This work got the same caracteristics as the "Winged angel" series even tho I said that I'll stop making them, I got inspired to make somthing like that again and also I still didn't find a new subject to work on hehehehe

Of course Sim City is property of Maxis/EA Games and credit goes to them for the original concept of the game.

This is a continuation of my Video Game Movie Poster series. For this piece I focussed on Sim City Classic which was the first game I ever played on a console.

I made this piece entirely in Photoshop, it took approx 17 hrs to complete after including alot of research, name finding & release date searching. I was surprised to find out about all the versions that came before the SNES version. The size of this poster is 13"x19"

I included a few things in the poster that were in the game. Such as the RCI indicator. The buildings and the poster itself was entirely created using only the colors blue/green/yellow to represent the 3 building types commercial/residential/industrial.
The release date was from the time when Nintendo didn't give specific dates for release only month timeframes. At the time as well Maxis was independent and not owned by EA.

She is Baalhu, one of the Ancients. Legends say she dwells in the mountains, waiting for the brave and desperate to seek her out. She richly rewards those who find her, granting them anything they desire… and taking their souls as payment. Before they die, those mortals are forced to return to her. She places their souls into the bodies of bluebirds, cuts out the heart - - staining their chests red - - and sets them free into the world to be her eyes and ears.

Never tell a secret when there are bluebirds nearby. She might hear you.

The sketch for this painting has been lying on my hard-drive for years. I’ve been meaning to finish it for ages, and a few weeks ago a burst of inspiration hit. It still ended up being a struggle to finish. August was a turbulent month. Still, here it is.

Painted in Photoshop CS4 (yay!) and Corel Painter 8 with a Wacom Intuos4 (double yay!).

This artwork was done for a "20 steps to extreme realism" workshop done for ImagineFX issue 40.
Nothing really too surprising about the concept - the point was to push the realism as far as I could.

This image was originally a simple sketch on paper. The idea to do a complete color project came later. The inspiration came from Lord of the Ring and everything around that.

I did a concept sketch and painted in Photoshop over it. I used few references of castles and cathedrals to give me some ideas. I did a 3d modeling of a castle to help me with perspective and lighting. This image background scenery was one of my first exploration related to matte painting and matte art and all CG environment world done in 2002.

I went on an endless, long bike ride today in the hot weather. I hope the pics I took are worth it
I had to put a sky in this one because the field's sky was nothing interesting. Just blinding white, which can be a pain to blend a sky to that.
Since I took them at medium size, working with them in PS made my computer freeze afterwards

anyway, I'm in a golden/yellow mood of colors
And I will upload the field and sky as stock later on =night-fate-stock
