Just outside the right edge of the frame (and not too far away from Shauntia) is a man operating a plasma welding torch. He was wearing a welding mask, which meant he could not see Shauntia while he was sending a zillion sparks her way. When we were ready to shoot, he had to aim it in the right direction (just behind her), flip the mask down, fire-up the torch...and do his best not to change the angle of his aim.

You can see just how close the sparks landed from her, if you look at the floor under her feet. Add that, plus her hair, and the more-than-flammable poofy skirt, and you have yourself an ignite-ably-good time.

Scary, but worth-it

The woman is certainly no sissy.

There we have the colorful pencils again ^^ I've tried to make a picture of something like this with danbo so many times, hundreds of pictures while it looks so easy xD Today I tried it again and it worked out better than before. The only thing I'm worried about is the amount of light. "hope there is enough".. but maybe it isn't that bad here, because the mood of the whole concept should be sad.

My first "big" project with resin and Acrylics, it has been much more difficult and took more time than what I expected , but still I hope you like it the final result!

This spring I was able to take a class online at the SmArt school( smarterartschool.com ) with the amazing Todd Lockwood!
From the beginning to the end I worked hard to make this an amazing piece for my portfolio.

There's so much I could say about this, and my experience learning from Todd, but for now I'll leave it at that.

Thanks be to God for answered prayers and dreams. I was able to learn under my role model.
Thanks to Todd, for being very encouraging and helping me learn how to SEE the problems and learn how to answer them properly.

edit 18/5/2013: painted the background, hair , face and some details.
for those who asked about hands...

there are no people in that dress for reall so dont think about if they are having fun or not!!
At first i was thinking about a wedding dress but i didn't like a theme with a bride so created a simple beige dress.(she is not a bride)
i can say so many things about What does this picture symbolizes especially to me,
but the basic idea is that... Regardless of how beautiful is the environment around you,
the only thing that matters is how you feel.
it can also be just a creepy picture full of spirits ... you will see only what you want to see.
