This image is build upon recent events in which Pluto has been degraded to a "dwarf planet". It is now no longer part of the classic lines of planets. It's strange when you've been able to memorize the planets ever since you were a kid, and for the future will have to leave this poor little icy rock out.

I liked doing a smaller project for a change. I had this simple idea, and worked on/off for about a week on completing this image. I had great fun stuffing as many little funny details into the image as I could, and I hope you enjoy this image as much as I enjoyed making it!

I ended up spending so much time on modeling that the lighting got the short end of the stick as it were. I'm still not really satisfied with that part of it and may go back to it later.
Also, the original concept of the image was at night, so perhaps I'll go back and create a night version as well.

At any rate, let me know what you think.

Another user has posted this image as their own, and a number of kind deviantart users have brought this to my attention. Honestly, I feel this was just a misunderstanding on the behalf of someone who is very new to Deviant. To clarify, I don't think it was posted in an attempt to pass it off as their own, but rather as an attempt to reblog it, such as you would do on Tumblr. This however is not Tumblr, and therefore I have requested the image be taken down. Thank you to those of you who brought this to my attention. ]]>

The beginnings of Paige's story. With

I wanted to show her innocence and her naive willingness to expose herself (in stark contrast to the next piece) Her story's not finished yet, please do expect a few more following images of this young lady.

Not entirely happy with the outcome....
The concept of her exposing her glowing heart/soul by lifting up her skin, like undressing, I like; but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. I used a reference photo of myself, so tried to go for a more realistic anime look with the pose, but I understand the angles of the arms, though realistic, don't work so well. I really really enjoyed painting the glow from beneath her skin, though yes, I sacrificed her boobs for this

But yay, drippy glow! ^0^
I learned a lot and will prepare better at the initial conception of a piece from now on.

I wanted to do a hopeful piece; as recently we had some crappy news from our landlord (basically he's trying to con us) but it really made me realise how lucky I am, and how many things this guy can't take away, it put things into perspective, and after the initial shock I found myself suprisingly content. It's meant I haven't been on dA to much, so I drew this to de-stress (which worked until the puddle-clouds) went for a cute chibi, though I'm not sure I matched the styles quite right XD
