon the knowledge and experience he has gained through his many assassinations to win the battle. She was a tough oppenant maybe even the toughest but Falour's battle-forged mind and body has granted him this victory.

Exhausted Falour speaks "Rest now, for it is over" and strikes the final blow...

... I might have overdid this just a tiny bit due to having too much time on my hands to play with Photoshop. I don't know if the snazzy frame breaks any rules as of yet, so I've uploaded a frameless version as well.

I'm not crazy. That's just about 50% of the whole Dollar Fighter roster, I swear! Be sure to zoom in to see a few jokes in the big ball of violence still on the cruiser!

Tried my hand at a little perspective with the anchor falling towards Ryu, but that didn't turn out so good. Oh well, whatever happens this round, I had fun!

The latest in my line of twisted faerie tales. This time we delve into that classic maritime tale of love across different worlds and bad bargains. This time round, our head-strong merwoman seems to have gathered together a hot crustacean band of cutthroats and sunk her prince's ship. Not satisfied with dubious contracts, she's bringing her prince (and all his gold) down to her.

Another one of my all-time favorite cartoons as a kid. Just rewatched the series via Netflix and I gotta say, it still holds up to my standards. The characters are surprisingly well written and acted. Despite the gross factor, the show is still very charming. Ickis will always be one of my favorite characters. c:

I admit, I am really proud how this one turned out. Maybe because I haven't drawn anything proper for quite a while . I meant to make it a full-production with color and all, but sadly my hands aren't feeling up to it AT ALL (stupid carpal-tunnel), so a greyshading was the best I could do... for now at least

AND LOOK! Her boobs are normal sized! I'm so proud of myself~ XD

This is from one of the final scenes in my "OCT Finale Part 3" with my character Wren standing over KC. The title itself is ironic, though I think it'd make more sense if one has read my entry.

Also, yes. I know KC is supposed to have a tail, but it just looked stupid to have it come out on the side, so I figure she keeps it tucked under her so it's not visible~

Princess Zelda was made for in the Video game swap at MLP Arena.

Painted in a pale skin colour, rehaired with Dollyhair nylon (Gingerbread). The skirt is fabric painted with acrylics, all other parts of her outfit are made with Apoxie Sculpt and painted. I had to take some liberties because of pony anatomy, and lack of skills. The sword is somewhat rushed, I wasn't going to make one but ended up with leftover bits of Apoxie and had nothing to do while waiting for the other parts to dry. But I was already late by a day or two so I didn't want to waste any more time on the sword.
