HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CUTEINKOREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so.... i finally made ponies with MissKika-esque eyes. i've wanted to do a pony based on art of hers before, but... i could never decide which! everything is amazing and i was so busy going back and forth between favorites i eventually just ignored the project. but now, not only can i celebrate the blog's anniversary, i can create these as a gift for her and her ever loving fiance, Nara, and enter their fanart contest all at once! yay!!!!!!!!!!!! so i was finished painting like last week, but i ran out of blonde hair on Martina from EatYourKimchi.com so i had to order more. I USED AND ENTIRE HANK OF NYLON FROM RETRODOLLSUS.COM IN ELLE ALONE! well ok, technically i have like 5 plugs of decadence left, but really, what can i use only 5 plugs on? Nara, on the other hand, used only a reasonable amount of roasted chestnut monofiber also from retrodollsus.com.

both were painted and sealed with acrylics by hand by yours truly. hair was boiled and styled by me as well. i hope Elle and Nara like them enough to give me an address to which i can send these lil ponies, cause it's hard to give a gift if you can't send it....

also... because these eyes are not my style, and are based heavily off of MissKika's art style i will not be repeating them, even tho, yes, they are very awesome. if you don't know it yet, you will, my normal pony eyes are pretty awesome too! XD

This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's stunning portrayal of Eliza Doolittle from the Oscar-winning musical "My Fair Lady"

I used a 12-inch Mattel Audrey Hepburn doll (see photos) . I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Ms. Hepburn as Eliza. The doll's hair undergone painstaking transformation to faithfully capture the character's look the Embassy ball scene of the movie.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

Alright guys it's time for a new fanart, I have been working on this since Sakura's parents rumors were around, I always wanted to make a drawing like this and now that we know more about them I couldn't wait anymore!

Luckly I guessed Kizashi's personality right, I usually don't draw characters without knowing more about them and how they behave but this time I was lucky! So I hope you will enjoy it!

It's heavily influenced by the new Naruto movie "Road to Ninja".

Edit 6/1/12: Normally I don't go back and fix old fanart but a few things about this piece has been bothering me for a while. I basically just fixed her eyes and mouth, and attempted to give Toph a more mischievous look (admittedly I was terrible at expressions when I did this piece).

This whole Korra thing is overwhelming; and the more I think of it, the more I realise that Aang won't be there... and this makes me feel sad ç___ç
I don't think that we'll have many chances of seeing Aang and Katara's family life, so I felt like doing a bunch of random "missing moments" Beware for some massive Kataang and "cloudbabies"!
I don't know how Kya, Bumi and Tenzin looked like when they were kids, so I made them up ^^
Sorry if some of them are not much accurate, I just drew in a rush what I had in my mind

I'm tempted to do more of these: now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside And mommy!Katara is just so beautiful!

100TH DEVIATION! OMG... finally! Jeez... it's taken me 8 years to reach this point, but I've finally done it! *pats self on the back*

Life is good. Legend of Korra and TMNT are coming out next year, Thundercats is on, I'm eating a chobani... Yeah, life's good.

I think the only thing that's a little off in my life is that I haven't seen both my pugs in about 3 months. [link]

I could have sworn "this modern love/kills me/thrills me" was a lyric in the Bloc Party song but when I looked it up later it would seem that I imagined it. The actual lyric is "this modern love/breaks me/wastes me." :0 HRMMM.

And for those of you who don't know about this adorable series, this is NOT Yuri. It's 100% Het. lol.

The pretty purple haired girl is actually a boy who just happens to cross dress for a hobby.

I LOOOOVE these two! This series is so cute! And the characters themselves are all so relatable. Tsukimi, you're so nerdy and awkward I just wanna pinch ur cheeks!!! Watch it/Read it if you haven't!!!! (read it especially since the anime ends too soon)

I think that if these two were to ever have a wedding, they'd both be wearing Jellyfish wedding dresses that they both made <3

I've wanted to do fanart of these two since I first saw it months and months ago. Dunno why it took me so long. I think part of the reason why I love them so much is because they remind me so much of Seiya/Usagi from Sailor Moon. >.<

Although, I have to admit, Tsukimi x Shuu is also very squishable.

So, when I was 12, in middle school, I started trying to draw anime because all the best "artists" in my school drew anime characters. I got really into Sailor Moon and one of my favorite activities was to redesign her outfit. So, in 2001 I drew this:

2001 version

Two years later, I was digging through some older drawings, found it, and since I had vastly improved (in, you know, VERY relative terms) I decided to redraw it.

2003 version

Two years later I stumbled upon both copies and decided to begin the tradition of doing a new version of the same picture every two years. And so it went...

2005 version
2007 version
2009 version

And so here we are, ten years later, I'm 22, I just finished college, and I'm still redoing the same damn picture. Looking closely at this one and the 2001 version, I feel like embarrassingly little has changed...sure, there are SOME improvements (...she's at least, like, MORE in-proportion....) but generally speaking...uuuuurgh.

Ha ha ha. Anyway, enjoy.

I've been holding out on this joke since forever, waiting for designs of Tenzin to come through. I got impatient, and posted it anyway, even tho I'm sure someone has beaten me to the punch by now. When Tenzin's real design comes out, I'll fix him. OH GOD I WANY TENZIN NOWWWW

yes, i was supposed to be finishing a Konoha Corner fanart, but then my sis told me about this show "Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasures" and i completely fell inlove with it.. its funny, corny and yeah disney-ish..but the part i loved th most is the existence of this male pixie named terrence, he was tinkerbell's "bestfriend" (i wished they were a couple) . they look so cute together so i decided to make this fanart as soon as i finished watching it i immidietly sketched something
